당신은 하나님께 받아들여졌습니다.

You’re Accepted Of Him

“그분 안에서 우리를 택하셨으며 자신의 크게 기뻐하시는 뜻에 따라 우리를 예정하사 예수 그리스도를 통해 자신의 아이로 입양하심으로써 … 그 사랑하시는 자 안에서 우리를 받아 주셨으니”(엡 1:4-6, 한글킹제임스)

어떤 사람들은 자신의 선한 행실을 보고 하나님께서 그들을 받아 주실 것이라는 희망으로 삶을 살아갑니다. 그러나 우리의 선한 행실은 하나님 앞에 설 수 있는 능력을 주기에 충분하지 않습니다. 어떤 상황을 겪고 난 후, 이런 생각을 할 수도 있을 것입니다. “내 삶을 돌아보면 어떤 죄도 짓지 않았는데 어째서 내가 이런 일을 겪어야 하는가?”

성경은 말합니다. “너희는 그 은혜에 의하여 믿음으로 말미암아 구원을 받았으니 이것은 너희에게서 난 것이 아니요 하나님의 선물이라 행위에서 난 것이 아니니 이는 누구든지 자랑하지 못하게 함이라”(엡 2:8-9). 또한 갈라디아서 2:16은 말합니다. “율법의 행위로써는 의롭다 함을 얻을 육체가 없느니라.”

하나님께 받아들여지기 위해 의롭게 살아가며 하나님을 기쁘시게 하는 것은 불필요한 노력입니다. 이미 성령께서 말씀을 통해 “그 사랑하시는 자 안에서 우리를 받아주셨으니”(엡 1:6, 한글킹제임스) 라고 선언하셨는데, 왜 당신이 그분께 받아들여지기 위해 애를 씁니까? 당신은 하나님 앞에서 받아들여지고 의롭다고 선포되었습니다. 이 진리를 받아들이고 이제 이 진리에 따라 그분을 기쁘시게 하는 삶을 사십시오.

하나님은 세상의 기초가 놓이기 전에 당신을 선택하셨고, 하나님의 사랑 가운데 그분 앞에서 거룩하고 책망할 것이 없고 그분의 임재에 받아들여지도록 미리 정하셨습니다. 이것이 바로 당신의 영 안에 있는 그분의 의가 당신을 위해 만들어내는 축복 중 하나입니다. 당신은 죄의식이나 열등감이나 정죄함이 없이 하나님 앞에 담대히 설 수 있습니다.

이제 당신은 거듭났으므로 하나님의 임재 안에 거하고 있습니다. 그리고 당신은 하나님이 원하시는 대로 그분을 섬길 수 있는 자유가 있습니다. 날마다 이 진리를 의식하지 않는다면 당신이 그리스도인으로서 살아가는 날들은 매일이 고군분투가 될 것입니다. 그렇게 살지 마십시오. 당신에게 기독교는 매일 경험하는 신성한 교제여야 합니다.

YOU’RE ACCEPTED OF HIM

“According as he hath chosen us in him…unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ…wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved”(Ephesians 1:4-6).

Some people live their lives in the hope that God will accept them on the basis of their good works. But our good works are not enough to give us a right standing with God. You may even be going through a situation and thinking, “When I look at my life, I can’t even find any sin, so why am I going through this?”

Well, the Bible says “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast” (Ephesians 2:8-9). Furthermore, Galatians 2:16 says, “By the works of the Law shall no flesh be justified.”!

The struggle to live right, to please God so as to be accepted by Him is unnecessary. Why should you work so hard, struggling to be accepted by Him when the Spirit already calls us through the Word, “accepted in the beloved” (Ephesians 1:6)? You’ve been accepted and declared righteous before God. Accept this truth and now live to please Him accordingly.

God chose you before the foundation of the world to be holy and without blame before Him in love, and He predestined you to be accepted in His presence. It’s part of what His righteousness in your spirit has produced for you; you can boldly stand in the presence of God without guilt, inferiority or condemnation. In Christ you have right standing before God. Hallelujah!

Now that you’re born again, you dwell in God’s presence, and you’re at liberty to serve Him as He desires. Until and unless this becomes your present-hour consciousness, your Christian walk will be a struggle. But it doesn’t have to be. Christianity for you should be an everyday experience of divine fellowship.

