마지막 때
The Last Days
“여러분이 무엇보다 먼저 알아야 할 것은 이것입니다. 마지막 때에 조롱하는 자들이 나타나서, 자기들의 욕망대로 살면서, 여러분을 조롱하여 이렇게 말할 것입니다. ‘그리스도가 다시 오신다는 약속은 어디 갔느냐? 조상들이 잠든 이래로, 만물은 창조 때부터 그러하였듯이 그냥 그대로다.’”(벧후 3:3-4, 새번역)
어떤 사람들은 종종 “마지막 때”라는 말을 듣고는 코웃음 칩니다. 그들은 마지막 때에 대해 너무 오랫동안 들어왔다고 생각하기 때문에 그 말이 진짜인지 의심합니다. 성경에서 말하는 마지막 때에 관한 이야기를 이해하려면 먼저 이 단어가 여러 곳의 예언에서 쓰였음을 알아야 합니다. 두번째로, 선지자나 저자가 어떤 사람들을 대상으로 이 단어를 사용하였는지도 알아야 합니다.
예를 들어, 유대인들에게 사도 베드로가 그 단어를 사용했을 때는 그 뜻이 매우 정확했습니다. 그는 교회의 마지막 때를 말한 것이 아니라 이스라엘의 마지막 때에 대해 말한 것이기 때문입니다. 유대인들은 그들의 마지막 때에 처해 있었으나 그 끝이 얼마나 가까웠는지 깨닫지 못했습니다. 어떤 이들은 의문할 것입니다. “베드로는 거의 2천 년 전에 이런 말을 했습니다. 그럼 유대인들은 그들의 마지막 때에 얼마나 가까웠던 것입니까?”
그들은 끝이 매우 가까워 있었습니다. 다니엘의 예언서에 따르면 이스라엘을 위한 70주라는 연수들이 정해졌고, 이것이 메시아의 천년 통치로 이끌 것이라고 나와있습니다. 하나님의 달력이 계속 흐르며 시간이 지났으나 메시아가 69번째 주에서 끊어졌습니다.
69번째 주와 70번째 주 사이에 교회의 시대가 도래했습니다. 그러므로 베드로는 이스라엘 자손들에게 이미 69번째 주에 이르렀기 때문에 마지막 때가 다가왔다고 올바르게 말한 것입니다.
오늘날은 이스라엘의 마지막 때일 뿐 아니라, 교회의 시대도 마무리되고 있습니다. 우리는 만세의 전쟁 중 가장 치열하다고 여겨지는 시대에 살고 있습니다. 하지만 우리는 이 시대를 위해 훈련되었고 준비되었으며, 우리는 주님의 재림을 위해 모든 민족의 남녀를 무장시키며 어둠의 세력을 대항하여 맹공격을 펼치고 있습니다. 이 위대한 일에 참여하십시오. 영혼을 그리스도께로 이겨오십시오. 누가복음 12:39-46은 말합니다. “너희도 아는 바니 집 주인이 만일 도둑이 어느 때에 이를 줄 알았더라면 그 집을 뚫지 못하게 하였으리라 그러므로 너희도 준비하고 있으라 생각하지 않은 때에 인자가 오리라 하시니라 베드로가 여짜오되 주께서 이 비유를 우리에게 하심이니이까 모든 사람에게 하심이니이까 주께서 이르시되 지혜 있고 진실한 청지기가 되어 주인에게 그 집 종들을 맡아 때를 따라 양식을 나누어 줄 자가 누구냐 주인이 이를 때에 그 종이 그렇게 하는 것을 보면 그 종은 복이 있으리로다 내가 참으로 너희에게 이르노니 주인이 그 모든 소유를 그에게 맡기리라 만일 그 종이 마음에 생각하기를 주인이 더디 오리라 하여 남녀 종들을 때리며 먹고 마시고 취하게 되면 생각하지 않은 날 알지 못하는 시각에 그 종의 주인이 이르러 엄히 때리고 신실하지 아니한 자의 받는 벌에 처하리니.”
기도
사랑하는 아버지, 이 마지막 날에 복음을 전할 통로로 나를 선택해 주셔서 감사합니다. 당신은 나에게 기름을 부으셨고, 내가 사람들을 속박에서 하나님의 아들들의 영광스러운 자유로 구출해내도록 하셨습니다. 귀하신 성령님은 사람들의 마음에 하나님의 왕국과 의를 세우는 위대한 업적을 성취하도록 나를 인도하십니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

The Last Days
“First, I want to remind you that in the last days there will come scoffers who will do every wrong they can think of and laugh at the truth. This will be their line of argument: “So Jesus promised to come back, did he? Then where is he? He’ll never come…”(2 Peter 3:3-4 TLB).
It’s not uncommon to hear some people scoff when they hear the term “the last days.” They doubt its certainty because they think they’ve heard about it for too long. To understand what the Bible says about the last days, you’d have to first recognize that the term has several applications in prophecy. Secondly, you’ll need to know who the prophet or writer was addressing with the term.
For instance, in addressing the Jews, the Apostle Peter’s use of the phrase was very accurate, because he wasn’t dealing with the last days of the Church, but the last days of Israel. They were in their last days, yet they didn’t realize how close they were. Someone may be wondering, “But Peter said these things almost two thousand years ago. So just how close were they?”
The end of their calendar had come very close. Daniel’s prophetic writing stated that 70 weeks of years were determined for Israel, leading up to the establishment of the millennial reign of the Messiah. God had been running a calendar with them until the Messiah was cut off in the 69th week.
Between the 69th and the 70th week came the Church Age. So, Peter was correct to have told the children of Israel they were in the last days at the time because they were already in the 69th week.
Today, not only is Israel in its last days, but the Church Age is also rounding off. We’re in a period that’s considered the fiercest part of the battle of the ages. We’ve however been trained and equipped for these times, and we’re carrying out a great onslaught against the forces of darkness as we get men and women in every nation ready for the soon return of our Lord and Master. Be sure to be a part of this great work, and win souls to Christ. Luke 12:39-46: “And this know, that if the goodman of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched, and not have suffered his house to be broken through. Be ye therefore ready also: for the Son of man cometh at an hour when ye think not. Then Peter said unto him, Lord, speakest thou this parable unto us, or even to all? And the Lord said, Who then is that faithful and wise steward, whom his lord shall make ruler over his household, to give them their portion of meat in due season? Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing. Of a truth I say unto you, that he will make him ruler over all that he hath. But and if that servant say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; and shall begin to beat the menservants and maidens, and to eat and drink, and to be drunken; The lord of that servant will come in a day when he looketh not for him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in sunder, and will appoint him his portion with the unbelievers.”
PRAYER
Dear Father, thank you for choosing me as your vessel to take the Gospel to my world in these last days. You’ve anointed me to deliver men from bondage into the glorious liberty of the sons of God. Your precious Spirit guides me to accomplish great exploits as I establish your Kingdom and righteousness in the hearts of men, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
