Grace, Truth, Righteousness And Peace

“참으로 그분의 구원이 그분을 두려워하는 자들에게 가까이 있으니 이로써 영광이 우리 땅에 거하리로다. 긍휼과 진리가 같이 만나고 의와 화평이 서로 입 맞추었으며”(시 85:9-10, 한글흠정역)

시편 85편에서 시편 기자는 구원과 땅 사이의 중요한 관계를 예언적으로 보여줍니다. 그런 다음 10절에서 그는 예언적으로 아름다운 비유를 말합니다. “긍휼과 진리가 같이 만나고 의와 화평이 서로 입 맞추었으며” 여기 나오는 “자비”는 히브리어 “헤세드”로 “인애”로 번역되기도 합니다.

구약에서 말하는 “인애”는 신약에서 “은혜”와 동일합니다. 이는 하나님의 넘치는 호의입니다. 그리고 이 인애는 종종 언약을 통해 표현되었습니다. NLT 번역본은 이 단어를 “변함없는 사랑”이라고 부릅니다. 이 사랑은 하나님이 그분의 백성들과 맺으신 깨지지 않는 언약에 기초하고, 믿을 수 있으며 신뢰할 수 있기 때문입니다. “변함없는 사랑과 진리가 만납니다. 의와 화평이 입 맞춥니다!”(시 85:10, NLT번역본)

사도 바울은 로마서 5장에 나오는 아름다운 설교에서 “그러므로 우리가 믿음으로 의롭다 하심을 받았으니 우리 주 예수 그리스도로 말미암아 하나님과 화평을 누리자”(롬 5:1)고 말하며 상기시킵니다.

따라서, 시편 기자의 예언적 고백은 오늘날 우리, 즉 그리스도 안에 있는 새로운 피조물 안에서 성취됩니다. 우리 안에서 긍휼과 진리가 같이 만나고, 의와 화평이 서로 입 맞춥니다. 하나님을 송축합니다!

이것이 왜 그렇게 중요합니까? 그 당시 사람들은 대부분 농부였으며 그들의 번영은 땅에서 나는 것에 달려있는 경우가 많았습니다. 성경은 말합니다. “진리는 땅에서 솟아나고 의는 하늘에서 굽어보도다 여호와께서 좋은 것을 주시리니 우리 땅이 그 산물을 내리로다”(시 85:11-12) 시편 기자는 당시 사람들과 관련 있는 땅으로 설명했습니다. 기억하십시오. 이는 시편 기자 시대에 예언적인 고백이었습니다. 이것은 하나님의 축복, 구원, 의와 땅, 즉 당신의 나라와의 관계를 보여줍니다. 그것들은 땅에서 일어나는 일의 열쇠입니다. 즉, 긍휼과 진리, 의와 화평의 결과로 땅에 번영, 온전함, 건강이 있을 것입니다. 할렐루야!

GRACE, TRUTH, RIGHTEOUSNESS AND PEACE

“Surely his salvation is nigh them that fear him; that glory may dwell in our land. Mercy and truth are met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other”(Psalm 85:9- 10).

In Psalm 85, the Psalmist prophetically shows a significant relationship between salvation and the land. Then, in the 10th verse, he prophetically paints a beautiful imagery: “Mercy and truth are met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other.” The Hebrew word translated “mercy” is ‘chêsêd,’ which is often translated as “lovingkindness.”

What we have as loving-kindness in the Old Testament is the equivalent of grace in the New Testament. It represents God’s unmerited favour; and this lovingkindness was often expressed through covenants. The New Living Translation calls it “unfailing love” because it was based on the unbroken covenant God had with His people, making it reliable and trustworthy: “Unfailing love and truth have met together. Righteousness and peace have kissed!” (Psalm 85:10, NLT).

The Apostle Paul, in his beautiful discourse in Romans 5 brings this to mind when he said, “Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ” (Romans 5:1).

Thus, the psalmist’s prophetic utterance finds fulfilment in us today—the new creation in Christ. In us, grace and truth have met together, righteousness and peace have kissed each other. Blessed be God!

Why is that so important? In those times, they were mostly farmers, and their prosperity often depended on what came out of the land. The Bible says, “Truth shall spring out of the earth; and righteousness shall look down from heaven. Yea, the LORD shall give that which is good; and our land shall yield her increase” (Psalm 85:11-12). This was how the psalmist could relate with it; and remember, it was still prophetic in his time. This shows the relationship of God’s blessings, salvation and righteousness with the land, that is, your nation or your country; they are key to what happens in the earth. In other words, as a result of grace and truth, righteousness and peace, there will be prosperity, wholeness and wellness in the earth. Hallelujah!

PRAYER

Dear Father, I thank you for the revelation of your Word and the understanding of your righteousness. I walk in the fullness of your grace and truth, righteousness and peace, therefore, I speak prosperity, peace, justice, progress, wellness and wholeness to my country and the nations of the world, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

죽음이 없는 길

The Death-Free Pathway

“의의 길에는 생명이 있고 죽음이 없다.”(잠 12:28, 우리말성경)

오늘의 본문 구절은 구약에 있지만, 신약에도 적용되는 원리의 기초가 됩니다. “의의 길에는 생명이 있고…” 그리스도의 의는 우리에게 영생을 주었습니다. 우리는 하나님을 기쁘시게 할 수 없었지만, 예수님이 우리를 대신해서 그렇게 하셨습니다.

