The Eternal Life Through Jesus Christ

“그 안에 생명이 있었으니 이 생명은 사람들의 빛이라 빛이 어둠에 비치되 어둠이 깨닫지 못하더라”(요 1:4-5)

요한복음 10:10은 말씀합니다. “도둑이 오는 것은 도둑질하고 죽이고 멸망시키려는 것뿐이요 내가 온 것은 양으로 생명을 얻게 하고 더 풍성히 얻게 하려는 것이라” 주 예수님은 죽으시고 장사되셨다가 하나님의 영광에 의해 다시 살아나셨습니다. 하나님이 예수님을 죽은 자들로부터 일으키셔서 공개적으로 보이시자 예수님은 모든 사람을 생명으로 부르셨습니다. 따라서 예수님은 영원한 생명을 가능케 하셨습니다. 요한은 이렇게 말했습니다. “이 생명이 나타내신 바 된지라 이 영원한 생명을 우리가 보았고 증언하여 너희에게 전하노니 이는 아버지와 함께 계시다가 우리에게 나타내신 바 된 이시니라”(요일 1:2)

요한복음 17:3은 말씀합니다. “영생은 곧 유일하신 참 하나님과 그가 보내신 자 예수 그리스도를 아는 것이니이다” 예수님은 영원한 생명의 화신이십니다. 그분은 요한복음 14:6에서 “내가 곧 길이요 진리요 생명이니 나로 말미암지 않고는 아버지께로 올 자가 없느니라”고 말씀하셨으며 또 요한복음 6:47에서는 “진실로 진실로 너희에게 이르노니 믿는 자는 영생을 가졌나니”라고 말씀하셨습니다. 영생은 곧 영원한 생명입니다. 예수님을 믿는 자에게는 영원한 생명이 있습니다.

질문은 이것입니다. ‘예수 그리스도를 믿습니까?’ 예수 그리스도를 믿는다면 지금 당신에게는 영원한 생명이 있습니다. 하늘로 갈 때 영원한 생명을 얻는 게 아닙니다. 지금 있습니다. 다시 말해 현재시제로 소유하고 있다는 말입니다. 더 나아가 지금 영원한 생명을 지니고 있음을 확신하지 못한다면, 아마도 당신은 거듭나지 않았을 것입니다. 지금이 바로 당신이 거듭날 때입니다! 지금 예수님께 당신의 심령으로 들어오셔서 당신 삶의 주님이 되어달라고 요청함으로써 영원한 생명을 받을 수 있습니다.

그리스도를 영접할 때 당신은 영원한 생명인 하나님의 신성한 생명과 본성을 받습니다. 당신은 하나님이 아버지이심을 자각하게 되고 그분과 하나가 됩니다.

대단히 절묘한 또 한 가지는 예수 그리스도에게서 영원한 생명만이 오지 않고, 영원한 생명이 “의”와 함께 온다는 사실입니다. 성경은 말씀합니다. “사람이 마음으로 믿어 의에 이르고 입으로 시인하여 구원에 이르느니라”(롬 10:10) 로마서 5:17은 말씀합니다. “한 사람의 범죄로 말미암아 사망이 그 한 사람을 통하여 왕 노릇 하였은즉 더욱 은혜와 의의 선물을 넘치게 받는 자들은 한 분 예수 그리스도를 통하여 생명 안에서 왕 노릇 하리로다” 고린도후서 5:21도 말씀합니다. “하나님이 죄를 알지도 못하신 이를 우리를 대신하여 죄로 삼으신 것은 우리로 하여금 그 안에서 하나님의 의가 되게 하려 하심이라”

기도
사랑하는 아버지, 그리스도 안에서 제가 받은 아버지의 생명과 본성에 대해 감사드립니다. 저는 왕국의 실재를 자각합니다. 저를 사랑하셔서 제게 아버지의 의의 생명과 본성을 주셔서, 이를 힘입어서 아버지의 임재 안에 살며 통치 안에 걷게 하시니 감사합니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

ETERNAL LIFE THROUGH JESUS CHRIST

In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not (John 1:4-5).

The Bible says in John 10:10, “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” The Lord Jesus died, was buried, and raised back to life by the glory of the Father. When God raised Him from the dead and showed Him openly, He called all to life. So, Jesus made eternal life possible. John said, “(For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;)” (1 John 1:2). In John 17:3, the Bible says, “And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.” Jesus is the embodiment of eternal life. He said in John 14:6, “…I am the way, the truth, and the life….” He said in John 6:47, “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.” Everlasting life is eternal life. The one who believes in Jesus has it. The question is, do you believe in Jesus Christ? If you do, then you have eternal life. You’re not going to get it when you get to heaven; you have it now; it’s your present-hour possession. Also, if you’re not sure that you have eternal life, perhaps, you’ve not been born again, this is your moment! You can receive that life now by asking Jesus to come into your heart to be the Lord of your life. When you receive Christ, you receive eternal life; you receive the divine life and nature of God. You’re awakened to the fatherhood of God; you become one with Him. Something else that’s so sublime is that eternal life from Jesus Christ doesn’t come alone; it comes with “Righteousness.” The Bible says, “For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation” (Romans 10:10). Romans 5:17 says, “For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.” 2 Corinthians 5:21 says, “For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.”

