The Principle Is To Ask And Receive

“그들이 부르기 전에 내가 응답하겠고 그들이 말을 마치기 전에 내가 들을 것이며”(사 65:24)

하나님은 이미 당신의 마음속에 무엇이 있는지 아십니다. 그분은 당신의 생각을 아시며 미래도 알고 계십니다. 그분은 당신이 기도하기도 전에 모든 것을 알고 계십니다. 예수님은 “구하기 전에 너희에게 있어야 할 것을 하나님 너희 아버지께서 아시느니라”(마 6:8)고 말씀하셨습니다. 그렇다면 우리는 왜 기도합니까? 하나님께서 기도를 사람과 하나님 사이의 교제의 수단으로 정하셨기 때문입니다. 기도는 영적인 것입니다.
절대 깨지지 않는 영적 원리들이 있습니다. 예를 들어, 왜 우리는 공중에서 걷지 못합니까? 하나님께서 중력의 법칙을 따라 땅 위를 걷도록 정하셨기 때문입니다. 중력의 법칙은 우리를 지구 중심으로 끌어당깁니다. 그것은 하나님의 선택이며, 그 선택에 대해 의구심을 갖는 것은 지혜롭지 않습니다. 따라서 하나님께서 기도가 필요하다고 말씀하신다면 우리는 기도해야 합니다.
주님은 우리에게 항상 기도하고 낙심하지 말라고 말씀하셨습니다(눅 18:1). 그분이 우리에게 말씀을 공부하라고 하셨기 때문에 우리는 말씀을 공부합니다. 그분이 우리에게 그분의 말씀의 빛 가운데 행하라고 하셨기 때문에 우리는 그렇게 합니다. 하나님께서 정하신 일들이 있고, 그것들은 불변합니다. 우리의 축복은 그분이 우리에게 주신 빛 가운데 행할 때 옵니다.
주님께서 우리에게 항상 기도하라고 말씀하셨으므로 “주님, 주님은 이미 제 생각을 아시므로 저는 그냥 가만히 있겠습니다.”라고 말하면 안 됩니다. 원리는 “… 구하라 그러면 너희에게 주실 것이요 찾으라 그러면 찾아낼 것이요 문을 두드리라 그러면 너희에게 열릴 것이니”(눅 11:9)라고 했기 때문입니다. 그리고 여기서 끝나지 않고 10절에서는 이렇게 말합니다. “구하는 이마다 받을 것이요 찾는 이는 찾아낼 것이요 두드리는 이에게는 열릴 것이니라”
주님은 “마음속으로 생각하는” 사람들은 다 받는다고 말씀하시지 않았습니다. 아닙니다. 원리는 “구하고 받는다”입니다. 우리는 이 범위 안에서 행해야 합니다. 구약 성경을 떠올려 보십시오. 하나님께서 이스라엘 백성들에게 약속하시고 준비해 두신 아름다운 축복(에스겔 36:21-36을 읽어 보십시오)을 모두 말씀하신 후, 그분은 그들에게 기도해야 한다고 말씀하셨습니다. “그럼에도 이스라엘의 집이 이것을 위해 내게 구하여 자기들을 위해 그것들을 행하게 하여야 하리라. 내가 사람들로 양 떼같이 그들의 수를 늘리고”(겔 36:37, 한글 흠정역)
우리가 아버지의 뜻을 우리 삶, 이 땅, 그리고 사람들의 삶에 세우게 하는 기도의 특권과 기회를 주심에 하나님께 감사드립니다. 하나님께 영광 드립니다!

기도
사랑하는 아버지, 아버지와 함께 이 땅에 아버지의 뜻을 세우게 하는 기도의 특권에 감사드립니다. 하나님의 말씀의 빛 가운데 행할 때, 하나님의 영광이 내 삶에 나타납니다. 나는 내 기도가 효과적이라는 보장으로 인해 기뻐합니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

THE PRINCIPLE IS TO ASK AND RECEIVE

“…Before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear” (Isaiah 65:24).

God already knows what’s in your heart. He knows your thoughts and knows the future. He knows everything; before you pray. Jesus said, “For your Father knows what you need before you ask him” (Matthew 6:8). So why then do we pray? We pray because God established prayer as a means of fellowship between man and God. It’s spiritual.
There’re spiritual principles that’ll never be broken. For example, why don’t we walk in the air? It’s because God established that we walk on the ground by the law of gravity. That’s God’s choice, and it’ll be unwise to question it. So, if God says prayer is necessary, then we must pray.
He said men ought always to pray and not to give up (Luke 18:1). He told us to study the Word, so we do. He told us to walk in the light of His Word; therefore, we must do that. There’re things God has determined, and they’re fixed. Our blessing comes from walking in the light that He has given us.
Since He told us to pray, we’re not supposed to say, “Lord, since you know my mind, I’ll just stay quiet.” The principle is, “…Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you…” (Luke 11:9). It didn’t stop there; it says in the 10th verse, “For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.”
He didn’t say everyone who “thinks in his mind” shall receive; no. The principle is, “Ask and receive;” we have to operate within its ambits. Consider in the Old Testament; after all the beautiful blessings God promised and had in store for the children of Israel (read Ezekiel 36:21-36), He ended by telling them they’d have to pray: “…I will yet for this be enquired of by the house of Israel, to do it for them; I will increase them with men like a flock (Ezekiel 36:37).
Thank God for the privilege and opportunity of prayer through which we cause the will of the Father to be established in our lives, in the earth, and in the lives of men. Glory to God!

