당신의 생명은 하나님의 영광을 위한 것입니다
YOUR LIFE IS FOR HIS GLORY
“그의 신성의 능력이 생명과 경건에 속한 모든 것을 우리에게 주심에 따라 그에 관한 지식으로 말미암아 우리를 영광과 덕에 이르도록 부르셨으니”(벧후 1:3, 한글킹제임스)
하나님의 말씀은 당신의 삶을 향한 하나님의 뜻을 알려주는 것 말고도 그리스도 안에 있는 당신의 유업도 밝혀줍니다. 고린도후서 8:9은 이렇게 선언합니다. “우리 주 예수 그리스도의 은혜를 너희가 알거니와 부요하신 이로서 너희를 위하여 가난하게 되심은 그의 가난함으로 말미암아 너희를 부요하게 하려 하심이라” 우리가 부요하게 되도록 예수님이 가난하게 되셨습니다. 그러므로 그분이 당신에게 주신 형통의 삶을 누리기 위해 당신이 해야 하는 전부는 그분의 말씀 안에서 사는 것뿐입니다! 하나님은 당신이 삶에서 고통을 겪고 고군분투하도록 창조하지 않으셨습니다. 그분은 그분의 영광을 위해서 당신을 창조하셨습니다.
당신 삶의 최종권위인 하나님의 말씀에 복종하는 것이 그리스도 안에 있는 당신의 유업 가운데 살고 생명을 최대한으로 누리는 열쇠입니다. 주님이 당신을 위해서 아직도 하지 않은 일은 없습니다. 에베소서 1:3은 말씀합니다. “찬송하리로다 하나님 곧 우리 주 예수 그리스도의 아버지께서 그리스도 안에서 하늘에 속한 모든 신령한 복을 우리에게 주시되” 하나님은 당신이 상상할 수 있는 모든 축복을 당신에게 이미 주셨습니다. 이것은 우리가 오늘 본문구절에서 읽은 것과 유사합니다. 하나님은 생명과 경건에 속한 모든 것을 우리에게 이미 주셨습니다.
그러므로 당신의 생명은 날마다 어디에서나 항상 주님을 찬양하고 영광을 돌리며 감사를 드리는 생명이 되어야 마땅합니다. 성경은 당신이 가난과 아픔과 질병이나 약함이 아니라 영광과 덕으로 부름을 받았다고 말씀합니다(벧후 1:3). 당신의 생명은 하나님의 영광을 위한 것입니다.
성경은 구약의 선지자들이 그리스도의 고난과 그 고난에 따른 영광을 증언했다고 우리에게 알려줍니다(벧전 1:11). 그리스도의 고난 직후에 영광이 따랐습니다. 당신이 영광 가운데 살도록 그리스도가 고난 당하셨습니다. 지금 당신은 그 영광 안에 있습니다. 오늘날 누구든지 고난을 겪고 있다면, 그 고난은 불필요한 것입니다.
예를 들어 육신의 몸에 문제 곧 몸 어딘가에 종양이 있다면, 그 종양을 향해 죽으라고 명하십시오. 고통에 대해 불평하지 말고, 그것을 향해 말씀을 사용하십시오. 치유와 건강을 확언하십시오. 형통을 선언하십시오. 생명을 말하십시오. 당신의 인생 여정이 오직 한 방향 곧 위로 앞으로만 향한다고 선언하십시오. 당신은 항상 승리하므로, 당신의 생명이 하나님의 영광을 위한 것이라고 확언하십시오.

나의 생명은 하나님의 영광을 위한 것입니다! 나는 항상 승리합니다. 나의 인생 여정은 오직 한 방향 곧 위로 앞으로만 향합니다. 오늘 나의 믿음은 강하며 살아있습니다. 내가 성령님의 통치 가운데 기능하므로 세상은 내 앞에 굴복합니다. 하나님을 송축합니다!

YOUR LIFE IS FOR HIS GLORY
According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue (2 Peter 1:3).
God’s Word, apart from showing you His will for your life also reveals your inheritance in Christ. 2 Corinthians 8:9 declares, “For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.” Jesus became poor that we might become rich. So all you’ve got to do to enjoy the life of prosperity He’s given you is to live in His Word! God didn’t create you to suffer and struggle through life; He created you for His glory. Your submission to God’s Word as final authority in your life is the key to living in your inheritance in Christ and enjoying life to the full. There’s nothing the Lord hasn’t done for you yet. Ephesians 1:3 says, “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ.” He has already granted you every blessing you could ever imagine. This parallels what we read in our opening verse: He’s already given you all things that pertain to life and godliness. Your life, therefore, should be one of praise, glory, and thanksgiving to the Lord every day, everywhere, and at all times. The Bible says you’ve been called to glory and virtue (2 Peter 1:3), and not to poverty, sickness, disease or infirmity. Your life is for the glory of God. The Bible lets us know that the prophets of old testified of the sufferings of Christ and the glory that should follow (1 Peter 1:11). Right after the sufferings of Christ, a life of glory ensued. He suffered so that you would live in the glory. You’re in that glory now. If anybody is suffering today, that suffering is unnecessary. If, for example, you’ve had problems in your physical body, maybe it’s a growth somewhere in your body; command it to die. Don’t complain about the pain. Use the Word against it. Affirm your healing and health. Declare your prosperity. Speak life. Declare that your journey in life is one direction only: upward and forward. Affirm that you’re triumphant all the way, and your life is for the glory of God.
CONFESSION
My life is for the glory of God! I’m triumphant all the way; my journey in life is in one direction only: upward and forward. Today, my faith is strong and alive; the world is subdued before me, because I function by the dominion of the Spirit. Blessed be God!
