말씀에 초점을 맞추십시오
SET YOUR FOCUS ON THE WORD
“오직 강하고 극히 담대하여 나의 종 모세가 네게 명령한 그 율법을 다 지켜 행하고 우로나 좌로나 치우치지 말라 그리하면 어디로 가든지 형통하리니”(수1:7)
저는 청소년 시기에 하나님의 영과 함께 여러가지 문제를 대면했습니다. 저는 여러가지 일들 안에서 헤매며 저를 향한 하나님의 목적을 추측하고 고민하며 살고 싶지 않았습니다. 저는 정확히 어디로 가야 하는지, 무엇을 해야 하는지, 제 삶을 어떻게 살아야 하는지 알고 싶었습니다. 제 삶을 향한 하나님의 방향을 알고 싶었습니다. 하나님께서 제 미래를 이미 아신다는 것을 깨닫고 나니, 그분께 묻는 것은 잘못된 일이 아니라고 생각했기 때문입니다.
이후 어떻게 되었을까요? 하나님은 제 생각과 영을 그분의 말씀으로 인도하셨습니다. 하나님께서는 이렇게 말씀하셨습니다. “내 말이 너의 나침반이다. 말씀이 너의 길을 알려줄 것이다. 네가 이 말씀을 따른다면 너는 절대 길을 잃어버리지 않을 것이다. 너는 하는 모든 일에서 형통할 것이다.” 이것은 오늘의 본문 구절에서 하나님께서 여호수아에게 하신 말씀입니다.
시편 119:105은 말합니다. “주의 말씀은 내 발에 등이요 내 길에 빛이니이다.” 주 예수님은 요한복음 8:12에서 말씀하셨습니다. “…나는 세상의 빛이니 나를 따르는 자는 어둠에 다니지 아니하고 생명의 빛을 얻으리라.” 예수님이 곧 말씀이십니다. 할렐루야!
말씀에 당신의 초점을 맞추십시오. 그러면 결코 실패하지 않을 것입니다. “이 율법책을 네 입에서 떠나지 말게 하며 주야로 그것을 묵상하여 그 안에 기록된 대로 다 지켜 행하라 그리하면 네 길이 평탄하게 될 것이며 네가 형통하리라”(수1:8). 하나님의 말씀은 절대적인 진리입니다. 당신은 말씀에 절대적으로 의지할 수 있습니다.
하나님을 믿고 그분의 말씀에 거하기를 두려워하지 마십시오. 그렇게 할 때 당신은 실수하거나 후회할 수 없습니다. 하나님의 말씀을 따라 사는 것을 후회하는 사람들은 사실 말씀을 제대로 알지 못했던 사람들입니다. 그들은 말씀이 아니라 자신의 마음의 욕망을 따라갔습니다. 말씀을 따라 살아갈 때 무엇이 당신을 방해하든지 말씀에서 눈을 떼지 마십시오. 할렐루야!
기도
사랑하는 아버지, 당신의 말씀은 내 빛이시며 삶을 안내하는 나침반입니다. 말씀은 나를 성공, 승리, 위대함의 길로 인도하는 빛입니다. 나는 당신의 말씀을 통해 왕국의 신비와 실재에 대한 통찰력을 얻습니다. 당신의 말씀으로 인도 받을 수 있는 축복에 감사드립니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

SET YOUR FOCUS ON THE WORD
“Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper whithersoever thou goest”(Joshua 1:7).
When I was a teenager, I engaged the Spirit of God on several issues. I didn’t want to live my life dabbling into different things, guessing and trying to figure out God’s purpose for my life. I wanted to know exactly where to go, what to do, and how to set my sail. I wanted to know God’s direction for my life, because I figured since He already knew my future, there wasn’t anything wrong with my asking Him.
Guess what? He directed my mind and my spirit to His Word. He said to me, “My Word is your compass; it illuminates your path. If you follow my Word, you’ll never lose your way; you’ll prosper in all that you do.” That’s what He said to Joshua in our theme scripture.
Psalm 119:105 says, “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.” The Lord Jesus said in John 8:12, “…I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.” He is the Word. Hallelujah!
Set your focus on the Word and you will never fail: “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night… for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success” (Joshua 1:8). God’s Word is absolute truth; you can depend absolutely on it.
Don’t be afraid to believe God and stay on His Word. You can’t do that and make a mistake or regret it. Those who regret following God’s Word, never really knew the Word; they weren’t following the Word, but the desires of their own hearts. When you go for the Word, you stay focused, no matter what tries to distract you. Hallelujah!
PRAYER
Dear Father, your Word is my light and the compass by which I navigate my way through life; it’s the light that guides me in the path of success, victory, and greatness. Through your Word, I receive insight into the mysteries and realities of the Kingdom. Thank you for the blessing of being guided and regulated by your Word, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