PRAYER
Dear Father, I thank you for the privilege of prayer that allows me to partner with you in establishing your will in the earth. As I walk in the light of your Word, your glory is manifested in my life; and I rejoice in the assurance that my prayers are effective, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

“믿음으로 그들은 홍해를 육지 같이 건넜으나 애굽 사람들은 이것을 시험하다가 빠져 죽었으며”(히 11:29)

모세와 이스라엘 자손이 홍해 앞에 있었을 때, 모세는 하나님께 도움을 구하는 기도를 시작했습니다. 하지만 하나님께서 그의 기도를 멈추시며 명령하셨습니다. “여호와께서 모세에게 이르시되 너는 어찌하여 내게 부르짖느냐 이스라엘 자손에게 명령하여 앞으로 나아가게 하고 지팡이를 들고 손을 바다 위로 내밀어 그것이 갈라지게 하라 이스라엘 자손이 바다 가운데서 마른 땅으로 행하리라”(출 14:15-16)
하나님께서는 모세에게 행동하라고 지시하셨습니다. 모세가 행동해야 하는 순간이었습니다. 하나님께서 무언가를 하실 때까지 “기다리는” 시간이 아닌 모세가 바다 위로 손을 내밀어 갈라놓을 시간이었습니다. 모세는 그렇게 했고, 홍해가 기적적으로 갈라졌습니다. 만일 모세가 “주님, 그럼 이 바닷물은 어디로 갑니까? 물은 어딘가로 흘러가야 하지 않습니까?”라고 묻기 시작했다고 상상해 보십시오.
하지만 성경은 모세와 이스라엘 사람들이 홍해에서 이집트인들로부터 기적적으로 구출된 후 부른 찬양의 노래에서 물이 어떻게 되었는지 보여줍니다. 물이 쌓여 벽처럼 세워졌습니다. “주의 콧구멍의 거센 바람에 물들이 함께 모이되 큰물들이 산더미같이 똑바로 일어서고 깊음들이 바다의 심장부에서 엉겼나이다.”(출 15:8, 한글 흠정역)
믿을 때 너무 많은 질문을 하지 말고 행동하십시오! 말씀에 따라 행동하십시오. 의심이 생긴다면 생각을 떨쳐버리고 “내가 믿으므로 모든 것이 가능합니다.”라고 선포하십시오. 하나님의 진리를 말하십시오. 믿음의 말을 하십시오. 성령님께서 영감을 주신 말씀을 말하며 하나님께서 일하시는 것을 보십시오. 믿음은 말씀을 따라 도약하는 것입니다. 하나님께서 말씀하신 내용을 토대로 한 걸음을 내딛고, 반대하며 대적하는 상황에 요동하지 마십시오. 할렐루야!

기도
사랑하는 아버지, 나의 믿음을 세우고 내 영을 강건하게 하는 말씀에 감사드립니다. 나는 상황에 흔들리기를 거절합니다. 나는 믿음으로 행하고, 보는 것으로 행하지 않습니다. 나는 성령의 능력으로 말미암아 이 세상의 요소들과 세력들을 정복합니다. 나는 항상 어디에서나 승리하며 그리스도의 복음의 축복으로 내 세상에 영향력을 끼칩니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

BELIEVE AND ACT

“By faith they passed through the Red sea as by dry land: which the Egyptians assaying to do were drowned” (Hebrews 11:29).

When Moses and the children of Israel were in front of the Red Sea, Moses began to pray to God for help. But God interrupted him with a command: “Then the Lord said to Moses, ‘Why are you crying out to me? Tell the Israelites to move on. Raise your staff and stretch out your hand over the sea to divide the water so that the Israelites can go through the sea on dry ground.'” (Exodus 14:15-16, NIV).
God instructed Moses to act; it was a moment of action for Moses. It wasn’t time to “wait” for God to do something but for Moses to stretch out his hand over the sea and divide it, which he did, leading to the miraculous parting of the Red Sea. Imagine if Moses had started questioning, “Lord, where will the water go? It’s water; it has to flow somewhere.”
But the Bible shows us what happened to the water in a song of praise sung by Moses and the Israelites after their miraculous deliverance from the Egyptians at the Red Sea. The waters piled up; it stood up like a wall: “By the blast of your nostrils the waters piled up. The surging waters stood up like a wall; the deep waters congealed in the heart of the sea” (Exodus 15:8 NIV).
When you believe, don’t ask too many questions; act! Act on the Word. When doubts arise, shake them off and declare, “All things are possible to me because I believe.” Speak God’s truths. Utter words of faith—words inspired in you by the Holy Spirit and watch God move. Faith is a leap on the Word; you take your step on the basis of what God has said and refuse to be moved by contrary and opposing circumstances. Hallelujah!

PRAYER
Dear Father, I thank you for your Word that builds my faith and strengthens my spirit. I refuse to be moved by circumstances, for I walk by faith, not by sight. With the power of the Holy Spirit, I subdue the forces and elements of this world; I’m triumphant always and in every place, impacting my world with the blessings of the Gospel of Christ, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

전 세계적인 수확
A Global Harvest

“또 이르시되 너희는 온 천하에 다니며 만민에게 복음을 전파하라”(막 16:15)

