당신의 신성한 임무
Your Divine Assignment
“그러나 너희는 선택받은 민족이요 왕 같은 제사장이며, 구별되어 헌신된 나라요, [하나님께서] 친히 사신 특별한 백성이니, 이는 너희를 어두움에서 불러내어 그의 놀라운 빛으로 들어가게 하신 분의 경이로운 행위를 내세우고 그분의 덕과 완벽함을 내보이게 하려 하심이라”(벧전 2:9, 확대번역본)
오늘의 본문 구절은 당신 안에 계신 그리스도의 목적을 강조합니다. 그 목적은 당신을 신성한 본성에 참여하는 자가 되게 하는 것입니다. 당신을 당신이 방금 읽었던 그런 존재로 만들기 위해서입니다. “선택받은 민족이요 왕 같은 제사장이며, 구별되어 헌신된 나라요, [하나님께서] 친히 사신 특별한 백성이니, 이는 너희를 어두움에서 불러내어 그의 놀라운 빛으로 들어가게 하신 분의 경이로운 행위를 내세우고 그분의 덕과 완벽함을 내보이게 하려 하심이라”
신성의 덕과 완벽함을 내보이고 하나님의 경이로운 행위를 알리는 것은 당신의 책임입니다. 이는 당신의 부르심이자 신성한 임무입니다.
거듭난 당신은 탁월한 영을 받았습니다. 하나님은 탁월함을 나타내도록 당신을 보내셨습니다. 하나님은 당신에게 자신의 부르심에 대해, 자신이 어떤 자인지에 대해, 하나님이 당신을 어떤 존재로 만드셨는지에 대해 “네”라고 말하기를 기대하십니다. “네, 맞습니다. 그게 바로 접니다. 저는 하나님의 경이로운 행위를 보이도록 세워졌습니다. 내가 보여질 때 하나님이 보여지시는 것입니다.”
당신은 하나님의 사랑의 완전한 표현이자 나타남입니다. 당신은 하나님을 온전히 대표합니다. 또한 성경이 당신을 그리스도 예수 안에서 하나님의 의라고 말하는 사실에 대해 생각해 보십시오(고후 5:21). 이는 당신이 하나님의 의의 표현이 되었다는 뜻입니다. 당신은 그분의 선하심과 친절하심과 은혜의 표현입니다. 당신은 하나님의 본체의 표현입니다. 아버지와 아버지를 대표하는 모든 것은 당신 안에서, 그리고 당신을 통해 나타납니다.

사랑하는 아버지, 모든 상황에서 아버지의 뜻과 본성을 나타낼 능력과 책임을 주심에 감사드립니다. 하나님은 나를 놀라운 존재로 만드셨고, 내 세상에 그분의 경이로운 행위를 보이는 자로 만드셨습니다. 나는 아버지의 아름다움, 탁월함, 영광, 존귀, 찬란함을 세상에 보이고, 부활의 광채에 이르도록 합니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

YOUR DIVINE ASSIGNMENT
“But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a dedicated nation, [God’s] own purchased, special people, that you may set forth the wonderful deeds {and} display the virtues and perfections of Him Who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light” (1 Peter 2:9AMPC).
What we just read is one of those verses of Scripture that emphasizes the purpose of Christ in you: It’s to make you a partaker of the divine nature; to make you what you just read: “a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light.”
It’s your responsibility to set forth—make His wonderful deeds known—by displaying the virtues and perfections of divinity. It’s your calling. It’s your divine assignment.
Being born again, you’ve received the Spirit of excellence; now He’s sent you to manifest excellence. What God expects is that you say, “Yes” to your calling, to who you are, and to what He’s made you. You say, “Yes, that’s me; I’m called to set forth God’s wonderful deeds. When I show up, God shows up.”
You’re the full expression and manifestation of His love; you fully represent Him. Also, think about the fact that the Bible says you’re the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus (2 Corinthians 5:21). This means you’ve become the very expression of His righteousness. You’re the expression of His goodness, the expression of His kindness, and the expression of His grace. You’re the expression of His personality; everything the Father is and represents is expressed in and through you.
Therefore, part of your “divine assignment” is to express the will, character and nature of God. That’s righteousness. You’ve been endowed with the ability, and charged with the responsibility to manifest and express the will and nature of the Father in every situation, in every event, and in every matter. Blessed be God!
PRAYER
Dear Father, thank you for endowing me with the ability, and charging me with the responsibility to manifest and express your will and nature in every situation. You have made me a wonder, and a vessel to show forth your wonderful deeds to my world. I display your beauty, excellence, glory, honour and splendour for the world to see and come to the brightness of my rising, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
