Your Legal Authority To Use His Name
“믿는 자들에게는 이런 표적이 따르리니 곧 그들이 내 이름으로 귀신을 쫓아내며…”(막 16:17)
예수님이 이 땅에 계시던 시대에는 귀신을 내쫓는 행위인 축사가 새로운 것이 아니었습니다. 유대인들은 귀신들이 고난을 일으키기도 한다는 사실을 알았습니다. 예수님도 복음서의 몇몇 부분에서 이를 언급하셨습니다. 따라서 축사는 이미 존재하고 있었습니다. 한 예시로, 예수님은 마태복음 12:27에서 이렇게 물으셨습니다. “또 내가 바알세불을 힘입어 귀신을 쫓아내면 너희의 아들들은 누구를 힘입어 쫓아내느냐 그러므로 그들이 너희의 재판관이 되리라.”
그러나 사람들은 예수님이 사역하실 때 귀신을 쫓아낸 방식에서 독특한 점을 발견했습니다. 예수님은 그저 말씀만 하시는데 귀신이 쫓겨나가는 것입니다. 예수님은 다른 이들이 놀랄만한 권세를 행사하셨습니다. 따라서 사람들이 예수님이 누구신지, 왜 자신들과 다른지 궁금해하던 것은 당연합니다. 누가복음 4:36은 말합니다. “다 놀라 서로 말하여 이르되 이 어떠한 말씀인고 권위와 능력으로 더러운 귀신을 명하매 나가는도다 하더라.”
오늘날 예수님은 그분의 이름을 사용할 수 있는 대리인의 권세를 우리에게 주셨습니다. 예수님을 대신하여 행할 수 있는 법적 권한을 받은 것입니다. 그러므로 당신은 예수 이름을 사용하여 마귀를 쫓아낼 수 있습니다. 성경은 말합니다. “믿는 자들에게는 이런 표적이 따르리니 곧 그들이 내 이름으로 귀신을 쫓아내며…”(막 16:17-18)
“내 이름으로”라는 구절을 주목하십시오. 이는 당신이 예수 이름을 사용할 수 있고 그 말이 귀신에게 들린다는 사실을 의미합니다. 따라서 예수님이 “그들이 내 이름으로 귀신을 쫓아내며” 라고 말씀하신 것은 더이상 사탄과 그의 마귀들을 다룰 때 의미 없는 언쟁이 필요하지 않다는 뜻입니다. 그냥 쫓아내십시오! 예수 이름으로 당신은 사탄의 영향력과 계략을 당신의 가족, 직장, 도시, 국가로부터 끊어낼 수 있습니다.
어떤 귀신도 예수 이름에 대적하거나 맞설 수 없습니다. 빌립보서 2:9-11은 말합니다. “이러므로 하나님이 그를 지극히 높여 모든 이름 위에 뛰어난 이름을 주사 하늘에 있는 자들과 땅에 있는 자들과 땅 아래에 있는 자들로 모든 무릎을 예수의 이름에 꿇게 하시고 모든 입으로 예수 그리스도를 주라 시인하여 하나님 아버지께 영광을 돌리게 하셨느니라.”
기도
나는 예수 이름을 사용하는 권세를 받았으므로 모든 마귀를 다스리는 권세를 행사합니다. 나의 믿음은 최고의 방어 무기이며, 대적과 역경을 이기는 승리의 무기입니다. 나는 내 믿음을 가지고 악한 자의 모든 불화살을 소멸시킵니다. 하나님의 말씀이 내 영과 혼과 몸을 다스립니다. 나는 그리스도 안에서 영원히 승리합니다. 내 믿음은 세상을 이기는 승리이기 때문입니다!

YOUR LEGAL AUTHORITY TO USE HIS NAME
“And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils…”(Mark 16:17).
In the days of Jesus, exorcism wasn’t a new thing as the Jews knew that demons were responsible for some afflictions. Jesus referred to it in some portions of the gospels; so, it was already in existence in His day. For example, in Matthew 12:27, Jesus asked, “And if I by Beelzebub cast out demons, by whom do your children cast them out? therefore they shall be your judges.”
But the people noticed something unique about the way Jesus ministered and cast out demons; He only spoke words and the demons were cast out. He exercised authority that others marvelled at. No wonder they wanted to know who He was, and why He was so different. Luke 4:36 says, “And they were all amazed, and spake among themselves, saying, What a word is this! for with authority and power he commandeth the unclean spirits, and they come out.”
Today, He has given us the power of attorney to use His Name; the legal authority to act in his stead. Thus, you can cast out devils using the Name of Jesus. The Bible says, “And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils…” (Mark 16:17-18).
Notice the three-word phrase: “In my name”; it means you can use the Name of Jesus and be heard. So, when He says “in my name, they shall cast out devils,” it means that in dealing with Satan and his demons, no need for fruitless arguments; cast them out! In His Name, you can frustrate the influence and manipulations of Satan in your family, workplace, city, and country.
No demon can resist or stand against the Name of Jesus. Philippians 2:9-11 says, “Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”
CONFESSION
I exercise authority over all devils, as I have been given the authority in the Name of Jesus. My faith is a weapon of defence and an instrument of victory over and against the adversary and adversities. With it, I put out all the fiery missiles of the wicked one. The Word of God has taken full possession of my spirit, soul, and body. I’m eternally triumphant in Christ because my faith is the victory that overcomes the world!