우리는 지난 두 말씀의 실재를 통해 주님의 재림 전에 하나님께서 반드시 얻어야 할 영혼의 수가 있다는 것을 배웠습니다. 성령 안에는 추수를 수확하는 것에 대한 신성한 긴급성이 있습니다. 마지막 사람이 언제 믿을지 누가 알겠습니까? 그때가 다가오고 있으며, 우리는 그 어느 때보다 더 큰 열정과 확신으로 전 세계에 복음을 전파해야 합니다.
우리는 모든 영혼에게 가야 합니다. 우리가 받은 명령은 그들 모두에게 가라는 것입니다. 로마서 11:25은 “이방인의 충만한 수”에 대해 말합니다. 이는 단순히 사람들이 복음을 듣게 되는 것을 넘어, 즉 추수에 관한 것입니다. 사람들이 그리스도를 주님이자 구원자로 받아들이는 개인적인 결정을 하도록 인도하는 것입니다.
우리는 세상이 본 적이 없는 가장 큰 수확의 계절에 있습니다. 농부에게 가장 신나는 시기는 수확기이고, 영적으로는 지금이 우리의 수확기입니다. 영혼들이 전 세계에서 구원받고 있으며 이 일은 빠르게 일어나고 있습니다. 성령님께서 강력하게 움직이고 계십니다.
만약 당신이 지금까지 영혼 구원에 열정적으로 참여하지 않았다면, 바로 지금이 우선순위를 재조정하고 열심히 영혼 구원을 할 때입니다. 당신은 지금이 그 어느 때보다 더 쉽게 영혼을 구원할 수 있는 때라는 것을 알게 될 것입니다. 성령님께서 일하십니다. 당신이 해야 할 일은 입을 여는 것뿐입니다. 그러면 성령님께서 올바른 말로 채워주실 것입니다. 하나님의 능력이 당신을 통해 당신의 말을 듣는 사람들에게 흘러갈 것이고, 그들은 말씀을 듣고, 믿고, 구원받을 것입니다.
즐거운 시기입니다! 밭은 수확할 때가 되었고, 우리는 일꾼으로서 부지런해야 합니다. 그래서 우리는 2024년 12월 2일에 있을 ‘세계 전도의 날’에 이 땅에 있는 모든 사람이 하나님의 말씀을 받을 수 있도록 적극적이고 담대한 행동을 하려고 합니다. 말씀의 실재를 전달하며 24시간 동안 전 세계 곳곳에 하나님의 사랑의 변화를 일으키는 메시지를 전하는 데 동참해 주십시오.
지금이 그때입니다. 주변 사람들에게 가서 담대하게 복음을 전하십시오. 추수가 일어나고 있으며, 우리는 마치 물이 바다를 덮는 것처럼 주님의 영광에 대한 지식으로 이 땅을 덮으라는 신성한 사명에 참여해야 합니다. 사람들에게 가서 그들을 왕국으로 데려오십시오.

사랑하는 아버지, 이 위대한 추수에서 하나님과 함께 일하는 특권을 주셔서 감사합니다. 믿지 않는 사람들에게 가고 또 그들을 왕국으로 데려오기 위해 전 세계 그리스도인들은 긴급성, 담대함, 지혜로 가득 차 있습니다. 성령님께서 사람들이 진리를 알고 구원을 받을 수 있도록 우리에게 복음을 효과적으로 전할 수 있는 전략을 주십니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

A GLOBAL HARVEST

“And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature” (Mark 16:15).

We’ve learnt in our last two studies that God has a definite number of souls that must be won before the return of the Master. There’s a divine urgency in the Spirit to gather the harvest. Who knows when that last person will believe? The time is drawing near, and we must preach the Gospel around the world with greater fervency and conviction than ever before.
We must reach every soul; the mandate is to reach them all. Romans 11:25 talks about “the full number of the ingathering of the Gentiles”; this is more than people merely hearing the Gospel; it’s about bringing in the harvest; leading people to a personal decision to accept Christ as their Lord and Savior.
We’re in the season of the greatest harvest the world has ever seen. The most exciting time for a farmer is harvest time, and spiritually, this is our harvest time. Souls are being won all over the world, and it’s happening fast; the Holy Spirit is moving mightily.
If you’ve not been passionately involved in soul winning, it’s time to realign your priorities; get busy with soul winning. You’d discover now, more than ever, it’s easy to win souls. The Holy Spirit is doing the work. All you need to do is open your mouth, and He will fill it with the right words. The power of God will flow through you to your listeners, and they will hear the Word, believe, and be saved.
These are exciting times!
The fields are ripe for harvest, and as the labourers, we must be diligent. It’s part of the reasons we’re taking active and daring steps to make sure everyone on earth receives God’s Word during the upcoming ReachOut World Day on December 2nd 2024. Make sure to join us in spreading the transformative message of God’s love to every corner of the globe through the distribution of Rhapsody of Realities.
The time is now; reach out to those around you and be bold in sharing the Gospel with them. The ingathering is happening, and we must be part of this divine mandate to cover the earth with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea. Let’s reach them all and bring them into the Kingdom.

PRAYER
Dear Father, thank you for the privilege of being co-labourers with you in this great harvest, as Christians all over the world are filled with the urgency, boldness and wisdom to reach out to the lost and bring them into the Kingdom. The Holy Spirit grants us the strategies to share the gospel effectively, for them to know the truth and be saved, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

The Ingathering Of The Gentiles

“형제들아 너희가 스스로 지혜 있다 하면서 이 신비를 너희가 모르기를 내가 원하지 아니하노니 이 신비는 이방인의 충만한 수가 들어오기까지 이스라엘의 더러는 우둔하게 된 것이라”(롬 11:25)

