Use Your Resources For The Gospel

“그 후에 예수께서 각 성과 마을에 두루 다니시며 하나님의 나라를 선포하시며 그 복음을 전파하시니 열두 제자가 함께 하였고 또 악귀를 쫓아내심과 병 고침을 받은 어떤 여자들 곧 일곱 귀신이 나간 자 막달라인이라 하는 마리아와 헤롯의 청지기 구사의 아내 요안나와 수산나와 다른 여러 여자가 함께 하여 자기들의 소유로 그들을 섬기더라” (눅 8:1-3)

우리가 방금 읽은 내용은 정말 놀랍습니다! 막달라 마리아와 같이 악한 영들과 질병으로부터 구출된 이름이 언급되지 않은 많은 여성들이 그들의 재물로 주 예수님을 섬겼습니다. 그들의 이름이 모두 기록되지는 않았지만, 하나님은 그들의 섬김을 기억하시며 언젠가 우리는 그들의 이름을 모두 알게 될 것입니다.

USE YOUR RESOURCES FOR THE GOSPEL

“Now it came to pass, afterward, that He went through every city and village, preaching and bringing the glad tidings of the kingdom of God. And the twelve were with Him, and certain women who had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities—Mary called Magdalene, out of whom had come seven demons, and Joanna the wife of Chuza, Herod’s steward, and Susanna, and many others who provided for Him from their substance.” (Luke 8:1-3 NKJV).

What we just read is quite remarkable! Certain women who had been delivered from evil spirits and infirmities, like Mary Magdalene and many others whose names weren’t mentioned, ministered to the Lord Jesus of their substance. Their names might not all be written, but God remembers their acts of service and one day, we will see the full list.
These women travelled with Jesus and paid the bills for His evangelistic journeys. They supported the mission financially. That’s partnership. I can relate to this; there’re people who sponsor different aspects of our evangelical work. They go above and beyond financially to ensure the success of our missionary work around the world. These are partners who fund the Gospel with their resources.
The key here is understanding the principle of giving into God’s work. It’s a grace, the grace of giving (2 Corinthians 8:4-6), and you can choose to function in that grace. When you focus on fulfilling God’s dream, you won’t need to struggle for anything. The Bible says, “Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you” (Matthew 6:33).
Many think that success is about acquiring material possessions, but true success comes from doing God’s work and establishing His will in the earth. Everything the Lord has blessed you with is for the furtherance of the Gospel; always remember that. So like the women the Bible talks about in Luke 8, use your resources for the Gospel. It’s one of the ways to get yourself plugged into limitless and unending supply.
The Lord Himself guarantees your prosperity because He sees that you operate with a Kingdom mindset, walking in the light of His Word. Therefore, He’ll make “…all grace (every favour and earthly blessing) come to you in abundance, so that you may always and under all circumstances and whatever the need be self-sufficient [possessing enough to require no aid or support and furnished in abundance for every good work and charitable donation].

CONFESSION
I function with a Kingdom mindset, walking in the light of God’s Word; I use my resources for the expansion of the Kingdom and therefore live in the overflow of God’s blessings and provisions. Thank you, Lord, for multiplying my seeds sown and enriching me in every way, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Love And Righteousness

“한 사람의 범죄로 말미암아 사망이 그 한 사람을 통하여 왕 노릇 하였은즉 더욱 은혜와 의의 선물을 넘치게 받는 자들은 한 분 예수 그리스도를 통하여 생명 안에서 왕 노릇 하리로다” (롬 5:17)

