경험을 넘어서
Beyond An Experience

“예수께서 대답하여 이르시되 진실로 진실로 네게 이르노니 사람이 거듭나지 아니하면 하나님의 나라를 볼 수 없느니라”(요 3:3)

거듭나지 않은 사람 혹은 하나님의 일들을 배우지 못한 사람에게 “나는 거듭났습니다” 라고 말한다면, 그들은 다시 새로운 경험을 했다는 것을 종교적인 진부한 표현으로 설명한다고 생각할 것입니다. 어떤 사람들은 거듭남을 새로운 장으로 넘어가는, 더 나은 사람이 되기 위한 결단 등으로 이해할 것입니다. 그렇지 않습니다!
거듭남은 경험이 아니며, 이러한 표현들을 넘어섭니다. 거듭났을 때 당신은 무언가 “경험”하는 것이 아닙니다. 당신이 존재하게 된 것입니다.
마치 아기가 태어났을 때 “아, 이 아기는 경험을 했구나.” 라고 말하지 않는 것과 같습니다. 그 아이가 생긴 것입니다. 그 아이가 태어났기 때문에 모두가 기뻐합니다. 따라서, 거듭남은 당신이 죽었다가 살아난 것입니다. 당신은 이제 살아있습니다.
바울은 에베소서 2:1에서 “그는 허물과 죄로 죽었던 너희를 살리셨도다”고 말합니다. 또한 그는 골로새서 2:13에서 “또 범죄와 육체의 무할례로 죽었던 너희를 하나님이 그와 함께 살리시고 우리의 모든 죄를 사하시고” 라고 말합니다. “살리다” 라는 단어는 “살아나게 하다”라는 의미입니다.
흥미롭게도 거듭난다는 것은 과거가 없음을 의미하므로 “나에게 무슨 일이 일어났습니다” 라고 말할 수 없습니다. “옛 당신”은 그리스도 안에서 죽었고, 새로운 “당신”은 부활 생명을 가지고 있습니다. 그리스도 안에서 죽은 사람과 지금 살아있는 사람은 다른 사람입니다.
그래서 성경은 “그런즉 누구든지 그리스도 안에 있으면 새로운 피조물이라 이전 것은 지나갔으니 보라 새 것이 되었도다”(고후 5:17) 라고 말합니다. 당신의 “과거”는 더 이상 존재하지 않습니다. 예수님과 함께 묻혀 갈보리에서 끝났습니다.
따라서 거듭난 순간부터 당신은 하나님께 갓 태어난 아기와 같습니다. 그래서 베드로전서 2:2은 다음과 같이 말하는 것입니다. “갓난 아기들 같이 순전하고 신령한 젖을 사모하라 이는 그로 말미암아 너희로 구원에 이르도록 자라게 하려 함이라” 거듭난 사람은 말씀을 배우고 말씀에 대한 지식 안에서 계속 자라가야 합니다. 하나님의 말씀은 당신을 세우며 당신의 삶을 영광에서 영광으로 변모시킵니다.

BEYOND AN EXPERIENCE

“Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God” (John 3:3).

When you tell the natural man or those who are unlearned in the things of God, “I’m born again,” they think it’s just another religious cliché that suggests you just had a new experience. Some even think being born again means to turn over a new leaf, or make new resolutions to be a better person. No!
Being born again is not an experience, and it’s beyond these outward expressions. When you’re born again, you don’t essentially “experience” a thing; rather, “you” are the experience; you happened. You came to be, as it were.
It’s just like when a baby is born, you don’t say, “Oh, this baby has had an experience”; no! It is the baby that happened, and everyone rejoices because the baby has come on the scene. Therefore, being born again is that you were dead, but have come alive; you’re alive now.
Paul tells us in Ephesians 2:1, “And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins.” Also, he said in Colossians 2:13, “And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses.” The word “quicken” means “to come alive.”
Interestingly, being born again means you don’t have a past, so you can’t say, “something happened to me.” The “old you” died in Christ, and the new “you” has the resurrection life. It’s not the same person that died in Christ that’s alive now.
That’s why the Bible says, “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new” (2 Corinthians 5:17). Your “past” has ceased to exist; buried with Jesus, and backdated to Calvary.
So from the moment you’re born again, you’re like a new born baby before God. That’s why the Bible says in 1 Peter 2:2, “As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word that ye may grow thereby.” The one who’s born again is enjoined to learn and keep growing in the knowledge of the Word. God’s Word builds you and transforms your life from glory to glory.