PRAYER

Dear heavenly Father, I thank you for your love, grace, and righteousness at work in me. Thank you for choosing me to be holy and without blame before you in love. I walk in wisdom today, fulfilling your good pleasure and producing works of righteousness, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Know And Walk In Truth

“진리를 알지니 진리가 너희를 자유롭게 하리라”(요 8:32)

진리를 알지 못하면 사람들은 거짓말을 믿게 됩니다. 그리고 결과적으로 인생에서 고통받게 됩니다. 하나님은 “내 백성이 지식이 없으므로 망하는도다”(호 4:6) 라고 말씀하셨습니다. 정말 와 닿는 말씀입니다. 이것이 바로 우리가 말씀의 실재를 통해 하나님의 백성들에게 그분의 말씀을 가르치는 이유입니다. 그들은 진리 안에서 행할 것이며 새로운 피조물의 실재 안에서 걷게 될 것입니다!

진리는 무엇이며 하나님은 당신을 어떻게 보고 계십니까? 진리는 실재입니다. 진리는 하나님의 말씀입니다. 요한복음 17:17에서 예수님은 아버지께 기도하시면서 “아버지의 말씀은 진리니이다”라고 말씀하셨습니다. 많은 사람들이 하나님의 말씀에 대한 무지로 인해 위험에 처해 있으며 패배, 슬픔, 우울함, 실패, 질병을 경험합니다.

하지만 하나님께 감사드립니다! 성경은 의인이 지식으로 구원을 얻을 것이라고 말합니다. 그리스도 안에서 당신이 누구인지, 그리스도 안에서 당신이 가지고 있는 것이 무엇인지에 대한 지식은 당신의 삶의 수준을 완전히 변화시킬 것입니다. 그리스도인으로서 당신은 완전히 다른 종족이라는 것을 이해하십시오. 성경은 말합니다. “그러나 너희는 택하신 족속이요…”(벧전 2:9). 여기서 “족속”이라는 말은 곧 “종족”이라는 뜻입니다. 당신은 질병, 어둠, 마귀의 어떤 것보다 우월한 특별한 종족입니다.

또한 당신은 썩지 않는 생명, 즉 승리, 성공, 탁월함, 큰 영광의 생명을 가지고 있습니다. 이것은 어떤 전염병이나 질병에도 감염될 수 없는 생명입니다. 당신은 중독되거나 파괴될 수 없습니다. 예수님은 이렇게 말씀하셨습니다. “믿는 자들에게는 이런 표적이 따르리니… 무슨 독을 마실지라도 해를 받지 아니하며…”(막 16:17-18)

당신 자신에 대한 이러한 진리들을 반드시 알아야 하며, 의식적으로 자주 선포해야 합니다. 당신은 신성한 본성에 참여한 자입니다. 당신 안에 있는 생명은 신성하며 그 생명은 당신 안에 거하시는 하나님의 영으로 유지됩니다. “예수를 죽은 자 가운데서 살리신 이의 영이 너희 안에 거하시면 그리스도 예수를 죽은 자 가운데서 살리신 이가 너희 안에 거하시는 그의 영으로 말미암아 너희 죽을 몸도 살리시리라”(롬 8:11). 이러한 의식을 가지고 진리들을 행하며 살아가십시오!

고백

예수님을 죽은 자 가운데서 살리신 성령님이 내 안에 거하십니다. 그러므로 나는 하나님의 능력으로 나의 영과 혼과 몸으로 활력을 얻습니다. 나는 이러한 진리 안에서 내 자신을 훈련하고 행합니다. 내 안에 신성한 생명이 있으므로 나는 아픔과 질병과 연약함을 이기고, 예수님 안에서 승리하며 살아갑니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

KNOW AND WALK IN TRUTH

“And ye shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free”(John 8:32).

When people don’t know the truth, they believe a lie, and as a result, they suffer in life. God said, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge” (Hosea 4:6). This is really touching; it’s one of the reasons we’re teaching God’s people His Word through this devotional so they’ll walk in truth, and in the realities of the new creation!

What is the truth and how does God see you? Truth is reality; truth is the Word of God. In John 17:17, Jesus said, in prayer to the Father, “thy Word is truth.” Many have their lives in jeopardy and experience defeat, sadness, gloom, failure and sickness because of their ignorance of God’s Word.

