높은 차원에서 보십시오
SEE AT A HIGHER PLANE

“우리가 주목하는 것은 보이는 것이 아니요 보이지 않는 것이니 보이는 것은 잠깐이요 보이지 않는 것은 영원함이라”(고후 4:18)

인간은 영적 존재입니다. 영은 내적 감각을 가지고 있습니다. 그러나 대부분의 사람들이 그들의 내적 감각을 훈련하지 않습니다. 그들은 자연적인 감각에 의해 살아가는 것에 훈련되어 있으므로 이 땅의 영역에서 보고 감지하는 것에만 익숙합니다. 얼마나 제한적인 삶입니까!

자연적 감각의 한계 안에서 살지 마십시오. 하나님은 그분의 말씀을 통해 인간의 감각으로 이해할 수 없는 영역이 있다는 것을 알려주십니다. “하나님이 말씀하시기를 말세에 내가 내 영을 모든 육체에 부어 주리니 너희의 자녀들은 예언할 것이요 너희의 젊은이들은 환상(vision)을 보고…”(행 2:17) 젊은이들은 환상을 볼 것이라고 말씀하셨을 때, 그것은 보통 사람이 볼 수 없는 것을 보는 능력을 말하는 것입니다. 당신의 영으로부터 보는 능력 곧 내적 감각입니다. 사람들이 이것을 비전이라고 부르는 이유는 자연인들이 볼 수 없다고 말하는 영역에서 보는 것이기 때문입니다.

예를 들어 어린 다윗이 골리앗과 만났던 것을 생각해 보십시오. 다른 사람들이 골리앗을 두려워할 때도 다윗은 그를 쓰러뜨릴 수 있다고 확신했습니다. 어떻게 그럴 수 있었습니까? 그는 다르게 보았기 때문입니다. 그는 골리앗을 말씀을 통해 보았습니다. 그에게 골리앗은 무슨 일을 하든지 이스라엘의 군대를 이길 수 없는 사람이었습니다. 다윗은 이렇게 말했습니다. “…이 할례 받지 않은 블레셋 사람이 누구이기에…?”(삼상 17:26) 오늘의 본문 구절에서 읽었듯이 다윗은 다른 사람들이 볼 수 없는 것을 보았습니다. 우리는 자연적인 눈에 보이는 것들만 보는 사람들이 아닙니다. 그것들은 아무 근거가 없기 때문입니다.

당신의 은행계좌에 돈이 얼마가 있는지 보는 것을 멈추십시오. 당신이 처한 상황이나 사람들이 당신에 대해서 말하는 바를 보지 말고, 보이지 않는 것들을 바라보십시오! 이 세상의 장벽을 넘어 보는 것을 훈련하십시오. 말씀을 통해 바라보십시오. 영을 통해 높은 수준에서 보십시오.

고백
나의 이해의 눈은 빛으로 가득 차서 보이지 않는 것들을 보게 하고 불가능한 일들을 하도록 힘을 줍니다. 나는 평범한 눈으로 볼 수 없는 것들을 보도록 기름부음 받았습니다. 나는 영광과 승리와 풍성함과 번영을 봅니다. 나는 세상의 장벽을 넘어 바라봅니다. 하나님을 찬양합니다!

SEE AT A HIGHER PLANE

While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal (2 Corinthians 4:18).

Man is primarily a spirit being; and the spirit has its inner senses. But for most people, their inner senses are untrained. So, you find that most are only used to what they can see and perceive in this earth-realm, because they’ve only been trained to describe things with their natural senses. How limiting that is!

Don’t live your life to the limits of your natural senses. God tells us in His Word that there’s more than the human senses can comprehend. He said, “…I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions…” (Acts 2:17). When He said the young men shall see visions, He was talking about the ability to see beyond the ordinary; the ability to see with, and from your spirit; your inner senses. That’s why they’re called visions, because what you see at that realm, the natural man calls invisible.

Take young David’s encounter with Goliath for example. He was so sure he could take down Goliath, even though others were afraid of him. Why? He saw differently. He saw through the Word that the man, Goliath, standing in front of him couldn’t in any way defeat the armies of Isreal. So, he said, “…who is this uncircumcised Philistine…” (1 Samuel 17:26). He saw what others couldn’t see, and that’s what we read in our theme verse: we don’t look at the things which are obvious to the natural eyes, for such things have no foundation.

Stop looking at how much you have in the bank. Stop looking at the situation you’re in or what people are saying about you. See the invisible! Train yourself to see beyond this world, beyond the walls and the barriers. See through the Word. See by the Spirit, at a higher level. Hallelujah!

CONFESSION
The eyes of my understanding are flooded with light, causing me to see the invisible, and energizing me for the impossible. My mind is anointed to see what the ordinary eyes can’t see. I see glory, victory and prosperity. I see beyond the walls and barriers. Praise God!

받으십시오
RECEIVE

“더욱 은혜와 의의 선물을 넘치게 받는 자들은 한 분 예수 그리스도를 통하여 생명 안에서 왕 노릇 하리로다”(롬 5:17)

저는 수년간 휠체어를 타고 다닌 사람에게 사역한 적이 있었습니다. 저는 그에게 물었습니다. “오늘 치유 받으실 겁니까?” 그러자 그는 “네, 그럼요.”라고 대답했습니다. 저는 다시 물었습니다 “지금 제가 당신을 위해 기도할 때 어떤 일들이 생길 것 같나요?” 그는 이렇게 대답했습니다. “저는 걷고 뛸 겁니다.” 그래서 저는 제 손을 그에게 얹고 말했습니다. “당신은 치유 받았습니다.” 즉시 그는 휠체어에서 벌떡 일어나서 약간 비틀거리더니 곧 온전해졌습니다. 할렐루야!

