Stir Up What You’ve Got
“그러므로 내가 나의 안수함으로 네 속에 있는 하나님의 은사를 다시 불일듯 하게 하기 위하여 너로 생각하게 하노니”(딤후 1:6)
그리스도인인 당신에게는 새롭게 성령님이 임하시지 않습니다. 당신에게 임하는 새로운 기름부음 같은 것은 없습니다. 성경에는 그런 내용이 없습니다. 그러나 어떤 사람들은 갑절의 기름부음을 원한다고 말합니다. 당신이 이미 충만하게 가지고 있는 것을 어떻게 갑절로 받을 수 있습니까?
신약에는 당신이 갑절의 기름부음이나 또 다른 기름부음을 가질 수 있다고 말하는 구절이 없습니다. 그러므로 당신이 이미 가지고 있는 것을 위해 기도하고, 울고, 구걸하는 일을 그만두십시오! 오히려 신약은 당신이 성령을 받았을 때 하나님의 완전한 분량으로 기름부음 받았다고 가르칩니다. 당신은 하나님으로 충만합니다.
에베소서 3:19은 말합니다. “또 지식을 초월한 그리스도의 사랑을 알아 너희가 하나님의 모든 충만으로 가득 차기를 구하노라”(한글킹제임스). 이것이 하나님의 목적입니다. 당신이 해야 할 일은 당신 안에 있는 것을 불러일으켜서 충만하게 하는 것입니다. 성령을 불일 듯 하게 하여 당신의 존재를 통해 그 능력이 솟아나게 하는 것입니다. 성경은 말합니다. “술 취하지 말라 이는 방탕한 것이니 오직 성령으로 충만함을 받으라”(엡 5:18). 다시 말해, 항상 성령 안에서 고무되십시오.
바울은 오늘의 본문 구절에서 디모데에게 하나님의 선물인 그의 안에 있는 성령의 능력을 불러일으키라고 말했습니다. 성령의 능력은 당신이 활성화하기 전까지 잠잠할 수 있습니다. 그리고 바울은 어떻게 이 일을 하는지 우리에게 알려줍니다. “시와 찬송과 신령한 노래들로 서로 화답하며 너희의 마음으로 주께 노래하며 찬송하며 범사에 우리 주 예수 그리스도의 이름으로 항상 아버지 하나님께 감사하며 그리스도를 경외함으로 피차 복종하라”(엡 5:19-21).
고백
나는 성령을 한량없이 받았습니다. 나는 하나님으로 충만하고 내 삶에 변화를 일으키는 역동적인 능력을 주는 그분의 모든 능력으로 충만합니다. 내 안에 있는 그 능력을 휘저을 때 신성한 힘이 나에게 스며들고 하나님의 영광이 나를 통해 나타나, 내가 상황에 대한 통치권을 가지고 의 안에서 다스리게 합니다. 할렐루야!

STIR UP WHAT YOU’VE GOT
Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands (2 Timothy 1:6).
For the Christian, there’s no such thing as the Spirit coming afresh on you. There’s no fresh anointing coming upon you from anywhere; it’s not in the Bible. Some say they want a double-dose anointing. How can you get a double dose of something you already have in full?
There’s no place in the New Testament that suggests that you could have a double anointing or another anointing. Stop praying, crying and begging for what you already have! What the New Testament teaches is that when you received the Holy Spirit, you were anointed with the full measure of God. You’re replete with God.
Ephesians 3:19 says, “And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.” This is God’s purpose; all you have to do is to stir up what you’ve got inside you, to be filled. Stir up the Spirit, and let that power surge through your being. The Bible says, “And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit” (Ephesians 5:18). In other words, be always stirred in the Holy Ghost.
That’s what Paul told Timothy in our theme verse: to stir up the gift of God, the power of the Holy Spirit in him, which can be dormant unless you activate it, and He tells us how to do it: “Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ; Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God” (Ephesians 5:19-21).
CONFESSION
I have the Holy Spirit without measure. I’m replete with God, full of Him, with all His power that gives me the dynamic ability to cause changes in my world. As I stir up that power in me, I’m infused with divine strength, and the glory of God is revealed through me, causing me to reign in righteousness, with dominion over circumstances. Hallelujah!