But thanks be unto God! The Bible says through knowledge shall the just be delivered; the knowledge of who you are in Christ, and your heritage in Him will transform the entire quality of your life. Understand that as a Christian, you’re a different breed. The Bible says, “But ye are a chosen generation…” (1 Peter 2:9). The word “generation” is the same word for “breed.” You’re a special breed, superior to sickness, disease and everything of darkness and the devil.

Also, you have an incorruptible life—a life of victory, success, excellence and great glory. It’s a life that can’t be infected by any plague or disease. You can’t be poisoned or destroyed. Jesus said, “And these signs shall follow them that believe…if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them…” (Mark 16:17-18).

You have to know, and consciously affirm these truths about yourself every so often. You’re a partaker of the divine nature. The life in you is divine and sustained by the Spirit of God who lives in you: “But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you” (Romans 8:11). Live with this consciousness and exercise yourself in these truths!

CONFESSION

The same Spirit that raised up Jesus from the dead dwells in me; therefore, I’m vitalized by the power of God—spirit, soul and body. I exercise myself in these truths and walk on in health. As a result of the divine life in me, I live triumphantly above sickness, disease and infirmities, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Focus On Your Assignment

“도둑이 오는 것은 도둑질하고 죽이고 멸망시키려는 것뿐이요 내가 온 것은 양으로 생명을 얻게 하고 더 풍성히 얻게 하려는 것이라”(요 10:10)

인생에서 신성한 목적을 발견하는 것의 아름다운 점은 당신이 계속 목적에 집중할 수 있게 해주는 것입니다. 목적이 당신의 삶을 정의하며, 초점과 방향을 제공합니다. 목적의 동의어는 “의도” 또는 “설계”입니다. 의도나 설계는 결코 보편적이지 않습니다. 목적이 실제적이고 효과적이기 위해서는 반드시 명확하고, 분명하고, 구체적이어야 합니다.

우리 주 예수님은 세상에 오신 분명한 목적을 가지고 계셨고 그것을 분명하게 말씀하셨습니다. “도둑이 오는 것은 도둑질하고 죽이고 멸망시키려는 것뿐이요 내가 온 것은 양으로 생명을 얻게 하고 더 풍성히 얻게 하려는 것이라”(요 10:10)

요한일서 3:8은 말합니다. “하나님의 아들이 나타나신 것은 마귀의 일을 멸하려 하심이라.” 그리고 누가복음 19:10에서 예수님은 “인자가 온 것은 잃어버린 자를 찾아 구원하려 함이니라.”고 선포하셨습니다. 그분의 목적은 매우 분명했습니다. 그분은 아버지의 뜻을 행하러 오셨습니다.

예수님은 말씀하셨습니다. “나의 양식은 나를 보내신 하나님의 뜻을 행하며 그의 일을 온전히 이루는데 있다”(요 4:34). 이 말씀을 통해 매우 강력한 생명의 원리를 볼 수 있습니다. 신성한 목적을 추구하고 성취하는 것이 생명을 유지하는 진정한 힘이며, 이 땅에서 당신의 엔진을 계속 작동시키는 연료입니다. 자연적인 영역에서도 목표를 쫓고 성취하는 것만큼 누군가의 활기를 자극하고, 살아 숨쉬게 하며, 용기를 북돋아 주는 것은 거의 없습니다.

또한 다마스커스로 가는 길에서 예수님을 만난 바울의 이야기에서 그의 목적을 발견할 수 있습니다(행 26:13-16). 예수님께서는 바울에게 나타나셔서 그를 일꾼과 증인으로 삼으셨습니다(행 26:16). 예수님은 바울에게 이렇게 말씀하셨습니다 “이스라엘과 이방인들에게서 내가 너를 구원하여 그들에게 보내어 그 눈을 뜨게 하여 어둠에서 빛으로, 사탄의 권세에서 하나님께로 돌아오게 하고 죄 사함과 나를 믿어 거룩하게 된 무리 가운데서 기업을 얻게 하리라 하더이다”(행 26:17-18)

이것이 바울의 존재 이유였고 인생의 사명이었습니다. 바울은 19절에서 “하늘에서 보이신 것을 내가 거스르지 아니하고”라고 말했습니다. 고린도전서 9:26은 말합니다. “그러므로 나는 달음질하기를 향방 없는 것 같이 아니하고 싸우기를 허공을 치는 것 같이 아니하며.” 다른 말로, 자신의 임무에 집중하고 있다고 말하는 것입니다. 그는 분명하게 자신의 삶을 향한 하나님의 계획을 이행하고 있었습니다. 이것이 목적을 이루는 삶입니다. 당신의 임무, 곧 하나님이 주신 목적에 집중하십시오. 하나님께 영광 드립니다!