PRAYER
Dear Father, I thank you for my new life in Christ; your divine nature in me has made me a master over circumstances, with dominion over the systems of this world. I’m growing unto maturity by the Word. My spirit is built up strong, and educated as I study and meditate on God’s Word, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Practical Wisdom

“우리는 그리스도 안에서 그의 은혜의 풍성함을 따라 그의 피로 말미암아 속량 곧 죄 사함을 받았느니라 이는 그가 모든 지혜와 총명을 우리에게 넘치게 하사”(엡 1:7-8)

사도 바울은 에베소서 1:7-8에서 심오한 진리를 알려줍니다. 바로 모든 종류의 지혜가 그리스도 안에서 우리에게 부어졌다는 것입니다.
에베소서 1:8을 확대번역본으로 읽어보십시오. “… 하나님이 우리에게 모든 종류의 지혜와 이해를 (실제적인 통찰력과 총명) 넘치게 주셨으니” 잠시 멈춰서 이 계시 안에 잠겨 묵상해 보십시오.
예수님께서 마태복음 12:42에서 하신 말씀을 생각해 보십시오. “심판 때에 남방 여왕이 일어나 이 세대 사람을 정죄하리니 이는 그가 솔로몬의 지혜로운 말을 들으려고 땅끝에서 왔음이거니와 솔로몬보다 더 큰 이가 여기 있느니라” 솔로몬은 실제적인 지혜를 받았습니다. 이는 오늘의 본문 구절에서 “총명”으로 번역된 단어와 동일한 단어입니다.
헬라어 성경에는 하나님께서 솔로몬에게 주신 지혜가 “프로네시스”라고 나옵니다. 누가복음 1:17은 이를 “의인의 슬기”로 묘사합니다. “그가 또 엘리야의 심령과 능력으로 주 앞에 먼저 와서 아버지의 마음을 자식에게, 거스르는 자를 의인의 슬기에 돌아오게 하고 주를 위하여 세운 백성을 준비하리라”
“프로네시스”는 실제적인 지혜이며 그리스도 안에서 우리에게 주어졌습니다. 그리스도는 당신에게 하나님으로부터 온 지혜가 되셨습니다. 그 실제적인 지혜는 당신이 신성한 통찰력을 가지고 다양한 분야에 적용하고, 활용하고, 몰입할 수 있도록 힘을 줍니다. 당신이 정치, 법, 경영, 의료, 어떤 분야에서 일하고 있든지 당신은 탁월해집니다.
이 지혜는 당신의 자연적인 이해를 뛰어넘어 하나님의 뜻 안에 당신이 있게 하시고, 하나님의 목적을 위해 하나님의 시간에, 하나님의 방법으로, 하나님의 일을 하게 하는 영적인 만병통치약입니다! 이는 또한 사고방식입니다. 올바른 생각을 하게 하고, 올바른 장소에서, 올바른 목적을 위해, 올바른 시간에, 올바른 방법으로, 올바른 말을 하게 하는 탁월한 사고방식입니다. 할렐루야!

기도
사랑하는 아버지, 나는 그리스도 안에서 실제적인 지혜를 가질 수 있습니다. 나는 신성한 지혜 안에서 행합니다. 나는 바른 시간에, 바른 방식으로, 하나님의 목적을 위해, 바른 일을 행하고 바른 말을 합니다. 내 지혜이신 그리스도는 내 안에 효과적으로 역사하셔서 하나님의 영광을 위해 의의 일들과 열매들을 맺습니다. 할렐루야!

PRACTICAL WISDOM

“In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace; wherein he hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence;” (Ephesians 1:7-8).

In Ephesians 1:7-8, the apostle Paul unveils a profound truth: every kind of wisdom has been lavished upon us in Christ.
Read the 8th verse in the Amplified version; it says, “…Which He lavished upon us in every kind of wisdom and understanding (practical insight and prudence).” Pause and let the weight of this revelation sink in.
Recall the words of Jesus in Matthew 12:42; He said, “The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: for she came from the uttermost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon, and behold, a greater than Solomon is here.” Solomon was given practical wisdom; it’s the same word that’s translated in our theme verse as “Prudence.”
The Greek Septuagint tells us that the wisdom that God gave to Solomon was “Phronesis.” In Luke 1:17, it’s described as “the wisdom of the just”: “And he shall go before him in the spirit and power of Elias, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.”
“Phronesis” is practical wisdom, and it’s available to us in Christ. Christ has been made unto you wisdom from God. That practical wisdom empowers you to apply, utilize, and immerse yourself in various fields with divine insight. Whether in politics, law, business, medicine, or any profession, you become exceptional.
This wisdom is a spiritual elixir that locates you within the framework of God’s will, beyond your natural understanding, causing you to do God’s things God’s way, in God’s time for God’s purpose! It’s also a mind-set; an excellent mind-set that causes you to think in a certain way and to say the right things in the right way at the right time for the right purpose in the right place. Hallelujah!

