주님께서 조만간 돌아오실 것을 기대하는 자들
Expectant Of His Soon Return
“…너희 가운데서 하늘로 올려지신 이 예수는 하늘로 가심을 본 그대로 오시리라 하였느니라”(행 1:10-11)
이 부분에 대해서 착오가 없기를 바랍니다. 주님께서 돌아오시는 시기는 많은 이들이 인식하는 것보다 더 가까이 있습니다. 주님이 다시 오시지 않을 것이라고 말하는 자들에게 속지 마십시오. 성경은 주님이 돌아오시는 중에 교회의 휴거가 일어날 것이라 이미 증언했습니다. 그리고 휴거가 일어날 때 오직 주님을 기대하는 자들만이 하늘로 들려 올라갈 것입니다.
그렇다면 당신은 주님을 기대하고 있습니까? 당신은 날마다 사는 방식으로 말할 수 있습니다. 어떤 이들은 무아지경에 빠지듯이 휴거가 느닷없이 일어나 사람들을 데려갈 것이라 믿습니다. 아닙니다! 교회의 휴거는 믿음으로 이루어질 것입니다. 때가 되면 휴거되는 것은 당신의 믿음의 행동이 될 것입니다. 그 의미는 나팔 소리를 들을 때 당신이 당신의 믿음을 작동시켜야 한다는 뜻입니다! 히브리서 11:5은 말씀합니다. “믿음으로 에녹은 죽음을 보지 않고 옮겨졌으니 하나님이 그를 옮기심으로 다시 보이지 아니하였느니라…”
어떤 사람들은 나팔 소리를 들을 때 두려움에 휩싸일 것입니다. 그리고 그 두려움은 그를 떠나지 못하게 할 것입니다. 그 이유는 그들이 주님을 기대하고 있지 않기 때문입니다. 성경은 말씀합니다. “…구원에 이르게 하기 위하여 죄와 상관없이 자기를 바라는 자들에게 두 번째 나타나시리라”(히 9:28) 기대해야 합니다. 그래서 같은 이유로 바울은 “그러므로 내 사랑하는 형제들아 견실하며 흔들리지 말고 항상 주의 일에 더욱 힘쓰는 자들이 되라…”(고전 15:58)라고 말했던 것입니다.
주님을 위해 살고 그분의 일을 행하며 의의 열매를 맺어왔다면, 당신은 행복합니다! 하지만 그렇지 않다면, 지금이 바로 바꿀 때입니다. 그러면 주님이 오실 때 당신은 그분의 임재 앞에서 당당할 것입니다! 당신의 믿음이 활성화될 것이므로 당신은 주님과 영원히 함께 있고자 들려 올라가게 될 것입니다! “주께서 호령과 천사장의 소리와 하나님의 나팔 소리로 친히 하늘로부터 강림하시리니 그리스도 안에서 죽은 자들이 먼저 일어나고 그 후에 우리 살아남은 자들도 그들과 함께 구름 속으로 끌어 올려 공중에서 주를 영접하게 하시리니 그리하여 우리가 항상 주와 함께 있으리라”(살전 4:16-17) 할렐루야!
기도
저는 주님께서 조만간 오실 것을 기다리면서 의의 열매를 맺고 저의 세상에 있는 사람들의 삶에 의미를 줍니다. 저의 믿음은 효과적이고 효력이 있어서 주님의 이름을 영화롭게 하는데 필요한 결과를 냅니다. 아멘.

EXPECTANT OF HIS SOON RETURN
…this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven (Acts 1:10-11).
Make no mistakes about it, the Lord’s return is closer than many realise. Don’t be deceived by those who say He’s not coming again; the Scriptures already testified of His return, during which the rapture of the Church will take place. And at the rapture, only those expecting Him would be taken to heaven.
So, are you expecting Him? You can tell from the way you live your life every day. Some believe the rapture is going to take people by surprise, like they’ll be swept off their feet; no! The rapture of the Church is going to be by faith. It’ll be an act of your faith to be raptured when it’s time. That means when you hear the trumpet, you must put your faith to work and go! Hebrews 11:5 says, “By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him….”
Some people will be struck with fear when they hear the trumpet, and fear won’t let them leave. This is because they weren’t expecting Him. The Bible says, “…and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation” (Hebrews 9:28). There has to be an expectation. It’s for the same reason that Paul said, “Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord…” (1 Corinthians 15:58).
If you’ve been living for Him, doing His works and bearing fruits of righteousness, happy are you! But if you haven’t, it’s time to make a change, so that when He comes, you’ll be bold in His presence! Your faith will be activated and you’ll be amongst those that’ll be caught up to be with Him forever! “For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord” (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17). Hallelujah!
CONFESSION
I’m bearing fruits of righteousness, giving the lives of men and women in my world a meaning, as I await the soon return of the Master. My faith is effective and effectual, producing required results to the glory of His Name. Amen.