FOCUS ON YOUR ASSIGNMENT

“… I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly”(John 10:10).

One of the beautiful things about discovering your divine purpose in life is that it keeps you focused. Your purpose defines your life, giving you a focus and a direction. A synonym for purpose is “intent” or “design.” Intent or design is never general; it must be clear, definite and specific for it to be realistic and effective.

Our Lord Jesus had a clear purpose for coming into the world, and He expressed it unequivocally. He said, “I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it to the full” (John 10:10).

The Word says in 1 John 3:8: “For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.” Then in Luke 19:10, Jesus declared, “the son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost. His purpose was very clear: He came to do the will of His Father.

He said, “My nourishment comes from doing the will of God who sent me, and from finishing his work” (John 4:34 TLB). We see from this statement of Jesus, a very powerful principle of life revealed: the pursuit and fulfilment of your divine purpose is the true sustenance of life; it’s the fuel that keeps your engine running while you’re on the face of this earth. Even in the natural sense, few things stimulate, keep alive, or stir courage as much as going after a goal and accomplishing it.

We also see purpose expressed in Paul’s narrative of his encounter with Jesus on the road to Damascus (Acts 26:13-16). He appeared to Paul to make him a minister and a witness (Acts 26:16). Reading further, He reveals to Paul that he was “to open the eyes of the Gentiles and turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in Christ Jesus” (Acts 26:17-18).

This was Paul’s reason for being; this was his life’s mission, and he said in Verse 19, “I was not disobedient unto the heavenly vision.” Then in 1 Corinthians 9:26, he said, “I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air.” In other words, I’m focused on my mission; I’m definitive about carrying out God’s plan for my life. That’s how it ought to be. Be focused on your assignment, on your God-given purpose. Glory to God!

PRAYER

Dear Father, I’m unwavering, steadfast, resolute, firm and focused on my mission and the purpose for which I was created. I serve you wholeheartedly as a witness of the Gospel of Christ definitive about fulfilling your purpose for my life, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Faith And A Good Conscience

“믿음과 선한 양심을 붙들라. 어떤 자들이 그것을 버리고 믿음에 관하여는 파선하였느니라”(딤전 1:19, 한글킹제임스)

오늘의 본문 구절에서 우리는 믿음과 선한 양심 사이의 연관성을 볼 수 있습니다. 균형 잡히고 효과적인 그리스도인 생활에는 이 두 가지가 모두 필요합니다.

양심은 당신의 영의 음성입니다. 당신의 양심은 당신의 영이 하나님의 말씀으로 교육을 받아야만 신뢰할 만합니다. 어떤 사람들은 너무나 끔찍한 일을 합니다. 그들은 사악하고 폭력적인 일과 유혈 행위를 후원하거나 이에 가담합니다. 그들의 양심은 그런 일들을 허용합니다. 왜 그럴까요? 그들의 영의 상태 때문입니다. 그들의 양심은 그러한 악과 불의를 허용하도록 가르침 받아왔습니다. 그들의 양심은 마치 화인 맞은 것과 같습니다(딤전 4:2). 하지만 당신의 영이 하나님의 말씀에 의해 조정된다면, 당신의 마음에서 하나님의 음성을 들을 수 있게 되며 완전히 변화할 것입니다.

성경은 당신의 마음 즉 당신의 영이 생명의 근원이라고 말합니다(잠 4:23). 따라서 당신의 영을 확실한 길잡이인 말씀으로 훈련하는 것이 매우 중요합니다. 절대 부정적인 생각과 아이디어를 당신의 마음에 허락하지 마십시오. 그런 부정적인 것은 당신의 마음 안에 비통함, 악함, 폭력, 그리고 공포의 생각이 자라나게 합니다.

