하나님의 자비와 은혜의 날
THE DAY OF HIS MERCY AND GRACE
“…긍휼은 심판을 이기고 자랑하느니라”(약2:13)
누군가는 오늘날 세상의 악, 사악함, 속임수, 고통, 잔인함을 보고 그것이 하나님의 죄에 대한 심판의 결과라고 생각할지도 모릅니다. 하지만 그것은 모두 사실이 아닙니다. 우리는 하나님의 자비와 은혜의 날에 살고 있습니다. 우리는 새로운 언약 안에 살고 있으므로 구약시대와 오늘날은 다릅니다.
오늘날 세상에서 일어나는 악한 일은 하나님의 심판이 아닙니다. 그것은 사탄이 세상에 행한 일들의 집합체입니다. 당신은 성령과 말씀을 통해 이를 쉽게 분별할 수 있습니다. 이러한 이유로 하나님께서는 우리가 사탄에게 명령함으로 이 세상과 사람들의 삶에서 사탄의 영향력을 끊어 내기를 바라십니다.
죄는 존재하지만 예수님께서 이미 모든 사람을 대신하여 죄의 값을 치르셨습니다. 성경은 말합니다. “그러므로 이제 그리스도 예수 안에 있는 자에게는 결코 정죄함이 없나니”(롬8:1) 여기서 “정죄함”이라고 번역된 단어는 심판과 동일한 뜻입니다. 예수님께서 우리를 대신하여 심판을 받으심은 우리 만이 아닌 온 세상을 위한 것이었습니다. 요한일서 2:2은 말합니다. “그는 우리 죄를 위한 화목 제물이니 우리만 위할 뿐 아니요 온 세상의 죄를 위하심이라”
사탄은 사람들로 하여금 하나님께서 그들에게 화가 났고, 그들을 벌하기 원하며, 따라서 그들을 고통스럽게 한다고 믿길 바랍니다. 하지만 모든 배후에는 하나님이 아닌 사탄이 있습니다. 그러므로 우리의 임무는 하나님께서 세상에 화가 나 있지 않으시다는 것을 알려주는 것입니다. 오히려 하나님은 그리스도 예수 안에서 의와 영생을 값없이 주셨고 그들을 자유케 했다는 소식을 전하는 것입니다(고후5:19).
히브리서 4:16은 말합니다. “그러므로 우리는 긍휼하심을 받고 때를 따라 돕는 은혜를 얻기 위하여 은혜의 보좌 앞에 담대히 나아갈 것이니라” 또한 예레미야애가 3:22은 말합니다.”여호와의 인자와 긍휼이 무궁하시므로 우리가 진멸되지 아니함이니이다.” 우리는 그분의 넘치는 은혜와 자비의 시대에 살고 있습니다.
기도
사랑하는 아버지, 나는 오늘 당신의 영광을 나타내고 이 땅에서 당신의 뜻과 의를 세웁니다. 나는 영혼을 구원하고 사람들을 어둠에서 당신의 놀라운 빛으로 인도합니다. 나는 당신의 사랑을 모든 곳에 퍼뜨립니다. 사람들을 회개하게 하는 당신의 넘치는 은혜와 자비와 선하심에 감사드립니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘!

“…Mercy triumphs over judgment!”(James 2:13 NIV).
Someone might see the evil, wickedness, deception, suffering and cruelty in the world today and conclude they’re as a result of God’s judgement, due to sin. But that’s not entirely true. We’re in the day of God’s mercy and His grace; we’re in a new dispensation, so it’s different today from how it was in the Old Testament.
The evil happenings in the world today aren’t judgments from God; rather, they’re actions and orchestrations of Satan upon the world. You can easily discern this by the Spirit and through the Word. It’s the reason God expects us to respond by addressing Satan, cutting off his influence from our world and from men’s lives.
There’s sin, but Jesus already paid the price for sin on behalf of all men. The Bible says, “There is therefore now no condemnation to them who are in Christ Jesus” (Romans 8:1). The word translated “condemnation” is the same as judgment. Jesus was judged in our place, and not just for us, but for the whole world. The Bible says, “And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world” (1 John 2:2).
Satan wants to make people believe that God is mad at them, punishing them, inflicting them with pain, whereas God isn’t the one behind it, but Satan. Our job, therefore, is to let the world know that God isn’t mad at them; rather, He’s made righteousness and eternal life available and free in Christ Jesus (2 Corinthians 5:19).
The Bible says, “Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need” (Hebrews 4:16). Lamentations 3:22 says, “It is of the LORD’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.” We’re in the dispensation of His overflowing grace and mercy. Blessed be God!
PRAYER
Dear Father, I manifest your glory and establish your will and righteousness in the earth today, winning souls, and bringing men out of darkness into your marvellous light. I spread your love everywhere; thank you for your overflowing grace, mercy and goodness that brings men to repentance, in Jesus’ Name. Amen!
