Our Union With The Father
“주와 합하는 자는 한 영이니라”(고전 6:17)
거듭나고 성령을 받은 당신은 주님과 하나가 되었습니다. 그분은 당신 안에 살기 위해 오셨고 당신의 영과 연합하셨습니다. 창세 때부터 그분의 목적은 당신과 뗄 수 없는 하나가 되는 것이었습니다.
아버지는 예수님과 하나입니다. 그분이 예수님과 완전히 하나였다는 점은 요한복음 14장에서 빌립이 예수님께 이렇게 질문했을 때 정확히 나타납니다. “아버지를 우리에게 보여 주옵소서. 그리하면 우리가 족하겠나이다.” 빌립의 요청에 대한 그분의 대답은 다음과 같았습니다. “빌립아 내가 이렇게 오래 너희와 함께 있으되 네가 나를 알지 못하느냐.” 그리고 그분은 이렇게 말씀하셨습니다. “나를 본 자는 아버지를 보았거늘 어찌하여 아버지를 보이라 하느냐.”
예수님은 그분과 아버지의 하나됨을 우리가 이해하기 원하셨고, 그분께서 우리를 부르신 위치 또한 아버지와의 하나됨이었습니다. 요한일서 1:3은 말합니다. “… 우리의 사귐(우리의 하나됨, 우리의 연합)은 아버지와 그의 아들 예수 그리스도와 더불어 누림이라.”
예수님은 십자가에 달리시기 전에 이에 대해 기도하셨습니다. 그분을 믿게 될 모든 자에 대해 다음과 같이 말씀하셨습니다. “아버지여, 아버지께서 내 안에, 내가 아버지 안에 있는 것 같이 그들도 다 하나가 되어 우리 안에 있게 하사…”(요 17:21) 예수님은 우리가 그분과 아버지와 뗄 수 없는 하나가 되어 세상이 절대 우리를 그분에게서 떨어뜨려 놓을 수 없게 하기를 원하셨습니다. 그리고 바로 그 일이 우리에게 일어났습니다.
천사들도 이 사실에 기뻐합니다. 이제 그들이 우리를 볼 때에 예수님을 보기 때문입니다! 당신 안에 계신 그리스도가 곧 기독교입니다. 당신 안에 역사하는 아버지의 왕국입니다. 할렐루야!
고린도전서 1:9은 말합니다. “너희를 불러 그의 아들 예수 그리스도 우리 주와 더불어 교제하게 하시는 하나님은 미쁘시도다.” 이것이 하나님이 원하신 전부였고, 세상의 기초가 놓이기 전부터 감춰져 있었던 비밀이었습니다(골 1:26-27).
그러나 하나님을 송축합니다! 주 예수님은 이것이 가능하도록 우리에게 그분의 생명을 주셨습니다. 이제 아버지께 속한 모든 것은 우리에게 속합니다. 우리는 그분과 하나이기 때문입니다. 당신은 그분의 상속자이며 그리스도와 함께 한 공동 상속자입니다. 할렐루야!
기도
사랑하는 아버지, 당신과 뗄 수 없는 하나가 된다는 것은 진정 위대한 영광이자 특권입니다. 아버지께서 나를 모든 진리 가운데로 인도하시기 때문에 나는 항상 승리자로 살며 나를 향한 당신의 완전한 뜻에 일치되게 행할 것입니다. 성령님을 통해 주시는 인도와 축복에 감사드립니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

OUR UNION WITH THE FATHER
But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit (1 Corinthians 6:17).
Being born again, and having received the Holy Spirit, you’re one with the Lord. He’s come to dwell within you and has mingled with your spirit. His purpose from the foundation of the world was to be inseparably united with you.
He’s one with Jesus; He was so much one with Jesus that when Philip asked Jesus in John 14, “Show us the Father and we will be satisfied,” His response to Philip was, “Have I been such a long time with you and have you not known me, Philip?” Then He added, “Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father. I’m in the Father, and the Father is in me.”
He wanted us to understand His oneness with the Father, and that oneness with the Father is what He brought us into. 1 John 1:3 NKJV tells us, “…truly our fellowship (our oneness, our union) is with the Father and with His son Jesus Christ.”
Jesus prayed about this before He went to the Cross; referring to all those who’d believe in Him, He said, “That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us…” (John 17:21). He so wanted us to be inseparably one with Him and the Father that the world wouldn’t be able to separate us from Him. And that’s what has happened. Even the angels are enthused by this, because they now look at us, and see Jesus! That’s Christianity—Christ in you; the Father’s Kingdom at work in you. Hallelujah!
1 Corinthians 1:9 says, “God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.” This was all God ever wanted, but it was a mystery from the foundation of the world (Colossians 1:26-27). But blessed be God! The Lord Jesus gave us His life to make it possible. Now, anything that belongs to the Father belongs to us, because we’re one with Him; you’re His heir, and a joint-heir with Christ. Hallelujah!
PRAYER
Dear Father, what a great honour and privilege it is to be inseparably one with you. I’ll always be a victor, and walk in sync with your perfect will for me because you guide me in all things. Thank you for the guidance, promptings and blessings I receive through the Spirit, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