제가 그에게 “당신은 치유 받았습니다.”라고 말했을 때 그는 더 이상 기다리지 않고 즉시 받았습니다. 받는 것이 그의 역할이었습니다. 주는 것은 중요하지만 받는 것도 중요합니다. 많은 사람들이 어떻게 받는지 모르고 있습니다. 받는 것은 믿음으로 하는 것입니다. 그것은 당신의 영으로 받는 것이며 수동적이지 않습니다. 헬라어 단어 “람바노(lambano)”는 적극적으로 소유하는 것을 의미합니다. 이는 당신이 손을 뻗어 잡아서 당신의 소유로 만드는 것입니다.

사도행전 3:6에서 베드로는 태어날 때부터 절름발이였던 사람에게 이렇게 말했습니다. “은과 금은 내게 없거니와 내게 있는 이것을 네게 주노니 나사렛 예수 그리스도의 이름으로 일어나 걸으라” 우리는 7절에서 베드로가 절름발이였던 사람을 손으로 잡아 일으킨 것을 볼 수 있습니다. “…발과 발목이 곧 힘을 얻고 뛰어 서서 걸으며…” 그 사람은 베드로에게 “저를 잡아당기지 말아주세요. 제 다리는 너무 약해서 일어설 수 없어요.”라고 말할 수도 있었습니다. 그러나 그는 그렇게 하지 않았습니다! 오히려 그는 받았습니다. 할렐루야!

우리는 생명과 경건에 속한 모든 것 곧 그리스도 예수 안에 있는 모든 영적인 복을 받았습니다. 이 축복들을 받으십시오. 당신이 받지 않는다면 아무것도 받을 수 없습니다. 하나님과 그분의 말씀에 대한 당신의 반응이 당신이 받았다는 증거입니다. 그리고 그것이 바로 믿음입니다. 믿음은 하나님의 말씀에 대한 인간의 영의 반응입니다. 당신의 삶과 재정, 건강, 가족에 대해 갈망하는 변화는 이미 일어났습니다. 변화를 받고 그에 합당하게 행하십시오.

기도
사랑하는 하나님 아버지, 당신의 말씀을 믿음으로 행할 때 내가 받는 축복으로 인해 감사드립니다. 당신의 말씀에 따라 말하며 그 빛 가운데 행할 때, 평안으로 나아가고 그리스도 안에서 나의 승리와 통치를 지속합니다. 나는 모든 일에서 탁월하게 하는 말씀의 능력을 확신하며 오늘도 말씀으로 전진합니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

RECEIVE

…much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ (Romans 5:17).

Once, I was about to minister to someone who’s been sick and confined to a wheelchair for years. I asked him, “Will you be healed today?” He said, “Yes, of course.” Then I said, “What will happen when I pray for you now?” He said, “I’ll walk and I’ll run.” So, I placed my hands on him and said, “You’re healed.” Immediately, he jumped out of the wheelchair, staggered a little and was perfect. Hallelujah!

Now, when I said to him, “You’re healed,” he didn’t wait for anything more; he received instantly. That was his role: to receive. Giving is one thing, but receiving is another. Many don’t seem to know how to receive. Receiving is by faith; it’s with your spirit, and it’s not something you do passively. The Greek word is “lambano,” and it means to take active possession; to reach out, take a hold of something and make it yours.

In Acts 3:6, Peter addressed a man who was crippled from birth and said, “…silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.” In verse 7, we read that Peter took the crippled man by the hand and yanked him up. The Bible says, “…immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength. And he leaping up stood, and walked…” (Acts 3:7-8). The man could have said to Peter, “Please don’t pull me up, my legs are too feeble to carry me”; no! He received. Hallelujah!

We’ve been given all things that pertain to life and godliness; all spiritual blessings that exist in Christ Jesus. Receive. If there’s no receiving from your end, it amounts to nothing. Your response to God and His Word is the proof that you’ve received. And that is what faith is: the response of the human spirit to the Word of God. The change you desire in your life, finances, health and family have already taken place; receive and act accordingly.

PRAYER
Dear heavenly Father, I thank you for the blessings I receive from acting my faith on your Word. As I speak in accordance with your Word and walk in its light, I’m led forth with peace, maintaining my victory and dominion in Christ. I’m making progress by the Word today, confident in its ability to put me over and cause me to excel in all I do, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

“천지는 없어질지언정 내 말은 없어지지 아니하리라”(마 24:35)

어떤 사람들은 주님을 위해 일하면서 그들의 시간과 에너지와 자원을 쓰지만 막상 자신의 삶에서는 어떤 결과도 얻지 못한다고 생각합니다. 그들은 자신의 삶을 보면서 자신의 수고에 상응하는 발전을 이루지 못했다고 생각합니다. 그러한 생각이 당신의 심령에 떠오르도록 허용하지 마십시오. 복음에 대한 당신의 사랑의 수고의 결과는 즉각적으로 나타나지 않을 수도 있지만, 다른 사람들은 분명 그 영향을 받고 있습니다.

이것에 대해 생각해보십시오. 고대의 많은 선지자들은 자신의 예언의 결과를 보지 못했습니다. 그러나 오늘날 우리는 그들이 한 예언들을 누리고 있습니다. 그들의 시대에는 분명 그 예언들이 거짓이라고 생각한 사람들이 있었을 것입니다. 선지자들이 죽고 나서도 그들의 시대에 그들이 한 예언들이 성취되지 않았기 때문입니다. 그러나 사실 많은 경우 선지자들은 그들의 시대에 대해 예언하지 않았습니다.

