Reigning Through Words
“그의 아버지 하나님을 위하여 우리를 나라와 제사장으로 삼으신…”(계 1:6)
그리스도인인 당신은 실제로는 무력하고 궁핍한 평민이 아닌 왕이라는 사실을 의식하거나 깨닫게 되면, 당신의 삶의 방식은 완전히 바뀔 것입니다. 당신은 “만약 내가 진짜 왕이라면, 왜 내 삶이 이렇지요? 왜 모든 일이 잘되지 않지요?”라고 묻는 사람 중 하나가 되지 않을 것입니다. 그런 식으로 말하는 사람들은 분명 말씀을 믿어본 적이 없습니다. 그들은 자신이 누구인지 받아들인 적이 없습니다.
당신은 왕입니다. 하나님께서 당신이 그런 자라고 말씀하시기 때문입니다. 그것은 당신이 경험하고 있는 것과는 상관없습니다. 당신에게 필요한 것은 왕으로 살아가는 법을 연습하는 것입니다. 왕은 다스립니다. 그러므로 다스리기 시작하십시오. 왕이 어떻게 다스립니까? 왕은 말로 다스립니다. 성경은 “왕의 말은 권능(power)이 있나니…”(전 8:4)라고 말씀합니다. 즉 변화를 가져오는 능력(power), 당신이 말한 대로 일어나게 하는 능력이 당신의 말에 있습니다.
올 한 해 동안 왕으로 걷고, 말하고, 기도하며 살아가기로 결단하십시오. 그것은 당신의 사고방식에서부터 시작됩니다. 거울을 보고 거기에 나타난 자신에게 “너는 왕이다. 왕으로 통치하고 다스려라!”라고 말하십시오.
한 가지 분명한 사실은 왕은 통치와 권위를 행사한다는 것입니다. 가장 아름다운 사실은 왕인 당신의 권위는 주 예수님의 권위라는 것입니다. 예수님은 당신을 왕으로 만든 분이십니다. 그러므로 당신에게는 통치권을 행사할 권리가 있으며 마귀와 삶의 부정적인 세력들에 대해 “왕으로 군림”할 권리가 있습니다.
미천하거나 평범한 삶을 거절하십시오. 예를 들어 잠자는 장소에 문제가 있었다면, “왕이 노숙자가 되는 것은 옳지 않다!”라고 스스로에게 말할 때입니다. 그러고는 당신이 바라는 숙박의 형태를 창조할 말을 하기 시작하십시오. 직장을 찾고 있었다면 직장을 창조할 때입니다. 말로 칙령을 내리십시오. 그렇게 할 때 천사들은 일하기 시작할 것이며, 곧 당신은 직장을 갖게 될 뿐 아니라 고용주가 될 것입니다.
예수님은 마가복음 11:23에서 “네가 말한 것을 갖게 될 것이다”라고 말씀하셨습니다. 그것이 왕의 운명입니다. 왕은 빈말하지 않습니다. 왕은 그 입에 있는 믿음의 말로 상황을 책임집니다. 욥기 22:28은 말씀합니다. “네가 무엇을 결정하면 이루어질 것이요…” 당신의 입에 권능이 있습니다. 당신의 혀에 통치권이 있습니다. 생명 안에서 왕으로 말하여 다스리고 통치하십시오.
고백
나는 이 땅에서 왕으로 다스리며 상황과 환경을 내가 원하는 대로 변화시킵니다. 내가 칙령을 내리면 그것들은 확립됩니다. 내 입술에 있는 하나님의 말씀은 하나님이 말씀하시는 것이기 때문입니다! 나는 왕입니다. 나는 생명 안에서 통치하고 다스리게 되어있습니다. 하나님께 영광 돌립니다!

REIGNING THROUGH WORDS
And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father… (Revelation 1:6).
As a Christian, the consciousness or realisation that you’re actually a king, and not a helpless, needy commoner, will completely change the way you live. Don’t think or say, “If I’m truly a king, why is my life like this? Why aren’t things working out right?” Evidently, those who talk that way haven’t believed the Word; they haven’t accepted who they are.
You’re a king because God says you are; it has nothing to do with what you might be experiencing. What you need is to practise living as a king. Kings reign; so, start reigning. How do kings reign? They reign through words. The Bible says, “Where the word of a king is, there is power…” (Ecclesiastes 8:4); power to effect changes; power to make what you say come to pass.
Decide that you’re going to walk, talk, pray and live as a king throughout this year. It begins with your mentality. Look into the mirror and tell the person on the other side of the mirror, “You’re a king; rule and reign as one!”
One thing is sure: Kings exercise dominion and authority. The most beautiful part is that your authority as a king is that of the Lord Jesus; He’s the One that made you a king. Therefore, you have every right to exercise dominion, and “king” over the devil and the forces of life.
Refuse the low or ordinary life. If, for instance, you’ve been having a challenge of accommodation, it’s about time you said to yourself, “It’s not right for a king to be homeless!” Then start speaking words that’ll create the kind of accommodation that you want. If you’ve been in search of a job, it’s time to create one; start speaking and issuing decrees. As you do, these words will cause you to take actions that are necessary, position you, and create the right conditions and circumstances for the fulfillment of your desires, through the power of the Spirit.
Jesus said in Mark 11:23, “You shall have what you say”; that’s the destiny of kings; they don’t speak empty words; they take charge of situations with the word of faith in their mouth. Job 22:28 says, “Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee….” There’s power in your mouth; there’s dominion in your tongue; reign and rule as a king in life, with words.
CONFESSION
I reign as a king in this life, altering situations and circumstances in my favour. I make decrees and they’re established, for the Word of God on my lips is God talking. I’m royalty. I’m destined to rule and reign in life. Glory to God!