PRAYER
Dear Father, I thank you for your life and nature which I received in Christ. I’m awakened to the realities of the Kingdom. Thank you for loving me and giving me your life and nature of righteousness, by which I live in your presence and walk in dominion, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

말씀을 가지고 가십시오
Take With You Words

“이스라엘아 네 하나님 여호와께로 돌아오라 네가 불의함으로 말미암아 엎드러졌느니라 너는 말씀을 가지고 여호와께로 돌아와서 아뢰기를 모든 불의를 제거하시고 선한 바를 받으소서 우리가 수송아지를 대신하여 입술의 열매를 주께 드리리이다”(호 14:1-2)

오늘 본문구절에 나온 “말씀을 가지고”라는 예언적인 말씀에 주목하십시오. 소나 염소를 말하는 것이 아닙니다. 우리는 우리 입술의 수송아지를 가져가야 합니다. 그것은 제물로 드려진 동물보다 더 나은 우리 입술의 제물입니다. 기억하십시오. 수소와 염소의 피로는 죄를 제거할 수 없었습니다(히 9:13-14).

히브리서 13:15(한글킹제임스)는 “그러므로 우리가 그분을 통해서 찬양의 제물을 하나님께 계속해서 드리자 이것이 그의 이름에 감사하는 우리 입술의 열매니라”고 말씀합니다. 여기서 사도 바울은 입술의 열매가 무엇인지를 설명해 줍니다. 곧 말씀입니다! 우리는 말씀으로 그분의 이름에 감사드려야 합니다. “감사드린다”의 헬라어 표현은 ‘호몰로게오(homologeo)’로, 그것은 하나님이 말씀하신 것에 일치하여 고백한다는 뜻입니다. 두 사람이 동의하지 않고는 함께 걸을 수 없습니다(암 3:3). 그러므로 하나님께서는 우리가 그분께 동의하며 걷기를 기대하십니다.

그러므로 베드로가 사도행전 10:36에서 그랬던 것처럼 예수 그리스도가 만유의 주님이심을 선포하는 것이 곧 그분의 이름을 고백하는 것입니다. “주님, 당신은 거룩하고 의로우십니다. 모든 것이 당신께 속했습니다.”라고 말하는 것이 곧 그분의 이름을 고백하는 것입니다. “주는 만물보다 높으시며 당신의 손으로 모든 것을 만드셨습니다.”라고 말하는 것도 그분의 이름을 고백하는 것입니다.

당신이 그분의 이름에 감사드리며 찬양의 제물을 드리는 것이 필요하다는 것을 기억하십시오. 예를 들어 “저에게 하신 일에 대해 감사드립니다. 주님은 제게 혜택을 주셨습니다. 모든 것에서 저를 축복해 주셨습니다.”라고 말할 때, 당신은 그분이 당신을 위해 하신 일들을 인정하고 그분께 감사드리며 그분을 찬양함으로 그분의 이름을 고백하고 있습니다. 그러니, 지금도 주님께 입술의 송아지를 드리십시오! 그분의 이름을 고백하십시오. 할렐루야!

“TAKE WITH YOU WORDS”

O Israel, return unto the Lord thy God; for thou hast fallen by thine iniquity. Take with you words, and turn to the Lord: say unto him, Take away all iniquity, and receive us graciously: so will we render the calves of our lips (Hosea 14:1-2).

Notice the words of the prophet in our theme scripture: “Take with you words,” not bulls and goats. We’re to take the calves (bulls) of our lips; the sacrifices of our lips, which are better than the bulls (animals) offered as sacrifice. Remember, the blood of bulls and goats couldn’t take away sin (Hebrews 9:13-14). Hebrews 13:15 says, “By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name”; then he explains what the fruit of our lips are: words! We’re to give thanks to His Name, rendering words. The expression “giving thanks” in the Greek is ‘homologeo.’ It means to make confessions; to say what God has said in harmony with Him. Two can’t walk together except they be agreed (Amos 3:3). Thus, God expects us to walk in agreement with Him. When you declare that Jesus Christ is Lord of all, as Peter did in Acts 10:36, you’re making confession to His Name. When you say, “Lord, you’re holy and righteous; all things belong to you; thou art exalted above all; your hands have made all things”; that’s making confessions to His Name. Remember, what’s required is that you offer sacrifice of praise, giving thanks to His Name. For example, you say: “Thank you for what you did for me; you’ve really given me the advantage; you’ve blessed me in all things”; you’re according Him credit for what He’s done for you; you’re thanking Him, and making confessions to His Name in a way that praises Him. Even now, render to the Lord the calves of your lips! Make confessions to His Name. Hallelujah!

