가장 높은 권세
Supreme Authority
“믿는 자들에게는 이런 표적이 따르리니 곧 그들이 내 이름으로 귀신을 쫓아내며 새 방언을 말하며”(막 16:17)
오늘의 본문 구절에서 당신이 발견하길 원하는 두 가지 사실이 있습니다. 첫째는 주 예수님께서 우리에게 마귀를 다스리는 권세를 주셨다는 사실입니다. 권세란 무엇입니까? 권세는 위임된 능력입니다. 명령에 복종을 요구할 수 있는 권리, 또는 복종을 명령하고 불러일으킬 수 있는 능력입니다. 다시 말하면, 무언가 혹은 누군가에게, 무엇이든지 명령하면 그들이 복종해야 할 권리인 것입니다! 예를 들어, 우리가 예수님의 이름을 사용해서 변화를 일으키거나 명령을 내리는 것이 바로 권세입니다!
둘째로 그분은 또한 우리에게 대리인의 능력, 즉 그분을 대신하는 자로서 행동할 수 있는 법적 권리를 주셨습니다. 그분의 이름 안에서 행할 수 있는 법적 권리입니다. 그렇다면 얼마나 많은 능력을 쓸 수 있고, 얼마나 많은 힘을 행사할 수 있으며, 대리인으로서 얼마나 많은 권한을 가지고 있겠습니까? 이는 당신에게 권한을 준 분이 얼마나 많은 권세를 가지고 있는지에 달려 있습니다.
당신이 아무리 많은 권세를 가지고 있다 하더라도, 당신에게 권세를 준 사람보다 더 큰 권세를 가지고 있는 사람이 나타나면 당신은 그에게 복종해야 합니다.
마태복음 28:18-19은 예수님의 권세를 우리에게 알려줍니다. “예수께서 나아와 말씀하여 이르시되 하늘과 땅의 모든 권세를 내게 주셨으니 그러므로 너희는 가서 모든 민족을 제자로 삼아 아버지와 아들과 성령의 이름으로 침례를 베풀고.” 예수님은 어느 정도의 권세가 있다고 말씀하시지 않고, 모든 권세가 있다고 말씀하셨습니다. 또한 예수님은 이스라엘이나 일부 지역에서만 행사할 권세를 받으셨다고 하지 않으셨습니다. 예수님은 하늘과 땅의 모든 권세라고 말씀하셨습니다.
주 예수님은 그 누구도 비길 수 없는 가장 높은 권세를 가지고 계십니다. 할렐루야! 당신이 그분의 이름으로 사탄과 그의 졸개들과 이 세상의 요소들에게 명령을 내릴 때, 그것들은 당신의 말을 듣고 순종할 것입니다. 당신이 그리스도의 권세와 통치권 가운데 기능하고 있기 때문입니다.
기도
사랑하는 아버지, 나에게 복종을 명령하고 집행할 수 있는 능력을 주시고, 변화를 일으키며 상황을 다스릴 수 있도록 예수 이름을 사용할 대리권을 주셔서 감사합니다. 예수 이름은 하늘과 땅에서 모든 권세를 행사합니다. 그러므로 나는 예수 이름으로 열방에 복음이 널리 전파되도록 명령합니다. 아멘.

SUPREME AUTHORITY
“And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues”(Mark 16:17).
There’re two things I’ll like you to observe in the theme verse. The first is the fact that the Lord Jesus gave us authority over devils. What is authority? Authority is delegated power; it’s the right to command and be obeyed, or the ability to command and enforce obedience; it is the right to command something, someone, anything or whatever it is, and be obeyed! For example, when we use the Name of Jesus to effect a change or make a command, that’s authority!
Secondly, He also gave us the power of attorney, that is, the legal right to act on His behalf or in His stead as His agent; the legal right to act in His Name. So, how much power do you wield, how much force can you exercise, and how much authority do you really have, having been given the power of attorney? It depends on how much power is behind the one that’s giving it to you.
It doesn’t matter how much power you’ve got, if someone with a higher authority than the one who authorized you comes, you have to submit.
Matthew 28:18 lets us in on His authority. It says, “And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:” Notice He doesn’t say some power, but ALL power; also observe that He didn’t say that power is given unto him in to exercise in Israel or some parts of the world,” no! He said in heaven and in earth.
The Lord Jesus has supreme and unrivalled authority. Hallelujah! When you issue commands to Satan, his demons, and the elements of this world in His Name, they’ll hear and obey you, because you function in Christ’s authority and dominion.
PRAYER
Dear Father, thank you for giving me the ability to command and enforce obedience, and the power of attorney to use the Name of Jesus to effect changes, and control circumstances. That Name wields all power in heaven and in earth, and therefore, I declare, in the Name of Jesus, that the Gospel shall have free course in the nations of the world. Amen.
