Perpetual Peace With God
“그러므로 우리가 믿음으로 의롭다 하심을 받았으니 우리 주 예수 그리스도로 말미암아 하나님과 화평을 누리자” (롬 5:1)
확대번역본은 오늘의 본문 구절을 아름답게 번역합니다. “그러므로 우리가 믿음으로 의롭다 하심을 받았으니(무죄 판결을 받고, 의롭다고 선언되고, 하나님과 올바른 관계를 맺었으니) [우리가 이 사실을 깨닫고] 우리 주 예수 그리스도(메시아, 기름 부음 받은 분)로 말미암아 하나님과 [화해의 화평을 붙잡고 누릴] 화평을 누리자.” 하나님과의 영원한 화평의 삶을 상상해 보십시오! 바로 그것이 예수님께서 우리를 위해 가능하게 하신 것입니다.
구원을 통해 우리는 하나님과 하나가 되었고, 그분과 완벽한 조화를 이루며 동일시되었습니다. 그분은 우리를 자신과 화목하게 하시고, 어떤 종교도 줄 수 없는 평안을 주셨습니다. 이 평안은 우리가 의롭게 된 결과입니다. 당신과 하나님 사이에는 어떤 적대감도 없습니다.
에베소서 2:14-17은 말합니다. “그는 우리의 화평이신지라 둘로 하나를 만드사 원수 된 것 곧 중간에 막힌 담을 자기 육체로 허시고… 이 둘을 한 몸으로 하나님과 화목하게 하려 하심이라 원수 된 것을 십자가로 소멸하시고 또 오셔서 먼 데 있는 너희에게 평안을 전하시고 가까운 데 있는 자들에게 평안을 전하셨으니”
또한 고린도후서 5:18-19은 말합니다. “모든 것이 하나님께로서 났으며 그가 그리스도로 말미암아 우리를 자기와 화목하게 하시고 또 우리에게 화목하게 하는 직분을 주셨으니 곧 하나님께서 그리스도 안에 계시사 세상을 자기와 화목하게 하시고 그들의 죄를 그들에게 돌리지 아니하시고 화목하게 하는 말씀을 우리에게 부탁하셨느니라” 하나님께서 그리스도 예수 안에서 역사하셔서 세상을 그분과 화평케 하시고, 그들의 죄를 그들에게 돌리지 않으셨음을 주목하십시오. 그분은 정죄 대신 우리에게 화평과 하나 됨을 주셨습니다. 할렐루야!
이제 우리는 한 성령으로 말미암아 아버지께 나아갈 수 있습니다(엡 2:18). 당신은 더 이상 하나님으로부터 분리되지 않습니다. 정말 놀랍지 않습니까? 이제 우리는 그분과 지속적인 교제와 평안 가운데 삽니다. 골로새서 1:20은 말합니다. “그의 십자가의 피로 화평을 이루사 만물 곧 땅에 있는 것들이나 하늘에 있는 것들이 그로 말미암아 자기와 화목하게 되기를 기뻐하심이라.” 할렐루야!
기도
사랑하는 아버지, 나를 믿음으로 의롭다 하시고 우리 주 예수 그리스도로 말미암아 하나님과 화평케 하시니 감사드립니다. 나는 하나님과의 지속적인 교제와 하나 됨 가운데 살며, 정죄, 비난, 책망, 반감으로부터 자유합니다. 나는 날마다 하나님의 평안의 충만함을 누리며, 하나님의 사랑 안에서 행하고, 하나님과의 교제를 누립니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

PERPETUAL PEACE WITH GOD
“Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ” (Romans 5:1).
The Amplified Classic renders our opening verse beautifully. It says, “THEREFORE, SINCE we are justified (acquitted, declared righteous, and given a right standing with God) through faith, let us [grasp the fact that we] have [the peace of reconciliation to hold and to enjoy] peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One).” Imagine a life of perpetual peace with God! That’s exactly what Jesus made possible for us.
Through salvation, we’re in oneness with God, in perfect harmony and in sync with Him. He reconciled us to Himself, giving us peace that no religion can offer. This peace is the result of our being justified—acquitted by faith. No enmity between you and God; no hostilities!
Ephesians 2:14-17 says, “For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us…so making peace; And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby: And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh.”
2 Corinthians 5:18-19 says, “And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; to wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.” Observe that it was God working in Christ Jesus, reconciling the world back to Himself, not counting their sins against them. Instead of condemnation, He gave us reconciliation and oneness. Hallelujah!
Now we have access by one Spirit unto the Father (Ephesians 2:18). You’re no longer separated from God. Isn’t that wonderful? Now we live in constant fellowship and peace with Him. Colossians 1:20 says, “And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself….” Hallelujah!
PRAYER
Dear Father, I thank you for justifying me by faith and giving me peace with you through our Lord Jesus Christ. I live in constant fellowship and oneness with you, free from condemnation, censure, blame, or disapproval. I enjoy the fullness of your peace every day, walking in your love and enjoying fellowship with you, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
