당신이 누구인지 잊지 마십시오

Don’t Forget Who You Are

“그러나 우리는 다 가리지 않은 얼굴로 거울을 보는 것 같이 주의 영광을 바라보며 같은 형상으로 변화되어 영광에서 영광에 이르렀나니 이것은 곧 주의 영으로 말미암은 것이니라”(고후 3:18, 한글킹제임스)

하나님께서 우리에게 말씀을 주신 이유는 그분께서 보시는 방식으로 우리 자신을 보고, 그분의 관점에서 모든 것을 이해하고, 그분의 온전한 뜻을 성취하며 살도록 하기 위함입니다. 하나님의 말씀은 하나님께서 당신을 보시는 형상과 당신을 향한 생각을 나타냅니다. 그리고 하나님께서는 당신이 그분과 같이 스스로를 보기를 원하십니다.

그러므로 말씀을 공부하며 당신의 진정한 모습과 정체성을 볼 때, 그 모습을 기억하십시오. 당신이 어떤 사람인지 잊지 마십시오. 야고보서 1:23-25은 말합니다. “말씀을 듣고 행하지 아니하는 자는 거울로 자기의 본래 얼굴을 들여다보는 사람과 같으니라. 그는 자기를 바라보고 자기 길로 가서 자기가 어떤 사람인지 곧 잊어버리거니와…”

밑줄 친 부분을 보십시오. 흥미롭게도, 말씀을 행하지 않는 사람은 자기가 어떻게 생겼는지를 잊어버린다고 말하지 않습니다. 오히려 말씀을 행하지 않는 사람은 거울로 자신의 얼굴을 유심히 보고, 자신을 자세히 관찰한 다음, 돌아가서 자신이 본 사람이 어떤 “종류” 또는 “유형”의 사람인지를 잊어버리는 것과 같다고 말합니다.

하나님의 말씀은 당신이 어떤 종류 혹은 유형의 사람인지를 알려줍니다. 즉, 당신이 어떤 “종족”인지를 알려줍니다. 당신의 “종족”은 참으로 독특합니다. 예를 들어, 베드로후서 1:4에서 거울인 말씀은 당신이 신성한 성품에 참여하는 자이며, 하나님과 같은 종류의 존재라고 말합니다.

에베소서 1:22에서 거울은 당신이 그리스도와 함께 앉아 있고, 모든 것이 당신의 발 아래 있음을 보여줍니다. 당신은 모든 것을 다스립니다. 당신은 사탄, 질병, 실패, 죽음을 승리하여 다스립니다. 할렐루야! 이것이 하나님의 말씀에 따른 당신의 모습입니다. 말씀에 따라 사십시오. 하나님을 찬양합니다!

DON’T FORGET WHO YOU ARE

“But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord”(2 Corinthians 3:18 NKJV).

God gave us His Word to enable us see ourselves the way He sees us, understand things from His perspective, and live to fulfil His perfect will. God’s Word reveals God’s image and opinion of you, which is the image and opinion He wants you to have of yourself.

So as you study the Word and see your true image and identity, retain the picture; don’t forget who you are. James 1:23-25 says, “For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was.…”

Observe the underlined portion. Interestingly, it doesn’t say that the one who doesn’t do the Word forgot what he looked like”; rather, it says such a fellow is like a man who looks carefully at his own natural face in a mirror, thoughtfully observes himself, and then goes off and forgets “the kind” or “the type” of man that he saw.

God’s Word reveals the type or kind of person you are; what “species” of being you are. That’s extraordinary. For example, in 2 Peter 1:4, the mirror—the Word—shows that you’re a partaker of the divine nature; an associate of the God-kind.

In Ephesians 1:22 the mirror shows that you’re seated together with Christ, and all things are under your feet. You have dominion over all things. You reign victoriously over Satan, sickness, failure and death. Hallelujah! This is who you are according to God’s Word; live accordingly. Praise God!

PRAYER

Dear Father, your Word is the reflection of your immense glory, greatness, excellence and success deposited in my spirit. I’m the expression of your righteousness and the unveiling of your goodness to the world. I’m the effulgence of your glory, perfections, beauty, and grace, and conscious of your supernatural life in me. My life is indeed an unveiling of the virtues and perfections of divinity. Hallelujah!

You’re His Glory

“우리 주 예수 그리스도의 하나님, 영광의 아버지께서 지혜와 계시의 영을 너희에게 주사 하나님을 알게 하시고”(엡 1:17)

에베소 교회를 위한 바울의 아름다운 기도에서 그는 하늘에 계신 우리 아버지를 “영광의 아버지”라고 불렀습니다. 이는 주목할 부분입니다. 바울은 하나님을 “영광스러운 아버지”라고 하지 않고, 영광의 아버지라고 했습니다. 이것은 당신이 누구인지 말해줍니다. 당신이 바로 “영광”인 것입니다! 영광이 바로 당신의 이름입니다.