우리는 어제 말씀의 실재를 통해 거듭난 자에게 주어진 영생의 선물에 대해 배웠습니다. 이제 그 놀라운 영생의 선물은 두 가지 덕목, 즉 사랑과 의와 함께 주어집니다. 당신은 이 두 가지를 다른 어디에서도 얻을 수 없습니다. 성경은 영생을 받으면 하나님의 사랑이 성령으로 말미암아 당신의 마음에 부어진다고 말합니다(롬 5:5).
당신 안에 계신 그리스도는 하나님의 본성이 당신 안에 있다는 뜻이며, 하나님의 본성은 사랑입니다. 성경은 “하나님은 사랑이시라”고 말합니다. 그 사랑은 당신의 영에 거합니다. 당신의 책임은 그 사랑이 당신을 통해 흘러가게 하는 것입니다. 고린도후서 5:19은 말합니다. “곧 하나님께서 그리스도 안에 계시사 세상을 자기와 화목하게 하시며 그들의 죄를 그들에게 돌리지 아니하시고 화목하게 하는 말씀을 우리에게 부탁하셨느니라” 하나님께서는 그리스도를 통해 사랑으로 우리에게 오셨고, 우리에게 화해의 사역을 주셔서 영혼을 구원하고 사람들을 그분의 사랑 안으로 데려오게 하셨습니다.
두 번째는 의입니다. 그리스도께서 당신을 의롭게 만드셨습니다. 에베소서 4:24은 당신이 의와 참된 거룩함으로 창조되었다고 말합니다. 로마서 5:18-19은 말합니다. “그런즉 한 범죄로 많은 사람이 정죄에 이른 것 같이 한 의로운 행위로 말미암아 많은 사람이 의롭다 하심을 받아 생명에 이르렀느니라 한 사람이 순종하지 아니함으로 많은 사람이 죄인 된 것 같이 한 사람이 순종하심으로 많은 사람이 의인이 되리라.” 이 말씀에 대해 생각해 보십시오!
당신이 지은 모든 죄와 당신이 저질렀을 모든 악에도 불구하고 의로우신 예수 그리스도께서 당신에게 그분의 의를 주십니다. 이제 당신은 그분처럼 하나님의 임재 안에 설 수 있습니다. 당신은 그분처럼 순결해졌습니다. 당신은 주 예수 이름 안에서 하나님의 영으로 말미암아 씻기고, 거룩하게 되고, 의롭게 되었습니다. 그리고 당신은 이 신성한 의의 본성을 받고 예수 그리스도를 통해 생명 안에서 다스립니다. 할렐루야!

LOVE AND RIGHTEOUSNESS

“For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ” (Romans 5:17).

In our previous study, we talked about the gift of eternal life that’s imparted to be born again. Now, that wonderful gift of eternal life comes with two associate virtues: love and righteousness. You can’t get them anywhere else. Upon receiving eternal life, the love of God is automatically shed abroad in your heart by the Holy Spirit (Romans 5:5).
Christ in you means the nature of God is in you, and God’s nature is love. The Bible says, “God is love.” That love resides in your spirit; your responsibility is to let that love flow through you. 2 Corinthians 5:19 says, “To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.” Having reached out to us in love through Christ, He has given us the ministry of reconciliation, to win others and bring them into His love.
The second thing is righteousness; Christ has made you righteous. Ephesians 4:24 says you were created in righteousness and true holiness. Romans 5:18-19 says, “Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life. For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.” Think about that!
With all the sins you’ve ever committed, with all the evil you may have done, Jesus Christ, the Righteous One, gives you His righteousness. Now you can stand in the presence of God just like He does. You have become as pure as He is—washed, sanctified, justified in the Name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of God. And having received this divine nature of righteousness you reign in life through Jesus Christ. Hallelujah!

PRAYER
Dear Father, I thank you for your liquid love that’s shed abroad in my heart, and the gift of righteousness by which I reign in life through Jesus Christ. I live in the power of your love and righteousness. Thank you for making me holy and blameless; I walk in the consciousness of this truth, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

영생의 선물을 받았습니다
Receiving The Gift Of Eternal Life

“죄의 삯은 사망이요 하나님의 은사는 그리스도 예수 우리 주 안에 있는 영생이니라” (롬 6:23)

우리는 복음을 전파할 때 하나님께서 이미 모든 사람에게 영생을 선물로 주셨다는 것을 세상에 알려야 합니다. 선물은 대가 없이 자발적으로 주어지는 것으로, 보통 호의, 존경, 감사를 전하거나 누군가에 대한 사랑을 표현하기 위해 주어집니다. 선물의 본질은 당신이 일하거나 노력해서 얻는 것이 아니라는 것입니다. 선물은 거저 받는 것입니다.
오늘의 본문 구절에서 하나님의 선물은 영생임을 알 수 있습니다. 하나님은 예수 그리스도 안에서 영생을 거저 주셨습니다. 정말 놀랍지 않습니까? 하나님은 우리가 아무리 노력해도 우리의 수고와 선한 행위로 영생을 받을 자격을 갖추지 못한다는 것을 아셨습니다. 그러므로 하나님은 영생을 선물로 주셨습니다.
요한복음 3:16에 나오는 주 예수님의 말씀을 기억하십시오. “하나님이 세상을 이처럼 사랑하사 독생자를 주셨으니 이는 그를 믿는 자마다 멸망하지 않고 영생을 얻게 하려 하심이라” 또한 요한복음 5:24에서 예수님은 “내가 진실로 진실로 너희에게 이르노니 내 말을 듣고 또 나 보내신 이를 믿는 자는 영생을 얻었고…”라고 말씀하셨습니다. 따라서 만일 당신이 예수 그리스도가 하나님의 아들(인간의 육신을 입은 하나님)이시며, 당신의 죄를 위해 죽으시고, 당신을 의롭다 하시기 위해 다시 살아나셨음을 믿는다면, 당신의 영에 영생이 주어집니다.