아담은 하나님께 불순종하고 하나님께 반역을 일으켰습니다. 그러나 두 번째이자 마지막 아담이신 예수 그리스도께서 하나님의 뜻을 이루셨고, 그분의 순종으로 우리가 의롭게 되었습니다. “그런즉 한 범죄로 많은 사람이 정죄에 이른 것 같이 한 의로운 행위로 말미암아 많은 사람이 의롭다 하심을 받아 생명에 이르렀느니라 한 사람이 순종하지 아니함으로 많은 사람이 죄인 된 것 같이 한 사람이 순종하심으로 많은 사람이 의인이 되리라”(롬 5:18-19)

오늘의 본문 구절의 의미에 대해 생각해 보십시오. “의의 길에는 생명이 있고 죽음이 없다.” 의의 길에는 죽음이 설 곳이 없습니다. 그 길은 죽음이 없는 길입니다.

로마서 8:2은 말합니다. “이는 그리스도 예수 안에 있는 생명의 성령의 법이 죄와 사망의 법에서 너를 해방하였음이라” 이 구절을 그리스어로 보면, 죄에 갇힌 사람이 죄에서 구출되거나, 죽음에 사로잡혀 있던 사람이 구조되거나 구출된다는 뜻이 아닙니다. 오히려 그리스도 예수 안에 있는 당신은 죽음에서 해방되었다는 의미입니다. 당신 안에는 죽음이 없습니다.

인간의 몸은 로마서 7:24에서 “사망의 몸”으로 언급됩니다. 사람은 태어난 순간부터 그 안에 죽음을 가지고 있습니다. 그리고 죽지 않기 위한 모든 일을 합니다. 이는 인류가 이 세상 안에 있는 죽음의 저주를 물려받았기 때문입니다.

그래서 바울은 “오호라 나는 곤고한 사람이로다 이 사망의 몸에서 누가 나를 건져내랴”(롬 7:24)고 말합니다. 그 다음 절에서는 “우리 주 예수 그리스도로 말미암아 하나님께 감사하리로다…”(롬 7:25)고 말합니다. 예수님은 해결책을 주셨습니다. 그리스도 예수 안에 있는 생명의 성령의 법이 우리를 사망에서 해방시켰습니다. 하나님을 찬양합니다!

기도

THE DEATH-FREE PATHWAY

“In the way of righteousness is life; and in the pathway thereof there is no death”(Proverbs 12:28).

Though the verse above is in the Old Testament, it lays the groundwork for a principle that extends into the New Testament. It says, “In the way of righteousness is life….” The righteousness of Christ gave us eternal life. We couldn’t please God, but Jesus did in our behalf.

Remember that Adam disobeyed God and committed high treason against God. But Jesus Christ, the second and last Adam, fulfilled God’s will and on account of His obedience, we’ve been made righteous: “Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life. For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.”(Romans 5:18-19)

Consider again the construction in our opening verse: “In the way of righteousness is life; and in the pathway thereof there is no death.” In the path of righteousness, death has no place; it’s a “death-free pathway.”

The Bible says in Romans 8:2, “For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.” The Greek construction here isn’t referring to being delivered from sin as if you were trapped in it, or being rescued or delivered from death as if you were in its clutches. Rather, it’s saying that in Christ Jesus, you’re death-free; there’s no death in you.

The human body is referred to as the “body of death” in Romans 7:24. From the moment a person is born, they carry death within them. Everything is done to prevent the person from dying. This is because humanity inherited the curse of death in the world.

So Paul says, “O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?” (Romans 7:24). The very next verse says, “I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord….” (Romans 7:25). Jesus provided the solution; the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made us death-free. Praise God!

PRAYER

Dear Father, thank you for the righteousness of Christ by which I have eternal life. Therefore, I walk in righteousness; and in my path, there’s no sickness, infirmity, pain, weakness or death, for the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me death-free. Amen.

Peace – The Work Of Righteousness

“이같이 너희 빛이 사람 앞에 비치게 하여 그들로 너희 착한 행실을 보고 하늘에 계신 너희 아버지께 영광을 돌리게 하라”(마 5:16)

이사야 32:17은 말합니다. “공의의 열매는 화평이요 공의의 결과는 영원한 평안과 안전이라” 우리는 그리스도 예수 안에서 하나님의 의입니다(고후 5:21). 그러므로 성경이 의의 열매가 평안이라고 말할 때, 그것은 당신이 자신의 본성의 결과로 무엇을 열매 맺어야 하는지 말하는 것입니다. 당신이 해야 할 일은 화평을 이루는 것입니다.

“화평”이라는 단어는 히브리어 “샬롬”에서 유래되었으며, 건강, 번영을 포함한 사람이 행복하게 사는 데 필요한 모든 것의 총합을 의미합니다. 따라서, 당신의 일은 건강, 번영, 평안을 열매 맺는 것입니다. 주 예수님이 요한복음 9:5에서 하신 말씀을 기억하십시오. “내가 세상에 있는 동안에는 세상의 빛이로라.”