바울은 로마서 11:22-25에서 넓은 의미에서 유대인과 이방인에 대해 말하고, 하나님의 구원 계획이 두 그룹 모두에게 어떻게 전개되는지에 대해 말합니다. 그는 로마서 11:24에서 올리브나무의 은유를 사용하여 이 과정을 설명합니다. “네가 본래 야생 올리브나무에서 잘려 본성에 역행하며 좋은 올리브나무에 접붙여졌을진대 하물며 본래의 가지인 이들이야 얼마나 더 자기 자신의 올리브나무에 접붙여지겠느냐?”(한글 흠정역)
이스라엘은 현재 구원에 관해 “더러는 우둔하게” 되었습니다. 모든 유대인이 복음에 대해 무지하다는 말이 아닙니다. 사실 많은 유대인들이 오순절 이후로 예수 그리스도를 믿었고 사도들도 모두 유대인이었습니다. 사도행전은 많은 유대인들, 즉 많은 남성과 여성들이 예수님을 주님으로 받아들였지만, 아직 국가적으로는 받아들이지 않았다고 말합니다. 그러나 결국 그 일은 일어날 것입니다.
앞에서 읽은 내용으로 돌아가서, “이방인의 충만한 수가 들어오기까지 이스라엘의 더러는 우둔하게 된 것이라”고 말한 부분을 주목하십시오. 이 부분은 무슨 뜻입니까? 확대번역본은 이 구절에 대해 더 명확하게 설명하고 있습니다. “형제들아, 자신의 의견에 따라 [스스로 현명하다고 생각하지 않도록] 이 숨겨진 진리와 신비를 놓치지 않기를 바랍니다. 이스라엘의 일부에게 [잠시] 완악해짐[무감각]이 [일시적으로] 들어와 이방인들의 충만한 수가 들어올 때까지 지속될 것입니다.”
어제 읽은 내용에 이어서 우리는 다시 한번 하나님께서 우리가 전 세계적으로 충만하고 확실한 수의 죄인들에게 복음을 가지고 다가가기를 기다리고 계심을 봅니다. 즉, 예수 그리스도를 믿고 그분께 와야 하는 사람들입니다. 주님은 바로 그 일을 기다리고 계십니다. 충만한 수에 이르면 나팔이 울리고, 휴거가 일어날 것입니다.
이러한 이해는 당신을 신나게 하고 부지런히 영혼을 구원하게 합니다. 당신은 그리스도께 오는 모든 영혼이 우리를 하나님의 계획의 성취와 교회의 휴거에 더 가까이 가게 한다는 사실을 알기 때문입니다.

기도
사랑하는 아버지, 전 세계에 부어진 구원의 은혜에 감사드립니다. 하나님의 자녀들이 그들의 세상과 그 너머 지역에서 복음을 전파함에 따라 수많은 영혼이 그리스도께로 오고 있습니다. 어둠의 휘장이 제거되고 충만한 수의 이방인들이 불러 모아지고 있습니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

THE INGATHERING OF THE GENTILES

“For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fullness of the Gentiles be come in” (Romans 11:25).

In Romans 11:22-25, Paul speaks about the Jews and Gentiles in a broad sense, and how God’s plan of salvation unfolds for both groups. In verse 24 (NKJV), he uses the metaphor of an olive tree to describe this process: “For if you were cut out of the olive tree which is wild by nature, and were grafted contrary to nature into a cultivated olive tree, how much more will these, who are natural branches, be grafted into their own olive tree?”
Israel, as a nation, is currently experiencing “blindness in part” concerning salvation. This doesn’t mean that every individual Jew is blind to the Gospel. In fact, many Jews have believed in Jesus Christ since the day of Pentecost, including all the apostles, who were Jews themselves. The book of Acts records that multitudes of Jews—multitudes of men and women accepted Jesus as their Saviour, but not yet as a nation. That, however, will eventually happen.
Back to what we read earlier; observe that it says “blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fullness of the Gentiles be come in.” What does this mean? The Amplified Classic (AMPC) provides further clarity: “Lest you be self-opinionated [wise in your own conceits], I do not want you to miss this hidden truth and mystery, brethren: a hardening [insensibility] has [temporarily] befallen a part of Israel [to last] until the full number of the ingathering of the Gentiles has come in.”
Sequel to our study yesterday, again we see that there’s a full, definite number of sinners all over the world that God is waiting for us to reach with the Gospel—those who must believe and come to Jesus Christ. That’s what He’s waiting for. Once that full number is attained, the Trumpet will sound; the Rapture will take place.
This understanding should get you excited and to be diligent in winning souls, knowing that every soul that comes to Christ brings us closer to the fulfilment of God’s plan and to the Rapture of the Church.

PRAYER
Dear Father, thank you for your grace for salvation that’s been poured out all over the world. Souls are being worn to Christ in large numbers as your children preach the Gospel in their world and in regions beyond. The veil of darkness is removed, and a full number of the ingathering of the Gentiles is coming in, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

“주의 약속은 어떤 이들이 더디다고 생각하는 것 같이 더딘 것이 아니라 오직 주께서는 너희를 대하여 오래 참으사 아무도 멸망하지 아니하고 다 회개하기에 이르기를 원하시느니라”(벧후 3:9)

성경은 진리를 비웃고 조롱하는 사람들에 대해 다음과 같이 말합니다. “… 곧 마지막 날들에 비웃는 자들이 와서 자기들의 정욕을 따라 걸으며”(벧후 3:3, 한글 흠정역) 예를 들어, 그들은 조롱하며 묻습니다. “예수님께서 돌아오겠다고 약속하셨습니다. 우리는 여러 세대에 걸쳐 그 얘기를 들어왔는데, 도대체 그분은 어디 계십니까? 그분은 결코 오지 않으실 겁니다!”

예수님이 아직 오지 않으신 이유는 하나님께서 “지연”하시거나 예수님이 다시 오실 것이라고 말씀하신 것을 잊으셨기 때문이 아닙니다. 오히려 하나님은 인내하고 계십니다. 그분은 누구도 멸망하기를 원치 않으시고 모든 사람이 회개하기를 원하십니다. 얼마나 은혜로운 주님이십니까! 베드로후서 3:15은 이에 대해 더욱 강조합니다. 이 구절은 우리 주의 오래 참으심(인내심)이 사람들의 구원을 위함이라고 말합니다.
주님의 재림이 아직 나타나지 않음은 하나님의 구원에 대한 열망과 직접적으로 연결되어 있습니다. 그분이 기다리시는 모든 순간은 누군가가 그분께로 돌아와 구원받을 또 다른 기회입니다. 이런 진리에 대한 이해는 하나님의 타이밍이 완벽하고 그분의 인내심이 그분의 사랑의 연장이라는 것을 앎으로 복음을 긴급하게 전하도록 당신의 마음에 영향을 끼쳐야 합니다.

