FOCUS ON THE ESSENCE NOT THE PROCESS
“믿음은 바라는 것들의 실상이요 보이지 않는 것들의 증거니”(히11:1)
저는 종종 히브리서 11:1에 나오는 믿음에 대한 정의보다 더 나은 정의는 없다고 말합니다. 이 구절은 믿음이 바라는 것들의 실상이며 보이지 않는 실재들의 증거라고 말합니다. 즉 믿음은 소망의 본질이라는 뜻입니다. 따라서, 당신이 믿음을 행할 때 당신의 초점이 수단이나 과정에 집중되어서는 안 됩니다. 중요한 것은 그 근원입니다. 믿음은 과정이 아닌 본질입니다.
성경은 아브라함에 대해 그가 믿음이 약해지지 않아 자신의 몸이나 사라의 태가 죽은 것으로 여기지 않았다고 말합니다. 오히려 그는 믿음 곧 본질 안에서 강해졌다고 말합니다. 할렐루야! 아브라함의 초점은 이삭이 어떻게 태어날 것인지에 있지 않고, 이삭이 태어나게 하실 하나님께 있었습니다. 하나님께서 그에게 약속의 말씀을 주셨고 아브라함은 하나님께서 그분의 말씀에 대해 신실하심을 신뢰했기 때문입니다. 아브라함은 믿음의 눈으로 아기를 보았습니다.
당신은 오늘 무엇을 보고 있습니까? 당신의 믿음은 무엇을 봅니까? 당신의 영은 무엇을 붙잡고 있습니까? 당신이 원하는 그림을 붙잡고 그 그림이 당신에게 어떻게 나타날지 걱정하기를 거절하십시오!
“이런 저런 일이 일어나게끔 하나님께서 그 자리에 두신 사람이 누구인가요? 이 프로젝트를 위한 자금을 제가 어떻게 융통할 수 있을까요?” 아닙니다! 당신의 역할은 하나님께 집중하는 것입니다. 당신이 원하는 바에 당신의 심령과 생각을 집중하십시오. 당신의 소망을 당신을 재정적으로 돕는 사람이 아닌 당신의 근원인 하나님께 두십시오.
담대한 믿음의 선포를 자주 하고 그와 반대되는 표적, 감정, 두려움 등을 거절하며 하나님께 영광을 드리십시오! 기억하십시오. 당신은 보는 것을 가지게 됩니다. 성경은 아브라함이 불신앙 때문에 하나님의 약속을 의심하지 않고, 오히려 믿음 안에서 견고하여 하나님께 영광을 돌렸다고 말합니다. 아브라함은 그 그림을 붙잡았습니다. 당신이 다른 곳을 보면 그림은 사라집니다. 그러나 당신이 그 그림이 이루어지는 것을 본다면 그것은 나타납니다.
사람들이 당신에게 그 일이 일어날 확률에 대해서 무엇이라 말하든지 상관없습니다. 당신이 직면하는 문제가 무엇이든지 상관없습니다. 당신은 영광스러운 삶의 그림을 볼 수 있습니까? 당신은 더 위대하고, 성공적이고, 승리하고, 탁월한 자신의 모습을 볼 수 있습니까? 바로 그것이 중요합니다. 그 그림을 붙잡으십시오.
기도
사랑하는 아버지, 당신은 내 마음에 영원을 두셨습니다. 나에게는 당신께서 부르신 영광스러운 삶과 가능성의 그림을 생각하고 상상하고, 볼 수 있는 특별한 능력이 있습니다. 나는 내 안에서 역사하는 당신의 측량할 수 없고, 무한하고, 놀라운 능력의 위대함을 성령으로 말미암아 이해합니다. 내 믿음은 살아 있으며 항상 열매를 맺습니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘

Focus On The Essence Not The Process
“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good report”(Hebrews 11:1).
I’ve often said that there’s no better definition of faith than what we have in Hebrews 11:1. It says faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of unseen realities. That means faith is the essence of hope. Therefore, in acting your faith, your focus shouldn’t be on the medium or process; what matters is the source. Faith is the essence, not the process.
The Bible says about Abraham: being not weak in faith, he considered not his body now dead, neither the deadness of Sarah’s womb, but he was strong in faith—in the essence. Hallelujah! Abraham’s focus wasn’t on how the baby Isaac would come, but on God from whom he’d come, for God had given him His Word of promise, and he counted God faithful to His Word. He saw the baby with the eyes of faith.
Today, what are you seeing? What has your faith pictured? What has your spirit taken a hold of? Hold on to the picture that you want, and refuse to worry about how it’ll navigate to you!
Don’t think, “Who does God have over there to make this or that happen for me; how am I going to get the money for this project;” no! Your part is to stay focused on Him; stay your heart and your mind on what you want. Your hope shouldn’t be on someone helping you with the money, but on God—your source.
Every so often, make bold faith proclamations and refuse contrary signs, feelings or fears, giving glory to God!” Remember; what you see is what you get. The Bible says Abraham staggered not at the promise of God, through unbelief, but he was strong in faith, giving glory to God. He held on to the picture, because when you look away, it dissipates. But when you look at it, you see it in action, and it manifests.
It makes no difference the kind of odds they say are against you. It doesn’t matter the troubles that you face; can you see the picture of your glorious life? Can you see the picture of the greater, successful, triumphant and excellent you? That’s what’s important. Hold on to it.
PRAYER
Dear Father, you’ve set eternity in my heart. I have an extraordinary capacity to contemplate, envision or see pictures of possibilities and the glorious life you’ve called me to live. I comprehend by the Spirit the immeasurable, unlimited and surpassing greatness of your power at work in me! My faith is alive, producing results always, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