우리 하나님은 화평의 하나님이십니다. 그러므로, 열방의 화평은 하나님의 뜻입니다. 주 예수님은 요한복음 14:27에서 “평안을 너희에게 끼치노니 곧 나의 평안을 너희에게 주노라…”고 말씀하셨습니다. 오늘날 세상은 평안을 너무나 필요로 합니다. 그리고 그 평안은 오직 예수님만 주실 수 있습니다. 우리는 기도, 복음전파, 의의 행위를 통해 다른 사람들과 열방이 이 놀라운 평안의 삶을 경험하도록 돕는 사람들입니다.

디모데전서 2:1-2은 말합니다. “그러므로 내가 첫째로 권하노니 모든 사람을 위하여 간구와 기도와 도고와 감사를 하되 임금들과 높은 지위에 있는 모든 사람을 위하여 하라 이는 우리가 모든 경건과 단정함으로 고요하고 평안한 생활을 하려 함이라” 이것이 다입니다! 우리가 의의 일들을 하면서 모든 사람을 위해 기도할 때, 번영, 탁월함, 보존, 안식을 위한 특별한 은혜가 있는 화평이 열방과 사람들의 마음을 덮을 것입니다. 오늘날 세상에 어떤 혼란, 고통, 문제가 있든지 당신의 도시와 나라의 화평, 건강, 번영을 명하십시오.

기도

사랑하는 아버지, 나는 당신의 뜻과 의의 본성의 표현입니다. 내가 가는 곳마다 당신의 평안, 건강, 번영을 집행합니다. 나는 예수 이름으로 내 도시와 나라에 화평을 명합니다. 나는 원수는 통치권을 잃을 것이고 당신의 뜻이 승리할 것이라 선포합니다. 나는 당신이 내게 주신 권세 안에서 행하며, 도움이 필요한 세상에 당신의 빛과 진리를 전합니다. 이 영광을 주시니 감사합니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

PEACE—THE WORK OF RIGHTEOUSNESS

“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven”(Matthew 5:16).

Isaiah 32:17 says, “And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance forever.” We’re the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus (2 Corinthians 5:21). So, when the Bible talks about the work of righteousness being peace, it’s telling you what you must produce as a result of your nature: your work is to establish peace.

The word “peace” is from the Hebrew “shâlôm” and it refers to the totality of the human welfare—health, prosperity, etc. So, your work is to produce health, prosperity, and peace. Remember the words of the Lord Jesus in John 9:5. He said, “As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.”

He didn’t say those things just to distinguish Himself alone; He said it so we would know to speak accordingly. You’re the bearer of His peace. Places where there had been war, bloodshed, hostilities, and wanton destruction of lives and properties can have peace when you show up; darkness is dispelled and the righteousness of God is established. Hallelujah!

Our God is the God of peace. Therefore, peace in the nations is His will. The Lord Jesus said in John 14:27, “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you….” how the world needs this today—the peace that only Jesus gives. We’re the ones to help others and the nations experience this extraordinary life of peace through prayer, the preaching of the Gospel and our works of righteousness.

1 Timothy 2:1-2 says, “I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.” That’s it! Peace with extraordinary grace for prosperity, excellence, preservation and rest will mantle the nations and hearts of men as we pray for all men, as we carry out the works of righteousness. So it makes no difference the turmoil, distress and troubles in today’s world, decree peace, health, and prosperity for your city and nation.

PRAYER

Dear Father, I’m the expression of your will and nature of righteousness, and I enforce your peace, health, and prosperity wherever I go. In the Name of Jesus, I decree peace over my city and nation. I declare that the enemy will not have the dominion, and your will shall prevail. I walk in the authority you have given me, spreading your light and truth to a world in need. Thank you for this honour, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

승리하는 삶으로 태어났습니다

Born Into The Victorious Life

“누가 우리를 그리스도의 사랑에서 끊으리요 환난이나 곤고나 박해나 기근이나 적신이나 위험이나 칼이랴 … 그러나 이 모든 일에 우리를 사랑하시는 이로 말미암아 우리가 넉넉히 이기느니라”(롬 8:35-37)

인플레이션, 경기 침체, 건강 문제, 가족 문제 등에 이르기까지 당신은 여러 시련과 어려움을 겪을 수 있습니다. 그러나 좋은 소식은 당신이 개인적으로 직면한 어려움이나 국가적 상황은 중요하지 않다는 것입니다. 말씀은 이 모든 일에 그리스도로 말미암아 우리가 정복자보다 더 나은 자라고 말합니다. 이 말씀은 당신에게 위로, 평안, 기쁨을 줍니다.

주 예수님은 우리가 이 세상에서 어려움을 겪게 될 것을 아시고 요한복음 16:33에서 우리에게 승리를 보장해 주셨습니다. “담대하라 내가 세상을 이기었노라” 인간의 타락과 실패로 인해 모든 인간 사회에는 많은 고통스러운 상황들이 펼쳐집니다. 그러나 말씀은 “이 모든 일에 우리를 사랑하시는 이로 말미암아 우리가 넉넉히 이기느니라”(롬 8:37)고 선포합니다.

당신은 이 세상의 타락과 부패한 영향력 위에 높이 들어올려졌습니다. 오늘의 본문 구절을 다시 떠올려 보십시오. 환난, 곤고, 박해, 기근, 적신, 위험, 칼이 우리를 하나님의 사랑에서 끊을 수 없음을 분명히 말하고 있습니다.