PRAYER
Dear Father, I affirm that in Christ, I have access to practical wisdom. I walk in divine wisdom; I do and say the right things at the right time, in the right way, for God’s purpose. Christ, my wisdom, effectively works in me to produce fruits and works of righteousness to the glory of God. Hallelujah!

Absolute Dominion Over All Devils

“내가 너희에게 뱀과 전갈을 밟으며 원수의 모든 능력을 제어할 권능을 주었으니 너희를 해칠 자가 결코 없으리라”(눅 10:19)

사도 바울은 에베소 성도들에게 보낸 편지에서 우리가 싸우고 있는 영적 전쟁의 실재를 밝히고, 마귀 세력의 구조를 설명해 줍니다. 우리는 통치자들과 권세들과 이 어둠의 세상 주관자들과 하늘에 있는 영적 사악함(spiritual wickedness)을 상대합니다(엡 6:12, 한글 흠정역).
이 구절에서 “하늘에 있는 악한 영들”이라고 하지 않고 하늘에 있는 영적 사악함이라고 한 점에 주목하십시오. 나열된 것 모두 악한 영이지만 일부 마귀들은 다른 것들보다도 더 악합니다. 그러나 마귀 세력 구조가 어떻든지, 그들이 얼마나 악한지는 상관없습니다. 사탄을 포함한 그들 모두 당신 발아래 있습니다.
당신은 예수 그리스도의 이름 안에서, 그 이름으로 기능하기 때문에 영적인 영역에서 더 우월한 권세를 가지고 있습니다. 당신은 사탄이 어떤 권리도 가지지 못하는 빛의 왕국 안에 살고 기능합니다. 당신은 예수 그리스도의 권세와 승리 안에 살고 있습니다.

ABSOLUTE DOMINION OVER ALL DEVILS

“Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you” (Luke 10:19)

In his letter to the Ephesians, the apostle Paul unveils the reality of the spiritual warfare we are engaged in and describes the hierarchy of demoniacal forces. We’re up against principalities, powers, the rulers of the darkness of this world, and spiritual wickedness in high places (Ephesians 6:12).
Observe it says spiritual wickedness in high places, not “wicked spirits in high places.” All of those listed are also wicked spirits, but some demons are more wicked than others. However, it makes no difference the hierarchy of demons and how wicked they’re described; they’re all under your feet, including their boss—Satan, himself!
You have superior authority in the spiritual because you function in and by the Name of Jesus Christ. You live and function in the Kingdom of light where Satan has no rights. You live in the victory and authority of Jesus Christ.
You have something that the devils can’t withstand—the Name of Jesus. Use it, and triumph gloriously, always! Exercise your dominion in Christ and cast out devils everywhere. Take charge of your nation, city, town and environment. Take charge of your life. Refuse to allow Satan run rampage in your home. You’re superior to him and his cohorts of hell; Jesus gave you absolute dominion over them. Hallelujah!

CONFESSION
I live and function in the Kingdom of light, with authority over Satan and the cohorts of darkness. I’ve been vested with all power and authority to subdue and decimate satanic forces and activities. I speak in the authority of Jesus even now, and declare that God’s will, plans and purposes for the nations of the world are established; His righteousness rules in men’s hearts and God’s Kingdom is established in the earth, and in the hearts of men, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

말씀을 이해하십시오
Understanding The Word

“제자들이 예수께 나아와 이르되 어찌하여 그들에게 비유로 말씀하시나이까 대답하여 이르시되 천국의 비밀을 아는 것이 너희에게는 허락되었으나 그들에게는 아니되었나니”(마 13:10-11)

자신의 성경을 이해하는 능력에 대해 불평하는 사람들이 있습니다. 그들은 종종 “이 말씀은 너무 이해하기 어려워요. 아무리 공부해도 이해가 안 되는 것 같아요.” 라고 투덜거립니다. 절대 그런 식으로 말하지 마십시오.

