당신의 세상을 고치십시오
Mending Your World
“믿음을 통해 우리는 세상들이 하나님의 말씀으로 지어진 줄을 깨닫나니…”(히 11:3, 한글킹제임스)
오늘의 본문 구절에 나와있는 “세상”이라는 단어는 헬라어 “아이온(aion)”에서 번역되었습니다. 아이온은 삶의 경로를 뜻합니다. 다른 말로는 시대 혹은 세상의 구조와 운영체계를 뜻합니다. 때때로 마귀는 이 세상의 경로를 자신이 원하는 방향으로 바꾸려고 합니다. 그는 자신의 시스템을 세상에 강요하며 우리가 그 안에 갇혀 살길 원합니다. 그러나 마귀는 우리 발 아래 있어야 하는 존재로, 우리는 마귀가 원하는 대로 행동하게 둘 수 없습니다.
예를 들어 어떤 도시나 나라에 새로운 지도자가 생기면 사탄은 종종 그 지도자가 자신의 방식을 따르게 하기 위해 노력합니다. 그러한 자리에 있는 지도자들은 언제 자신이 마귀의 영향을 받아 거짓말을 하며 국민과 국가를 속이고 있는지 절대 모를 수도 있습니다.
사람들은 자신이 속고 있다는 것을 깨닫게 되더라도 이미 벌어진 피해를 되돌릴 수 없습니다. 그들은 스스로를 자유케 할 수 없습니다. 성경은 말합니다. “피조물이 고대하는 바는 하나님의 아들들이 나타나는 것이니… 그 바라는 것은 피조물도 썩어짐의 종 노릇 한 데서 해방되어 하나님의 자녀들의 영광의 자유에 이르는 것이니라 피조물이 다 이제까지 함께 탄식하며 함께 고통을 겪고 있는 것을 우리가 아느니라”(롬 8:19-22)
우리가 바로 세상 곧 모든 피조물을 부패의 속박에서 하나님의 아들의 영광스러운 자유로 구출해내야 하는 자들입니다. 그 일을 어떻게 합니까? 우리 입술에 있는 하나님의 말씀(하나님의 “레마”)을 가지고 합니다. 하나님의 말씀으로 당신은 자신의 인생의 경로와 당신의 세상을 고치고, 건설하고, 재건할 수 있습니다.
이것이 바로 성경 시대에 믿음의 사람들이 했던 일입니다. 그들은 믿음을 통해 하나님의 말씀으로 그들의 세상을 만들고 고쳤습니다. 이것이 오늘날 하나님께서 우리에게 기대하시는 바입니다. 우리는 믿음을 통해 하나님의 말씀으로 우리의 시대를 만들어야 합니다.
고백
하늘에 계신 아버지, 나에게 모든 것을 다스릴 권한을 주셔서 감사합니다. 나는 당신의 완전한 뜻에 따라 내 세상의 모든 것을 변화시키고, 고치고, 구성하며, 완벽하게 만들고, 조정하고, 복구할 수 있는 역동적인 능력을 받았습니다. 내 인생의 경로는 당신의 계획과 목적에 일치하며, 나는 역경과 고난을 승리하며 살아갑니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

Mending Your World
“Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God…”(Hebrews 11:3).
The Greek word “aion” is what is translated as “worlds” in the verse above. It refers to course of life; an era, or the structure and administration of things as they are in the world. Every now and then, the devil tries to turn the course of this world in his direction; he likes to impose his own system on the world and force us to live in his system. But he’s subject to us so we can’t allow him to have his way.
For example, when a city or a nation gets new leaders, Satan often attempts to make such leaders follow his agenda. Those leaders may never know when they’re being influenced and caused to lie and deceive their people and nation.
Even when the people find out that they’re being deceived, they can’t reverse the damage; they can’t free themselves. The Bible says, “For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God…. Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.” (Romans 8:19-22).
We’re the ones to deliver the world—all of creation—from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the sons of God. How? It’s with the Word of God (the “rhema” of God) on our lips. With the Word of God, you can repair, construct and reconstruct the course of your life and your world.
That’s what the men and women of faith did in Bible days. Through faith, they framed or repaired their world with the Word of God. It’s what God expects of us today: we must frame our era with the Word of God through faith.
PRAYER
Dear heavenly Father, thank you for giving me dominion over all things. I’ve received the dynamic ability to cause changes, repair, frame, perfect, mend, and restore everything in my world in line with your perfect will. The course of my life stays consistent with your plans and purposes, and I live victoriously over the adversary and the adversities of life, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
