속사람
Inward Man
“너희는 이 세대를 본받지 말고 오직 마음을 새롭게 함으로 변화를 받아…”(롬 12:2)
인간의 최고의 잠재력은 겉사람에 있지 않고 속사람 곧 인간의 영에 있습니다. 그렇기 때문에 당신은 당신의 영을 교육하는 것에 더 큰 가치를 두어야만 합니다.
이 세상의 교육은 겉사람의 감각을 통해 생각에 정보를 전달하고 다듬고 발전시키려는 노력에 불과합니다. 그러나 인간의 영인 속사람을 교육하는 것은 하나님의 말씀을 받고 묵상하는 것이며, 이는 궁극적으로 인간의 영에 계시와 지혜를 줍니다.
하나님의 말씀은 당신이 진정한 당신의 모습을 발견하고 그 안에서 삶의 질을 높이도록 돕습니다. 오늘의 본문 말씀에서 속사람의 영적 교육에 대해 말씀하고 있는 것에 주목하시기 바랍니다. “오직 마음을 새롭게 함으로 변화를 받아”
교육에는 연습과 실천이 수반되어야 합니다. 따라서 당신이 속사람을 교육시키고 있다면 말씀을 행해야 하며, 영을 따라 살고 보는 것을 훈련해야 합니다. 당신은 자연적인 혹은 물리적인 관점에서 상황을 받아들이기를 거절해야 합니다.
우리가 읽은 부분을 기억하십시오. “이 세대를 본받지 말고”는 세상에 있는 자들처럼 살거나, 생각하거나, 그들의 관점으로 보면 안된다는 의미입니다. 그 대신 마음을 새롭게 함으로 변화되어야 합니다. 당신은 말씀으로 당신의 영을 먹이고 양육함으로 생각하는 방식을 바꿉니다.
예를 들어 지금까지는 스스로를 실패자로 여겼을지라도, 말씀이 당신을 성공이라고 말하기 때문에 이제 다르게 생각하기 시작합니다. 당신이 스스로를 주님을 기쁘시게 하지 못하는 죄인이라고 생각 했을지라도, 이제는 당신을 그리스도 예수 안에서 하나님의 의로 여기는 것입니다. 당신은 새로운 사고방식을 가졌으며, 새로운 의의 사고방식은 진정 속사람을 교육한 결과입니다.
고백
나는 의의 사고방식을 가지고 있습니다. 나는 매순간 하나님의 영으로부터 인도, 영감, 조언, 지혜를 얻을 수 있는 위치에 있습니다. 나는 성령님의 인도에 나를 내어드립니다. 그러므로 나는 지속적인 승리와 성공 가운데 걷습니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

EDUCATING THE INWARD MAN
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind… (Romans 12:2).
The highest potential of the human nature isn’t in the outward man, but in the inward man, the human spirit. This is why the premium must be on the education of your spirit.
The best education in the world is an attempt to inform, refine, and develop the mind through the senses of the outward man. However, it’s the education of the
inward man, the human spirit, that ultimately gives light and wisdom, and it’s only achievable through receiving and meditating on the Word of God.
God’s Word helps you discover the real you and improves the quality of your life from within. Read our opening verse again and notice that it talks about the spiritual education of the inward man: “…be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind.” Now, in education, there’s practice and exercise. Thus, in educating your inward man, you practise the Word; you practise living, seeing, and relating from your spirit. You refuse to relate to things from a natural or physical standpoint.
Remember part of what we read: “…be not conformed to this world…”; meaning you shouldn’t live like them, or think like them, or see from their perspective. Instead, be transfigured and translated by the renewing of your mind; by feeding and nurturing your spirit with the Word, you change the way you think.
For example, hitherto you thought you were a failure, but now you think differently, because the Word says you’re a success. You thought you were a mere sinner, failing to please the Lord, but now you think and see yourself as the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. You have a new mind-set—the mind-set of
the righteous which indeed is a result of the education of the inward man.
CONFESSION
I have the mindset of the just. I’m positioned at all times to receive direction, inspiration, counsel and wisdom from the Spirit of God! I’m yielded to the guidance of the Spirit; therefore, I walk in consistent victories and triumphs, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