골로새서 3:16은 말합니다. “그리스도의 말씀이 너희 속에 풍성히 거하여…” 하나님의 말씀을 당신의 마음에 풍성히 간직하십시오. 그러면 당신은 모든 부정적인 생각을 사로잡아 말씀에 복종하게 할 것입니다(고후 10:5). 할렐루야!

고백

하나님의 말씀은 내 영에 지혜를 주시며 나로 하여금 신성한 생각을 하도록 내 마음을 새롭게 하십니다. 나는 내 삶을 향한 하나님의 영원한 목적과 뜻에 일치하는 생각을 합니다! 나는 오늘 내 영으로부터 좋은 것들을 만들어냅니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

FAITH AND A GOOD CONSCIENCE

“Holding faith, and a good conscience; which some having put away concerning faith have made shipwreck”(1 Timothy 1:19).

From our theme scripture, we observe the connection between faith and a good conscience. You need both for a balanced and effective Christian life.

Your conscience is the voice of your spirit. Your conscience can be trusted, but it’ll only be dependable if your spirit is educated with the Word of God. Some people do terrible things; they sponsor or participate in acts of wickedness, violence and bloodshed. And their conscience allows them to do such things. Why? It’s because of the condition of their spirits. Their conscience has been educated to permit such evil and wickedness. Their conscience has been seared with a hot iron (1 Timothy 4:2). But if your spirit is conditioned by the Word of God, you’ll have the voice of God in your heart, and it’ll be different.

The Bible says out of your heart—your spirit are the issues of life (Proverbs 4:23). It’s therefore important that you train your spirit with the Word to be a sure guide. Never allow negative thoughts and ideas; thoughts of bitterness, wickedness, evil, violence or terror grow in you.

Colossians 3:16 says, “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly….” Store the Word of God richly in your heart, and you’ll be able to bring every negative thought into captivity to the obedience of the Word (2 Corinthians 10:5). Hallelujah!

CONFESSION

The Word of God has imparted wisdom to my spirit and renewed my mind to think divine thoughts; thoughts that are consistent with God’s eternal purpose and will for my life! I bring forth good things from within my spirit today, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

전쟁 무기인 예언

Prophecy As A Weapon

“아들 디모데야 내가 네게 이 교훈으로써 명하노니 전에 너를 지도한 예언을 따라 그것으로 선한 싸움을 싸우며”(딤전 1:18)

성경은 “비록 우리가 육신 안에서 걸으나 육신을 따라 싸우지 아니하노니”(고후 10:3, 한글킹제임스) 라고 말합니다. 다시 말하면, 우리가 육신에 살지만 우리의 전쟁은 육신으로 하는 것이 아닙니다. 그리고 이후 4절에서는 우리의 전쟁 무기에 대해 말합니다. “우리의 전쟁 무기는 육신에 속하지 아니하고 하나님을 통해 강력하여 요새들도 무너뜨리느니라.”

이 무기는 인간이 만들거나 인간의 이해에 따라 만들어진 것이 아닙니다. 오히려 이는 하나님으로 비롯되어 모든 요새를 무너뜨리는 일을 합니다.

어떤 종류의 요새이든지 중요하지 않습니다. 그것이 이론의 요새든, 생각의 요새든, 정치의 요새든, 과학의 요새든, 의학의 요새든 상관없습니다! 우리에게는 이 악한 요새를 몰아내고 그것들을 무력화시킬 무기가 있습니다. 할렐루야!

성령님은 사도 바울을 통해 오늘의 본문 구절에서 예언이 우리의 효과적인 전쟁 무기 중 하나임을 알려주십니다. 예언을 전쟁 무기로 사용하며 당신의 영적 전쟁을 믿음으로 싸워 나가십시오. 당신에 관한 하나님의 말씀이 곧 예언입니다. 그러므로 언제나 그분의 말씀을 선포하십시오.

당신의 입술에서 나오는 하나님의 말씀은 성령의 검(하나님의 “레마”)입니다. 순간적인 영감으로 당신의 입을 통해 나오는 하나님의 말씀입니다. 레마는 예언의 말입니다. 이를 통해 당신은 삶의 경로를 영광에서 영광으로 지어갑니다. 당신은 자신의 인생을 재구성하고 재개발할 수 있습니다. 삶에서 마주한 불쾌한 일을 무시하고 중단할 수 있습니다.

