주님을 찬양하는 사람들
SINGERS OF HIS PRAISE
“그에게 노래하며 그를 찬양하며 그의 모든 기이한 일들을 말할지어다”(시105:2)
성경에 나오는 모든 위대한 하나님의 사람들은 주님을 찬양하는 사람들이었습니다. 그들이 모든 면에서 놀라운 승리의 삶을 산 것은 당연합니다. 이제는 우리가 가장 높으신 주님을 찬양하고 노래하는 법을 배워야 할 때입니다. 우리는 영적인 노래들을 불러야 합니다. 우리는 그분을 찬양하는 자들이기 때문입니다!
예를 들어, 홍해를 건너며 이집트의 군사들이 홍해에 모두 쓰러지고 난 후 모세는 찬양을 외쳤습니다. “…내가 여호와를 찬송하리니 그는 높고 영화로우심이요 말과 그 탄 자를 바다에 던지셨음이로다 여호와는 나의 힘이요 노래시며 나의 구원이시로다 그는 나의 하나님이시니 내가 그를 찬송할 것이요 내 아버지의 하나님이시니 내가 그를 높이리로다 여호와는 용사시니 여호와는 그의 이름이시로다”(출15:1-3)
이스라엘 백성들이 야빈 왕과 싸워 그를 멸망시켰을 때에도 드보라와 바락은 아름다운 말들로 주님께 노래했습니다. “주님을 찬양하여라. 너희 왕들아, 들어라. 너희 통치자들아, 귀를 기울여라. 나 곧 내가 주님을 노래하련다. 주 이스라엘의 하나님을 찬양하련다.”(삿5:1-3, 새번역)
돌격하는 이집트인들로부터 이스라엘 백성들이 기적적으로 구출됨을 알려주는 미리암의 시는 어떻습니까? “여호와께 노래하라. 그가 영광스럽게 승리하셨다. 말과 말 탄 사람 모두를 바다 속으로 던져 넣으셨다.”(출15:21, 우리말성경)
신약에서도 우리는 예수님에 관한 이러한 예언적 말씀을 찾아볼 수 있습니다. “…내가 주를 교회 중에서 찬송하리라”(히2:10-12) 이 구절을 보셨습니까? 예수님에 관한 예언적 말씀이 선포하기를 그분께서 교회 한가운데, 그분의 형제들 가운데서 주님을 찬양할 것이라고 말씀합니다. 할렐루야! 그리고 예수님은 그 일을 행하셨습니다.
성경은 예수님이 배신당하기 전날 밤 그분의 제자들과 성찬식을 하고 ”그들은 찬송을 부르고 곧장 올리브 산으로 갔다”(마26:30 메세지성경)고 말합니다. 할렐루야! 그 다음 누가복음 10:21에서 예수님은 아름다운 일을 하셨습니다. 바로 시편을 노래하셨습니다. 시편은 영적인 노래입니다. 할렐루야!
기도
사랑하는 아버지, 당신을 향한 찬양이 항상 내 입과 입술 위에 있습니다. 나는 당신의 이름을 찬양하고 당신의 위대하심을 경배합니다. 당신은 치유자이시며, 모든 좋은 것의 공급자이시고, 만물보다 크신 분입니다. 나에게 언제나 상황을 이길 수 있는 은혜를 주시니 감사합니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

SINGERS OF HIS PRAISE
“Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him: talk ye of all his wondrous works”(Psalm 105:2).
All the great men or women of God you find in the Bible were singers of the Lord’s praise. No wonder they lived an extraordinarily victorious life in every way. It’s time for us to learn to praise and sing unto the Lord Most High; we’re to sing songs of the spirit, for we’re singers of His praise!
For example, after crossing the red sea and the Egyptian warlords perished in it, Moses broke out in songs of praise: “…I will sing unto the LORD, for he hath triumphed gloriously…The LORD is my strength and song, and he is become my salvation: he is my God, and I will prepare him an habitation; my father’s God, and I will exalt him. The LORD is a man of war: the LORD is his name” (Exodus 15:1-3).
When the Israelites fought against King Jabin and destroyed him, Deborah and Barak sang to the Lord with these beautiful words: “Praise ye the LORD for the avenging of Israel…Hear, O ye kings; give ear, O ye princes; I, even I, will sing unto the LORD; I will sing praise to the LORD God of Israel” (Judges 5:1-3).
How about Miriam’s poetic acknowledgement of Israel’s miraculous deliverance from the charging Egyptians? “…”Sing to the LORD, because he has won a glorious victory; he has thrown the horses and their riders into the sea” (Exodus 15:21 GNB).
Over in the New Testament, we read the prophetic utterance about Jesus that says, “in the midst of the church will I sing praise unto thee” (Hebrews 2:10-12). Did you see that? The prophetic utterance about Jesus declares that He would sing praises to the Lord in the midst of the church, among His brethren. Hallelujah! And He did.
The night before He was betrayed, after He had served His disciples the Holy Communion, the Bible says, “They sang a hymn and went directly to Mount Olives” (Matthew 26:30 MSG). Hallelujah! Then in Luke 10:21, He did something beautiful: He sang a psalm. Psalms are spiritual songs. Hallelujah!
PRAYER
Dear Father, your praise is continually in my mouth and on my lips; I praise your Name, and worship your majesty, for you’re the healer, the supplier of all good things, and you’re greater than all. Thank you for granting me the grace to prevail always over circumstances, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
