당신의 세상을 다스리십시오
Dominate Your World
“너희가 세상의 초등학문에서 그리스도와 함께 죽었거든 어찌하여 세상에 사는 것과 같이 규례에 순종하느냐”(골 2:20)
오늘의 본문 구절은 우리가 이 세상의 원리들에 지배당하지 않음을 알려줍니다. 예수님은 이 세상을 다스리셨습니다. 그분은 세상의 타락과 그분이 속한 사회의 부패나 실패 위에 사셨습니다. 그분은 이 땅에 사시는 동안 당시 정부와 시스템을 뛰어넘어 사셨습니다. 그것이 예수님이 우리에게 주신 삶입니다. 이 세상의 초등학문에 종속되지 않고 군림하는 삶입니다.
그분은 우리를 자급자족하게 만드셔서 우리가 이 세상의 시스템을 뛰어넘어 살게 하셨습니다. 그분은 당신이 이 세상에 있지만 이 세상에 속하지 않는다고 말씀하셨습니다. 즉, 당신은 이 세상의 시스템과 부패한 영향력을 다스려야 한다는 의미입니다. 당신 주변의 많은 사람들은 오늘날 세상의 속임수와 부패와 악함의 결과에 영향을 받고 타협할 수도 있습니다. 그러나 당신에게는 해당되지 않습니다. 당신은 하나님의 왕국에서 났으며, 당신의 삶은 오직 그분의 진리 위에 세워지고 그것에만 영향을 받습니다.
하나님의 말씀을 계속 배우십시오. 그러면 당신은 예수님처럼 생각하고 말하게 될 것입니다. 그분은 요한복음 16:33에서 이렇게 말씀하셨습니다. “이것을 너희에게 이르는 것은 너희로 내 안에서 평안을 누리게 하려 함이라 세상에서는 너희가 환난을 당하나 담대하라 내가 세상을 이기었노라.” 그분이 당신을 위해 세상을 이기셨으므로 그분과 동일한 의식을 가지십시오. 그분은 짙은 어둠, 속임, 경제적 어려움, 질병, 억압, 죽음, 재난 등에 시달리는 세상에 살면서도 승리자의 사고방식을 지니셨습니다. 그분은 당신도 그렇게 살기를 기대하십니다.
당신이 도전, 박해, 고통스러운 상황, 환난의 시간, 시련, 유혹을 맞닥뜨릴 때 요동하지 마십시오. 당신은 그리스도 안에서 세상을 이겼기 때문입니다(요일 4:4). 이러한 의식이 당신의 기도 가운데 표현되게 하십시오. 어떤 도전을 마주하든지 상관없이 기도할 때 당신이 예수 이름 안에서 세상과 그 시스템, 증오, 속임수, 가난, 부패, 불황, 거짓, 적그리스도의 영을 이겼다고 선포하십시오. 할렐루야!
고백
나는 이 세상의 시스템을 뛰어넘어 삽니다. 나는 그리스도와 그분의 말씀과 성령의 다스림 안에 살기 때문에 이 세상의 고난, 부패, 악, 속임수와 상관없이 삽니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

DOMINATE YOUR WORLD
Wherefore if ye be dead with Christ from the rudiments of the world, why, as though living in the world, are ye subject to ordinances (Colossians 2:20).
Our opening verse lets us know that we’re not subject to the principles of this world. Jesus dominated this world; He lived above the decadence of the world, the corruption and failure of His society.
He lived far above, and beyond the government and systems of the day when He walked the earth. That’s the life He’s given us: one that’s not subject to, but lords over, the rudiments of this world.
He’s made us self-sufficient, to function above and beyond the systems of this world. He said you’re in the world, but not of the world. That means you’re to dominate the systems and corrupting influences in today’s world. Many around you may be influenced, and provoked to compromise as a result of the deceit, corruption and wickedness in today’s world, but not you. You hail from God’s Kingdom, and your life is built on, and regulated by, His truth only.
Keep learning God’s Word. It’ll make you think and talk like Jesus. In John 16:33, He said, “These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.” Have the same consciousness, because He overcame the world for you. Although He lived in a world plagued by gross darkness, deceit, economic hardships, sickness, oppression, deaths, disasters, etc., He had a victor’s mindset; the kind He expects you to function with.
When you face challenges, persecutions, distressing situations, turbulent times, trials, and temptations, be unruffled; because in Christ, you have overcome the world (1 John 4:4). Let this consciousness reflect even in your prayer-language. It makes no difference the challenges you face; when you pray, declare that in the Name of Jesus, you’ve overcome the world and its systems; its hatred, deceit, poverty, corruption, depression, falsehood and antichrist spirit. Hallelujah!
CONFESSION
I live and function above and beyond the systems of this world; I’m independent of the hardships, corruption, evil and deceit in the world because I live in Christ, in His Word, and in the dominion of the Spirit, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