PRAYER
Dear heavenly Father, I thank you for making my life glorious; you’ve blessed me in all things, and have made me great. Your faithfulness is everlasting. Thank you for giving me the advantage in life, through the Holy Spirit who lives within me. Now I know I can never be disadvantaged, and will always win; blessed be your Name forever. Amen.

You’re The Priest In Your Temple

“하나님 그의 아버지를 위하여 우리를 왕들과 제사장들로 삼으신 그분께 영광과 권세가 영원무궁토록 있을지어다 아멘”(계 1:6)

하나님의 자녀인 당신은 왕 같은 제사장에 속합니다. 오늘의 본문구절은 하나님을 위하여 우리가 왕과 제사장이 되었다고 말씀합니다. 그리고 모든 제사장은 제사를 드려야 합니다(히 8:3). 당신의 성전은 당신의 몸입니다. 그곳은 성령님이 거하시는 성전입니다. 당신이 육체의 성전 곧 하나님이 당신에게 주신 살아있는 장막에 살고 있는 한, 당신에게는 할 일이 있습니다. 바로 제사를 드리는 것입니다. 그것이 구약에 계시된 성전의 목적입니다(대하 7:12).

하나님은 당신의 성전(곧 당신의 몸)에서 그분의 제물을 원하시는데, 그곳의 제사장은 당신입니다. 저는 당신 몸의 제사장이 될 수 없습니다. 그것은 당신에게만 국한된 사적인 성전이기 때문입니다. 당신의 성전을 주관하는 제사장은 당신입니다. 성령님이 바울을 통해 다음과 같이 말씀하신 것은 당연합니다. “그러므로 형제들아 내가 하나님의 모든 자비하심으로 너희를 권고하노니 너희 몸을 하나님이 기뻐하시는 산 제물로 드리라 이는 너희가 드릴 영적 예배니라”(롬 12:1)

베드로전서 2:5는 “너희도 산 돌들로서 영적인 집으로 지어지고 예수 그리스도로 인하여 하나님께서 기뻐하실 영적인 제물들로 드리는 거룩한 제사장이 되느니라”고 말씀합니다. 우리는 살아있는 돌이며, 하나님은 우리가 예수 그리스도로 인해 하나님께 받아들여지는 영적인 제물을 드리기 기대하십니다. 이것은 모든 제물이 다 받아들여지지 않는다는 것을 알려줍니다. 곧 규칙에 의해서 이루어져야 하는 것입니다.

기억해 보십시오. 가인은 하나님께 제물을 드렸지만 하나님께서는 받으시지 않았고, 아벨의 제물은 하나님께서 받으셨습니다(창 4:2-7). 가인은 자신이 선택한 것을 하나님께 드렸고, 아벨은 하나님이 요구하신 것을 하나님께 드렸습니다. 규칙에 따라 행하는 것은 계시된 양식에 따라 다시 말해 말씀을 따라 하는 것입니다.

사도 바울은 “그러므로 우리는 예수로 말미암아 항상 찬송의 제사를 하나님께 드리자 이는 그 이름을 증언하는 입술의 열매니라”(히 13:15)라고 말했습니다. 찬양과 경배와 고백을 하는 가운데 그분의 이름을 증언하는 우리의 입술의 열매는 제사장으로서 우리가 성전에서 드리는 영적인 제물입니다(고전 3:16).

사랑하는 하늘 아버지, 제사장으로써 제물을 드리며 제 삶으로 아버지께 영광을 드리는 특권을 주셔서 감사합니다. 아버지는 영광의 위대한 하나님이시며, 아버지 안에 힘과 위대함이 있습니다. 은혜롭고 친절하며 모든 면에서 경이로우신 아버지를 지금부터 영원히 경배합니다. 제 삶을 영광스럽게 해 주셔서 감사합니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

YOU’RE THE PRIEST IN YOUR TEMPLE

And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen (Revelation 1:6).