이 구절이 당신이 세상에서 어떤 일을 만나더라도 승리한다는 의미였더라도 놀라웠을 것입니다. 그러나 이 구절은 그보다 훨씬 더 큰 의미를 갖습니다. 당신은 그리스도 안에서 승리했기 때문에 당신은 이미 승리한 상태에 살고 있다는 뜻입니다. 당신은 지금 그리스도의 승리 안에 살고 있습니다!

당신이 이미 승리했기 때문에 더 이상 승리하기 위해 애쓰거나 노력할 필요가 없다는 뜻입니다. 삶의 환경이나 국가의 경제 상황이 당신을 피해자로 만들도록 허용하지 마십시오. 거듭났을 때 당신은 승리하는 삶으로 태어났습니다.

이제 당신은 사도 바울이 큰 박해와 역경을 가벼운 환난으로 여긴 이유를 이해할 수 있습니다. “우리가 잠시 받는 환난의 경한 것이 지극히 크고 영원한 영광의 중한 것을 우리에게 이루게 함이니”(고후 4:17) 그리고 나서 바울은 사도행전 20:24에서 이렇게 말했습니다. “이 일들 중 어떤 것도 결코 나를 움직이지 못하며…”(한글흠정역)

기도

사랑하는 아버지, 그리스도 안에서 내가 누리는 승리의 삶에 감사드립니다! 더 크신 분이 내 안에 계시기 때문에 나는 완전한 성취, 기쁨, 영광, 다스림 안에서 환경들을 이기며 삽니다. 내가 느끼거나, 보거나, 듣는 것과 상관없이 나는 당신의 말씀으로 다스리고 통치합니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

BORN INTO THE VICTORIOUS LIFE

“Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?…Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us”(Romans 8:35-37).

You could have trials and challenges, from inflation to economic recession, health issues, family problems, etc. The good news, however, is that it doesn’t matter the challenges you face or the situation in your country; the Word says, in all these things we’re more than conquerors through Christ. This should give you comfort, peace, and joy.

Knowing we would encounter challenges in this world, the Lord Jesus assured us of victory when He said in John 16:33, “… be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.” Distressing situations abound in all human societies because of man’s fall and failure; but the Word declares “in all these things we’re more than conquerors, through Him that loved us” (Romans 8:37).

You’ve been lifted over and above the depravities and corrupting influences of this world. Recall our opening verse again; it states clearly that neither tribulation, distress, persecution, famine, nakedness, peril, nor sword can separate us from the love of God, because in spite of them all, we are more than conquerors.

Now, if this meant that no matter what you face in this world, you’d conquer, that would have been wonderful. But it means much more than that. It means you’ve gone past conquering, because you conquered in Christ! You’re now living in the victory of Christ!

That means there’s nothing to struggle with or try to overcome anymore, because you’ve already won. Don’t allow the circumstances of life or the economic situation in your country make you a victim. You were born into the victorious life when you were born again.

Now you can understand why the Apostle Paul, in spite of the great persecutions and adversities he faced dismissed them as light affliction: “For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory” (2 Corinthians 4:17). Then in Acts 20:24, he said, “None of these things move me….”

PRAYER

Dear Father, I thank you for the victorious life that I have in Christ! The greater One lives in me, therefore, I live in triumph over circumstances, in total fulfillment, joy, glory and dominion! I reign and rule by your Word, irrespective of what I feel, see, or hear, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

The Mystery Of The Godhead

“하나님의 성품의 신비는 논쟁의 여지가 없이 위대하도다. 하나님께서 육체 안에 나타나시고 성령 안에서 의롭게 되시고 천사들에게 보이시고 이방인들에게 선포되시고 세상에서 믿기시고 영광 속으로 올려져서 영접을 받으셨느니라.”(딤전 3:16, 한글흠정역)

성경에 대한 바른 이해가 부족하여 예수님의 신성에 대해 헷갈려하는 사람들이 있습니다. 그러나 성경은 이에 대해 분명하게 말합니다. 오늘의 본문 구절 역시 하나님이라 언급되신 분이 예수님이라는 사실에 대해 의심의 여지가 없습니다.

어떤 사람들은 “예수님이 하나님이시라면 어떻게 에베소서 1:19-20의 내용처럼 하늘에서 자신의 우편에 앉을 수 있습니까?”라고 묻습니다. 먼저, 당신은 다양한 방식으로 자신을 나타내실 수 있는 그분의 특별한 본성을 이해해야 합니다. 이것이 바로 하나님의 본성의 신비입니다.

성경은 성부, 성자, 성령 안에 있는 신성한 본성에 대해 알려줍니다. 한 하나님이시지만 다른 세 인격으로 나타나십니다. 우리는 천국에 세 하나님이 계시거나, 한 보좌에 아버지가, 다른 보좌에 아들이, 그리고 세 번째 보좌에 성령님이 계시는 것을 결코 볼 수 없을 것입니다! 예수님 안에 신성의 모든 충만이 거하시므로 우리가 보는 것은 오직 예수님입니다(골 2:9).