말씀을 받아들이고, 지지하고, 고백하십시오. 당신의 말을 그분의 말씀에 일치시키십시오. “나는 이해합니다.” 라고 선포하십시오. 그러면 당신의 이해에 불이 켜질 것입니다. 요한복음 20:21-22에서 예수님께서 제자들에게 숨을 내쉬며 “성령을 받으라”고 말씀하신 것을 볼 수 있습니다. 예수님께서 그렇게 하셨을 때, 그들이 말씀을 이해하도록 생각이 열렸습니다.
당신이 성령을 받았을 때 일어난 기적과 비슷합니다. 그 성령께서 당신의 마음을 밝히시고 그분의 진리를 받아들이고 깨닫게 하십니다. 당신이 의인의 이해를 가지고 있다고 항상 담대하게 고백하십시오. 당신은 건전한 생각을 가지고 있습니다. 당신은 깨어있으며 예리한 통찰력으로 충만합니다.
당신은 그리스도의 마음, 즉 탁월한 마음(고전 2:16)을 가지고 있습니다. 당신은 매우 똑똑하며, 당신의 마음은 성경을 이해하도록 기름부음 받았습니다. 당신은 빠른 이해력을 가지고 있습니다. 이런 사고방식을 가지고 말씀을 부지런히 공부하고 묵상하십시오.

고백
나는 신비를 이해할 수 있는 신성한 능력을 가지고 있습니다. 하나님의 지혜가 내 안에 역사하여 내 심령이 하고자 하는 모든 일에서 탁월한 결과를 냅니다. 내 삶은 비밀스럽지 않습니다. 내가 말씀을 묵상할 때 성령께서 영적인 실재들을 나에게 알려주시고 내 심령이 그분의 영광을 위해 예정된 길을 걷도록 계시해 주시기 때문입니다. 할렐루야!

UNDERSTANDING THE WORD

“And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speakest thou unto them in parables? He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given” (Matthew 13:10-11).

There’re those who grumble about their ability to understand the Scriptures. Often, they’d complain, “These words are too difficult to understand; no matter how I study the Bible, I just don’t seem to have a grasp of it.” No, never talk that way.
It’s your divinely given right and ability to understand the scriptures. Read the words of the Lord Jesus in Matthew 13:11; He said, “…it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.”
One of Satan’s tactics is to deceive God’s children, just as he attempted with Jesus, questioning His identity. The Bible tells us, “And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread” (Matthew 4:3). Same way, he’ll attempt to put doubts in your heart. Don’t yield to the Devil’s deception that you lack understanding. The power lies in accepting and declaring God’s truth.
Accept, endorse, and confess it. Align your words with His. Declare, “I understand,” and your understanding will be illuminated. The Bible recounts in John 20:21-22 how Jesus breathed on His disciples and said, “Receive ye the Holy Ghost.” When He did, their minds were opened to understand the scriptures.
It’s a similar miracle that occurred when you received the Holy Spirit. It’s the Spirit who enlightens your heart and enables you to receive and understand His truths. Always boldly affirm that you have the understanding of the righteous; you possess soundness of mind; you’re alert and imbued with keen insight.
You have the mind of Christ, which is an excellent mind (1 Corinthians 2:16). You’re super-intelligent and your mind is anointed to understand the scriptures; you have quickness of understanding. Have this mindset as you diligently study and meditate on the Word.

CONFESSION
I have the divine ability to comprehend mysteries. The wisdom of God is at work in me to produce excellent results in everything I set my heart to do! Life is not a mystery to me, because as I meditate on the Word, the Holy Spirit unveils spiritual realities to me, enlightening my heart to walk in paths ordained for His glory. Hallelujah!

Our Primary Purpose

“또 이르시되 너희는 온 천하에 다니며 만민에게 복음을 전파하라”(막 16:15)

하나님께서는 목적을 가지고 우리를 일으키셨습니다. 그분은 우리가 주님의 재림 때까지 아무것도 하지 않고 그저 기다리도록 우리를 이 땅에 남겨두지 않으셨습니다. 우리의 주요한 목적은 은혜와 지식, 성품 안에서 자라나며 그분의 메시지를 다른 사람들에게 나누는 것입니다. 우리는 그분의 명령을 수행하기 위해, 즉 복음이 온 땅에 전파되고 모든 남자, 여자, 소년, 소녀에게 복음의 영향력을 끼치기 위해 이 땅에 있습니다.
주님은 마태복음 24:14에서 “이 천국 복음이 모든 민족에게 증언되기 위하여 온 세상에 전파되리니 그제야 끝이 오리라”고 말씀하셨습니다. 복음은 당신에게 맡겨졌습니다. 당신에게는 복음에 대한 개인적인 책임이 있습니다.
우리가 오늘의 본문 구절에서 읽었듯이 주 예수님은 우리에게 위대한 사명을 주셨습니다. “또 이르시되 너희는 온 천하에 다니며 만민에게 복음을 전파하라” 그렇다면 남은 질문은 주님께서 그 일을 성취하기 위해 당신을 신뢰하실 수 있는가입니다. 당신의 원동력과 목적은 복음을 전파하고 온 땅에 구원의 지식을 전파하는 것이어야 합니다.
사무실, 일터, 사업에서 그리스도의 대사, 복음의 청지기로서의 당신의 역할을 생각해 보십시오. 저는 디모데전서 1:11에서 사도 바울이 그 역할을 개인화한 것을 좋아합니다. “이 교훈은 내게 맡기신 바 복되신 하나님의 영광의 복음을 따름이니라”
바울이 “우리에게 맡기신 바”라고 말하지 않았음에 주목하십시오. 바울은 복음 전파가 그의 주요한 목적임을 이해했습니다. 하나님께서는 당신을 주변 모든 사람들의 삶에 영향을 끼치는 자로 쓰고 싶어 하십니다. 당신은 땅 끝까지 하나님의 구원하시는 능력에 관한 좋은 소식을 전하는 그분의 동역자입니다.
사도 바울처럼 우리 모두 이 책임의 무게를 느끼고, 복음을 전파하는 것이 선택이 아닌 필수라는 점을 이해해야 합니다. “… 부득불 할 일임이라 만일 복음을 전하지 아니하면 내게 화가 있을 것이로다”(고전 9:16)