RECEIVING THE GIFT OF ETERNAL LIFE

“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord” (Romans 6:23).

In preaching the Gospel, we must let the world know that God already made eternal life available as a gift to all men. A gift is something given voluntarily, without payment in return, usually to show favour, honour, appreciation or express love toward someone. The essence of a gift is that it’s not something you work or labour to earn; it’s free.
We read in our opening scripture that the gift of God is eternal life. God offered it freely in Jesus Christ. Isn’t that wonderful? He knew that no matter how hard we tried; our hard and good works wouldn’t qualify us to receive eternal life. Therefore, He made it available as a gift.
Recall the words of the Lord Jesus in John 3:16; “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” Also, in John 5:24, He said, “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life….” So, if you believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God (God in human flesh), and that He died on account of your sins, and was raised back to life for your justification, eternal life is imparted to your spirit.
At that moment, everything changes. You have eternal life with the blessings and grace that flow from Him. 1 John 5:11-12 says, “And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.” So if you haven’t declared His lordship over your life, do so right away. The Word declares that if you confess with your mouth “Jesus is Lord” and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved (Romans 10:9).
Turn to the Prayer of Salvation page at the back of this devotional, say the words therein and mean them from the bottom of your heart. This will bring you into salvation in Christ right away. God bless you.

PRAYER
Dear Father, I thank you for the wonderful gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ. For everyone who receives salvation today, the Name of Jesus is named upon them. They have received life from you, and Satan has no claim over them anymore; they belong to Jesus and are members of the body of Christ. Amen!

Exercise Your Authority In Christ

“내가 너희에게 뱀과 전갈을 밟으며 원수의 모든 능력을 제어할 권능을 주었으니 너희를 해칠 자가 결코 없으리라” (눅 10:19)

주 예수님은 우리에게 능력과 권세를 주셨고, 그 권세를 행사하기 위해서는 특별한 믿음이 필요하지 않습니다. 그리스도 안에서 당신의 권세와 통치권을 행사하기 위해 믿음을 ‘불러일으킬’ 필요가 없습니다. 그러므로 그리스도 안에서 당신의 자리를 차지하고 “마귀를 대적하라 그리하면 너희를 피하리라”(약 4:7)고 말씀하신 대로 행하십시오.
당신의 가족에게 반복적으로 질병이나 다른 종류의 고난이 닥쳤을 수도 있습니다. 당신의 권세를 사용하십시오! “사탄아, 나는 너에게 명령한다. 내 가정과 가족 구성원들 가운데서 너의 책략과 활동을 멈춰라! 예수 이름으로 명령한다! 모든 귀신은 무릎을 꿇고 떠날지어다!”라고 선포하십시오.
어떤 가정은 분노가 가득합니다. 모든 사람이 날카로워 보이고, 공기는 긴장감으로 가득 차 있으며, 아무도 원인을 모릅니다. 그런 가정에서 거듭난 당신은 분노의 영에 대한 권세를 행사해야 합니다. 조용한 곳으로 가서 “분노의 영아, 이 가정에서 나가라”고 말하십시오. 소리치거나 뛰어다닐 필요가 없습니다. 그저 권세를 가지고 말하며 마귀에게 떠나라고 명령하십시오.
마가복음 16:17에서 주 예수님은 “믿는 자들에게는 이런 표적이 따르리니 곧 그들이 내 이름으로 귀신을 쫓아내며…”라고 말씀하셨습니다. 마태복음 10:7-8에서는 “병든 자를 고치며 죽은 자를 살리며 나병환자를 깨끗하게 하며 귀신을 쫓아내되 너희가 거저 받았으니 거저 주라”고 말씀하셨습니다. 귀신에 의해 일어나거나 영향을 받는 상황을 인식 혹은 마주하게 된다면 타협하지 마십시오. 그리스도께서 당신에게 주신 권세를 행사하십시오.
예를 들어, 당신이 있는 곳에서 어떤 아이가 갑자기 경련을 일으키거나 발작을 일으켰다고 합시다. 마귀를 쫓아내고 다시는 돌아오지 말라고 명령하십시오. 그런 다음, 그 아이의 온전함과 완벽함을 선포하십시오. 예수님은 우리에게 귀신과 어둠의 권세에 대한 절대적인 통치권을 주셨습니다. 그러므로 예수 이름으로 그들을 쫓아내십시오. 아멘.