만일 어떤 사람이 요한의 아버지라 불렸다면, 그에게는 요한이라는 아들이 있다는 뜻입니다. 만약 하나님이 영광의 아버지라고 불리셨다면, 그리고 당신이 그분의 아들이라면(요일 3:1), 당신의 이름이 바로 “영광”입니다! 당신은 아마 이렇게 얘기할 수도 있습니다. “크리스 목사님, 그것은 그저 추측일 뿐입니다.” 아닙니다! 예수님이 뭐라고 불리셨습니까?

히브리서 1:3은 예수님이 하나님의 영광의 광채시요, 그 본체의 형상이시라고 말합니다. 예수님은 하나님의 영광의 빛입니다. 그분은 하나님의 영광의 나타남입니다. 예수님은 하나님의 영광이 육신에 있는 형상이셨습니다. 그리고 요한일서 4:17에서 예수님께서 그러하시듯 우리도 이 세상에서 그러하다고 말합니다.

우리를 하나님의 영광으로 삼으신 것은 그분께서 행하신 일 중 하나입니다. 히브리서 2:10은 이렇게 말합니다. “그러므로 만물이 그를 위하고 또한 그로 말미암은 이가 많은 아들들을 이끌어 영광에 들어가게 하시는 일에…” 할렐루야!

그런 다음 고린도후서 3:18(확대번역본)은 우리에게 놀라운 사실을 알려줍니다. “우리가 다 수건을 벗은 얼굴로 [하나님의 말씀 안에서] 거울을 보는 것 같이 주의 영광을 보매 그와 같은 형상으로 변화하여 영광에서 영광에 이르니…” 이 구절에서 하나님의 말씀이 거울이라고 말한 점을 주목하십시오. 야고보 또한 야고보서 1:23에서 동일하게 말씀을 거울이라 이야기합니다.

하지만 가장 아름다운 내용은 다음과 같습니다. 당신이 거울을 보면 자신의 모습이 보입니다. 이제 고린도후서 3:18은 당신이 하나님의 거울을 보면 하나님의 영광을 본다고 말합니다. 당신이 하나님의 영광이 아니라면 어떻게 거울에서 하나님의 영광을 볼 수 있겠습니까? 모든 거울은 그 앞에 놓인 것을 반사하여 보여줍니다. 당신이 하나님의 거울, 곧 하나님의 말씀을 보았을 때, 반사되어 보이는 것이 하나님의 영광이라면, 바로 당신은 하나님의 영광입니다. 하나님을 찬양합니다!

고백

하나님의 생명과 영광이 내 안에서, 나를 통해 나타납니다. 나는 주님의 선하심, 인자하심, 아름다움, 은혜로 내 세상을 물들이고 변화시킵니다. 말씀의 거울을 볼 때 보이는 영광이 진정한 나입니다. 할렐루야.

YOU’RE HIS GLORY

“That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him”(Ephesians 1:17).

In his beautiful prayer for the Ephesian Church, the Apostle Paul referred to our heavenly Father as the “Father of glory.” That’s quite instructive. He isn’t saying that God is a “glorious Father,” but that He’s the Father of Glory. It tells you who you are; you are “Glory!” That’s your Name.

If a man is called the father of John, then it means he has a son called John. If God is the Father of Glory, and you’re His son (1 John 3:1), then your name is “Glory!” You might say, “Pastor Chris, that’s just a conjecture”; no! What is Jesus called?

Hebrews 1:3 reveals says He’s the brightness of God’s glory, and the express image of his person. Jesus is the effulgence of God’s glory; He’s the manifestation of the glory of God. Jesus is the glory of God encapsulated in a body. And the Bible says in 1 John 4:17 that as He is, so are we in this world.

Making us His glory is part of what He came to do. Hebrews 2:10 says, “For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory…” Hallelujah!

Then 2 Corinthians 3:18 (AMPC) tells us something remarkable. It says, “And all of us, as with unveiled face, [because we] continued to behold [in the Word of God] as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are constantly being transfigured into His very own image in ever increasing splendour….” Observe that it says the Word of God is a mirror, just as James also tells us in James 1:23.

But here’s the most beautiful part: When you look in a mirror, you’d see yourself. Now, 2 Corinthians 3:18 says when you look in the mirror of God, you see the glory of God. How can you see the glory of God in the mirror, if you are not the glory of God? Every good mirror reflects or projects the image before it. If your reflection is called the glory of God, when you look into the mirror of God (the Word of God), then you are the glory of God. Praise God!

CONFESSION

The life and glory of God are manifested in, and through me. I saturate and impact my world with the Lord’s goodness, kindness, beauty and grace. The glory that I see when I look into the mirror–the Word–is who I am. Hallelujah.

하나님의 영적 구름

His Spiritual Cloud

“낮에는 구름 기둥으로 인도하시고 밤에는 불 기둥으로 그들이 행할 길을 그들에게 비추셨사오며”(느 9:12)

오늘의 본문 구절은 이스라엘 자손이 애굽에서 나올 때 있었던 일을 떠올리게 합니다. 성경은 출애굽기 13:21-22에서 이스라엘 자손들이 40년 동안 광야 가운데서 그들만의 대기권을 가지고 있었다고 알려줍니다.