OUR PRIMARY PURPOSE

“And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature” (Mark 16:15).

God raised us for a purpose; He didn’t leave us here on earth to simply wait until His return, doing nothing. Our primary purpose is to share His message with others while we grow in grace, knowledge and character. We’re here to carry out His mandate; to ensure the Gospel is preached in all the earth and that it impacts every man, woman, boy and girl.
He said in Matthew 24:14, “And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.” The Gospel has been committed to your trust. You have a personal responsibility for the Gospel.
The Lord Jesus gave the great commission in Mark 16:15, as we read in our opening scripture. He said, “…Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.” The question is, can He rely on you to accomplish it? Your driving force and purpose should revolve around promoting the Gospel and spreading the knowledge of salvation throughout the Earth.
Consider your role in your office, place of work or business as that of an ambassador of Christ; a custodian of the Gospel. I love the way the Apostle Paul personalized it in 1 Timothy 1:11; he said, “According to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which was committed to my trust.”
Notice that he didn’t say, “…which was committed to our trust.” He understood the preaching of the Gospel as his primary purpose. That’s how it ought to be. God intends to use you as a vessel to impact the lives of all those around you and beyond. You’re His partner in spreading the good news of His saving power to the ends of the earth.
Like the Apostle Paul, let’s all feel the weight of this responsibility, understanding that preaching the Gospel is not merely an option but a necessity: “…necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel!” (1 Corinthians 9:16).

PRAYER
Dear Father, thank you for the renewed passion in my spirit for spreading the Gospel to the ends of the earth. I’m an effective minister of reconciliation, spreading the message of salvation with zeal and dedication. Thank you for your wisdom at work in me and the effectual working of your power as I reach others with the Gospel, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

오늘의 본문 구절은 바울이 쓴 서신서 중 심오한 구절 중 하나입니다. 이 구절은 모든 사람을 향한 아버지의 사랑, 강력하고 영원한 사랑의 위대함을 나타냅니다! 생각해 보십시오. 하나님은 그리스도 안에 계셨고, (그리스도인이 아닌) 죄인들의 세상을 그분과 화해시키셨고, 그들의 죄를 그들에게 돌리지 않으셨습니다. 정말 놀랍습니다!
사람들은 예수님이 하나님이시며, 십자가에서 죄와 죄인들의 자리를 담당하셨다는 것을 깨닫지 못합니다. 그분은 사람들을 향한 사랑으로 가장 처참한 고통과 형벌을 받아들이셨습니다.

온 세상은 예수님이 하나님의 사랑의 화신이라는 것을 알아야 합니다. 예수님은 인류를 그분과 화해시키기 위해 보냄 받으셨고, 사람들의 죄를 그들에게 돌리지 않으셨습니다. 심지어 가장 악한 범죄자도 하나님의 사랑을 받습니다. 그분은 누구에게도 분노나 원한을 품지 않으십니다.
성경은 하나님께서 아무도 멸망하지 않고 모두 회개하기에 이르기를 원하신다고 말합니다(벧후 3:9). 이 메시지를 선포하는 것이 우리의 의무입니다. 예수님이 어떤 분이신지 알리고, 그분의 사랑과 희생의 가치를 선포하는 것입니다. 하나님의 사랑과 은혜의 복음을 선포하는 것은 우리의 책임입니다.

PROCLAIM HIS LOVE AND GRACE

“To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation” (2 Corinthians 5:19).