기도

EXERCISE YOUR AUTHORITY IN CHRIST

“Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you” (Luke 10:19).

The Lord Jesus gave us power and authority and you don’t need any special faith to exercise that authority. You don’t need to ‘work up’ faith to exercise your authority and dominion in Christ. Therefore, simply take your place in Christ and “…Resist the devil and he will flee” (James 4:7).
Perhaps there have been recurrent cases of sickness or other kinds of challenges with members of your family; exercise your authority! Declare, “Satan, I command you to stop your manoeuvres and operations in my home and amongst my family members, in the Name of Jesus! Every demon will bow and leave!
Sometimes, in some homes, there could be so much anger—everyone seems to be on edge—tension fills the air and no one knows why. You that are born again in that home should exercise authority over the demon of anger. Find a quiet place to pray, and then say, “You spirit of anger, get out of this home.” You don’t need to shout or jump around; just speak with authority and command the devil to leave.
In Mark 16:17, the Lord Jesus said, “And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils…” In Matthew 10:7-8 He said, “…Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils. Once you perceive or encounter situations that are caused or influenced by devils, don’t negotiate; exercise the authority that Christ has given you.
Take for example you were in a place where a child suddenly started convulsing or experiencing a bout of seizures; cast the devil out and command it to return no more. Then, declare wholeness and perfection for that child. Jesus gave us absolute dominion over demons and the powers of darkness; therefore, cast them out in the Name of Jesus. Amen.

PRAYER
Dear Father, I thank you for the authority you have given me in Christ Jesus. I declare that I walk in dominion, subduing every work of the enemy. By the power of the Holy Spirit, I exercise authority over every negative circumstance and demonic influence in my life, my home, and my environment. I thank you for the victory that is mine through Christ Jesus, and I live every day in the boldness of this authority, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

“예수께서 열두 제자를 불러 모으사 모든 귀신을 제어하며 병을 고치는 능력과 권위를 주시고” (눅 9:1)

POWER TO EFFECT CHANGES

“Then he called his twelve disciples together, and gave them power and authority over all devils, and to cure diseases” (Luke 9:1).

Observe what the Bible says in the opening verse. It tells us the Lord Jesus gave His disciples both power and authority. We often speak about authority, but let’s focus on power for a moment. Power is the dynamic, inherent ability to cause changes. It’s the kind of power that reproduces itself, a power that shows through tangible results. When Jesus spoke of this power, He was referring to the ability to create real change in situations.
He told us that He has given us power and authority over all devils and the ability to cure diseases. I wish that everyone who is sick, diseased or afflicted would grasp this. If they only understood that the divine ability is right there in their spirits to effect a change in their condition.
The Lord Jesus said in Acts 1:8, “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you….” Power here means the dynamic ability to effect changes, power that works like a dynamo, power with which you can create or recreate anything, power to effect changes. Put this power to work today. It’s not something that will flow into you from heaven; it’s already within you and it has the ability to cause cancer to dematerialize!
I remember once laying hands on a man who had a large growth on his back, about the size of an egg. As I placed my hand on the growth, I could feel it move beneath my palm. It was the power of God, working right there, causing the growth to move in and out as I spoke the Word. The power was effecting changes. I then commanded the growth to go, and it did! This dynamic, life-changing power is available to all who believe; put it to work today.