PROPHECY AS A WEAPON

“This charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on thee, that thou by them mightest war a good warfare”(1 Timothy 1:18).

The Bible says, “For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh” (2 Corinthians 10:3). In other words, though we live in the human body, our war isn’t according to the flesh. Then the 4th verse tells us about the weapons of our warfare: “(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;).”

These weapons aren’t manmade or invented by human understanding; rather, they operate through God to the pulling down of strongholds.

It doesn’t matter what kind of strongholds they are; whether they be intellectual strongholds, mental strongholds, political strongholds, scientific strongholds, or medical strongholds! We have weapons to dislodge these evil strongholds and render them ineffective and futile. Hallelujah!

The Holy Spirit, through the Apostle Paul, tells us about one of these effectual weapons of our warfare in our opening scripture—prophecy! Use prophecies as weapons as you wage spiritual warfare by faith. God’s Word about you is prophecy. Therefore, always speak forth His Word.

The Word of God from your lips is the sword of the Spirit (the “rhema” of God). This is an inspired utterance of the Word of God from your mouth for the moment. It’s a prophetic word. With it, you chart your course in life from glory to glory. You can re-frame and re-plan your life. You can override the sequence of unpalatable events in your life or circumstances.

What has God said about you? What has He said about lost souls? What has He said about your life? Use those words to make war and cause His will to be established in your life, in your nation and in the lives of men and women around the world.

PRAYER

I declare that righteousness is established in the hearts of men around the world; and through the truth of the Gospel, salvation, healing and health, prosperity and success, deliverance, wholeness, preservation, peace and joy spread in the nations of the earth, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new”(2 Corinthians 5:17).

There are those who are haunted by guilt and memories of the past. They’re fighting so hard to overcome painful memories. They’re in bondage to their past, probably because of some terrible things they had done or somebody hurt them, and they’ve been living with the pain ever since. Something is wrong.

You need to understand what it means to be born again, to be a new creation: you’re a brand new person. You’re not the same person who had those horrible experiences. That person died in Christ. The new “you” is absolved of all guilt; free of errors and imperfections.

Romans 5:18 says, “Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.” Jesus wasn’t only delivered on account of our sins, He was also raised for our justification (Romans 4:25). What does this mean?

It means you were declared, “not guilty”; no charge against you. The reason is simple: you’re a new creation; a brand new person without a past. So, even if you did something wrong in the past that still makes you feel guilty, it’s all based on memory and emotions. In Christianity, we don’t walk by our feelings, we walk by faith. We live on the affirmation of God’s Word.

Don’t recollect a bitter experience you might have had many years ago and start crying that God should forgive you. Refuse to be held captive by guilt or memories of the past.

Romans 4:25 AMPC says Jesus was raised from the dead for “…our acquittal, [making our account balance and absolving us from all guilt before God].” When you come to Jesus, He makes you free from every kind of bondage: “If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed” (John 8:36). Hallelujah!

PRAYER

Dear Father, I thank you for my new life in Christ; your divine nature in me has made me a master over circumstances, with dominion over the systems of this world. I serve you always with joy unspeakable and full of glory, unencumbered by sin or reproach! Thank you for making me righteous, holy and irreproachable in your sight, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Don’t Harbour Resentment

“너희는 모든 악독과 노함과 분냄과 떠드는 것과 비방하는 것을 모든 악의와 함께 버리고”(엡 4:31)

성령께서는 고린도전서 14:20에서 바울을 통해 말씀하십니다. “악에는 어린 아이가 되라 지혜에는 장성한 사람이 되라.” 어린 아이들은 악의를 간직하지 않습니다. 그들은 원한을 품지 않습니다. 어린 아이들은 순수하고 순진한 마음을 가졌습니다. 하나님께서는 우리가 그렇게 살기를 원하십니다.

오늘의 본문 구절에서 주셨던 동일한 훈계가 골로새서 3:8에서도 반복됩니다. “이제는 너희가 이 모든 것을 벗어 버리라 곧 분함과 노여움과 악의와 비방과 너희 입의 부끄러운 말이라.” 여기에 언급된 단어들은 서로 관련이 있기 때문에 함께 적혀 있는 것입니다.