느헤미야 또한 이스라엘 자손이 살았던 이 축복의 대기권을 언급했습니다. 느헤미야 9:20-21(확대번역본)은 말합니다. “…사십 년 동안… 부족함이 없게 하시므로 그 옷이 해어지지 아니하였고 발이 부르트지 아니하였사오며.”

주님은 변하지 않으셨습니다. 아버지의 사랑 가득한 친절은 이스라엘 자손에게서 끝나지 않았습니다. 오늘날 우리에게는 더 좋은 것이 있습니다. 당신이 거듭났을 때 하나님의 영광 안으로 태어났습니다. 즉, 하나님의 영적 구름 안에서 태어난 것입니다. 바로 성령님입니다. 당신은 그분의 임재 안에서 살며, 기쁨과 축복과 영광의 신성한 분위기 속에서 살고 있습니다. 당신은 어떤 상황에도 관계없이 성령의 임재 안에서 완전히 채워지고 공급받고 있습니다. 당신은 완전한 안식 가운데 있습니다.

이 축복의 대기권 밖에 사는 사람들은 실망, 분노, 초조함, 불편함을 마주하고 있는 사람들입니다. 그들은 어떤 일도 제대로 진행되지 않는 것 같아서 항상 마음이 불안합니다.

그러나 당신이 태어난 초자연적인 환경인 그리스도 안에서 언제나 기쁨과 만족이 넘쳐납니다. 당신 안에서, 당신과 함께 나타나는 그분의 임재는 이 혼란한 세상 가운데 놓인 사랑의 오아시스입니다. 이 사실을 항상 기억하십시오. 어디에나 혼돈이나 무정부 상태가 있을 수 있지만, 그리스도 안에서 당신은 평안하며 안전합니다. 할렐루야!

고백

HIS SPIRITUAL CLOUD

“Moreover thou leddest them in the day by a cloudy pillar; and in the night by a pillar of fire, to give them light in the way wherein they should go”(Nehemiah 9:12).

The opening verse brings to mind what happened to the children of Israel as they journeyed out of Egypt. The Bible tells us in Exodus 13:21-22, that they carried their own atmosphere through the wilderness for forty years.

Nehemiah also referenced this atmosphere of bliss in which the children of Israel lived in. Nehemiah 9:20-21 (AMPC) says, “…Forty years You sustained them in the wilderness; they lacked nothing, their clothes did not wear out, and their feet did not swell.”

The Lord hasn’t changed. The Father’s loving-kindness didn’t end with the children of Israel; it’s even better with us today. When you were born again, you were born into God’s glory; born into God’s Spiritual cloud; that’s the Holy Spirit. You live in His presence, in a divine atmosphere of joy, bliss and glory, where you’re sustained and nurtured by Him, absolutely independent of circumstances! You’re fully at rest.

Those who live outside this atmosphere of bliss are the ones who face disappointments, anger, frustration, and discomfort; always agitated within because nothing seems to be going on right.

But in Christ, which is the supernatural environment you were born into, your joy and satisfaction overflows. His presence in, with, and about you makes you an oasis of love in a troubled world. Be mindful of this always. There could be chaos or anarchy everywhere, but in Him you’re at peace and in safety. Hallelujah!

PRAYER

Dear Father, your presence in, with, and about me makes me an oasis of love and grace in a troubled world. I’m born from above; I live the heavenly life here on earth, nurtured by your divine love, and enwrapped in your kindness, glory, and righteousness. Hallelujah!

하나님을 찬양하는 것은 우리의 가장 중요한 부르심입니다

Praising Him – Our Primary Calling

“찬송하라 하나님을 찬송하라 찬송하라 우리 왕을 찬송하라 하나님은 온 땅의 왕이심이라 지혜의 시로 찬송할지어다”(시 47:6-7)

말씀은 하나님과 우리의 관계에 대한 충분한 정보를 제공하며, 어떻게 그분께서 각각 하나님, 주님, 그리고 우리 아버지로서 역할을 정의하시는지에 대해 잘 알려 줍니다. 각 역할에서 하나님은 자신을 다르게 표현하십니다. 그분은 또한 우리가 각자의 역할을 알기를 원하십니다. 곧 우리가 그분을 위해, 그분의 왕국을 위해, 서로를 위해, 세상을 위해 우리가 수행하는 역할을 알기를 원하시는 것입니다.

하지만 우리가 맡은 그 모든 역할에서, 하나님은 우리가 그분을 찬양하기를 기대하십니다. 따라서 우리가 하나님의 백성으로서 하나가 되어 모이는 주된 이유는 하나님께 찬양을 드리기 위함입니다. 오랫동안 찬양이 교회 안에서의 우선순위가 아니었던 시절이 있었지만, 지금의 변화에 하나님께 감사드립니다!

성령님의 인도를 따라 전 세계에 있는 하나님의 백성들은 자신의 역할을 하나님께 찬양의 제사를 드리는 제사장으로 잘 인식하고 있습니다. 이것이 우리의 가장 중요한 부르심입니다! 베드로전서 2:9은 말합니다. “그러나 너희는 택하신 족속이요 왕 같은 제사장들이요 거룩한 나라요 그의 소유가 된 백성이니 이는 너희를 어두운 데서 불러 내어 그의 기이한 빛에 들어가게 하신 이의 아름다운 덕을 선포하게 하려 하심이라.”