PRAYER
Dear Father, I thank you for enduing me with the dynamic power to effect changes and make a difference in the lives of others. As I minister your Word, your power works in me mightily, bringing healing, restoration, and deliverance to many. I’m full of faith, and I walk in this authority to transform lives for your glory, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

오늘의 본문 구절에 나오는 주님의 말씀을 공부해 보면, 그분께서 권세를 가지고 그분의 이름을 사용하는 것에 대해 말씀하셨음을 알 수 있습니다. 그분의 이름으로 위대한 일을 하는 것입니다. 예수님은 그분의 이름에 부여된 능력과 권세를 강조하시며, 이 권세가 원하는 결과를 가져오는 데 효과적임을 분명히 말씀하셨습니다. 할렐루야!
이 구절을 조금 더 살펴보겠습니다. 먼저 예수님은 “너희가 내 이름으로 무엇을 구하든지”라고 말씀하셨습니다. 여기서 구한다는 것은 무언가를 요구한다는 뜻입니다. 주 예수님은 당신이 그분의 이름으로 무언가가 일어나도록 요구하는 상황을 말씀하신 것입니다. 그런 순간에 그분은 “내가 그 일이 일어나게 할 것이다”라고 말씀하십니다. 얼마나 확실한 보장입니까! 이는 우리가 예수 이름 안에서 가지고 있는 권세를 보여줍니다.
사도행전 3장에서 베드로와 요한이 태어날 때부터 절름발이였던 사람을 만난 장면에서 그 예시를 볼 수 있습니다. 베드로는 예수 이름이 행사하는 권세를 이해하고 그저 그 이름을 사용했습니다. 베드로는 예수님께서 “너희가 내 이름으로 무엇을 구하든지 내가 행하리니”라고 말씀하셨을 때 그 의미가 무엇인지 이해했습니다.
결과적으로 베드로는 태어날 때부터 절름발이였던 사람의 치유를 요구했습니다. 성경은 말합니다. “오른손을 잡아 일으키니 발과 발목이 곧 힘을 얻고 뛰어 서서 걸으며 그들과 함께 성전으로 들어가면서 걷기도 하고 뛰기도 하며 하나님을 찬송하니”(행 3:7-8) 이것이 바로 예수님께서 말씀하신 바입니다. 권세를 가지고 예수 이름을 사용하는 것입니다.
예수님께서 요한복음 10:25에서 하신 말씀을 기억하십시오. “… 내가 너희에게 말하였으되 믿지 아니하는도다 내가 내 아버지의 이름으로 행하는 일들이 나를 증거하는 것이거늘” 그분은 우리에게 그분의 이름으로 동일한 일을 하도록 명령하셨습니다. 우리는 그분의 이름으로 무엇이든지 말하고 기적을 일으킬 수 있는 권세를 가지고 있습니다. 당신은 그분의 이름으로 부러진 뼈, 멀어버린 눈, 모든 도전적인 상황에 말할 수 있습니다. 그러면 변화가 일어날 것입니다. 하나님께 영광 드립니다!

USING HIS NAME WITH AUTHORITY

“And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it” (John 14:13-14).

When you study the words of the Master in the scripture above, you’ll realize that He was referring to using His Name with authority; doing great works in His Name. He was emphasizing the power and authority vested in His Name, making it clear to us that this authority is effective in bringing about any desired result. Hallelujah!
Let’s examine those words a bit more: first, He said, “If you shall ask anything in my name….” To ask here means to demand something. The Lord Jesus was referring to situations where you demand that something should happen in His Name. At such moments, He says, “I will cause it to happen.” What an assurance! This is a demonstration of the authority we have in His Name.
An example of this can be found in Acts chapter 3, where Peter and John encountered a man who had been crippled from birth. Peter simply used the Name of Jesus with the understanding of the authority that it wields. He understood what Jesus meant when He said, “And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do.”
As a result, Peter demanded healing for the man who was crippled from birth. The Bible says, “And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength. And he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God” (Acts 3:7-8). This is precisely what Jesus was talking about—using His Name with authority.
Recall what He said in John 10:25, “…I told you, and ye believed not: the works that I do in my Father’s name, they bear witness of me.” He commissioned us to do the same in His Name. We have the authority to speak to anything in His Name and have a miracle. You can speak to broken bones, blind eyes, and every challenging situation in His Name, and there’ll be a change. Glory to God!
When you speak in His Name, He’s present with divine power to ensure that your words come to pass. He guarantees the results. This is the authority we’ve been given; it’s power beyond this world; power to change circumstances in His Name. Hallelujah!