THE MYSTERY OF THE GODHEAD

“And great and important and weighty, we confess, is the hidden truth (the mystic secret) of godliness. He [God] was made visible in human flesh, justified and vindicated in the [Holy] Spirit, was seen by angels, preached among the nations, believed on in the world, [and] taken up in glory”(1 Timothy 3:16 AMPC).

There’re those who due to lack of proper understanding of the Scriptures are confused about the deity of Jesus. The Scriptures are unambiguous about it. Even the portion we just read in our theme verse leaves no one in doubt as to the fact that the one being referred to as God is Jesus.

Some have asked, ” If Jesus is God, how can He set Himself at his own right hand in the heavenly places as stated in Ephesians 1:19-20?” First, you have to understand the extraordinary nature of God in which He’s able to manifest Himself in different ways; it’s the mystery of His nature.

The Bible tells us about the divine nature of the Godhead in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit; one God, but manifests in three separate persons. We’re never going to see three Gods in Heaven, or three thrones with the Father sitting on one, and the Son on another, and then the Holy Spirit on the third one; no! It’s only Jesus, because in Him dwells the fullness of the Godhead bodily (Colossians 2:9).

Colossians 1:19 says, “For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell.” Recall at the baptism of Jesus, as He came out of the water, the heavens opened, and the Holy Spirit descended on Jesus. Simultaneously, a voice spoke from heaven and said, “This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” (Matthew 3:17).

What an extraordinary manifestation of the three persons: The Son is baptized in water, and right away He’s filled with the Holy Spirit, and the Father speaks from heaven! The first time the angels saw God almighty in a body was when Jesus was born in Bethlehem. The Bible says, “And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us…” (John 1:14). God became flesh and dwelt among us, and yet His presence and His voice would speak from heaven. Amazing!

CONFESSION

I worship the Lord Jesus, for in Him dwells all the fullness of the divine perfection, powers and attributes of divinity. Lord, you’re the complete embodiment of Deity, the outward expression or image of the invisible God. You’re the king eternal, gracious, loving and kind! I love you with all my heart! Blessed be your Name forever!

Reigning By Him

“한 사람의 범죄로 말미암아 사망이 그 한 사람을 통하여 왕 노릇 하였은즉 더욱 은혜와 의의 선물을 넘치게 받는 자들은 한 분 예수 그리스도를 통하여 생명 안에서 왕 노릇 하리로다”(롬 5:17)

많은 사람들은 오늘의 본문 구절이 우리가 예수 그리스도와 함께 천국에서 다스리는 것을 뜻한다고 생각합니다. 아닙니다! 위 구절은 우리가 지금 예수 그리스도에 의해 이 땅을 다스리는 것, 즉 “왕노릇”하는 것에 대해 말하는 것입니다. 천년왕국 시기에 우리는 그리스도와 함께 다스릴 것입니다. 그러나 오늘날 우리는 그리스도에 의해 혹은 그분을 통해 다스립니다. 이 두 가지 사이에는 큰 차이가 있습니다.

바울이 우리를 위해 로마서 5:17에서 얘기한 내용과 요한계시록 20:6의 내용은 다릅니다. “… 그들이 하나님과 그리스도의 제사장이 되어 천 년 동안 그리스도와 더불어 왕 노릇 하리라”(계 20:6) “그리스도와 더불어 왕 노릇 하리라” 밑줄 그은 부분을 주목해서 보십시오. “더불어”라는 단어는 그리스어 “메타”에서 번역되었으며, 다른 사람과 함께 또는 나란히 무언가를 하는 것을 의미합니다. 이것은 미래에 올 일입니다. 그러므로 우리는 지금 그리스도와 함께 다스리고 있지 않습니다.

반면, 로마서 5:17에서는 ‘~에 의해’ 혹은 ‘~를 통해서’라는 뜻의 그리스어 “디아”가 사용되었습니다. 따라서, 우리는 지금 그리스도에 의해 혹은 그리스도를 통해 다스리고 있습니다. 우리는 그분의 이름으로 다스립니다. 할렐루야! 우리는 예수 그리스도를 통해 다스리고 삶의 주인이자 승리자로 살도록 부름 받았습니다. 우리는 사탄, 어둠, 세상, 모든 피조물을 다스립니다.

“다스리다”라는 단어의 실제 그리스어 번역은 “왕노릇하다”입니다. 당신은 삶에서 왕노릇 해야 합니다. 확대번역본은 “오직 한 분 그리스도(메시아, 기름부음 받은 자)를 통해 삶에서 왕처럼 다스리십시오”라고 말합니다.

REIGNING BY HIM

“For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.”(Romans 5:17).

Many think that the verse above refers to us reigning with Jesus Christ in the sweet-by-and-by; no! It’s talking about us reigning—“kinging”—in the earth NOW by Jesus Christ. At the millennial reign, we will reign with Him; but today, we reign by Him or through Him. There’s a great difference between the two.

What Paul captures for us in Romans 5:17 is different from Revelation 20:6 which says, “…they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.” Notice that here, it says, “and shall reign with him….” The word “with” is translated from the Greek, “meta” which denotes to do something together with another or alongside. That’s the one that’s coming in the future. So, now, we’re not reigning with Christ.