우리가 자신의 부르심을 따라 주님을 찬양하며, 그분의 위대하심을 높이고, 그분의 거룩한 이름을 경배할 때, 바울이 로마서 15:29에서 말한 것처럼 그리스도의 복음의 충만한 축복을 가장 확실하게 누리게 될 것입니다. 이것이 우리를 향한 하나님의 뜻입니다.

지금이라도 주님을 찬양하기 시작하십시오! 찬양에는 반드시 내용이 있어야 합니다. 그러므로 주님께 찬양과 감사의 말을 드리십시오. 그분의 위대하심과 은혜와 영광에 대한 고백을 선포하십시오. 주님과 같은 분이 없고, 하나님의 왕국은 영원한 왕국이며, 그분의 권세가 세세토록 이어질 것이라고 선언하십시오. 할렐루야!

기도

사랑하는 하늘에 계신 아버지, 당신은 위대하시며 위대한 찬양을 받기 합당하신 분입니다. 주님과 같은 분이 없기 때문입니다. 하나님의 왕국은 영원하고, 당신의 통치는 영원합니다! 당신은 홀로 참되고 지혜로우신 하나님이십니다. 모든 영광과 존귀와 위엄과 통치와 찬송이 영원히 하나님께 있습니다. 아멘.

PRAISING HIM—OUR PRIMARY CALLING

“Sing praises to God, sing praises: sing praises unto our King, sing praises. For God is the King of all the earth: sing ye praises with understanding.”(Psalm 47:6-7).

The scriptures give us more than enough information on God’s relationship with us and how He defines His role as God, as Lord, and as our Father. In each of these roles, He expresses Himself differently. He also wants us to know our role: the various roles we play with respect to Him, His Kingdom, one another, and the world.

However, in every single role that we play, He expects us to praise Him. Thus, the primary reason we come together as God’s people is to offer praises to God. For a long time, this seemed to have taken a back seat in the Church but thank God there’s been a change!

God’s people all over the world, by the Spirit, are recognizing their role as priests to offer sacrifices of praise to God. That’s our primary calling! He said in 1 Peter 2:9, “But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light” (1 Peter 2:9).

When we live according to our calling to offer praise to the Lord—extolling His greatness and worshipping His holy Name—we will most certainly enjoy the fullness of the blessings of the Gospel of Christ as Paul puts it in Romans 15:29. It’s God’s will for us.

Even now, begin to praise the Lord! Remember, praise must have content; therefore, offer to Lord words of praise and thanksgiving; make confessions of His greatness, grace and glory. Declare that there’s none like Him, for His Kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and his dominion endures from generation to generation. Hallelujah!

PRAYER

Dear heavenly Father, you’re great and greatly to be praised, for there’s none like you; your Kingdom is forever, and your reign is everlasting! You’re the only true and wise God. To you be all glory, honour, majesty, dominion and praise, forever and ever. Amen.

주야로 말씀을 묵상하십시오

Meditate On The Word Day And Night

“이 율법책을 네 입에서 떠나지 말게 하며 주야로 그것을 묵상하여 그 안에 기록된 대로 다 지켜 행하라 그리하면 네 길이 평탄하게 될 것이며 네가 형통하리라”(수 1:8)

오늘의 본문 구절에서 주목하길 바라는 단어가 있습니다. 그것은 “지키다(Observe)”라는 단어입니다. 많은 성경 학자들이 이 단어를 해석하는데 어려움을 겪었고, 수년간 올바른 해석을 위해 씨름했습니다. 그들은 이 단어를 “어떻게 하는지 이해하여”라는 의미로 해석했습니다. 하지만 정확한 해석은 아닙니다.

“지키다”라는 단어가 번역된 히브리어 단어는 “샤마르(shamar)”입니다. 이 단어는 그대로 행하기 위해 지켜본다는 뜻입니다. 즉, 당신이 똑같이 행동하기 위해 “따라하거나”, “듣거나”, 보는 것입니다! 만약 당신이 주님께서 여호수아에게 말씀하신 대로 말씀을 묵상한다면, 말씀이 말하는 대로 행하며 성공할 수 있을 것입니다.

바울은 빌립보서 2:13에서 똑같은 말씀을 전합니다. “너희 안에서 행하시는 이는 하나님이시니 자기의 기쁘신 뜻을 위하여 너희에게 소원을 두고 행하게 하시나니.” 이는 여호수아를 향한 주님의 말씀인 오늘의 본문 구절과 비슷합니다. 성공하고, 번영하며, 인생의 여러가지 일들을 지혜롭게 다루고 싶습니까? 다른 사람들이 성공하고 번영하도록 돕기 원하십니까? 주야로 말씀을 묵상하십시오.