PRAYER
Dear Father, thank you for the authority in the Name of Jesus. As I speak and act in His Name, every situation aligns with your will. Sickness, disease, poverty, and every contrary condition bow to the Name of Jesus. I walk in this authority, manifesting your power in every area of my life, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

THE SUPPLANTING OF YOUR HUMAN LIFE

“And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son” (1 John 5:11).

One of the fundamental truths that must shape your perception of who you are in Christ and what actually transpired when you were born again is the fact that the human life with which you were born by your biological parents has been supplanted by the life of God. That human life, which was marked by sin and frailty, fraught with darkness and limitations, is supplanted by the divine essence of Christ Himself.
This is one of the greatest revelations of Christianity. Think about the fact that the divine nature of God has been transferred into a human being! This divine life is referred to as eternal life. John 3:16 (NIV), says, “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”
That’s the life you have now that Christ lives in you: “And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life” (1 John 5:11-12).
It’s this divine nature that sets Christianity apart from the religions of the world. 2 Peter 1:4 says we’re partakers of the divine nature, associates of the God-kind. This is the heart of the Gospel: the exchange of your frail human life for the glorious, indestructible life of God. Hallelujah!

Dear Father, I thank you for the life of Christ in me; sickness, diseases and infirmities can’t thrive in my body because I have eternal life. The divine life in me has gained ascendancy over my spirit, soul, and body, and I walk in absolute dominion over Satan and the elements of this world, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

God’s One And Only

“본래 하나님을 본 사람이 없으되 아버지 품 속에 있는 독생하신 하나님이 나타내셨느니라” (요 1:18)

GOD’S ONE AND ONLY

“No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him” (John 1:18).

What we just read provides one of the most extraordinary expressions of the Son of God. It emphasizes that no one has seen God face to face, which is a significant point. Then it refers to Jesus as the “only begotten Son.” The Greek term used for begotten is “Monogenēs,” which means the one and only or one of a kind, unique, with no other like Him. Jesus is described here as the only born Son of the Father.
But then we see something extraordinary about His mission, what He was born to do, in the latter part of our theme verse: He came to make the Father known: “No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.” The word declared is from the Greek, “exēgeomai” which means that Jesus, God’s born-Son, came to rehearse God to men. He came to show us what God is like in human form. He came to declare and act out the nature of God.
Now, think about this: the life that He had is what He’s given you (1 John 5:11-12). And the Bible says as He is, so are we in this world (1 John 4:17). So, today, He’s called the “first begotten of the dead” (Revelation 1:5). This is because He heads up a new species, a new class of “Monogenēs”—people who have now been born of God as a result of the resurrection of Jesus Christ—by virtue of the New Birth (1 Peter 1:3).
Recall what the Bible says in 1 John 3:1, “Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God….” We’re born-sons of God: “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God” (John 1:12-13). James 1:18 says, “Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.” We’re the first and the best; the one and only or one of a kind, unique. PRAYER
Dear Father, thank you for the blessing of eternal life for everyone who hears and receives the message of the Gospel. Today, many will hear and understand the depth of your love and the invitation to be born again and receive the divine life as the Gospel is preached around the world, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Intimacy With The Holy Spirit

성령님과 개인적이고 친밀한 관계를 발전시키는 근본적인 원리는 하나님의 말씀과 기도를 통해 이루어집니다. 말씀을 통해 그분께 자신을 내어드리고, 기도를 통해 그분과의 관계를 더 깊어지게 하는 것이 중요합니다. 어떤 관계이든지 소통이 없는 관계는 죽습니다. 부모와 자녀의 관계, 부부의 관계, 직장 동료의 관계 등 어떤 관계이든지 소통이 없다면 관계는 죽습니다.
반면에 좋은 대화는 관계를 발전시키고 강화합니다. 성령님과 더 풍성한 교제를 나누고 싶다면, 기도 가운데 그분과 효과적으로 교제해야 합니다. 성령님은 인격적인 분이시며, 당신은 그분과 인격적으로 관계를 맺어야 합니다. 오늘의 본문 구절을 다시 읽어보십시오. 이는 우리가 주님과 어떤 관계를 가져야 하는지 알려줍니다.

INTIMACY WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT

“The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen” (2 Corinthians 13:14).

