예수님은 모든 사람을 위해 심판 받으셨습니다

HE WAS JUDGED FOR ALL MEN

“그러므로 이제 그리스도 예수 안에 있는 자에게는 결코 정죄함이 없나니”(롬 8:1)

오늘 본문구절에서 “정죄함”이라 번역된 단어는 심판을 의미하기도 합니다. 어떤 사람들은 그렇게 생각하지 않지만, 심판은 하나님의 계획 중 일부입니다. 성경은 인간에 대한 두 가지 주요 심판을 분명히 밝히고 있습니다. 첫번째는 주 예수님께서 십자가에서 인류의 죄를 위해 심판을 받으심으로 이루어졌습니다. 두 번째 심판은 심판의 날에 백보좌 앞에서 이루어질 것입니다.

대부분은 두번째 심판에 대해 더 잘 알고 있습니다. 로마서 8:1에 따르면 우리는 두 번째 심판을 받을 필요가 없습니다. 우리는 예수님께서 갈보리 십자가에서 그를 위해 심판을 받으셨다는 진리를 받아들임으로 하나님의 의를 받을 수 있습니다. 예수님은 우리 죄를 위한 희생제물이 되셨고 자신의 죽음으로 모든 값을 지불하셨습니다.

로마서 3:24-26은 우리가 그리스도 예수 안에 있는 대속을 통하여 하나님의 은혜로 값없이 의롭다 하심을 얻었다고 말합니다. “이 예수를 하나님이 그의 피로써 믿음으로 말미암는 화목제물로 세우셨으니 이는 하나님께서 길이 참으시는 중에 전에 지은 죄를 간과하심으로 자기의 의로우심을 나타내려 하심이니 곧 이 때에 자기의 의로우심을 나타내사 자기도 의로우시며 또한 예수 믿는 자를 의롭다 하려 하심이라.” 하나님을 송축합니다!

예수님이 무덤에 계시지 않는다는 사실에 하나님께 감사드립니다. 예수님은 사흘 만에 부활하셨습니다! 오늘날 예수님을 믿는 모든 사람은 모든 죄로부터 의롭게 되어 심판에서 벗어납니다. 할렐루야! 예수님이 우리를 위해 이루신 것은 죄를 제거하심 그 이상입니다. 그분은 우리를 새 생명으로 인도하셨습니다. 우리는 이제 새로운 본성을 갖게 되었습니다. 할렐루야!

이것이 복음입니다. “한 사람의 범죄로 말미암아 사망이 그 한 사람을 통하여 왕 노릇 하였은즉 더욱 은혜와 의의 선물을 넘치게 받는 자들은 한 분 예수 그리스도를 통하여 생명 안에서 왕 노릇 하리로다”(롬5:17) 이제 모든 사람은 은혜를 받기 위해 보좌 앞에 담대히 나아갈 수 있습니다(히4:16). 하지만 머지않은 날에 그 은혜의 보좌가 그리스도 예수 안에 있는 구원을 거절한 사람들의 심판의 보좌가 될 것입니다. 이것이 바로 하나님께서 우리를 보내셔서 세상 사람들의 구원을 위한 모든 값이 이미 지불되었음을 알리도록 하신 이유입니다. 이미 예수님은 그들을 대신하여 심판을 받으셨습니다.

기도

의로우신 아버지, 예수님이 세상 죄를 위한 희생제물이 되시고 그분의 죽으심으로 모든 값을 온전히 지불하셨음을 아는 것이 얼마나 큰 기쁨인지요! 나는 예수님이 나를 위해 십자가에서 심판을 받으셨다는 진리를 받아들이고 하나님의 의를 받았습니다. 나는 이 어둠의 세상에 있는 멸망과 심판으로부터 완전히 옮겨졌습니다. 나는 하나님의 사랑의 아들의 왕국에 속하고 그 안에 살고 있기 때문입니다. 아멘.

HE WAS JUDGED FOR ALL MEN

“There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus…”(Romans 8:1).

The word translated “condemnation” in the verse above also means judgment. Judgment is a part and parcel of God’s programme even though some folks don’t think so. The Bible clearly reveals two main judgments for man. The first one took place when the Lord Jesus was judged for the sins of mankind on the Cross. The second will take place on the Judgment Day, before the Great White Throne.

Most are more familiar with the latter. According to Romans 8:1, man doesn’t have to face the second judgment. He can obtain God’s righteousness by accepting the truth that Jesus was judged for him on the Cross of Calvary. Jesus became the sacrifice for our sin and paid the penalty by His death.

Romans 3:24-26 says we’ve been justified freely by His grace through the redemption that’s in Christ Jesus: “Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.” Blessed be God!

Thank God Jesus didn’t remain in the grave; He resurrected on the third day! Today, anyone who believes in Him is justified from every sin—severed from judgement. Hallelujah! What He accomplished for us is much more than remission of sins. He ushered us into a new life; we now have a new nature. Hallelujah!

This is the Gospel: “For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ” (Romans 5:17). Now, every man can boldly come before the throne of grace to obtain mercy (Hebrews 4:16). But someday, not too far away, that throne of grace will become the throne of judgment for those who rejected the salvation in Christ Jesus. That’s why He sent us to tell the world that the price has been paid for their salvation. Jesus was judged on their behalf.

PRAYER

Righteous Father, what joy it is to know that Jesus became the sacrifice for the sins of the world and paid the penalty by His death, in full! Now, I have obtained your righteousness by accepting the truth that Jesus was judged for me on the cross. I’m far removed from the destruction or judgement that works in this present world of darkness, because I belong and live in the Kingdom of God’s dear Son. Amen.