DON’T HARBOUR RESENTMENT

“Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice”(Ephesians 4:31).

The Spirit says through Paul in 1 Corinthians 14:20, “In malice, be as children, but in understanding be men.” Children don’t keep malice. They don’t harbour resentment; they have a pure and innocent mind. That’s how God wants us to live.

The same admonition He gave in our theme verse is repeated in Colossians 3:8. It says, “But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth.” All these are listed together because they’re all related.

Resentment will prompt you to negative actions and filthy communication; therefore, eschew it. So many ventures today were started on the basis of resentment. Someone was angry about the way things were being done in a certain establishment and went on to start his or her own. Even some churches have been started that way too.

You can’t get God’s approval on a venture, enterprise or action that has anger, resentment and bitterness as its driving force.

The Lord Jesus alluded to this in Matthew 23:27 when he said, “Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men’s bones, and of all uncleanness. Even so ye also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but within ye are full of hypocrisy and iniquity.”

Harbouring resentment, bitterness, anger, hatred, or jealousy eventually produces adverse effects in a person, because these negative forces lead people to unwholesome actions. Remember, we’re called to walk in love.

When you walk in love, you’re a master; you’re in dominion. The Bible says love isn’t self-seeking, touchy, fretful or resentful. It takes no account of the evil done to it, neither does it pay attention to a suffered wrong (1 Corinthians 13:5 AMPC).

CONFESSION

I refuse to allow resentment, hatred, jealousy, envy, bitterness, anger, strife, spite, ill will or baseness of any kind to take root in me. My heart is full of God’s love, kindness and compassion; and I express these lavishly everywhere and to everyone to the delight of the Father. Amen.

종종 두려움에 쫓기는 사람들은 그들이 무엇을 두려워하는지조차 정의하지 못하지만, 항상 두려움 속에 살고 있습니다. 하지만 우리는 결코 두려움에 흔들리지 않습니다. 우리가 하나님으로부터 났고 믿음으로 살기 때문입니다. 앞으로 절대 두려움에 지배당하지 않겠다고 결심하십시오.

두려움이 당신으로 하여금 어떤 행동을 취하거나, 어떤 행동을 멈추게 하지 마십시오. 성경은 두려움이 사람들에게 덫을 놓지만, 여호와를 신뢰하는 당신은 안전하다고 말합니다(잠 29:25).

NEVER RULED BY FEAR

“There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love”(1 John 4:18).

There’re certain negative forces that affect people’s actions, choices and decisions; one of them is fear. Fear is a tormenting spirit. There’re different kinds of fear: The fear of failure, the fear of the future, the fear of man, the fear of death, the fear of darkness, and so on.

Oftentimes, those who are driven by fear can’t even define what they’re afraid of. Yet, they perpetually live in fear. But we’re never to be moved by fear, because we’re born of God and live by faith. In your life, make up your mind that you’ll never be ruled by fear.

Never allow fear to prompt you to take an action or stop you from taking one. The Bible says fear entraps, but if you trust in the Lord, you’re safe (Proverbs 29: 25).

There are people who are bound by the fear of insecurity. Even some leaders experience these fears in their leadership roles. But the Bible says, “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind” (2 Timothy 1:7). That means if you’re born again and filled with the Holy Spirit, fear has no place in your life. You should never be ensnared by fear. You have the Spirit of power, of love, and of a sound mind. Blessed be God!

It makes no difference the darkness in the world and how dismal the state of the world economy gets; refuse to be agitated. Trust the Lord; He leads us in perpetual triumph. 1 John 4:4 says, “Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.”

God has ordained your victory, promotion, and prosperity in the midst of darkness. He already planned that you’ll be a success in this life, irrespective of what’s going on in the world around you. So, live confidently every day, knowing that your faith is the victory that overcomes the world. For whatever is born of God is victorious over the world; and this is the victory that conquers the world, even our faith (1 John 5:4 AMPC).

CONFESSION

Satan and the powers of darkness are under my feet; therefore, I have nothing to fear. The impulses of fear have been completely disabled from my life. Irrespective of the situation, I’m bold and courageous, speaking the Word in faith. My faith is the victory that overcomes fear, sickness, disease and infirmities. I walk in dominion over the elements of this world, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

주님은 이 마지막 때에 이 땅에 있는 그분의 자녀들을 통해 하실 일이 많으십니다. 하지만 많은 사람들을 통해 그런 일이 일어나는 것을 제한하고 있는 요인은 바로 지식입니다. 존재하는지 조차 알지 못한다면 그것을 어떻게 소망하겠습니까? 상상하지 못하는 일을 기대할 수는 없습니다.