예를 들어, 선지자 요엘은 말했습니다. “하나님이 말씀하시기를 말세에 내가 내 영을 모든 육체에 부어 주리니 너희의 자녀들은 예언할 것이요…”(행 2:17) 요엘의 시대에 살았던 사람들은 말세가 무엇인지 몰랐습니다. 그들은 요엘의 예언을 거짓이라고 생각했을 수도 있습니다. 그러나 예정된 시간에 그 예언은 성취되었습니다. 사도행전 2:1-4에서 사도들은 모두 한 곳에 모였는데 갑자기 하늘에서 세찬 바람이 부는 듯한 소리가 나더니 그들이 앉아 있는 온 집안을 가득 채웠습니다. 그리고 갈라지는 것 같은 혀들이 그들에게 나타나더니 각 사람 위에 내려 앉았고 그들은 모두 성령으로 충만하게 되었습니다. 하나님께 영광 드립니다!

예언이 실제로 일어나기까지 수년이 걸렸습니다. 그리고 성령님은 베드로에게 이렇게 말씀하시면서 확증해 주셨습니다. “이는 곧 선지자 요엘을 통하여 말씀하신 것이니 일렀으되”(행 2:16) 할렐루야! 하나님의 말씀이 당신의 삶에 일어나지 않았다고 해서 절대 주님과 복음 안에서 섬기는 것이 쓸모 없다고 생각하지 마십시오. 흔들리지 마십시오. 결과는 반드시 있습니다. 아직 당신이 보지 못했을지라도 일어날 것입니다. 다른 사람의 말이나 보여지는 환경은 중요치 않습니다. 주님을 섬기는 데 집중하고 열정을 유지하십시오. 당신의 눈을 그분께 고정하십시오. 그분의 말씀은 진리이며 결코 실패하지 않습니다.

주님, 주의 말씀은 영원히 하늘에 세워졌습니다. 당신은 하나님이십니다! 하늘과 땅이 없어질지라도 당신의 말씀은 결코 없어지지 않습니다. 그러므로 나는 당신이 나에 대해 말씀하신 영광스러운 진리들을 받아들입니다. 그리고 그리스도 안에 있는 나의 축복의 실재들 가운데 행합니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

HIS WORD NEVER FAILS

Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away (Matthew 24:35).

Sometimes, there’re those who are working for the Lord, giving their time, expending energy, and resources, and then they think it’s not yielding any result in their lives. They look at their lives and think they’re not making commensurate progress. Never allow such thoughts arise in your heart. The results of your labour of love in the Gospel may not be immediately obvious to you, but others are surely being impacted by it.

Think about it: many prophets of old, for example, didn’t see the result of their own prophecies. But we’re today enjoying some of the prophecies they gave. In their day, there must have been those who thought their prophecies were false, because some of the prophets lived and died, and their prophecies weren’t fulfilled in their day. But the truth is, in many cases, some of those prophets weren’t speaking of their days.

For instance, Joel said, “And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy…” (Acts 2:17). Those alive in his day didn’t know what the last days were. They may have considered Joel’s prophecy as false. But at the appointed time, that prophecy was fulfilled. The Bible says in Acts 2:1-4 that the apostles were all sitting in one place, in one accord; then suddenly, there was a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind and it filled all the house where they were sitting and cloven tongues like fire sat on each of them and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost. Glory to God!

It took many years for the prophecy to come to pass, and the Spirit alerted Peter, who confirmed it, saying, “But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel” (Acts 2:16). Hallelujah! Never think your service in the Lord and in the Gospel is worthless, just because you think His Word to you hasn’t come to pass. Don’t be distracted; the results are there. Even the ones you’re yet to see will still happen. It doesn’t matter what anybody says or what circumstances show; remain focused and fervent, serving the Lord. Keep your gaze on Him. His Word is true and never fails.

PRAYER
Forever, O Lord, your Word is settled in heaven; from everlasting to everlasting, you’re God! Heaven and earth shall pass away, but your Word never fails. Therefore, I embrace the glorious truths you’ve spoken concerning me, and I appropriate and walk in the reality of my blessings in Christ, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

전도서 2:26은 말합니다. “하나님은 그가 기뻐하시는 자에게는 지혜와 지식과 희락을 주시나 죄인에게는 노고를 주시고 그가 모아 쌓게 하사 하나님을 기뻐하는 자에게 그가 주게 하시지만 이것도 헛되어 바람을 잡는 것이로다” 이 구절은 이방인의 번영에 대해 잘 묘사해 줍니다. 그들은 더 많은 돈을 벌기 위해 몸부림치며 악착같이 일합니다. 그러나 하나님은 “이것도 헛되어 바람을 잡는 것”이라고 말씀하십니다.

그러나 하나님은 의인에게 지혜와 지식과 기쁨을 주십니다. 부요에 대한 지혜를 주십니다. 지혜는 당신에게 재물 얻을 능력을 주며, 이는 근심이 없는 부입니다. 오늘의 본문 구절에 나오는 “얻다”라는 단어는 히브리어로 “아사(asah)”로서, 부를 생산하거나 창조하거나 만드는 능력을 의미합니다. 이는 부를 만들어 낼 능력이 있다는 뜻입니다. 죄인들이 축적한 부와 성령의 능력으로 얻은 부에는 차이가 있습니다. 그러므로 많은 돈을 가진 것처럼 보이는 믿지 않는 자들을 부러워해서는 안됩니다. 당신은 부를 만드는 능력인 하나님의 지혜를 사용할 수 있고 그 지혜가 당신을 진정한 번영으로 이끌기 때문입니다.

지혜를 의식하십시오. 고린도전서 1:30은 예수님이 당신에게 지혜가 되셨다고 말합니다. 지혜를 사랑하고 받아들이십시오. 그러면 그분이 당신에게 사업과 당신의 자원을 늘리기 위해 해야 할 일들을 보여주실 것입니다. 갑자기 당신에게 어떤 생각들이 올 것이고, 그 생각은 이 세상의 경제를 이기는 생각입니다. 당신의 영 깊은 곳에 있는 하나님의 지혜로부터 나온 생각이기 때문입니다.