HIS TIMING IS PERFECT

“The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance” (2 Peter 3:9).

The Bible talks about some who scoff and mock at the truth: “…in the last days there will come scoffers who will do every wrong they can think of and laugh at the truth” (1 Peter 3:3 TLB). For example, they mockingly ask, “Jesus promised to come back; we’ve been hearing that for generations, where is He? He’ll never come!”
They fail to realize that God’s sense of time is not like ours. Take 2 Peter 1:8 as an example; Peter reminds us not to be ignorant of one crucial truth: “But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.” When God communicates a message to you in a certain way and then repeats it in reverse, He’s emphasizing that these are not exaggerations or generic statements. What He’s indicating is that, in prophetic language, a day can represent a thousand years, and a thousand years can be like one day.
The reason Jesus hasn’t come isn’t that God is “delaying,” or that He forgot He said Jesus would come. Rather, He’s being patient. He’s not willing that anyone should perish but wants everyone to come to repentance. How gracious the Lord is! 2 Peter 3:15 further emphasizes this; it says for us to account, reckon, that the longsuffering (patience) of our Lord is for the salvation of men.
The delay is directly tied to God’s desire for salvation. Every moment He waits is another opportunity for someone to turn to Him and be saved. This understanding should stir your heart to share the Gospel with urgency, knowing that God’s timing is perfect, and His patience is an extension of His love.

PRAYER
Dear Father, thank you for your patience, giving people all over the world the opportunity to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth as it’s in the Gospel. May the message of the Gospel, like never before, have free course, and salvation spread into every corner of the earth, unhindered, until the full numbers of the Gentiles come in, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

옛 선지자들은 성령의 영감을 받아 그리스도의 고난과 그리스도가 받으실 영광에 대해 증거했습니다. 그리스도는 이미 고난을 받으셨기 때문에 지금 우리는 그분의 영광의 시기를 살고 있는 것입니다. 당신은 고난을 겪을 필요가 없고, 고난이 당신의 삶의 일부가 되어야 한다고 생각할 필요도 없습니다. 고난은 예수님과 함께 끝났습니다. 그분은 당신이 초월적인 삶을 살 수 있도록 고난을 겪으셨습니다.

THE SUFFERINGS ENDED WITH CHRIST

“Of this salvation, the prophets have inquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that should come unto you: Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow” (1 Peter 1:10-11).

The prophets of old, inspired by the Holy Spirit, testified of the sufferings of Christ and the glory that should follow. Christ already suffered, which means we’re now in the days of His glory. You don’t need to suffer or think that suffering should be a part of your life. The suffering ended with Jesus. He suffered for you to have the transcendent life.
2 Corinthians 5:21 says, “For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.” 2 Corinthians 8:9 says, “For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.” No Christian needs to suffer any more in sickness, disease, penury and defeat. You don’t need to “pay” any additional price outside what Christ already paid for you to enjoy an extraordinary life and be all that God ordained you to be.
God loves you, and He has qualified you to be a partaker of the inheritance of the saints in light. It’s your heritage in Christ to live your best to the glory of God. He didn’t create you to suffer. When Jesus hung on the Cross, He said, “It is finished” (John 19:30). He announced the end to suffering for all humanity. Today, anyone who believes in Him and accepts His vicarious sacrifice is automatically ushered into the life of glory. No wonder Peter, by the Spirit, said in 2 Peter 1:3 that we’ve been called to glory and virtue. Hallelujah!
His sacrifice was enough. He came, lived and died; He was buried and raised back to life, and He ascended. Now He’s seated in the place of dominion, power and great glory; and we’re seated together with Him. All He wants now is for you to enjoy the glory that resulted from His suffering. There’s nothing more you need to do beyond what He already did. Hallelujah!

PRAYER
Dear Father, thank you for the glorious life you have brought me into in Christ. I rejoice in the knowledge that I now live in the glory that followed the sufferings of Christ. I walk in health, prosperity, victory, and manifest your power, love and the fullness of your grace, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

The Resurrection Brought Us Justification

“하나님이 죄를 알지도 못하신 이를 우리를 대신하여 죄로 삼으신 것은 우리로 하여금 그 안에서 하나님의 의가 되게 하려 하심이라”(고후 5:21)