말씀 묵상은 하나님께서 당신이 하기를 원하시는 일을 할 수 있는 이해력, 동기 및 영감을 줄 것입니다. 말씀 묵상을 날마다 적어도 30분 동안 하십시오. 시편 1:1-3은 우리에게 말씀 묵상이 삶에서 생산해낼 넘치는 축복에 대해 설명합니다. 당신은 하나님의 계획대로 시냇가에 심은 나무가 철을 따라 열매를 맺으며 그 잎사귀가 마르지 않는 것 같을 것이며, 하는 모든 일에서 다 형통할 것입니다. 할렐루야!

고백

MEDITATE ON THE WORD DAY AND NIGHT

“This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success”(Joshua 1:8).

There’s a word I’ll like you to notice in the opening text. It’s the word, “Observe.” Many Bible scholars have had difficulty interpreting it; they’ve wrestled for years with that terminology. To them, it means “that you may understand how to do”; but that’s not it.

The Hebrew word translated observe is “shâmar”; it means to watch for the purpose of doing. It’s like looking out for something so you can do; “copying to do” or “hearing to do”! Following what the Lord told Joshua, if you’d meditate on the Word as you should, you’d be propelled to do what the Word says.

Paul alludes to this in Philippians 2:13 when he said, “For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.” This is akin to what the Lord said to Joshua in the theme verse. Do you want to be successful, prosperous, and deal wisely in the affairs of life? Do you want to be able to help other people become successful and prosperous? Meditate on the Word, day and night.

Meditating on the Word will give you an understanding, a motivation, and an inspiration to do what God wants you to do. Practice this for at least half an hour every day. Psalm 1:1-3 further tells us the overwhelming blessings this will produce in your life: you’ll be standing firm like a flourishing tree planted by God’s design, deeply rooted by the brooks of bliss, bearing fruit in every season of life; never dry, never fainting, but ever blessed and unendingly prosperous. Hallelujah!

CONFESSION

As I meditate on the Word, the forces of success, prosperity and divine health are activated in my life; I’m transformed from glory to glory through the propelling power of the Word! I make progress with giant strides, and my success is evident to all as I deal wisely in the affairs of life, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Banish Anger

“노를 품는 자와 사귀지 말며 울분한 자와 동행하지 말지니”(잠 22:24)

영의 아름다움을 손상시킬 수 있는 것들이 많이 있습니다. 그 중 하나는 분노입니다. 오늘의 본문 구절은 이렇게 말합니다. “화내는 사람들과 어울리지 말고, 성미 급한자들과 함께 다니지 마라”(메세지성경). 다시 말해, 그런 사람들을 피하라는 뜻입니다. 하나님께서 당신에게 무엇이나 누군가를 피하라고 하셨다면, 이를 진지하게 받아들여야 합니다.

성경에는 분노에 대해 우리를 훈계하는 구절이 가득합니다. 시편 37:8 (CEV)에서 성경은 말합니다. “분을 그치고 노를 버리며 불평하지 말라 오히려 악을 만들 뿐이라” 바울은 에베소서 4:31(확대번역본)에서 경고합니다. “너희는 모든 악독과 노함(격정, 폭력, 성질)과 분냄(분노, 혐오) … 을 모든 악의와 함께 버리고.”

또한 바울은 골로새서 3:8에서 우리에게 말합니다. “이제는 너희가 이 모든 것을 벗어 버리라 곧 분함과 노여움과 악의와 비방과 너희 입의 부끄러운 말이라.” 당신의 삶에서 분노를 지워버리십시오.

BANISH ANGER

“Make no friendship with an angry man; and with a furious man thou shalt not go”(Proverbs 22:24).

There’re many things that could deface one’s beauty in the spirit; one of them is anger. Our opening verse says, “Don’t hang out with angry people; don’t keep company with hotheads” (MSG). In other words, avoid them. When God tells you to avoid something or someone, you better take it seriously.

You might say, “I only get angry once in a while”; no! Anger is a quick destroyer; avoid it! Don’t even try to “tame” it; banish it. If you’ve been termed or described as someone who’s hotheaded and quick to anger, get before the Lord in prayer and ask the Holy Spirit to help you deal with anger. Then give yourself to the Word in meditation.

Don’t try to suppress anger; get rid of it. You may say to me, “Pastor Chris; I’ve always had anger in me since I was much younger, and by following God all through the years, I’ve been able to suppress my anger with the Word.” That’s wonderful, but God doesn’t want you at that level. It’s not a matter of suppressing the anger with the Word, it’s a matter of not even allowing anger any space in your life.

Harbouring anger has resulted in some deadly ailments and unexplainable challenges in the health of many people. But I tell you, if they’d eschew anger, they’ll be healthy. The Bible says anger dwells in the bosom of fools (Ecclesiastes 7:9). And in Psalm 107:17, who does the Bible say are afflicted? Fools! “Fools because of their transgression, and because of their iniquities, are afflicted.”

The scriptures are replete with verses that admonish us against anger. In Psalm 37:8 (CEV), the Bible says, “Don’t be angry or furious. Anger can lead to sin.” Paul, in Ephesians 4:31 (AMPC) warns, “Let all bitterness and indignation and wrath (passion, rage, bad temper) and resentment (anger, animosity)…be banished from you…”

In Colossians 3:8, he also tells us, “But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth.” Banish anger from your life.