성경은 말합니다. “지혜가 루비보다 나으니 원하는 모든 것들이 그것에 비교될 수 없느니라. 나 지혜는 신중함과 함께 거하며 창의적 지식을 찾아 내느니라. 부귀와 명예가 나와 함께 있으니 정녕 지속되는 부와 의도 그러하니라. 나의 열매는 금보다 더 좋으니 정녕 정금보다 더 나으며 나의 소산은 순은보다 더 나으니라. 나는 의의 길과 공의의 길 한가운데로 인도하나니 이는 나를 사랑하는 자들로 재산을 상속받게 하여 내가 그들의 창고를 가득 채워 주려는 것이라.”(잠 8:11-12, 18-21 한글킹제임스) 하나님을 송축합니다!

기도
사랑하는 주님, 부요하게 하는 지혜와 힘과 능력을 주셔서 감사드립니다. 주님께서는 나를 항상 번영, 위대함, 건강, 성공, 영원한 승리 가운데 신성하게 살도록 하셨습니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

WISDOM FOR WEALTH

But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth… (Deuteronomy 8:18).

Ecclesiastes 2:26 (GNB) says, “God gives wisdom, knowledge, and happiness to those who please him, but he makes sinners work, earning and saving, so that what they get can be given to those who please him. It is all useless. It is like chasing the wind.” This is the description of the so-called prosperity of the heathen; he’s nose-to-the-grindstone, struggling and toiling to make more money; but God says, “It’s all useless. It’s like chasing the wind.”

However, to the righteous, He gives wisdom, knowledge and joy; wisdom for wealth. Wisdom gives you the power to get wealth; wealth without travail. The word, “get” in our theme verse is the Hebrew, “asah” and it means power to produce, create, or make wealth. That means there’s power to do it. There’s a difference between the wealth made by sinners and the wealth produced through the power of God’s Spirit. It’s the reason you should never be envious of nonChristians who seem to have lots of money, because the wisdom of God—the power for wealth—is available to you and guides you in true prosperity.

Become wisdom-conscious. 1 Corinthians 1:30 says Christ has been made unto you wisdom. Love and embrace wisdom, and He’ll show you visions of the businesses and things you should do to multiply your resources. Suddenly, you’d find that the thoughts that come to you are thoughts that beat the economics and economies of this world, because they emanate from the active wisdom of God deep within your spirit.

That’s what the Bible says: “For wisdom is better than rubies; and all the things that may be desired are not to be compared to it. I wisdom dwell with prudence, and find out knowledge of witty inventions. Riches and honour are with me; yea, durable riches and righteousness. My fruit is better than gold, yea, than fine gold; and my revenue than choice silver. I lead in the way of righteousness, in the midst of the paths of judgment: That I may cause those that love me to inherit substance; and I will fill their treasures” (Proverbs 8:11-12; 18-21). Blessed be God!

PRAYER
Dear Lord, thank you for granting me the wisdom, power and ability to make wealth. You’ve divinely enabled me to walk in prosperity, greatness, health, success, and victory forevermore, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

“제자들이 나가 두루 전파할새 주께서 함께 역사하사 그 따르는 표적으로 말씀을 확실히 증언하시니라”(막 16:20)

복음에 열정적으로 참여하여 자기의 모든 것을 쏟다가 어떤 시점이 되면 여러 이유로 낙담하게 되는 사람들이 있습니다. 어떤 사람들은 완전히 포기하기도 합니다. 이는 예수님의 제자들을 생각나게 합니다. 그들은 예수님을 따르기 위해 자신의 사업과 직장을 포함한 모든 것을 버렸고, 주님과 함께 여러 곳을 다니며 복음을 전했습니다. 그 후 예수님께서는 십자가에 못 박히시고 장사 되셨습니다! 그분이 부활했음에도 불구하고 그들은 예전처럼 그분을 매일 볼 수 없었습니다.

오늘날 우리도 마찬가지입니다. 우리는 혼자 일하지 않습니다. 그러므로 절대 낙담하지 마십시오. 주님이 당신과 함께, 당신 안에서, 당신을 통해 일하신다는 것을 앎으로 복음을 전파하는 일에 열정을 유지하십시오. 주님의 이름에 영원히 영광 돌립니다!

HE’S WORKING WITH US

And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen (Mark 16:20).

There have been those who were once actively involved in the Gospel, putting in everything they’ve got, but at some point, they started feeling discouraged, for one reason or the other. Some gave up altogether. It reminds of a similar case with Jesus’ disciples. They left everything, including their businesses and careers, to follow Jesus. They were having the time of their lives, going everywhere with the Master, preaching the Gospel. Then Jesus was crucified and buried! Though He resurrected, they didn’t see Him every day as they used to.

With time, their zeal began to dissipate. They thought it was all over. Some went back to their businesses, including Peter, the great Apostle. The Bible says, “Simon Peter saith unto them, I go a fishing. They say unto him, We also go with thee…” (John 21:3). But guess what? Jesus showed up on the shore one day, and after He had performed another miraculous sign, He said, “…Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my sheep” (John 21:16). In other words, He was saying to Peter, “Leave these other things; go and do what I sent you to do.” But first, they were to receive the Holy Spirit, who would enable them.

Afterward, they became more vibrant, preaching the Gospel, because it became clear to them that the Master was more with them now through the Holy Spirit than ever before: He was in them. Our theme verse says, “And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.”

It’s the same with us today; we’re not working alone. So, never be discouraged; remain passionate in preaching the Gospel, knowing that the Lord Himself is working with, in, and through you. Glory to His Name forever.

CONFESSION
I thank Christ Jesus my Lord, who has enabled me, counting me faithful in the ministry of reconciliation. I’m fortified with increased grace to proclaim the Gospel everywhere, with miracles, signs and wonders, by the power of the Holy Spirit who lives in me. Hallelujah!