In Romans 5:17 the Greek word Dia’ is used, which means ‘by’ or ‘through.’ Thus, we’re reigning by or through Jesus NOW; we’re reigning in His Name. Hallelujah! We’re called to exercise dominion and to live as masters and victors in life through Jesus Christ. We reign over Satan, darkness, the world and all creation.

The actual Greek rendering of the word “reign” means “to king.” You’re supposed to be “kinging” in life. The Amplified translation says we “…reign as kings in life through the one Man Jesus Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One).”

As we take up the responsibility of prayer, using the Name of Jesus and operating in His stead, we enforce the Father’s will in the earth, and establish His righteousness in the nations of the world!

PRAYER

In the Name of the Lord Jesus, I exercise dominion over circumstances and the spirits of darkness, for they are subject unto me. I enforce the heavenly Father’s will in the earth, and establish His righteousness, peace, prosperity, wholeness and wellness, in the nations of the world. Amen.

Unrivalled Authority In His Name

“예수께서 나아와 말씀하여 이르시되 하늘과 땅의 모든 권세를 내게 주셨으니”(마 28:18)

어떤 사람들은 국가, 도시, 거리 등 특정 장소에서 권위가 있다고 자랑하고, 어떤 사람들은 교실에서조차 불량배가 되어 친구들을 위협하기도 하지만, 우주를 초월하여 온 천국과 땅 위와 땅 아래까지 미치는 권위를 가진 분도 있습니다. 그분의 이름은 예수이십니다! 하나님을 축복합니다!

성경은 어느 누구도 주님의 통치, 다스림, 권세에서 벗어날 수 없다고 말합니다. 에베소서 1:20-22은 그분이 행사하시는 비길 데 없고, 비교할 수 없는 권세에 대해 더 많은 빛을 비춰줍니다. “… 죽은 자들 가운데서 다시 살리시고 하늘에서 자기의 오른편에 앉히사 모든 통치와 권세와 능력과 주권과 이 세상뿐 아니라 오는 세상에 일컫는 모든 이름 위에 뛰어나게 하시고 또 만물을 그의 발 아래 복종하게 하시고 그를 만물 위에 교회의 머리로 삼으셨느니라”

가장 기쁜 사실은 우리가 주님과 하나됨으로 그분의 권세가 우리에게 주어졌다는 것입니다. 우리는 그분의 씨이며 그분의 날을 연장시킵니다. 그분은 우리를 통해 다스리십니다. 이사야 9:6은 말합니다. “… 그의 어깨에는 정사를 메었고…” 그분의 어깨는 교회, 즉 우리를 가리킵니다. 우리는 그분의 몸이며, 그분은 오늘날 우리 안에서 그리고 우리를 통해 말씀하시고 행하십니다.

UNRIVALLED AUTHORITY IN HIS NAME

“And Jesus came and spoke unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in Earth”(Matthew 28:18).

Some people brag about having authority in specific places, perhaps in a nation, city, street etc. For some, it’s even in classrooms such that they become bullies and terrorize their classmates. But there’s one whose authority transcends the universe and extends to all of heaven, the earth, and under the earth. His Name is Jesus! Blessed be God!

The Bible says no one and nothing is exempted from His rule, His dominion and authority. Ephesians 1:20-22 sheds more light on the unrivalled and unparalleled authority that He wields. It says, “God raised him from death and set him on a throne in deep heaven, in charge of running the universe, everything from galaxies to governments, no name and no power exempt from his rule. And not just for the time being, but forever. He is in charge of it all, has the final word on everything….”

The most exhilarating part of this is the fact that His authority is given to us because we’re one with Him. We’re His seed and we prolong His days. He rules through us. Isaiah 9:6 says, “…and the government shall be upon his shoulder….” His shoulder refers to the Church— us; we’re His body in and through which He speaks and acts today.

This should help you understand why, soon after He affirmed in Matthew 28:18 that all authority is His both in heaven and in earth, He immediately charged us in the ensuing verse 19 to go and teach all nations. That’s extraordinary, because it means we sit on His seat. We function by His authority.

It’s the reason we can do the same works that He did. He gave us power and authority over all devils, and to cure diseases (Luke 9:1). Read what the Bible says in Mark 16:15-17 NKJV: “…And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons.”

You have unrivalled authority in the Name of Jesus to cast out devils and tame circumstances. There’s nothing you can’t do, and there’s no hopeless situation you can’t change. You can do all things in His Name. Hallelujah!

PRAYER

Dear Father, I thank you for the unparalleled authority and power that the Lord Jesus has given to the Church, to exercise authority over devils, teach all nations and catapult many from the domains of darkness into the kingdom of light. Thank you for the victory we have in Christ, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Walk As He Walked

“누구든지 그의 말씀을 지키는 자는 하나님의 사랑이 참으로 그 속에서 온전하게 되었나니 이로써 우리가 그의 안에 있는 줄을 아노라 그의 안에 산다고 하는 자는 그가 행하시는 대로 자기도 행할지니라”(요일 2:5-6)

하나님의 사랑은 거듭난 우리 안에서 이미 완전해졌습니다. 그분의 사랑은 우리 안에 거하시는 성령으로 말미암아 우리 심령 안에 부어졌습니다(롬 5:5). 더 이상 “오, 주님! 제 심령에 당신의 사랑을 더 부어주세요!”라고 기도할 필요가 없습니다. 당신은 심령 안에 하나님의 사랑의 충만함을 가지고 있습니다. 당신은 하나님이 사랑하시는 것처럼 사랑할 수 있습니다. 그래서 성경은 우리에게 “그가 행하시는 대로 자기도 행할지니라”고 말하는 것입니다.