The foundational principles of developing personal and intimate relationship with the Holy Spirit is through the Word of God and prayer. It’s important to yield to Him through the Word, and deepen your relationship with Him through prayer. Every relationship without communication dies, irrespective of what that relationship is; whether it’s the relationship between parents and their children, spouses, co-workers, etc.
On the other hand, good communication nourishes and enhances relationships. If you’re going to have a richer fellowship with the Holy Spirit, you need to commune effectively with Him in prayer. He’s a person, and you’ve got to relate to Him as a person. Read our opening scripture again; it indicates the kind of relationship we’re supposed to have with the Lord.
The Father is in heaven, and Jesus has gone to heaven; only the Holy Spirit is here with us. The God we know and relate to today is the Holy Spirit. He makes the presence of the Father, and the presence of Jesus real to you. So, learn to talk to Him. That’s why speaking in tongues is also vital. Speak in tongues often.
The Apostle Paul serves as a great example of a successful Christian and minister, and one of his secrets was fellowship with the Holy Spirit through prayer. He said, “I thank my God, I speak with tongues more than ye all” (1 Corinthians 14:18). If Paul realized it was necessary for him to speak in tongues so much that he could say he spoke with tongues more than the whole Corinthian church, then you must recognize its importance. Speak in tongues every day and every so often, and build a sturdy relationship with the Holy Spirit.

PRAYER

Out Of The Jurisdiction Of Darkness

“그가 우리를 흑암의 권세에서 건져내사 그의 사랑의 아들의 나라로 옮기셨으니” (골 1:13)

그리스도 예수 안에 있는 우리의 구원의 또 다른 중요한 축복은 흑암의 관할권에서 벗어나는 것입니다. 구원이 무엇인지에 대해 이전에 배운 내용을 기억해 보십시오. 구원은 구출, 온전함, 보호입니다. 첫 번째 단계는 죄를 제거하는 것이었습니다. 예수님은 당신의 죄를 없애시고, 당신을 흑암의 권세에서 구출하셨습니다. 이제 당신은 흑암의 영향력과 통제에서 벗어났습니다.

예수님은 우리에게 귀신을 쫓아내라고 말씀하셨습니다. 마가복음 16:17은 말합니다. “믿는 자들에게는 이런 표적이 따르리니 곧 그들이 내 이름으로 귀신을 쫓아내며 새 방언을 말하며.” 그리고 누가복음 10:19에서 예수님은 “내가 너희에게 뱀과 전갈을 밟으며 원수의 모든 능력을 제어할 권능을 주었으니 너희를 해칠 자가 결코 없으리라.”고 말씀하셨습니다. 그분은 당신에게 뱀과 전갈을 밟으며 원수의 모든 능력을 제어할 권세와 통치권을 주셨습니다. 할렐루야!
귀신을 두려워하지 마십시오. 귀신은 당신의 발아래 있습니다. 성경은 하나님께서 우리를 일으켜 함께 살리시고, 그리스도 예수 안에서 함께 하늘에 앉히셨다고 말합니다(엡 2:6). 당신은 그분의 사랑의 아들의 왕국, 곧 생명과 불멸이 다스리는 왕국에 살고 있습니다. 그 왕국은 빛의 왕국입니다. 하나님을 찬양합니다!

OUT OF THE JURISDICTION OF DARKNESS

“Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son” (Colossians 1:13).

Another vital blessing of our salvation in Christ Jesus is deliverance from the jurisdiction of darkness. Recall what we said salvation is in one of our previous studies: deliverance, wholeness, and preservation. The first step was the removal of sin. Jesus took away your sins, and delivered you from the dominion of darkness. You’re now separated from the influence and control of darkness.
Ephesians 1:20-21 says you’re seated with Christ in heavenly places, “Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come.” Can you see why, having received salvation, you don’t need another deliverance from Satan? You’re superior to Satan.
Jesus told us to cast out demons; Mark 16:17, “And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out demons; they shall speak with new tongues.” In Luke 10:19, He said, “Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.” He’s given you control, authority and dominion to tread on serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy. Hallelujah!
Never be afraid of demons; they’re under your feet. The Bible says God has raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus (Ephesians 2:6). You live in the Kingdom of His Love-Son where life and immortality reigns; and it’s a Kingdom of light. Praise God!

PRAYER
Dear Father, I thank you for translating me into the Kingdom of your dear Son, Jesus Christ. Satan has no authority over me, for I live in the glorious Kingdom of Light. I walk in victory, free from the control of darkness, and I reign in life through Christ. Amen.
