신성한 실재
A DIVINE REALITY
“하나님이 그들로 하여금 이 비밀의 영광이 이방인 가운데 얼마나 풍성한지를 알게 하려 하심이라 이 비밀은 너희 안에 계신 그리스도시니 곧 영광의 소망이니라”(골1:27)
이번 한 달, 혹은 적어도 앞으로 2주간은 매일 시간을 내어 오늘의 본문 구절을 묵상하십시오. 침대에 누워서도 이 구절을 끊임없이 큰 소리로 읽으십시오. 걸을 때마다 “그리스도가 내 안에 계신다” 라고 생각하며 중얼거리십시오. 저는 수년 전에 이렇게 했었고, 이 행동은 확실히 제 삶을 변화시켰습니다. 저는 이 구절의 핵심과 실재를 이해해야 했습니다. 저는 이 말씀이 제 영 안으로 깊숙이 스며들길 원했고, 그렇게 되었습니다!
“당신 안에 있는 그리스도”는 종교적인 문구가 아닙니다. 이것은 신성한 실재입니다. 안타깝게도 이 실재의 능력은 아직 사람들의 삶에서 충분히 나타나고 있지 않습니다. 이것이 바로 어떤 사람들이 떼쓰고 불평하는 이유입니다. 그들은 결핍, 두통, 그리고 감기에 대해 불평합니다! 어떤 사람들이 상처와 질병, 그리고 고칠 수 없는 질병을 가지고 있는 이유입니다.
참으로 그리스도께서 당신의 육신 안에 거하신다면 어떻게 아플 수 있겠습니까? 애니아를 떠올려보십시오. 그는 그리스도인이었으나 중풍으로 8년 동안이나 누워 있었습니다. 그러다 베드로가 그의 집을 방문했습니다. 베드로가 한 것은 그저 이렇게 말한 것뿐입니다. “애니아야 그리스도께서 너를 낫게 하시니 일어나라!” 애니아는 그 즉시 나았습니다.
베드로는 한 사람 안에 거하는 그리스도의 실재와 능력과 본질을 이해하고 있었습니다. 로마서 8:10에서 바울이 어떤 말을 했습니까? “또 그리스도께서 너희 안에 계시면 몸은 죄로 말미암아 죽은 것이나 영은 의로 말미암아 살아 있는 것이니라.”
그리스도께서 당신 안에 들어오시기 전에는 당신의 몸이 죽을 운명이었습니다. 당신은 죄의 저주에 놓여 있었고, 사탄과 정죄, 아픔, 질병, 가난과 죽음의 아래 있었습니다. 하지만 성경은 말합니다. “…예수를 죽은 자 가운데서 살리신 이의 영이 너희 안에 거하시면 그리스도 예수를 죽은 자 가운데서 살리신 이가 너희 안에 거하시는 그의 영으로 말미암아 너희 죽을 몸도 살리시리라”(롬8:11) 이 일은 이미 일어났습니다. 성령님은 지금 당신 안에 거하시며 당신의 죽을 몸이나 지금까지 죽을 운명에 처한 몸에 생명을 주셨습니다.
이제 거듭난 당신의 삶은 죽음으로부터 자유합니다. 당신은 이 사실을 주장해야 합니다. 그렇지 않으면 삶의 요소들로 인해 계속적으로 공격을 받을 것입니다. 하지만 의식적으로 당신 안에 있는 그리스도와 그분의 생명을 묵상할 때, 하나님은 당신의 육신 안에서 그분을 나타내시고, 하나님으로부터 나지 않은 모든 것을 당신 안으로부터 쫓아내실 것입니다. 당신 안에 계신 그리스도는 무엇보다 가장 큰 축복입니다!
고백
사랑하는 아버지, 그리스도 의식을 주셔서 감사합니다. 이 의식은 내 삶에서 놀라운 담대함을 불러일으키고 형언할 수 없는 기쁨과 영광으로 가득 찬 하루를 살게 만듭니다. 나는 그리스도 안에서 모든 상황을 다스릴 수 있는 은혜와 능력을 부여 받았습니다. 나는 내게 능력 주시는 그리스도를 통해 모든 것을 할 수 있습니다. 내 안에 계신 그리스도가 신성한 건강, 부요, 성공, 승리, 그리고 다스림을 보장하십니다. 하나님을 송축합니다!

A DIVINE REALITY
“To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory”(Colossians 1:27).
Throughout this month, take some time every day, or at least for the next two weeks, and meditate on the verse of scripture above. Lie on your bed and repeat them out loud again and again. Walk around thinking and muttering, “Christ is in me.” I did this many years ago and it sure transformed my life. I needed to capture the essence and reality of that verse. I wanted it to soak into my spirit, and it did!
“Christ in you” isn’t a religious talk; it’s a divine reality. Sadly, the power of that reality isn’t yet as effectual in the lives of some as it should be. That’s the reason for their whining and grumbling; the lack, headaches and fevers they complain of! It’s the reason some have wounds, sicknesses and diseases that are said to be incurable.
How could you be sick, if indeed, Christ indwells your physical body? Remember Aeneas; though a Christian, had been paralysed and bedridden for eight years. Then came Peter to his house. All that Peter said was, “Aeneas, Christ makes you well: get up!” Immediately, the man was healed.
Peter understood the reality, the power and the essence of Christ living in a man. What did Paul say in Romans 8:10? He said, “And if Christ is in you, although the body may be dead because of sin, the Spirit gives it life because of righteousness.”
Before Christ came into you, your body was death-doomed or death-prone. You were susceptible to the curse of sin and were therefore subject to Satan, condemnation, sickness, disease, poverty and death. But then the Bible says, “…if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you. (Romans 8:11). This has already happened. The Spirit lives in you now and has given life—vitalized your mortal or hitherto death-doomed body.
Your life, now that you’re born again, is death-proof. You have to insist on that, otherwise, you’ll be buffeted by the elements of life. But when you consciously meditate on Christ and His life in you, He’ll manifest Himself in your physical body and dispel everything that’s not of God. Christ in you is the greatest blessing of all!
CONFESSION
Dear Father, thank you for the Christ-consciousness that inspires an extraordinary boldness in my life and causes me to live every day, exuding joy indescribable and full of glory. I’ve been granted the grace and ability in Christ to reign and rule over all circumstances! I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Christ in me is my assurance of divine health, prosperity, success, victory, and dominion. Blessed be God!