저는 고등학교 때 500여 명의 다른 학교 학생들에게 사역을 했습니다. 그들 앞에 서서 “성령을 받기 원하는 사람이 있습니까?”라고 물었습니다. 모든 사람이 손을 들었습니다. 그래서 저는 “좋습니다, 예수 이름으로 성령을 받으십시오!”라고 말했습니다. 저는 기다렸지만, 아무 일도 일어나지 않았습니다. 저는 다시 기도하고 또 기다렸습니다. 그러나 아무 일도 일어나지 않았습니다. 그때 저는 정확하게 어떤 행동을 해야 할지를 주님으로부터 알아야 했습니다. 그래서 저는 모든 사람에게 기도하라고 말했고, 그들이 기도할 때 저 역시도 주님께 조언을 구했습니다.

제가 말했습니다. “주님, 저는 그들이 성령을 받도록 기도했는데 아무 일도 일어나지 않았습니다. 제가 어떻게 해야 하나요?” 그러자 주님께서 곧바로 저에게 말씀해 주셨습니다. “다시 기도하고 너와 가장 가까이 있는 사람에게 손을 얹어라.” 그래서 저는 “감사합니다, 주님.”이라고 말하자 마자 저에게서 가장 가까이 서 있던 사람에게 손을 얹으러 갔습니다. 즉시 모든 회중이 능력 아래서 성령으로 충만해졌고, 사방에서 모두 방언으로 말하기 시작했습니다!

이 경험으로 얻은 교훈은 하나님의 능력은 방향을 가지고 있다는 것입니다. 오늘의 본문 구절에서 읽은 것처럼 하나님은 모세에게 “손을 바다 위로 내밀라고” 말씀하셨습니다. 왜 그렇습니까? 하나님의 능력은 방향성이 있기 때문입니다. 또한 베드로와 요한이 미문이라 불리는 성전 문 앞에 있던 남자에게 사역할 때, 성경은 베드로가 그 남자에게 시선을 고정했다고 말합니다(행 3:4). 그는 하나님의 능력이 그 남자에게 향하도록 했습니다. 그리고 기적이 일어났습니다.

당신이 특정한 방향으로 손을 뻗어야 할 때 혹은 하나님의 사람이 기도 중에 당신을 향해 손을 뻗을 때, 이를 절대 가볍게 여기지 마십시오. 우리의 손은 특별합니다. 우리가 국가나 도시, 사람들, 심지어 상황이나 환경들에 손을 뻗을 때 우리에게서 미사일처럼 신성한 능력이 풍성하게 뻗어 나옵니다. 만약 이것이 어떤 사람을 향한다면 그 사람에게 특별한 은혜 혹은 치유나 그 당시에 우리가 전달하는 축복이 임합니다. 하나님을 찬양합니다!

기도
사랑하는 하늘 아버지, 내 안에서 그리고 나를 통해 강하게 역사하고 있는 당신의 능력에 감사드립니다. 괴로움과 고통을 겪고 있는 전 세계의 당신의 자녀들이 성령의 능력으로 구출되도록 기도합니다. 기적에 대한 그들의 믿음을 강건하게 하기 위해 당신의 능력은 지금도 그들에게 전달되고 있습니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

GOD’S POWER IS DIRECTIONAL

But lift thou up thy rod, and stretch out thine hand over the sea, and divide it: and the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea (Exodus 14:16).

Once, while still a young secondary school student, I was ministering at another school to some 500 young people. Standing in front of them, I said, “How many of you want to receive the Holy Spirit?” Everybody’s hand went up. So, I said, “Alright, in the Name of Jesus, receive the Holy Spirit!” I waited, but nothing happened. I prayed again and I waited; yet, nothing happened. At this time, I needed to know from the Lord, what exactly I was supposed to do. So, I asked everyone to talk to the Lord in prayer, and while they were at it, I too was consulting with the Lord.

I said, “Lord, I just prayed that they receive the Holy Spirit, and nothing has happened. What am I supposed to do?” Then, very quickly, He said to me, “Pray again, and touch the person closest to you”; and I said, “Thank you, Lord!” Then I calmed the congregation, and said, “Receive the Holy Ghost!” and went ahead to touch the person closest to me. Straightaway, the entire hall of young people went under the power, and were filled with the Holy Spirit, speaking in tongues everywhere!

Here’s the lesson from that experience: God’s power is directional. As read in our theme verse, God said to Moses, “…stretch out thine hand over the sea….” Why? It’s because the power of God can be directed. Also, when Peter and John ministered to the man at the gate of the temple called Beautiful, the Bible says Peter set his gaze on the man (Acts 3:4); he directed the power of God at him, and a miracle ensued.

Whenever you’re required to stretch your hands in a certain direction or God’s people stretch their hands towards you in prayer, never take it lightly. There’s something about our hands. When we stretch our hands towards nations, cities, people or even situations and circumstances, there’s a profuse effusion of divine power, emitting from us like missiles. If it’s towards an individual, there’s an impartation of special grace, healing or whatever blessing we’re imparting at the time. Praise God!

EXCEL IN THE GRACE OF GIVING

“여러분은 믿음이나 말에 있어서만 아니라, 지식이나 간절한 마음에서, 그리고 우리를 향한 사랑 등 모든 면에서 뛰어납니다. 그러니 여러분은 이 헌금하는 일에 있어서도 뛰어나게 하시기를 바랍니다”(고후 8:7, 쉬운성경)

모든 그리스도인은 하나님의 사역에 열정을 가지고 그들이 가지고 있는 자원을 전 세계에 복음을 전파하는 일에 투입해야 합니다. 그러나 그런 일에 있어서 남들보다 더 열정적인 사람들이 있습니다. 그들이 바로 오늘의 본문 구절에서 바울이 언급한 사람들입니다. 그들은 주는 것에 대한 은혜가 뛰어난 사람들입니다.