로마서 4:25은 예수 그리스도께서 우리의 범죄 때문에 내줌이 되셨다고 말합니다. 즉, 그분은 우리의 죄를 위해 죽으셨고, 우리를 의롭다 하기 위하여 살아나신 것입니다. 디모데전서 3:16은 예수님이 성령 안에서 의롭게 되셨다고 말합니다. 왜 예수님께서 성령 안에서 의롭게 되셔야 했습니까? 오늘의 본문 구절에서 읽었듯이 그분이 우리를 위해 죄가 되셨기 때문입니다. 그분은 죄의 화신이 되셨습니다.
정말 놀라운 일입니다. 성경은 예수님이 죄인이나 속죄 제물이 되셨다고 말하는 것에 그치지 않고, 그분이 죄가 되셨다고 말합니다. 죄의 특징과 본성이 예수님께 주어졌다는 뜻입니다. 그분은 우리의 죄의 본성이 되셨습니다.
이 진리를 이해하기 전까지는 새로운 피조물의 생명과 우리가 어떻게 그리스도 안에서 하나님의 의가 되었는지 이해할 수 없습니다. 다음에 대해 생각해 보십시오. 죄를 알지도 못하시고, 죄에 연루된 적도 없으시고, 불친절한 말을 하거나 잘못된 것을 말해본 적이 없으신 분, 곧 죄 없는 분이 우리를 위해 죄가 되셨습니다. 바로 우리를 그분 안에서 하나님의 의로 삼기 위해서였습니다. 정말 놀랍습니다!
예수님은 우리의 본성과 죄에 대한 형벌을 받으시고 나서, 새로운 생명으로 죽음에서 부활하셨습니다. 성경에 따르면 우리 역시 그분과 함께 일으켜졌습니다(엡 2:6). 그분이 다시 살아나셨을 때, 하나님께서는 “너는 내 아들이라 오늘 내가 너를 낳았도다”(시 2:7, 행 13:33)라고 말씀하셨습니다. 이는 매우 중요합니다. 예수님이 거듭난 시점을 알리기 때문입니다. 예수님은 하나님께서 그분을 죽은 자 가운데 일으키셨을 때 거듭나셨습니다.
따라서 예수님의 부활로 말미암아 우리 역시 부활했습니다. 우리가 그분 안에 있었기 때문입니다. 예수님의 부활은 생명력 있는 부활이었고, 우리의 부활은 합법적인 부활이었습니다. 그러나 당신이 예수 그리스도를 주님으로 영접한 순간, 이 합법적인 부활은 당신의 영 안에서 생명력 있는 경험이 되었습니다. 당신은 즉시 어둠의 영역에서 나와 합법적인 의로 하나님의 사랑의 아들의 왕국으로 옮겨졌습니다. 당신은 의롭게 되었습니다. 예수님의 부활은 우리에게 의롭다 하심을 가져왔습니다. “그분은 우리의 죄악으로 인해 배신당하고 죽임을 당하셨지만 우리의 의롭게 됨(무죄 판결)을 위해 부활하셨습니다. [우리의 죄를 없애시고, 하나님 앞에서 모든 죄로부터 우리를 면제시키셨습니다]”(롬 4:25, 확대번역본) 할렐루야!

THE RESURRECTION BROUGHT US JUSTIFICATION

“For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him” (2 Corinthians 5:21).

The Bible says in Romans 4:25 that Jesus Christ was delivered for our offences, that is, He died on account of our sins, and was raised back to life for our justification. 1 Timothy 3:16 says He was justified in the Spirit. Why did He have to be justified in the Spirit? The reason is that He was made sin for us, as read in our opening scripture. He became the very embodiment of sin.
This is truly astounding because the Bible doesn’t merely say that Jesus was made a sinner or a sin offering but that He was made sin. This means the very character and nature of sin were placed on Jesus. He became the very embodiment of what we were; our nature of sin was what He became.
Until you understand this, you won’t understand the life of the new creation and how indeed, we became the righteousness of God in Christ. Think about it: The one who knew no sin, who was never involved in sin; He never spoke an unkind word or said the wrong thing; that sinless one was made sin for us, so that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him. Wow!
After taking on our nature, and the punishment for our sin, He was raised from the dead with a new life. And according to the Bible, we were raised together with Him (Ephesians 2:6). When He was raised back to life, God said, “…Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee” (Psalm 2:7, Acts 13:33). This is crucial because it marked when Jesus was born again; He was born again when God raised Him from the dead.
By His resurrection, therefore, we were also resurrected, because we were in Him. His was a vital resurrection, and ours was a legal one. But the moment you received Jesus Christ as Lord, this legal resurrection became a vital experience in your spirit. You were immediately brought out of the domain of darkness and catapulted into the Kingdom of God’s Love-Son, with legal righteousness; you were justified. His resurrection brought us justification: “Who was betrayed and put to death because of our misdeeds and was raised to secure our justification (our acquittal), [making our account balance and absolving us from all guilt before God]” (Romans 4:25 AMPC). Hallelujah!

PRAYER
Blessed Father, I rejoice, knowing that the Lord Jesus was raised for my justification—my acquittal. Now I’ve been declared not guilty, and made righteous in Christ Jesus. I live with the consciousness of my divine nature, celebrating my sin-free life in Christ, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

많은 사람들이 그리스도인은 어떤 존재인지 완전히 이해하지 못합니다. 그들은 그리스도인이 단순히 예수 그리스도를 따르는 사람이라고 생각합니다. 아닙니다! 그리스도인은 말씀으로 태어나 말씀의 생명을 가진 사람입니다. 야고보서 1:18은 “그가 그 피조물 중에 우리로 한 첫 열매가 되게 하시려고 자기의 뜻을 따라 진리의 말씀으로 우리를 낳으셨느니라”고 말합니다. 성경이 예수님에 관해 “말씀이 육신이 되어 우리 가운데 거하시매…”(요 1:14)라고 말한 것을 기억하십시오. 우리는 동일한 말씀의 성령의 영역에서 태어났습니다.

요한일서 4:4은 “자녀들아 너희는 하나님께 속하였고 또 그들을 이기었나니 이는 너희 안에 계신 이가 세상에 있는 자보다 크심이라”고 말합니다. “너희는 하나님께 속하였고”라는 말은 당신이 하나님께로부터 왔고, 당신의 근원이 신성하며, 그로 인해 당신의 생명 역시 신성하다는 뜻입니다. 하나님을 송축합니다!