This is one of the most profound verses in the Pauline epistles. It unveils the magnitude of the Father’s love for all men, His overwhelming and everlasting love! Think about it: God was in Christ, reconciling the world of sinners (not Christians) to Himself, not counting their sins against them. Amazing!
Most don’t realize the truth that Jesus was God, taking the place of sin and sinful man on the Cross. He accepted the most gruesome pain and punishment for the love of man.
It brings to mind how the prophet Isaiah described Him in Isaiah 53:2-3. He explained that He had no form or comeliness, no royal or kingly pomp that they should look at Him. There was no beauty that they should desire Him. He was described as one from whom men hid their faces; despised and unesteemed.
Yet, the world didn’t know that the Creator of the universe, the One who had made each and every one of us, was the one who hung on that Cross in their behalf. They failed to recognize Him; they were oblivious to His presence. But that’s why He sent us to proclaim His love.
The whole world needs to know that Jesus is the embodiment of God’s love, sent to reconcile humanity to Himself, not holding their sins against them. Even the vilest offender is loved by God. He harbours no anger or resentment for anyone.
The Bible says He’s not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9). It’s our duty to proclaim this message: to reveal who Jesus is, to declare His love and the worth of His sacrifice. It’s our responsibility to proclaim this Gospel of His love and grace.

PRAYER
Dear Father, thank you for entrusting me with the Gospel of your love and grace. As I boldly proclaim the truth of your love many hear and are translated into the Kingdom of your Love-Son to walk in the glorious inheritance you’ve prepared for them, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

The Ministry Of Reconciliation

“곧 우리가 원수 되었을 때에 그의 아들의 죽으심으로 말미암아 하나님과 화목하게 되었은즉 화목하게 된 자로서는 더욱 그의 살아나심으로 말미암아 구원을 받을 것이니라”(롬 5:10)

에베소서 4:11-12은 하나님께서 “… 어떤 사람은 사도로, 어떤 사람은 선지자로, 어떤 사람은 복음 전하는 자로, 어떤 사람은 목사와 교사로 삼으셨으니 이는 성도를 온전하게 하여 봉사의 일을 하게 하며 그리스도의 몸을 세우려 하심이라”고 말합니다. 여기서 사도 바울은 성도들이 사역의 일을 감당할 수 있게 세워지고 온전해지도록 하는 오중 사역 은사에 대해 언급합니다.
이 다섯 가지의 사역 은사는 그리스도의 몸을 세우며 성도를 온전하게 하여 사역의 일을 하게 하기 위한 것입니다. 그렇다면 “사역의 일”이란 정확히 무엇을 의미합니까? 먼저, 성도들을 위한 사역에는 두 가지 종류, 즉 일차적인 사역과 이차적인 사역이 있다는 것을 이해해야 합니다.
이차적인 사역은 교회 안에서, 즉 그리스도의 몸 안에서 서로 세우는 일입니다. 이것은 종종 “그리스도의 몸 사역” 혹은 몸 안에서의 사역이라고 불립니다. 그러나 저는 바울이 고린도후서 5:18에서 말한 성도들을 위한 일차적인 사역에 대해 말하고 싶습니다.

THE MINISTRY OF RECONCILIATION

“For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life” (Romans 5:10)

The Bible says in Ephesians 4:11-12 that God “…gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:” Here, the apostle Paul refers to the five-fold ministry gifts which are for the edification and perfecting of the saints for the work of the ministry.
Since these five ministry gifts are for the building of the body of Christ and perfecting of the saints for the work of the ministry, then what exactly is this “work of the ministry”? First, it’s important to understand that there’re two kinds of ministries for the saints: primary and secondary.
The secondary ministry involves edifying one another within the church, that is, within the Body of Christ. This is often referred to as the “body ministry” or ministry within the body. But I want to draw your attention to the first kind of ministry of the saints, which Paul referenced in 2 Corinthians 5:18—the ministry of reconciliation.
There, it says, “And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation.”
Now, God, who reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, has given us—the reconciled ones—the ministry of reconciliation: “To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation….” (2 Corinthians 5:19-20).
It reminds us of what the Lord Jesus said in Acts 1:8, “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me…” In Mark 15:16 He said, “…Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.” This is a charge to every Christian.
We’re His ministers of reconciliation. We bear witness to the truth, that God was in Christ, actively reconciling the world to Himself through Christ’s redemptive work, not counting men’s sins against them. Hallelujah!