주는 것은 은혜입니다. 성경에 기록된 영적 은사들 중 하나입니다. 주는 것이 영적인 이유는 그 능력을 주신 분이 하나님이시기 때문입니다. 로마서 12:6-8은 말합니다. “우리에게 주신 은혜대로 받은 은사가 각각 다르니 혹 예언이면 믿음의 분수대로… 구제하는 자는 성실함으로…” 기억하십시오. 성령을 받았다면, 우리 모두는 예언을 할 것이라고 말씀하셨습니다. “하나님이 말씀하시기를 말세에 내가 내 영을 모든 육체에 부어 주리니 너희의 자녀들은 예언할 것이요…”(행 2:17) 그러나 성령께서 모든 사람들이 예언하고 비전을 보도록 하셨음에도 불구하고, 성경은 “…어떤 사람에게는 예언함을 주시나니…”(고전 12:10)라고 말합니다.

이와 같이 모든 사람들이 줄 수 있지만, 주는 은혜 역시 선물입니다. 성경은 “너희는 최상의 은사들을 열망하라”(고전 12:31)고 말합니다. 그러므로 주는 은혜를 열망하고 갈망하는 것은 좋은 것입니다. 하나님의 모든 선물은 당신이 훈련할수록 더욱 탁월해집니다. 그러므로 당신의 최고를 주는 연습을 하십시오. 그러면 성령의 수많은 축복들과 전진이 함께 따라올 것입니다. 하나님을 찬양합니다!

기도
귀하신 아버지, 지금 이 순간에도 아버지의 말씀을 깨닫게 해주셔서 감사드립니다. 나에게 모든 은혜와 호의와 세상의 축복을 넘치게 하시니 감사합니다. 그러므로 나는 항상 모든 상황에서 모든 필요를 자급자족하며, 모든 선한 일을 하기에 어떤 지원이나 도움이 필요하지 않을 정도로 충분히 소유하고 있습니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

EXCEL IN THE GRACE OF GIVING

But just as you excel in everything-in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in complete earnestness and in your love for us–see that you also excel in this grace of giving (2 Corinthians 8:7 NIV).

Every Christian is supposed to be passionate about God’s work, and put their resources into the push and spread of the Gospel around the world. But there’re usually those who are more passionate than others. They’re the ones Paul referred to in our theme scripture: they excel in the grace of giving.

Giving is a grace; it’s one of the spiritual gifts in the Bible. What makes it spiritual is that it’s God who gives the ability. Romans 12:6-8 says, “Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith…he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity….” Remember, He already said that upon receiving the Holy Spirit, we would all prophesy: “And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy…” (Acts 2:17). However, the Word also says, “…to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom” (1 Corinthians 12:8), even though the Holy Ghost enables everyone to prophesy and to see visions.

In the same way, everyone is enabled to give, but the grace of giving is also a gift. And the Bible says, “… earnestly covet the best gifts…” (1 Corinthians 12:31). So, it’s okay to covet and desire to excel in the grace of giving. In every gift of God, you get better by practice. So, practise giving your best; it comes with its myriads of blessings and promotions of the Spirit. Praise God!

PRAYER
Precious Father, I thank you for the understanding of your Word granted me even now; thank you for making all grace—every favour and earthly blessing— come to me in abundance, so that I may always and under all circumstances and whatever the need, be self-sufficient, possessing enough to require no aid or support, furnished in abundance, for every good work, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

TESTIFY OF HIS GOODNESS

“여자가 스스로 숨기지 못할 줄 알고 떨며 나아와 엎드리어 그 손 댄 이유와 곧 나은 것을 모든 사람 앞에서 말하니”(눅 8:47)

하나님은 우리가 항상 그분의 선하심을 증거하기를 원하십니다. 하나님이 당신의 삶 가운데 행하신 일들을 증거할 때, 당신은 앞으로 하나님이 행하실 더 위대한 일들에 자신을 연결시키게 됩니다. 예를 들어, 오늘 우리가 읽은 누가복음 8장에서 혈루병 앓는 여인은 주님의 옷자락을 만졌습니다. 성경은 “여인은 병에서 치유 받았음을 느꼈다”고 말합니다.

그녀는 치유를 받고 나서 몰래 사라지려고 했지만, 예수님께서 “내게 손을 댄 자가 있도다 이는 내게서 능력이 나간 줄 앎이로다”(눅 8:46)라고 말씀하셨습니다. 그러자 그녀는 앞으로 나왔습니다. “자기가 무슨 연고로 주를 만졌으며 또 어떻게 해서 즉시 치유되었는가를 모든 사람들 앞에서 주께 밝히니라”(눅 8:47, 한글킹제임스) 예수님은 왜 가만히 계시지 않고 그녀가 간증하고 떠나도록 하셨습니까? 당신의 간증으로 인해 하나님께서 당신에게 주신 것들을 유지하게 되기 때문입니다.

그녀는 치유 받은 직후나 집으로 가는 길에 기적을 잃을 수도 있었습니다. 그러나 예수님은 그녀가 그 기적을 유지하기 원하셨습니다. 고백을 통해 기적을 소유하게 되기 때문입니다. 하나님이 당신에게 무언가를 주셨다면, 그것을 유지하는 방법은 받은 것에 대해 말하는 것입니다. 이는 하나님의 말씀의 원리입니다. 우리는 또 다른 예를 예수님이 거라사인의 땅에서 귀신들린 사람을 치유해 주신 것을 통해 확인할 수 있습니다. “귀신이 나간 그 사람이 예수와 함께 있게 해 달라고 애원하였으나…”(눅 8:38, 새번역) 그러나 예수님은 그에게 “네 집으로 돌아가서 하나님께서 네게 하신 일을 다 이야기하여라”라고 말씀하셨습니다. 성경은 이어서 말합니다. “그 사람이 떠나가서, 예수께서 자기에게 하신 일을 낱낱이 온 읍내에 알렸다.”(눅 8:39, 새번역)

TESTIFY OF HIS GOODNESS

And when the woman saw that she was not hid, she came trembling, and falling down before him, she declared unto him before all the people for what cause she had touched him, and how she was healed immediately (Luke 8:47).