고백
나는 하나님의 썩지 않는 씨인 말씀으로 태어났으므로 말씀의 생명을 가지고 있으며 이런 나의 신성한 본성을 인식하며 삽니다. 내 안에 있는 신성한 생명은 나를 파괴되지 않는 불굴의 존재로 만들었고, 사탄과 환경과 이 세상의 요소들보다 우월하게 만들었습니다. 나는 승리하며 날마다 모든 곳에서 하나님의 영광을 온전히 나타냅니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

BORN WITH THE DIVINE LIFE

“Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which lives and abides forever” (1 Peter 1:23)

Many haven’t fully grasped who a Christian is; they think a Christian is a mere follower of Jesus Christ; no! A Christian is someone who’s born of the Word and has the life of the Word. James 1:18 says, “Of His own will He brought us forth by the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of His creatures.” Recall what the Bible says concerning Jesus, “And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us…” (John 1:14); we were also born in the realm of the Spirit of the same Word.
When you received the Word of God—the Gospel of Jesus Christ—into your spirit, the life that He promised was imparted to your spirit. From that moment, you were awakened to the fatherhood of God. The nature of death ceased, and the life of God took on its operation in your spirit. You became one nature with God. This helps you understand why the Bible says we’re partakers of the divine nature—associates of the Godkind: “Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust” (2 Peter 1:4).
1 John 5:11-12 says, “And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.” Life here is the divine life, the God-life; it supplanted your human life when you were born again. The life inside you isn’t the same as the one inside your next-door neighbour who isn’t a Christian. Outwardly, you may look the same, but the life in you is divine; impregnable, indestructible, and indomitable.
1 John 4:4, “Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.” The phrase, “Ye are of God” means you hail from God, your origin is divine, and so is your life. Blessed be God!

CONFESSION
I’m born of God’s incorruptible seed—the Word—therefore, I have the life of the Word and walk in the consciousness of my divine nature. The divine life in me has made me indomitable, indestructible, and superior to Satan, circumstances and the elements of this world. I am victorious, and fully manifest your glory every day and in every place, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

오늘의 본문 구절에서 “죄 사함”라는 단어는 더 정확하게는 “사면”으로 번역할 수 있는데 이는 죄를 제거한다는 의미입니다. 이어지는 39절에서는 “또 모세의 율법으로 너희가 의롭다 하심을 얻지 못하던 모든 일에도 이 사람을 힘입어 믿는 자마다 의롭다 하심을 얻는 이것이라”고 말합니다. 의롭다 하심은 어떤 의미입니까?
이는 의롭다고 선언 받는 것, 무죄라고 선언 받는 것을 의미합니다. 예수 그리스도를 통해 우리는 모든 고소로부터 자유합니다. 당신은 모든 죄에서 벗어났습니다. 당신을 향한 어떤 혐의도 없습니다. 성경에서 그리스도 예수 안에 있는 자에게는 결코 정죄함이 없다(롬 8:1)고 말하는 것은 이와 동일한 이유 때문에 그렇습니다.
이렇게 생각해 보십시오. 당신이 저에게 돈을 빌렸고, 다른 사람이 와서 당신을 대신해서 그 빚을 갚았습니다. 그렇다면 저는 그 사람이 당신을 대신해서 돈을 갚았기 때문에 그 빚을 취소할 것입니다. 당신 대신 돈을 갚은 사람은 저에게 빚진 것이 하나도 없습니다. 돈을 빌린 사람은 당신이지만, 그 사람이 와서 당신의 빚을 갚았습니다. 그렇다면 제가 당신이 여전히 저에게 갚을 돈이 있다고 주장한다면 그것이 옳은 주장이겠습니까? 당연히 아닙니다! 당신이 스스로 갚지 않았더라도, 다른 사람이 와서 당신 대신 갚았습니다. 그 사람이 대신 갚는 순간, 당신은 자유로워졌습니다.
마찬가지로, 예수님이 우리 죄를 갚아주셨을 때, 하나님께서는 빚을 취소하시고 “너는 의로워졌다!”고 말씀하셨습니다. 그 말씀은 무슨 뜻입니까? 당신이 사면되고 무죄 판결을 받았다는 의미입니다. 당신에게는 그 어떤 혐의도 없습니다. 그래서 우리가 복음을 전파할 때, 우리는 세상에 “당신은 의롭게 되기 위해 노력할 필요가 없습니다. 당신은 하나님의 축복을 받을 자격을 얻기 위해 노력할 필요가 없습니다. 당신이 해야 할 일은 예수님이 행하신 일을 받아들이는 것입니다.”라고 말합니다.

HE PAID IN FULL FOR EVERYBODY

“Therefore let it be known to you, brethren that through this Man is preached to you the forgiveness of sins” (Acts 13:38).

The word “forgiveness” in the verse above is more accurately translated “remission,” meaning the removal of sins. The ensuing verse 39 says, “And by Him everyone who believes is justified from all things from which you could not be justified by the Law of Moses.” What does it mean to be justified?
It means to be declared righteous, to be declared not guilty. Through Jesus Christ, we’ve been acquitted of all accusations. You’ve been absolved of all guilt; no charges against you. It’s for the same reason that the Bible says there’s therefore now no judgement or condemnation for the one who’s in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:1).
Consider this: if you owed me some money, and someone else came and paid the debt for you, I would cancel the debt because it was paid on your behalf. The person who paid didn’t owe me anything; you were the one who owed me, but he came and settled your debt. Now, would it be right for me to claim that you still owe me? Of course not! Even though you didn’t pay by yourself, someone else came and paid for you. The moment he paid, you became free.
In the same way, when Jesus paid for our sins, God cancelled the debt, and said, “You’re justified!” What does that mean? It means you’ve been discharged and acquitted; no charges against you. So, when we preach the Gospel, we tell the world, “You don’t have to struggle to be righteous; you don’t have to struggle to qualify for God’s blessings; all you need is to embrace what Jesus has done.
Accept His redemptive sacrifice in your behalf and stay in Him. Everything He did was for you. He was wounded for you; He died for you; He was buried for you. He went to hell for you, so that you don’t have to go to hell. He was raised from the dead for you, with a new life. Now that you’re born again, you have the same life with which He was raised from the dead. Walk in the consciousness of this new life: “Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life” (Romans 6:4).

