우리는 하나님의 길을 압니다

WE KNOW HIS WAYS

“대답하여 이르시되 천국의 비밀을 아는 것이 너희에게는 허락되었으나 그들에게는 아니되었나니”(마13:11)

하나님을 모르는 사람들은 “하나님의 길은 우리의 길이 아니고, 하나님의 생각은 우리의 생각이 아니다” 라고 말합니다. 하지만 거듭난 우리에게는 하나님의 길이 곧 우리의 길입니다. 우리는 하나님으로부터 태어났습니다. 그분의 형상과 모양대로 창조되었습니다. 이는 우리가 하나님과 닮았고 그분처럼 기능한다는 뜻입니다. 또한 우리는 그분과 같은 생명과 본성을 가지고 있습니다.

고린도전서 2:16은 말합니다. “…그러나 우리가 그리스도의 마음을 가졌느니라.” 예수님은 우리에게 그분의 생각을 주셔서 우리가 예수님과 같이 생각할 수 있도록 하셨습니다. 에베소서 5:1은 우리에게 그분을 본받으라고 말합니다. 할렐루야! 오늘의 본문 구절에서 하신 주님의 말씀을 기억하십시오. 주님은 왕국의 신비를 아는 것이 우리의 유산이라고 말씀하셨습니다.

그분의 성품은 성경을 통해 우리에게 분명하게 계시되어 있습니다. 당신은 하나님이 누구인지 말할 수 있고, 예수 그리스도로 말미암아 하나님을 설명할 수 있으며, 하나님께 무엇을 기대할 수 있는지 압니다. 당신은 그분의 대답도 알 수 있습니다. 하나님은 기록된 말씀과 성령님을 통해 우리에게 그분 자신의 뜻을 드러내셨습니다. 성경은 하나님께서 모세에게 그분의 길을 보여주셨다고 말합니다.

하나님께서는 “내 길은 너희의 길과 다름이니라”(사55:8-9)고 한 번 말씀하신 적이 있습니다. 몇몇 사람들은 문맥을 보지 않고 이 말씀을 인용하기도 합니다. 그러나 이 말씀은 그 당시 이스라엘이 하나님의 길에서 떠나 걷고 있었기 때문에 하나님께서 그들에게 하신 말씀입니다. 하나님의 갈망은 우리의 길이 그분의 길과 일치하는 것입니다. 하나님은 우리가 그분의 길을 걷도록 부르시고 초청하십니다.

하나님께서 우리에게 길을 보여주지 않으셨다면, 우리가 어떻게 그분과 일치하게 걸을 수 있겠습니까? 따라서 하나님의 길은 감추어져 있지 않습니다. 그분의 길은 말씀 안에 나타나 있습니다. 당신이 하나님을 아버지로 알고 있다면 그분은 더 이상 신비로운 분이 아닙니다. 세상과 그분을 모르는 사람들에게는 하나님이 신비입니다. 그러나 우리는 가족이며 그분의 자녀입니다. 우리는 그분의 왕국 안에 살고 있고 그분의 길을 압니다. 하나님을 찬양합니다.

기도

내가 말씀을 공부할 때, 아버지의 마음, 생각, 계획, 목적이 나에게 드러납니다. 나는 하나님의 뜻을 완전하게, 깊게, 명확하게 알고 있습니다. 삶에서 일어나는 어떤 일도 혼란스럽지 않습니다. 그분의 빛이 내 마음에 있으며 진리가 드러나고 있습니다. 승리와 끝없는 찬양의 삶을 위한 계시가 나에게 주어졌습니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

WE KNOW HIS WAYS

“He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given”(Matthew 13:11).

Those who don’t know God are quick to say, “His ways are not our ways, His thoughts are not our thoughts.” But for us who are born again, His ways are our ways. We’re born of Him; created in His image and His likeness. That means we look like Him, and we function like Him. Moreover, we have the same life and nature with Him.

1 Corinthians 2:16 says, “…But we have the mind of Christ.” He’s given us His thoughts, so we can think like Him. Ephesians 5:1 tells us to imitate Him. Hallelujah! Recall the words of the Master in our theme scripture: He said it’s our heritage to know the mysteries of the Kingdom.

The description of His character is clearly unveiled to us in the Scriptures; you can tell who He is, you can describe God by Jesus Christ, and know what to expect of Him. You can predict His response. He has revealed Himself and His will to us through His written Word, and through the Holy Spirit. The Bible says He showed His ways unto Moses.

The only time He said, “My ways are not your ways” (Isaiah 55:8-9), which some people quote out of context was because Israel, at the time, walked away from God’s ways, and God said those words to them. His desire is for our ways to correspond with His ways. He calls and invites us to walk in His ways.

If He didn’t show us His ways, how could we walk in sync with Him? So, His ways are not mysterious, His ways are revealed to us in His Word. If you know Him as your Father, He is not a mystery anymore. Yes, He’s a mystery to the world and to those who don’t know Him. But we’re family, we’re His children. We live in His kingdom, and we know His ways. Praise God.

PRAYER

As I study the Word, the Father’s heart, His thoughts, plans and purposes are unveiled to me. I have full, deep, and clear knowledge of His will; not confused about anything in life. His light is in my heart, and there’s an unveiling of truth; revelation is granted to me for a life of victory and unending praise, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