God always wants us to testify of His goodness. When you testify of what God has done in your life, you’re connecting yourself to greater works of God for your future. Think about what we read in Luke 8 of the woman with the issue of blood who touched the hem of the Master’s garment! The Bible tells us “…she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague” (Mark 5:29).

After she received her healing, she was going to sneak away, but Jesus said, “Somebody hath touched me: for I perceive that virtue is gone out of me” (Luke 8:46). Then she came out of her hiding and “…declared unto him before all the people for what cause she had touched him, and how she was healed immediately.” Why didn’t Jesus keep quiet and let her go without testifying? It’s because, through your testimony, you preserve what God gives to you.

She could have lost her miracle on her way home, or shortly afterwards; but Jesus wanted her to retain the miracle, because confession brings possession. When God does something for you, the way to keep it is to tell it; that’s the principle of the Word of God. We see another example when Jesus healed the demon-possessed man at Gadara. The Bible says, “The man from whom the demons had gone out begged to go with him…” (Luke 8:38 NIV). But Jesus urged him saying, “Return home and tell how much God has done for you. So the man went away and told all over town how much Jesus had done for him” (Luke 8:39 NIV).

Always testify to what the Lord has done and is doing in your life, your church, ministry, your family and in the lives of those around you. Testify to yourself. Testify to the angels. Testify everywhere you go! The Psalmist says, “One generation shall praise thy works to another, and shall declare thy mighty acts. I will speak of the glorious honour of thy majesty, and of thy wondrous works” (Psalm 145:4-5). Declare the Lord’s goodness—His glorious works in your job, business, and finances. Hallelujah!

CONFESSION
The Lord has been gracious and kind to me; I’ll speak of His goodness and His miraculous signs and wonders in my life! I testify of His mighty hand on my job, business, finances, and every area of my life! I’ll shout it on the mountaintop, and sing His praises everywhere, for the Lord is good, and I’ll never be quiet about it. Hallelujah!

때때로 저는 예수님께서 이 땅에 계셨을 때 그분과 함께 있었더라면 어땠을지 상상하곤 합니다. 예수님은 어떤 분이셨습니까? 요한은 예수님이 은혜로 충만한 분이었다고 말했습니다. 당신이 예수님께 나아왔을 때 찾아 헤매던 여정은 끝이 났습니다. 예수님께로 왔을 때 당신은 집에 도착한 것이고 아무 곳으로도 떠나고 싶지 않았습니다. 이는 예수님을 따르며 “주님, 어디에 거하시니이까?”(요 1:38)라고 물었던 요한의 두 제자를 생각나게 합니다. 그들은 집까지 그분을 따라갔고, 집에 돌아가기 너무 늦은 시간이 될 때까지 저녁 내내 그분의 말씀을 들었습니다. 그들은 밤새 그분과 함께 있었습니다. 성경은 그들이 요한에게 다시 돌아가지 않았다고 구체적으로 기록하고 있습니다.

당신이 예수님께로 왔다면 당신은 집에 이른 것입니다. 있어야 할 곳에 도착한 것이고 충족된 것입니다! 하나님께 영광 드립니다! 예수님은 특별한 분입니다. 그분은 평안이 사람의 모습으로 표현된 분입니다. 그분은 온전한 사랑입니다. 그분은 형용할 수 없는 기쁨입니다. 그분은 생명의 전형입니다! 그분 안에서 당신은 평안을 찾습니다. 마태복음 11:28에서 주님께서 말씀하셨습니다. “수고하고 무거운 짐 진 자들아 다 내게로 오라 내가 너희를 쉬게 하리라” 고군분투를 멈추십시오. 두려워하지 마십시오. 당신의 눈을 예수님께 고정하십시오. 당신 안에, 당신과 함께, 당신 주위에 있는 그분의 신성한 임재가 모든 삶의 위기와 도전에 대한 당신의 무기입니다.

그러므로 당신 안에 있는 그리스도를 찬양하십시오. 당신 안에 있는 그분의 생명과, 당신과 그분의 하나됨을 찬양하십시오. 그분을 넘치게 사랑하고, 그분의 말씀에 대한 당신의 헌신으로 그 사랑을 증명하십시오. 예수님은 이렇게 말씀하셨습니다. “너희가 나를 사랑하면 나의 계명을 지키리라”(요 14:15) 그분을 향한 당신의 사랑을 증명하는 방법은 그분의 말씀을 따라 행하는 것입니다. 당신이 말씀을 행할 때 그분은 당신이 삶의 모든 문제를 순조롭게 통과하게 하실 것입니다.

고백
사랑하는 주님, 삶의 위기와 도전들을 이기게 하는 당신의 사랑과 신성한 임재에 감사드립니다. 나에게 풍성하게 부어진 당신의 사랑으로 인해 나는 승리하는 삶을 살고, 고군분투하거나 두려워하거나 혼란스럽기를 거절합니다. 당신의 말씀이 나의 생명이기 때문에 나는 당신의 말씀을 행하기로 결단합니다. 아멘.

AT HOME IN CHRIST

And the Word was made (became) flesh,and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth (John 1:14).

Sometimes, I try to imagine what it was like being with Jesus when He walked the earth. What was Jesus like? John says He was full of grace and reality. When you came to Jesus, your search ended. When you came to Jesus, you arrived; you were home; you didn’t want to go anywhere else. It brings to mind the two disciples of John the Baptist who came to Jesus and asked, “Master, where do you live?” (John 1:38), and they followed Him home, listened to Him all evening until it became too late for them to leave. They stayed with Him through the night and the Bible specifically records that they never went back to John.

When you come to Jesus, you’re at home; you’re fulfilled! Glory to God! There’s just something extraordinary about Him. He’s peace personified. He’s love untainted. He’s joy indescribable. He’s the embodiment of life! In Him, you find rest. He said in Matthew 11:28, “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” Quit the struggle. Stop the fear. Fix your gaze on Jesus. His divine presence in you, with you, and around you is your advantage over the crises and challenges of life.