PRAYER

Dear Father, I eschew and purge from my heart all elements of anger, bitterness, rage or fury; anger has no place in me. I delight myself in your Word and to do your will always. The Word is in my heart, causing me to walk in righteousness and fulfil my destiny in you. I live by your Word, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

말씀과 성령

The Word And The Spirit

“생명을 주시는 이는 성령이시니, 자연적인 차원의 것은 무익하니라. 내가 너희에게 이른 말이 영이요 생명이라…”(요 6:63, 더패션성경)

사도행전 19:20은 에베소에 대해 “이와 같이 주의 말씀이 힘이 있어 흥왕하여 세력을 얻으니라”라고 전해줍니다. 전혀 놀라운 일이 아닙니다. 요한계시록 2:2-3을 공부해보면, 사도 요한이 신성한 계시로 에베소 교회의 상황을 밝혔기 때문입니다. 에베소 교회는 매우 영적인 교회였습니다.

그러나 에베소서 3:14-16에서 사도 바울은 그들을 위해 기도하며 이렇게 말합니다. “이러므로 내가 하늘과 땅에 있는 각 족속에게 이름을 주신 아버지 앞에 무릎을 꿇고 비노니 그의 영광의 풍성함을 따라 그의 성령으로 말미암아 너희 속사람을 능력으로 강건하게 하시오며.”

바울은 “내가 너희를 위해 하나님께서 그분의 영광의 풍성함을 따라 능력, 곧 기적을 일으키는 힘으로 너희를 강건케 해주시기를 기도한다.”고 말하고 있습니다. 그는 우리 삶 가운데서 하나님의 말씀이 나타남과 우리 그리스도인의 성장에 있어 성령의 역사의 중요성을 아는 것에 대해 강조합니다.

또 다른 번역은 당신의 속사람이 성령에 의해 탁월함으로 강화된다고 말하며, 하나님의 말씀에서 배우는 내용이 머리에만 남는 것이 아니라 성령님에 의해 삶 가운데 역사하게 될 것이라고 말합니다. 바울은 하나님의 말씀과 성령의 역사의 힘을 이야기하며, 이 두 가지가 하나님께서 당신의 신앙생활이 효과적이고 분명하게 되도록 당신의 삶을 향해 가지고 계신 온전하신 뜻임을 말하고 있습니다.

THE WORD AND THE SPIRIT

“The Holy Spirit is the one who gives life, that which is of the natural realm is of no help. The words I speak to you are Spirit and life…”(John 6:63 TPT).

Acts 19:20 tells us that in the city of Ephesus, “So mightily grew the word of God and prevailed.” This is no surprise at all because when you study Revelation 2:2-3, the Apostle John, by divine revelation, unveiled the state of the Ephesian church. It was a very spiritual church.

However, in Ephesians 3:14-15, the Apostle Paul prays for them and says, “For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man.”

He says, “I am praying for you that God would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened (invigorated) with might—miracle-working ability. He’s emphasizing the importance of giving recognition to the working of God’s Word in our lives and the working of the Holy Spirit in our Christian growth.

Another version says to be strengthened with excellence by the Holy Spirit in your inner man; so that what you learn of God’s Word will not just be in your head but working by the Holy Spirit in your life. He’s talking about the power of God’s Word and the Holy Spirit working out that which is the perfect will of God in your life so that your Christianity will be effective and evincive.

PRAYER

Dear Father, my words are spoken forth in demonstration of the Spirit and power. I utter words that are consistent with your will, plans and purposes continually, knowing that my words are filled with power to produce results for your glory. Amen.

마음에서부터 시작됩니다

It Begins With The Mind

“끝으로 내 친구 여러분, 선하고 칭찬받을 만한 것들, 곧 참되고 고상하고 옳고 순수하고 사랑스럽고 존귀한 것들로 여러분의 마음을 채우십시오”(빌 4:8, GNB)

성경은 말합니다. “주께서 심지가 견고한 자를 평강하고 평강하도록 지키시리니 이는 그가 주를 신뢰함이니이다”(사 26:3). 여기서 “평강”으로 번역된 히브리어 단어는 “샬롬”입니다. 이 단어는 조용하다는 의미 뿐만 아니라 건강, 번영, 쉼을 의미하기도 합니다. 즉, 샬롬은 번영, 건강, 힘, 구원이 있는 하나님의 안식을 의미합니다!

그러나 이러한 것들은 본질적으로 당신의 마음에 가득한 것들과 그것들의 가치에 달려 있습니다. 당신의 마음이 주님과 그분의 말씀에 머무를 때, 완전한 번영, 건강, 휴식 및 능력을 경험할 것입니다. 아주 간단합니다.

당신의 마음은 하나님께 매우 중요합니다. 그곳이 그분께서 일하시는 곳입니다. 하나님이 당신의 마음을 사로잡으실 수 있다면, 당신은 그분이 원하시는 모든 것이 될 수 있습니다. 당신이 원하는 만큼 건강하고, 번영하며, 성공할 수 있습니다. 그렇기 때문에 이 모든 것은 마음으로부터 시작됩니다. 당신의 마음이 중요한 이유는 무엇입니까? 그것은 하나님께서 마음을 당신의 변화를 만들어 낼 수 있는 도구로 지으셨기 때문입니다.