CONFESSION
Dear Father, I testify that you were in Christ, actively reconciling the world to yourself, not counting men’s sins against them. I’m a member of His body, of His flesh, and of His bones, an ambassador, and a representative of our great kingdom! The Lord is building His body through me, by my vital participation in the spread of the Gospel. Praise God!

하나님의 계획 가운데 어린 자녀들은 일정 수준으로 성장할 때까지 후견인과 청지기 아래 있도록 되어 있습니다. 예를 들어, 바울은 갈라디아서 4:1-2에서 “내가 또 말하노니 유업을 이을 자가 모든 것의 주인이나 어렸을 동안에는 종과 다름이 없어서 그 아버지가 정한 때까지 후견인과 청지기 아래에 있나니…” 라고 말합니다.

하나님께서 세우신 구조를 통해 세워진 하나님의 일들을 훼손하려는 사탄의 영향을 받거나, 무지한 사람들의 말에 귀 기울이지 않는 것이 중요합니다. 하나님께서 세우신 구조는 하나님의 백성들이 그리스도인의 삶을 살도록 세우고 훈련하도록 예비된 것입니다.
당신을 향한 하나님의 계획은 많은 교회들이 온라인이나 텔레비전을 통해 참석하는 것이 아닙니다. 하나님께서는 당신이 헌신 없이 이 교회 저 교회로 이동하는 것을 원치 않으십니다. 그런 행실은 영적으로 불안정하게 만들고, 지역 교회 안의 교제에서 찾을 수 있는 연합과 책임을 약화시킵니다.

BEING IN A LOCAL CHURCH IS SACROSANCT

“Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching” (Hebrews 10:25).

There’s a subtle but dangerous movement orchestrated by Satan to diminish the importance of church membership. The notion that one can serve God without being a part of a church community is a deceptive ploy aimed at pulling Christians away from the security and support systems established by God for families.
In God’s design, children are placed under the care of tutors and governors until they mature to a certain level. In Galatians 4:1-3, for example, Paul explains, “Now I say, That the heir, as long as he is a child…is under tutors and governors until the time appointed of the father.”
Likewise, churches serve as spiritual families where you’re nurtured and guided in your Christian walk. Rejecting the importance of church membership exposes individuals to satanic attacks, as they lack the protective covering provided within the church community.
It is crucial not to heed the voices of ignorance or those influenced by Satan, seeking to undermine the work of God through His established structures. These structures are ordained for the edification and training of God’s people in their Christian walk.
God’s design isn’t for you to merely participate in multiple churches online or via television. He doesn’t want you hopping from one congregation to another without commitment either. Such practice leads to spiritual instability and undermines the unity and accountability found in local church fellowship.
Never be conditioned to forsake church attendance. Remain vigilant and educate others about the importance of active participation in a local church for spiritual growth and protection. In Hebrews 10:25 the Spirit warns us not to abandon or relegate church attendance as some are in the habit of doing.
Being an integral, committed member of a local church is sacrosanct. David understood this and sang of its amazing blessings in Psalm 122:1-4, saying, “I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the LORD. Our feet shall stand within thy gates, O Jerusalem. Jerusalem is builded as a city that is compact together: Whither the tribes go up, the tribes of the LORD, unto the testimony of Israel, to give thanks unto the name of the LORD.”

PRAYER
Dear Father, I recognise the Church as the pillar and ground of truth. I value and actively engage in the fellowship and teaching provided by the church; thus, I’m edified, instructed, built up and nurtured unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

이러한 일들을 배우는 것은 그저 가르침만으로는 되지 않으며, 믿음 안에 있는 다른 그리스도인들의 태도, 말, 행동을 관찰하며 배우게 됩니다. 동일한 성령님이 그들 안에 거하시며 우리가 하는 일들을 그들도 할 수 있게 하십니다. 그러므로 당신이 영혼을 구원하면 그들이 지역 교회에 완전히 접붙여지게 하십시오. 그들을 위해 기도하십시오. 그들이 믿음에 뿌리를 내리고, 말씀 가운데 세워지도록 그들을 지속해서 점검하십시오. 할렐루야!

DON’T LEAVE THEM HANGING

“As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word that ye may grow thereby” (1 Peter 2:2).