PRAYER
Righteous Father, I thank you for the sacrifice of Jesus in my behalf by which I’ve been made righteous. I walk in, and manifest your righteousness. I’m washed, sanctified, glorified, and justified, walking in newness of life, and in the light of my righteousness in Christ. Hallelujah!

The Law Couldn’t Produce Life

“그러므로 형제들아 너희가 알 것은 이 사람을 힘입어 죄 사함을 너희에게 전하는 이것이며 또 모세의 율법으로 너희가 의롭다 하심을 얻지 못하던 모든 일에도 이 사람을 힘입어 믿는 자마다 의롭다 하심을 얻는 이것이라”(행 13:38-39)

예수님이 오시기 전에는 모세의 율법이 있었습니다. 율법은 온 세상이 아닌 이스라엘을 위한 것이었습니다.
율법 아래에서는 하나님의 축복을 받기 위해 율법을 지켜야 했습니다. 의는 모든 율법을 지킴으로써만 얻을 수 있었습니다. 하지만 히브리서에 따르면, 생명을 줄 수 있는 율법은 없었고, 사람들이 모든 율법을 온전히 지킬 수도 없었습니다. “전에 있던 계명은 연약하고 무익하므로 폐하고 (율법은 아무것도 온전하게 못 할지라) 이에 더 좋은 소망이 생기니 이것으로 우리가 하나님께 가까이 가느니라”(히 7:18-19)
또한 히브리서 8:7은 말합니다. “저 첫 언약이 무흠하였더라면 둘째 것을 요구할 일이 없었으려니와” 결국 율법은 사람을 자유케 할 수 없었습니다. 사도 바울은 갈라디아서 3:21에서 율법이 생명을 줄 수 없다고 말합니다. 율법은 의를 만들 능력이 없습니다. “그러면 율법이 하나님의 약속들과 반대되는 것이냐 결코 그럴 수 없느니라 만일 능히 살게 하는 율법을 주셨더라면 의가 반드시 율법으로 말미암았으리라”
바울은 로마서 8:3에서 율법의 잘못된 점에 대해 더 설명합니다. “율법이 육신으로 말미암아 연약하여 할 수 없는 그것을 하나님은 하시나니 곧 죄로 말미암아 자기 아들을 죄 있는 육신의 모양으로 보내어 육신에 죄를 정하사” 하나님께서는 옛 언약을 더 나은 언약으로 대체하셔야 했습니다. “그러나 이제 그는 더 아름다운 직분을 얻으셨으니 그는 더 좋은 약속으로 세우신 더 좋은 언약의 중보자시라”(히 8:6)
이 새로운 언약은 예수님이 오셔서 그분의 신성한 피로 최고의 희생을 치르셨을 때 성취되었습니다. 그 최고의 희생으로 예수님은 우리에게 그분의 의를 주셨습니다. 로마서 3:21-22은 “이제는 율법 외에 하나님의 한 의가 나타났으니 율법과 선지자들에게 증거를 받은 것이라 곧 예수 그리스도를 믿음으로 말미암아 모든 믿는 자에게 미치는 하나님의 의니 차별이 없느니라”고 선포합니다. 할렐루야! 우리는 그분(예수 그리스도)을 통해 모세의 율법으로는 의로워질 수 없다고 했던 모든 것에서 의롭게 되었습니다. 하나님을 송축합니다!

기도
사랑하는 아버지, 내 죄를 위해 최고의 값을 치르시고 내게 하나님의 의를 주신 예수 그리스도로 인해 감사드립니다. 나는 복음의 기쁜 소식을 기뻐하며 그분의 희생으로 인해 의롭게 되고 모든 죄로부터 자유합니다. 나는 날마다 이 실재 가운데 살며, 다른 사람들에게 이 진리를 나누고, 하나님의 축복의 충만함 안에 행합니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

THE LAW COULDN’T PRODUCE LIFE

“Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins: And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses” (Acts 13:38-39).

Before Jesus came, there was the Law of Moses, not for the whole world, but for Israel.
Under the Law, you had to obey it to be blessed by God; righteousness was achievable only by obeying all the Law. But according to the book of Hebrews, there was no law that could give life neither could men fully obey all the law. “For on the one hand, there is an annulling of the former commandment because of its weakness and unprofitableness, for the law made nothing perfect; on the other hand, there is the bringing in of a better hope, through which we draw near to God” (Hebrews 7:18-19).
Additionally, Hebrews 8:7 says, “For if that first covenant had been faultless, then no place would have been sought for a second.” Thus, the Law could not set men free. In Galatians 3:21, the Apostle Paul tells us that the Law couldn’t give life; it lacked the power to produce righteousness: “Is the law then against the promises of God? Certainly not! For if there had been a law given which could have given life, truly righteousness would have been by the law” (Galatians 3:21).
In Romans 8:3, he further explains what was faulty about the law: “For what the law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh, God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, on account of sin: He condemned sin in the flesh.” God had to replace the old covenant with a better covenant: “But now He has obtained a more excellent ministry, inasmuch as He is also Mediator of a better covenant, which was established on better promises” (Hebrews 8:6).
This new covenant was made when Jesus came and paid the ultimate sacrifice with His divine blood. Because of that ultimate sacrifice, Jesus gave us His righteousness. Romans 3:21-22 declares, “But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference.” Hallelujah! Through Him (Jesus Christ), we’ve been justified from all things from which we couldn’t be justified by the Law of Moses. Blessed be God!

PRAYER
Dear Father, I thank you for the gift of Jesus Christ, who paid the ultimate price for my sins and granted me His righteousness. I rejoice in the good news of the Gospel, knowing that I am justified, free from all guilt because of His sacrifice. I live in this reality every day, sharing this truth with others and walking in the fullness of your blessings, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
