소망의 본질
THE ESSENCE OF HOPE
“믿음은 바라는 것들의 실상이요 보이지 않는 것들의 증거니”(히11:1)
소망은 주로 미래에 당신이 기대하거나 바라는 것입니다. 갈망하는 미래에 대한 그림 혹은 장면이며, 미래의 성취, 소유, 혹은 업적에 대한 그림입니다. 그러나 믿음이 소망의 본질입니다. 다른 말로, 당신이 소망하기 전까지는 그 장면이나 그림에는 생명이 없습니다. 따라서 소망은 매우 중요합니다.
소망은 강력합니다. 소망이 없어진 사람들은 포기하고 죽을 수도 있습니다. 하지만 당신에게 소망이 있다면 당신이 소망하는 것이 곧 가능하게 보입니다. 당신은 그것이 존재하는 것을 보게 됩니다.
소망은 “잠재적 에너지”와 같습니다. 당신이 영으로 그것을 “볼” 수 있다면 실현될 수 있습니다. 그때가 바로 소망이 현실이 되는 순간이기 때문입니다. 그래서 결과를 보기 위해서는 반드시 소망을 믿음으로 바꾸어야 합니다. 당신은 소망을 통해 하나님의 말씀에 따라 행한 결과로 나타나는 축복을 볼 수 있습니다. 하지만 믿음을 통해 당신은 그 축복을 소유하고 그 축복 안에 거할 수 있습니다. 할렐루야!
기도
하늘에 계신 아버지, 그리스도 안에 있는 복된 소망에 감사드립니다. 내가 오늘 당신의 말씀을 나의 건강, 재정, 생활, 사역에 적용할 때 나는 가능성의 그림들을 봅니다. 또한 나는 내 안에 계신 그리스도가 계신다는 확신을 가지고 있습니다. 내 안에 그리스도 계시므로 내 삶의 모든 분야에 영광이 함께합니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

THE ESSENCE OF HOPE
“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for the evidence of things not seen”(Hebrews 11:1).
Hope is usually in the future, something you look forward to or desire in front of you. It’s a picture or an image of a desired future; a picture of a future accomplishment, possession or fulfilment. Faith, however, is the essence of hope. In other words, until you hope, that image or picture has no life. That’s why hope is so important.
Hope is powerful. When people become hopeless, they could give up, and die. But once you have hope, then the thing you’re hoping for suddenly becomes a possibility; you see that it exists.
Hope is like “potential energy”; which means it’s a possibility that could be realized if you could “look” at it with your spirit, because that is when it becomes real. This is why hope must translate to faith for it to produce results. With hope, you see the blessings that could result from acting on God’s Word. But with faith, you take possession, you walk in the blessing. Hallelujah!
PRAYER
Dear heavenly Father, thank you for the blessed hope we have in Christ. I see pictures of possibilities as I apply your Word in my health, finances, life and ministry, and I have the confident assurance that Christ in me, means glory in every area of my life, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