Therefore, celebrate Christ in you. Celebrate His life in you and your oneness with Him. Love Him lavishly and prove it by your commitment to His Word. He said, “If ye love me, keep my commandments” (John 14:15). The proof of your love for Him is acting on His Word; that way, He’ll cause you to sail through life’s troubles triumphantly.

PRAYER
Dear Lord, I thank you for your love and divine presence which gives me the advantage over crises and the challenges of life. I sail through life triumphantly, and I refuse to struggle, fear or be perturbed, for your liquid love has been poured out on me lavishly. Therefore, I’m committed and determined to do your Word, because your Word is my life. Amen.

성경을 공부할 때 당신은 예수님이 진정 어떤 분이신지를 발견하는데 열중하게 될 것입니다. 예수님은 이 땅에 계셨을 때 다른 사람들처럼 평범하게 보였지만, 그분은 하나님이셨습니다. 예수님은 불타는 가시덤불에서 모세에게 말씀하시던 하나님이셨습니다. 그분은 아브라함을 하란에서 불러내어 “나는 전능한 하나님이라 너는 내 앞에서 행하여 완전하라”(창 17:1)고 말씀하신 분입니다. 그분은 여호수아 앞에서 “네가 선 곳은 거룩한 땅이니 네 발에서 신을 벗으라”(출 3:5)고 말씀하신 분입니다

예수님은 인간의 몸을 입고 오신 하나님이셨습니다. 그러나 사람들은 몰랐습니다. 당신은 “그분이 하나님 자신이라면 왜 하나님의 아들이라고 불립니까?”라고 물을 수도 있습니다. 많은 사람들이 이런 질문을 하는 이유는 그들이 “하나님의 아들”이라는 표현의 진정한 의미를 이해하지 못하기 때문입니다. “하나님의 아들”이란 표현은 하나님에게서 태어났다는 의미보다는, 인간의 몸의 형태로 거하시는 하나님이라는 뜻입니다. 예수님은 주님이시며 하나님이십니다.

그분은 모세에게 “내가 아브라함과 이삭과 야곱에게 전능의 하나님으로 나타났으나 나의 이름을 여호와로는 그들에게 알리지 아니하였고”(출 6:3)라고 말씀하신 분입니다. 여호와는 야훼입니다. 그래서 유대인들이 예수 그리스도를 받아들이기 어려워하는 것입니다. 성경에서 예수님에 대해 적힌 모든 사실과 그분이 자신에 관해 말씀하신 바들이 예수님이 하나님(Adonai)라는 것을 보여주기 때문입니다. 이제 당신은 예수 이름에 모든 능력이 있는 이유를 이해할 수 있습니다.

생각해보십시오. 갈릴리의 그 평범한 사람은 이스라엘 거리를 걸어 다니는 전능하신 하나님이셨지만 사람들은 그분을 죽이는 시점까지도 그것을 알지 못했습니다. 성경은 말합니다. “그가 세상에 계셨으며 세상은 그로 말미암아 지은 바 되었으되 세상이 그를 알지 못하였고 자기 땅에 오매 자기 백성이 영접하지 아니하였으나”(요 1:10-11) 여기서 말하는 그가 누구입니까? 성육신하신 말씀 곧 예수님입니다! 사도 바울은 그분 안에는 신성의 모든 충만함이 몸의 형태로 거하신다고 말합니다(골 2:9). 할렐루야!

기도
사랑하는 주 예수님, 예수님의 특성에 대해 깨닫게 해주셔서 감사드립니다. 당신은 신성의 완전한 나타남입니다! 그러므로 나는 오늘 그리고 항상 당신의 신성과 주되심과 다스림을 찬양합니다. 당신은 가장 높으신 하나님이시며, 왕의 왕이시고, 주의 주이십니다. 오직 당신만이 모든 찬양과 경배를 받기에 합당하십니다. 아멘.

JESUS IS “ADONAI”

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men (John 1:1-4).

As you study the Bible, you’ll be enthused to discover who Jesus truly is. When He walked the earth, He looked as ordinary as everybody else, yet He was Himself God. Jesus was the God that spoke to Moses in the burning bush. He was the One that called Abraham out of Haran and said, “Walk before me, and be thou perfect; I am the Almight God” (Genesis 17:1). He was the One that stood before Moses and said, “Take your shoes off your feet for where you are standing is holy” (Exodus 3:5).

Jesus was God in a human body, but the people didn’t know. You might then ask, “Why is He called the Son of God if He’s Himself, God?” Many ask that question because they don’t understand the true meaning of the expression, “Son of God.” “Son of God” doesn’t mean one that’s born of God; rather, it means God in a human body. Jesus is Adonai; the Lord, God. He was the One that said to Moses, “Your fathers Abraham, Isaac and Jacob knew me as El Shaddai, but I’m Jehovah” (Exodus 6:3). Jehovah is Yahweh. This is why the Jewish people had difficulty accepting Jesus Christ ordinarily, because everything written about Jesus in the Scriptures and the things He said of Himself, show that He is Adonai. Now you can understand why His Name has all power.

Think about it: that seemingly ordinary man of Galilee was actually God Almighty, walking the streets of Israel, but they didn’t know it, to the point they even killed Him. John says, “He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. He came unto his own; and his own received him not” (John 1:10-11). Who is he talking about here? Jesus, the incarnate Word! The Apostle Paul tells us that in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead, bodily (Colossians 2:9). Hallelujah!

PRAYER
Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for the revelation of your personality. You’re the complete embodiment of Deity! Therefore, today and always, I celebrate your divinity, your Lordship and rulership over my life. You’re the Most High God, the King of kings and Lord of lords, and you alone are worthy of all praise, worship and adoration. Amen.