하지만 하나님께 감사드립니다! 성경은 마지막 때에 지식이 더해질 것이라고 말합니다. 이 지식을 통해 우리는 불가능했고, 생각할 수도 없었고, 상상할 수도 없던 일을 하고 있습니다. 성령님은 말씀에 대한 정확하고 확실한 지식을 우리에게 드러내시며 그분이 원하시는 일을 할 수 있도록 교회를 도우시고 구비하고 계십니다.

성령님을 통해 우리는 하나님께서 우리에게 값없이 주신 것들을 압니다. “우리가 세상의 영을 받지 아니하고 오직 하나님으로부터 온 영을 받았으니 이는 우리로 하여금 하나님께서 우리에게 은혜로 주신 것들을 알게 하려 하심이라.”(고전 2:12) 삶은 당신의 지식이나 이해에 제한을 받습니다. 올바른 지식 즉 하나님의 말씀에 대한 지식을 얻을 때 당신에게 많은 일이 일어납니다. 당신의 역량이 엄청나게 증가합니다. 하나님께서 당신을 위해 예비하신 놀라운 축복을 깨닫고 이해할 수 있게 됩니다.

사도행전 20:32은 이렇게 선포합니다. “지금 내가 여러분을 주와 및 그 은혜의 말씀에 부탁하노니 그 말씀이 여러분을 능히 든든히 세우사 거룩하게 하심을 입은 모든 자 가운데 기업이 있게 하시리라.” 당신은 이미 그리스도 안에서 유업을 물려받았습니다. 그러나 오직 하나님을 아는 지식을 통해서만 당신에게 정당하게 주어진 것들을 취할 수 있습니다. 그러므로 오늘 당신께 다음과 같이 권면 드립니다. “그리스도의 말씀이 너희 속에 풍성히 거하여 모든 지혜로 피차 가르치며 권면하고 시와 찬송과 신령한 노래를 부르며 감사하는 마음으로 하나님을 찬양하라.”(골 3:16) 할렐루야!

기도

사랑하는 아버지, 나는 말씀을 통해 그리스도 안에서 삶에 필요한 지식을 얻었습니다. 나의 명철의 눈이 밝아졌습니다. 그러므로 나는 신비들과 비밀들에 대한 통찰력을 가지고 있습니다. 내가 알지 못하는 것이 없습니다. 그리스도가 나의 지혜이시며, 하나님의 말씀이 성령을 통하여 날마다 나를 가르쳐 주시기 때문입니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

KNOWLEDGE IS IMPORTANT

“But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him”(1 Corinthians 2:9).

There’s so much that the Lord wants to do through His children in the earth in these last days, but the limiting factor for many has been knowledge. How do you hope for something that you don’t even know exists? You can’t expect something that your imagination can’t fathom.

But thanks be unto God! The Bible says in the last days, knowledge shall be increased. Through this knowledge, we’re doing the impossible, the unthinkable, and the unimaginable. The Holy Spirit is helping and preparing the Church for what He wants to do by availing us of true, accurate, and precise knowledge of His Word.

Through Him, we know the things that are freely given to us by God: “Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God” (1 Corinthians 2:12). Life is limited by your knowledge or understanding. There’s a whole lot that happens to you when you get the right knowledge, the knowledge of God’s Word. Your capacity is tremendously increased; you become aware and are able to comprehend the wonderful blessings God has prepared for you to enjoy.

Acts 20:32 declares, “And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified.” You already have an inheritance bequeathed to you in Christ, but through the knowledge of God, you’re able to take a hold of what’s rightfully yours. I admonish you today, “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord” (Colossians 3:16). Hallelujah!

PRAYER

Dear Father, I’m furnished with the requisite knowledge for life in Christ, through the Word. The eyes of my understanding are being enlightened. Therefore, I have insight into mysteries and secrets; there’s nothing that I can’t know. Christ is my wisdom, and the Word of God informs me daily, through the Holy Spirit, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