성경은 말합니다. “너희는 이 세대를 본받지 말고 오직 마음을 새롭게 함으로 변화를 받아 하나님의 선하시고 기뻐하시고 온전하신 뜻이 무엇인지 분별하도록 하라”(롬 12:2). 당신의 마음이 말씀에 의해 다스려지고 통제될 때, 당신의 성취에는 어떠한 한계도 없고, 승리의 고속도로를 타고 당신이 올라갈 수 있는 높이는 누구도 제한할 수 없습니다.

말씀 위에 당신의 마음을 세운다면 가능성은 무궁무진합니다. 그러므로 항상 말씀의 아름다운 실재에 마음을 고정하십시오. 이것이 곧 당신의 인생을 위한 이상적인 삶의 틀과 체계를 만들고 하나님께서 당신에게 주신 가장 특별한 삶과 축복을 누리는 효과적인 방법입니다.

IT BEGINS WITH THE MIND

“In conclusion, my friends, fill your minds with those things that are good and that deserve praise: things that are true, noble, right, pure, lovely, and honorable”(Philippians 4:8 GNB).

The Bible says, “Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee” (Isaiah 26:3). The Hebrew word translated “peace” is “Shalom”; it doesn’t just mean peace in terms of quietness, it also stands for health, prosperity and rest. It refers to the rest of God with prosperity, health, strength and salvation!

However, these things are essentially determined by the content and quality of your mind. When your mind is stayed on the Lord and His Word, you’ll experience perfect prosperity, health, rest and strength. It’s that simple.

Your mind is very important to God. That’s where He seeks to work. If He can get a hold of your mind, you can be everything He wants you to be. You can become as healthy, prosperous and successful as you ever want to be. So, it begins with the mind. Why is your mind so important? It’s because God has fashioned the mind as the instrument for your transformation.

The Bible says, “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God” (Romans 12:2). There’re no limits to what you can achieve, and absolutely no restrictions to how high you can propel yourself in the highway of victory when your mind is governed and regulated by the Word.

With your mind established on the Word, the possibilities are endless. So always fix your mind on the beautiful realities of the Word. It’s an effective way to create the ideal framework and system for your life and make the most of the unique life and blessings God has given you.

PRAYER

Dear Father, my mind is fixed on your Word and the transcendent realities of the Kingdom. Therefore, I walk in supernatural peace, with prosperity, health, strength and salvation. My mind is inundated with thoughts of progress and possibilities, and I experience higher levels of glory and victory, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Give With The Right Mentality

“더러는 좋은 땅에 떨어지매 자라 무성하여 결실하였으니 삼십 배나 육십 배나 백 배가 되었느니라 하시고”(막 4:8)

하나님의 말씀에서 재정의 지속적인 증가를 보장하는 심오한 원리는 주는 원리입니다. 주는 일은 당신이 받을 수 있는 통로를 마련하는 일입니다. 먼저 주는 것 없이 받을 수 없기 때문입니다.

슬프게도 많은 사람들이 결핍이나 피해의 사고방식을 가지고 하나님께 드립니다. 그것은 지혜롭지 못한 행동입니다. 그러한 사고방식은 받을 수 있는 기적이 나타나는 것을 막습니다. 하나님 왕국에서 주는 자의 사고방식은 다릅니다. 하나님께 드릴 때 약속의 말씀에 더욱 집중하십시오.

예수님께서 좋은 땅에 씨를 뿌리는 자에 대해 하신 말씀을 기억하십시오. 예수님은 그것이 자라 무성하여 삼십 배, 육십 배, 백 배의 결실을 하였다고 말합니다(막 4:8). 따라서 당신은 베푸는 것의 30배의 수익, 60배의 수익 또는 100배의 수익을 얻을 수 있는 것입니다.

GIVE WITH THE RIGHT MENTALITY

“And other fell on good ground, and did yield fruit that sprang up and increased; and brought forth, some thirty, and some sixty, and some an hundred”(Mark 4:8).

One of the most profound principles in the Word of God that guarantees a continuous increase in finances is the principle of giving. Your giving is a channel to facilitate your receiving, for there can be no receiving without first giving.

Sadly, a lot of people give to God with the mentality of lack or loss. No; that’s not wise. Such a mentality stops the miracle of receiving from taking place. Kingdom consciousness of giving is different. When you give to God, be more conscious of the promise on your giving.

Remember what Jesus said about the sower who sowed his seeds on good ground. He said it yielded fruits that sprang up and increased and brought forth thirty, sixty, and an hundred fold harvest (Mark 4:8). So, you could have a thirtyfold return, a sixtyfold return, or a hundredfold return on your giving.

With the right mentality, you can set in motion all the miracle power of God to cause a thirtyfold, a sixtyfold, or a hundredfold return on what you’ve given! Train yourself to become positive with God in your giving. When next you give an offering or a seed to God, do it with the mentality of someone who is in the Kingdom and you’ll have amazing testimonies.