In Christianity, there’s a Christian way of life. But Christianity itself is not a way of life. Therefore, when we lead souls to Christ, it’s important to guide them to be actively involved in a local church. We must ensure they become integral members of a church, not leaving them to navigate their newfound faith alone. They must be nurtured in the Christian way of life.
Once they receive salvation, show them that receiving salvation is only the beginning; they have to live the Christian life. And the only way they’re going to learn it and grow as they should is by learning God’s Word. 1 Timothy 3:15 says, “…the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.” So, the Church is the place to learn the Word of God.
It brings to mind what the apostle Peter said in 1 Peter 2:2: “As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:” How do children learn? Children learn not just by instruction but also by observation. By actively participating in the church, spiritual children or “babes” can observe and emulate the attitudes and practices of mature Christians.
It’s one of the ways they know how to pray and cultivate the right attitudes and spirit of prayer. Also, in church, they learn how to worship God, and sing the right songs; they learn how to conduct themselves with decency; they learn how to apply their faith in the face of belligerent challenges.
Learning how to do these things isn’t just by instruction alone, it also comes through observing the behaviour, communication, and actions of other Christians in the Faith. The same Spirit lives in them and causes them to do the things that we do. So, when you win souls, ensure that they’re fully engrafted into the local church. Pray for them; follow them up until they become rooted and grounded in the faith, and established in the Word. Hallelujah!

PRAYER
Dear Father, I pray for new converts all over the world today, that Christ be formed in their hearts; they’re rooted and grounded in God’s overwhelming love, being fully persuaded that in Christ alone lies their joy and total fulfilment. I declare that they’re strengthened to become effective witnesses of Christ’s love and truth in the world, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Bring Forth Good Things

“이로써 네 믿음의 교제가 우리 가운데 있는 선을 알게 하고 그리스도께 이르도록 역사하느니라”(몬 1:6)

몇 년 전, 우리는 교회에서 “너에게 좋은 일이 일어나리라”는 노래를 부르곤 했습니다. 저는 실제로 그 곡을 부르는 것을 좋아했습니다. 그러나 어느 날 주님께서 “아니다, 나는 너에게 좋은 일이 일어나거나 나쁜 일이 일어나지 않는 것을 원하는 것이 아니다. 나는 네가 일을 일으키기를 원한다.” 그리고 저는 그 말씀을 이해했습니다!
얼마 지나지 않아 저는 교회에 가서 모든 사람들에게 주님께서 나를 교정해 주셨고, 우리는 그 노래를 더 이상 부르지 않을 것이라고 알렸습니다. 수년이 지나, 우리는 모든 곳에서 “일을 일으키고” 있습니다! 하나님께 영광 드립니다!
좋은 일이 당신에게 일어나는 것이 아님을 심령으로 이해하십시오. 마태복음 12:35은 말합니다. “선한 사람은 그 쌓은 선에서 선한 것을 내고 악한 사람은 그 쌓은 악에서 악한 것을 내느니라” 당신이 기대하는 좋은 일은 실제로 당신 안에 있습니다. 그것들이 밖으로 나타나게 하십시오.

하나님께서 당신에게 기대하시는 것은 당신에 관해 기록된 말씀에 다음과 같이 선포하며 들어가는 것입니다. “내 안에는 선한 것만 있습니다. 내 안으로부터 나는 선한 것만 냅니다. 따라서 나는 선한 것들의 패키지입니다. 내가 나타나면 선한 일들이 일어나기 시작합니다. 선한 일들이 이미 일어나고 있다면, 나는 추가로 더 가져옵니다.” 이렇게 생각하고 행하십시오. 바로 이것이 진리이기 때문입니다. 하나님께 영광 드립니다!

기도
사랑하는 아버지, 생명과 경건에 필요한 모든 것을 내게 주시니 감사합니다. 나는 오늘 내 안으로부터 선한 것들을 내며, 내가 하는 모든 일에서 탁월함, 완전함, 의로움을 발산합니다. 내 안으로부터 창의적인 아이디어와 신선한 번영을 밖으로 나타낼 때 나는 신비와 비밀에 대한 통찰력을 가지고 있습니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

BRING FORTH GOOD THINGS

“That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus” (Philemon 1:6).

The Bible says in Matthew 12:35, “A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.” You see, the good things you’re expecting to happen are actually inside you. Bring them forth.
There’s no point praying, “Oh Lord, please bless my business. Please give my family more favour.” No! He already did everything He was supposed to do. The Bible says, “…the works were finished from the foundation of the world” (Hebrews 4:3). Just enter into that which was written concerning you.
The Bible talks about good things that are in you in Christ Jesus: “That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus” (Philemon 1:6).
What God expects is for you to step into that which has been written concerning you by declaring, “I have only good things inside me. From within me, I produce good things, so I’m a package of good things. When I arrive, good things start happening. If they were already happening, I bring in additional ones.” Think like this and practice it because it’s the truth. Glory to God!

CONFESSION
I bring forth good things today from within me, and in all that I do, I exude excellence, perfection and righteousness. I have insight into mysteries and secrets as I bring forth creative ideas and divine prosperity from within, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