그 무엇도 예수님을 제한할 수 없었습니다. 그분은 이 세상의 세력들과 요소들에 대한 절대적인 통치권을 행사하셨습니다.

WALK AS HE WALKED

“But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him. He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked”(1 John 2:5-6).

Being born again, the love of God is already perfected in us. His love is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who lives within us (Romans 5:5). It’s no use praying, “O, Lord put more of your love in my heart!” No! You possess the fullness of God’s love in your heart. You can love as He loves. That’s why the Bible enjoins us to “…walk, even as he walked.”

If you claim to abide in Christ, you should live as He did; emulate Him. He was love personified. Ephesians 5:1-2 tells us to emulate Him in our love-walk: “Therefore be imitators of God as dear children. And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma” (NKJV).

We can live, act and think like Him because we have the same life with him. 1 Corinthians 2:16 says, “…But we have the mind of Christ.” So, like the Master, never be intimidated by circumstances. In every situation, manifest the glory and power of divinity.

Nothing could limit Jesus. He exercised absolute dominion over the forces and elements of this world.

Never be intimidated by the challenges that you face, no matter how tough they are; walk as Jesus walked! Today, you’re the manifestation of Him, you’re the expression of Him. This is what true Christianity is—living the Christ-life—the unveiling and outworking of Christ in and through you. Hallelujah!

PRAYER

Dear Father, I thank you for the profound truth of your Word that’s building my spirit strong, and transforming my life from glory to glory. Your love is perfected in my heart, and it flows through me to bring succour to a hurting world. I’m the expression and manifestation of Christ; His glory, power and righteousness today, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

He Sees The Heart

“예수께서 이르시되 너희는 사람 앞에서 스스로 옳다 하는 자들이나 너희 마음을 하나님께서 아시나니 사람 중에 높임을 받는 그것은 하나님 앞에 미움을 받는 것이니라”(눅 16:15)

우리는 종종 어떤 사람들이 높임 받고, 존경받고, 찬사를 받고, 또 사람들로부터 존중받는 것을 봅니다. 그러나, 어떤 사람이 외부적인 상황 가운데 높임 받고 존중받을 수 있지만, 진정 그의 심령을 아시는 분은 하나님이십니다. 누가복음 16:15은 사람 중에 높임을 받는 것이 하나님 앞에 미움을 받는 것이라 말합니다.

성경에 등장하는 하만을 떠올려 보십시오. 그는 사악하고 악랄한 자였습니다. 하만은 페르시아 제국에서 아하수에로 왕의 고문관으로 일했고, 큰 존경과 높임을 받아 정부의 최고 관직까지 올랐습니다. 그러나 하만의 심령은 증오와 악한 의도로 가득 차 있었습니다.

하만의 사악함은 자신에게 절하기를 거부한 유대인 모르드개에 대한 극심한 증오로 드러났습니다. 심지어 그는 모든 유대인을 말살시키려는 음모를 꾸미고 그러한 법령을 만들도록 진두지휘했습니다. 그러나 하나님은 유대인들의 진심 어린 기도를 통해 하만의 악한 계획을 저지하셨습니다. 결국 하만은 자신의 악함에 대한 결과를 맞이하게 되었습니다.

예레미야 17:10은 하나님이 각 사람의 마음을 살피고, 생각을 시험해보며, 본질을 파악하신다고 말합니다. 그분은 사람의 꾸며진 겉모습이 아닌 있는 그대로의 모습을 보십니다. 사무엘상 16:7 역시 하나님은 외모가 아닌 심령을 보신다고 말합니다.

그러므로 삶을 살아가면서 당신의 심령과 의도에 주의하십시오. 당신이 다른 사람을 속일 수 있다고 생각하며 자신을 속이지 마십시오. 성경은 하나님은 속임을 당하지 않으신다고 말합니다. 당신의 심령이 하나님의 의, 사랑, 긍휼함으로 가득 차게 하십시오. 그것이 하나님께 가장 중요한 일입니다.

기도

HE SEES THE HEART

“And he said unto them, Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God”(Luke 16:15).

Oftentimes, we’ve witnessed certain people being promoted, honoured, esteemed, and respected by men. However, while men may promote and esteem from the outside, it is God who truly knows the heart. Luke 16:15 tells us that what is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God.

Consider the case of Haman in the Bible, a wicked and malevolent fellow. Haman served as an advisor to King Ahasuerus in the Persian Empire and was greatly respected and promoted to the highest-ranking office in the government. Yet, his heart was filled with hatred and evil intentions.

Haman’s wickedness was evident in his intense hatred for Mordecai, a Jewish man who refused to bow down to him. He even plotted to exterminate all the Jews and spearheaded a decree to annihilate them. But through the heartfelt prayers of the Jews, the Lord foiled his evil plans, and in the end, Haman faced the consequences of his wickedness.

Jeremiah 17:10 reminds us that God searches the heart and examines the mind, getting to the root of things. He sees men as they truly are, not as they pretend to be. Similarly, 1 Samuel 16:7 tells us that God looks beyond outward appearances and sees the heart.

