당신의 정체성과 지식
Who You Are And What You Know
“자녀들아 너희는 하나님께 속하였고 또 그들을 이기었나니 이는 너희 안에 계신 이가 세상에 있는 자보다 크심이라”(요일 4:4)
항상 당신이 그리스도 안에서 자신이 누구인지 인식하고, 그러한 지식이 삶의 모든 것을 다스리도록 하는 것이 중요합니다. 바로 이것이 다윗을 구약의 다른 모든 사람과 다르게 만들었습니다.
다윗은 일생 동안 많은 전투에서 승리했습니다. 다윗이 골리앗을 마주했던 때를 떠올려 보십시오. 용감한 사울 왕을 비롯한 모든 이스라엘 군대가 골리앗을 두려워했을 때, 다윗은 “이 할례 받지 않은 블레셋 사람이 누구이기에 살아 계시는 하나님의 군대를 모욕하겠느냐”(삼상 17:26)고 말했습니다.
다윗은 45절에서 계속해서 이렇게 말했습니다. “… 너는 칼과 창과 단창으로 내게 나아 오거니와 나는 만군의 여호와의 이름 곧 네가 모욕하는 이스라엘 군대의 하나님의 이름으로 네게 나아가노라” 그 후, 다윗은 입대하기엔 너무 어린 소년이었음에도 불구하고 골리앗의 목을 베어 이스라엘에 승리를 가져다주었습니다.
다윗과 다른 이스라엘 사람들의 차이점은 다윗이 자신이 누구인지 알았고, 그 사실을 인식했다는 것입니다. 다윗은 하나님과 이스라엘 사이의 언약을 인식했고, 그 언약의 결과로 이스라엘을 대적하는 사람은 누구나 하나님을 대적하는 것임을 알았습니다.
이스라엘 사람들은 그 지식으로 기능하지 않았기 때문에 골리앗을 당해낼 수 없었습니다. 하나님께서는 “내 백성이 지식이 없으므로 망하는도다”라고 말씀하셨습니다. 당신은 항상 승리할 수 있고, 승리해야 합니다. 바로 그것이 하나님께서 당신에게 주신 삶이기 때문입니다.
그러기 위해서 당신은 그리스도 안에 있는 신성한 공급과 권리를 알아야 합니다. 당신이 누구인지 잘 모른다면, 당신은 삶에서 불이익을 당할 것입니다. 또한 당신이 누구인지 알지만 그 지식으로 무엇을 해야 할지 모른다면, 당신은 여전히 삶에서 여러 상황과 역경으로 인해 고통당할 것입니다.
따라서 날마다 당신이 하나님으로부터 태어났다는 의식을 가지고 살아가십시오. 당신은 그분과 동일한 생명을 가지고 있습니다. 당신은 사탄보다 우월하며 상황과 이 세상의 요소를 다스리는 존재입니다. 하나님의 말씀에 있는 이러한 진리들을 묵상하십시오. 그러면 당신은 계속해서 승리 가운데 살 것입니다.
기도
사랑하는 아버지, 내가 아버지의 신성한 본성에 참여하게 하시고 그리스도 예수 안에서 승리를 주시니 감사드립니다. 나는 그리스도 안에서 내가 누구인지 알고 그리스도 안에 있는 나의 신성한 권리와 유업에 대한 지식 안에서 삽니다. 세상에 있는 자보다 크신 분이 내 안에 계십니다. 나는 모든 상황 가운데 승리합니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

WHO YOU ARE AND WHAT YOU KNOW
“Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world” (1 John 4:4).
It’s so important that always, you’re conscious of who you are in Christ and allow that knowledge control everything about your life. It’s one of the things that made David in the Old Testament so different from everyone else.
David won many battles in his lifetime. Recall his encounter with Goliath; when all the armies of Israel, including the valiant King Saul, were terrified of Goliath, David said, “For who is this uncircumcised Philistine, that he should defy the armies of the living God? (1 Samuel 17:26).
In verse forty-five, he continued, “…Thou comest to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield: but I come to thee in the name of the LORD of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast defied” (1 Samuel 17:45). Subsequently, David decapitated Goliath and won the victory for Israel as a stripling, a young lad too young to be in the army.
The difference between David and the rest of the Israelites was that David knew who he was and was conscious of it. He recognized the covenant between God and Israel and knew that as a result of that covenant, anyone coming against Israel was coming against God.
The others in Israel didn’t function with that knowledge and that was why they could be bullied by Goliath. God said, “My people perish for their lack of knowledge” (Hosea 4:6). You can, and should always win; it’s the life God has given you.
But you have to know the divine provisions and rights in Christ. If you don’t know who you are, you’ll be disadvantaged in life. Nonetheless, if you know who you are but don’t know what to do with the knowledge, you’ll still be buffeted by the circumstances and adversities of life.
Therefore, every day, live with the consciousness that you’re born of God; you have the same life with Him. You’re superior to Satan, with dominion over circumstances and the elements of this world. Ponder these and similar truths in the Word of God and you’ll walk in victory consistently.
PRAYER
Dear Father, I thank you for making me a partaker of your divine nature and giving me victory in Christ Jesus. I’m conscious of who I am in Christ and I walk in the knowledge of my divine rights and heritage in Christ. Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world. I am victorious in every situation, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