PRAYER

Dear Father, thank you for the mighty harvests of blessings and miracles that I receive as I give for the propagation of the Gospel and expansion of your Kingdom. Thank you, Lord, for you’ve made all grace available to me, to have all sufficiency in all things, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

진리의 수호자

Custodians Of Truth

“너희는 성문들을 열고 진리를 지키는 의로운 민족이 들어오게 할지어다”(사 26:2, 한글킹제임스)

저는 여러분이 한 민족이 하나님의 문에 들어갈 수 있는 두 가지 자격을 보길 바랍니다. 첫 번째는 의입니다. 두 번째는 그 민족이 진리를 소유하고 행해야 한다는 것입니다. 진리를 지키고 수호하는 이 민족은 누구입니까?

하나님의 말씀은 진리이며, 하나님의 진리는 그리스도 예수 안에서 우리에게 주어졌습니다. 그러므로 그리스도의 교회가 진리를 지키는 민족인 것입니다. 바울은 디모데에게 쓴 디모데전서 3:15에서 하나님의 집, 곧 살아 계신 하나님의 교회를 진리의 기둥과 터라고 불렀습니다.

우리는 진리의 수호자인 교회에 속해 있습니다. 교회는 의로운 나라입니다. 우리는 참된 의와 거룩함 안에 있는 하나님과 같습니다(엡 4:24).

성경은 말씀합니다. “하나님이 죄를 알지도 못하신 이를 우리를 대신하여 죄로 삼으신 것은 우리로 하여금 그 안에서 하나님의 의가 되게 하려 하심이라”(고후 5:21). 예수님을 주님과 구세주로 영접한 모든 사람은 의인이 되었습니다!

에베소서 4:24(확대번역본)에서 바울은 우리가 참된 의와 거룩함으로 창조되었음을 강조합니다. “하나님을 따라 [하나님과 같이] 의와 진리의 거룩함으로 지으심을 받은 새 사람(완전히 새로 지어진 사람)을 입으라.” 당신이 만약 죄의식을 가지고 살고 있다면, 자신이 의로운 줄도 모를 것입니다. 하지만 그분의 문은 의인들에게 열려 있으며 그 의인들은 바로 교회입니다! 얼마나 큰 축복인지요!

베드로는 그의 첫 번째 서신에서 우리를 거룩한 나라라고 부르며 이 사실을 확정합니다. “그러나 너희는 선택 받은 민족이요 왕 같은 제사장이며, 구별되어 헌신된 나라요, [하나님께서] 친히 사신 특별한 백성이니, 이는 너희를 어두움에서 불러내어 그의 놀라운 빛으로 들어가게 하신 분의 경이로운 행위를 내세우고 그분의 덕과 완벽함을 내보이게 하려 하심이라”(벧전 2:9, 확대번역본).

우리는 의 가운데서 태어나서, 의의 열매를 맺으며, 의 안에서 그분의 진리를 선포하는 특별한 민족입니다.

기도

의로우신 아버지, 당신의 평강과 번영이 세계 열방을 다스리시며, 당신의 교회인 우리는 온 세상에 당신의 진리와 의를 선포합니다. 우리는 전세계에 퍼져 있는 속임수와 두려움으로 만든 사탄의 전략의 구조와 형태와 계획을 모두 파괴시킵니다. 그리고 아버지의 뜻이 하늘에서 이루어진 것 같이 이 땅에서도 이루어지라 선포합니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

CUSTODIANS OF TRUTH

“Open ye the gates, that the righteous nation which keepeth the truth may enter in”(Isaiah 26:2).

I’ll like you to observe two things that qualify a nation to come into the gates of God. The first is righteousness. The second is that the nation must have and walk in the truth. What nation is this custodian and observer of the truth?

God’s Word is truth, and His Truth was given to us in Christ Jesus. Thus the Church of Christ is this nation that keeps the truth. Paul, writing to Timothy in 1 Timothy 3:15 called the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.

We belong in the Church which is the custodian of the truth. The Church is a righteous nation. We’re God-like in true righteousness and holiness (Ephesians 4:24).

The Bible says, “For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him” (2 Corinthians 5:21). Everyone who has accepted Jesus as Lord and Saviour has been made righteous!

In Ephesians 4:24 AMPC, Paul highlights that we were created in true righteousness and holiness: “And put on the new nature (the regenerate self) created in God’s image, [Godlike] in true righteousness and holiness.” If you walk with sin consciousness, you wouldn’t know that you’re righteous. But His gate is opened to the righteous ones—the Church! What a blessing!

Peter corroborates this in his first epistle when he called us a holy nation: “But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a dedicated nation, [God’s] own purchased, special people, that you may set forth the wonderful deeds and display the virtues and perfections of Him Who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light” (1 Peter 2:9 AMPC).

We’re a peculiar nation, born in righteousness, producing fruits of righteousness, and proclaiming His truth in righteousness.

PRAYER

Righteous Father, your peace and prosperity reign in the nations of the world, as we, your Church, proclaim your truth and righteousness around the world. We overturn the structures, systems and schemes of Satanic propagation of deception and fear across the nations, and we declare that your will be done in all the earth, as it is in heaven, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