So, as you journey through life, be mindful of your heart and intentions. Don’t deceive yourself, thinking that you can deceive others, for the Bible says God cannot be mocked. Let your heart be filled with His righteousness, love, and compassion, for that’s what matters most to God.

PRAYER

Dear Father, I thank you for guiding me to walk in faith, hope, love, and humility. Thank you for sanctifying my heart to serve you passionately, pleasing you in all things, as I walk in your perfect will, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

하나님 왕국의 상속자들

Heirs Of His Kingdom

“요한이 잡힌 후 예수께서 갈릴리에 오셔서 하나님의 복음을 전파하여 이르시되 때가 찼고 하나님의 나라가 가까이 왔으니 회개하고 복음을 믿으라 하시더라”(막 1:14-15)

주 예수님은 유대인들에게 왕국을 가져오셨습니다. 예수님은 그들에게 “하나님의 왕국이 가까이 왔다”고 말씀하셨습니다(마 3:2, 마 4:17, 막 1:14-15, 눅 10:9).

그러나 그들은 예수님의 메시지와 왕국에 대한 제안을 거절했습니다. 그 결과, 예수님은 그들에게 이렇게 선포하셨습니다. “그러므로 내가 너희에게 이르노니 하나님의 나라를 너희는 빼앗기고 그 나라의 열매 맺는 백성이 받으리라”(마 21:43)

왕국에 대한 메시지를 받아들인 모든 사람은 영생을 받았습니다. 그리스도인은 왕국에 대한 메시지를 받아들이고, 그들의 영 안에 영생을 받고, 이제 왕국의 시민이자 상속자가 된 사람입니다.

로마서 8:16-17에서 다음과 같이 말하는 것은 당연합니다. “성령이 친히 우리의 영과 더불어 우리가 하나님의 자녀인 것을 증언하시나니 자녀이면 또한 상속자 곧 하나님의 상속자요 그리스도와 함께 한 상속자니 우리가 그와 함께 영광을 받기 위하여 고난도 함께 받아야 할 것이니라”

악이 가득한 세상에 살고 있음에도 불구하고 하나님은 우리에게 그분의 왕국의 상속자가 되는 특별한 특권을 주셨습니다. 우리는 이 세상에 속하지 않았습니다. 우리는 사탄의 영역에 속하지 않으며, 사탄의 관할권이나 권세 아래 있지 않습니다.

골로새서 1:13은 하나님께서 우리를 흑암의 권세에서 건져내서 그분의 사랑의 아들의 나라로 옮기셨다고 말합니다. 하나님을 송축합니다! 또한, 그분은 우리를 그분의 영광스러운 왕국에서 왕국의 열매, 즉 의와 영생의 열매를 맺도록 왕과 제사장으로 삼으셨습니다.

우리는 베드로가 “그러나 너희는 택하신 족속이요 왕 같은 제사장들이요 거룩한 나라요 그의 소유가 된 백성이니 이는 너희를 어두운 데서 불러 내어 그의 기이한 빛에 들어가게 하신 이의 아름다운 덕을 선포하게 하려 하심이라”(벧전 2:9)고 말한 바로 그 사람들입니다. 할렐루야!

기도

사랑하는 아버지, 나를 당신의 영광스러운 왕국의 상속자로 만들어 주시니 감사드립니다. 나는 영생을 얻었고 이 왕국의 시민이자 구성원이 되었음을 인식합니다. 따라서 나는 이 세상의 타락과 부패와 상관이 없습니다. 나는 정사와 권세 위에 당신과 함께 앉힌 바 되었습니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

HEIRS OF HIS KINGDOM

“…Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand…”(Mark 1:14-15).

The Lord Jesus brought and offered the Kingdom to the Jews; He preached to them saying, “The kingdom of God is at hand” (Matthew 3:2; Matthew 4:17; Mark 1:14- 15; Luke 10:9).

However, they rejected His message and turned down His offer of the Kingdom. As a result, He declared to them, “Therefore I tell you that the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a people who will produce its fruit.” (Matthew 21:43 NIV).

The Kingdom was offered, and all those who accepted its message received eternal life. Christians are those who have accepted the message of the Kingdom, received eternal life into their spirits, and are now members—citizens and heirs of that Kingdom.

No wonder the Bible tells us in Romans 8:16-17 (NKJV), “The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs–heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.”

Despite living in a world filled with wickedness and evil, yet He has granted us this extraordinary privilege to be heirs of His kingdom. We’re not of this world. We don’t belong in Satan’s realm, we’re not under Satan’s jurisdiction or authority.

The Bible says in Colossians 1:13 that God has delivered us from the power of darkness and translated us into the kingdom of His Love-son. Blessed be God! Also, He’s made us kings and priests in His glorious Kingdom to produce fruits of the Kingdom— fruits of righteousness and eternal life.

We’re the ones Peter referred to when he said, “But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light” (1 Peter 2:9). Hallelujah!

PRAYER

Dear Father, I thank you for making me an heir of your glorious Kingdom. I recognize that I have received eternal life and have become a citizen and member of this Kingdom; therefore, I’m alienated from the depravities, corruption and decadence in this present world. I’m enthroned with you, far above principalities and powers, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