As a child of God, you belong in the royal priesthood; our opening text says we’ve been made kings and priests unto God, and every priest has to offer sacrifices (Hebrews 8:3). Your temple is your body; that’s the temple of the Holy Ghost. And as long as you’re in your physical temple?the living tabernacle that God has given to you, you have a job to do: to offer sacrifices. That’s the sole purpose for the temple as revealed in the Old Testament (2 Chronicles 7:12). God is looking to have His sacrifices in your temple (your body), and you’re the priest over your temple. I can’t be the priest in your body, because it’s a private temple, exclusive to you. No wonder the Spirit, through Paul, writes in Romans 12:1, “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.” 1 Peter 2:5 says, “Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.” We’re living stones, and are to offer spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ. That let’s us know that not every sacrifice is acceptable; it has to be by the rules. Remember, Cain offered to God sacrifices that weren’t acceptable, whereas Abel’s sacrifice was acceptable to God (Genesis 4:3-7). Cain brought to God what he chose to bring to God, and Abel brought to God what God asked for. Doing it by the rules is doing it according to the revealed pattern; doing it according to the Word. The Apostle Paul says, “By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name” (Hebrews 13:15). The fruit of our lips in praise, worship, and confessions of His Name in testimony, are spiritual sacrifices we offer as priests in His temple (1 Corinthians 3:16).

PRAYER
Dear heavenly Father, I thank you for the privilege to offer sacrifices as a priest, and honour you with my life. You’re the great God of glory, and in you alone lie strength and greatness. I worship you now and forever, for you’re gracious and kind, marvellous in all your ways. Thank you for making my life glorious, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

A Greater And More Perfect Tabernacle

“그리스도께서는 장래 좋은 일의 대제사장으로 오사 손으로 짓지 아니한 것 곧 이 창조에 속하지 아니한 더 크고 온전한 장막으로 말미암아 염소와 송아지의 피로 하지 아니하고 오직 자기의 피로 영원한 속죄를 이루사 단번에 성소에 들어가셨느니라”(히 9:11-12)

구약 시대에서 솔로몬이 지은 성전은 두 부분으로 분리되어 있었습니다. 제물로 사용될 짐승을 죽이는 성전 뜰인 바깥 부분과 성전 자체였습니다. 성전도 두 부분으로 분리되었는데, 하나는 성소로 제사장만이 들어갈 수 있었습니다.

성전의 다른 한 부분은 지성소로, 두꺼운 커튼으로 성소와는 분리된 장소였습니다. 제사장들이 성소에서 제사를 드리는 동안, 오직 대제사장만이 1년에 한 번 지성소에 들어갈 수 있었습니다. 지성소에 들어가기 위해 대제사장은 그 자신과 다른 사람들을 위해 하나님께 제물을 드려야 했습니다. 그는 오직 짐승의 피로 그곳에 들어갈 수 있었습니다(히 9:6-8). 게다가 한 해가 끝나 그 속죄의 유효기간이 다 되면 다른 제사가 필요했습니다.

매년 대제사장에 의해 드려진 제사에도 불구하고, 죄는 결코 제거되지 않았습니다. 사람들은 여전히 하나님의 임재 근처에도 다가가지 못했습니다. 더구나 대제사장이 제사를 드린 제단은 성전에 있는 모든 도구를 포함하여 제단에 제물을 올려놓기 전 다른 제물로 거룩하게 해야 했습니다. 다시 말해 거룩해야 할 뿐 아니라 그 안의 모든 것을 거룩하게 해야 할 성막 자체는 충분히 거룩하지 못했던 것입니다.

그 후 성경은 멜기세덱의 계열에 따라 대제사장이 된 예수님이 더 크고 온전한 장막으로 오셔서 그분 자신을 드렸다고 말씀합니다. 히브리서 10:5는 “…하나님이 제사와 예물을 원하지 아니하시고 오직 나를 위하여 한 몸을 예비하셨다”고 말씀합니다. 그분의 몸이 더 크고 온전한 장막이므로, 그분을 통해 하나님의 임재가 믿는 모든 사람에게 열리게 되었습니다. 이제 우리는 “…예수의 피를 힘입어 성소에 들어갈 담력을 얻었으니 그 길은 우리를 위하여 휘장 가운데로 열어 놓으신 새로운 살 길이요 휘장은 곧 그의 육체이다”(히 10:19-20)라는 말씀에 힘입어 담대함을 갖습니다.

기도
사랑하는 아버지, 죄를 제거하기 위해 단 한 번으로 모두를 위해 드려진 주 예수님의 희생에 감사드립니다! 저는 이 온전한 희생이 영원하고 완벽하게 나의 죄를 제거해 주었고, 아버지와의 영원한 연합을 이루게 했음을 인정합니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

A GREATER AND MORE PERFECT TABERNACLE

But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building; Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us (Hebrews 9:11-12).

In the Old Testament, the temple Solomon built was divided into two parts: outside was the temple courts, where the animals for sacrifices were killed. Then, there was the temple itself; the first part of it being the holy place, and only the priest could go in there then. The second part of it was the most holy place, separated from the first tabernacle with a thick curtain. While the priest ministered in the holy place, only the high priest could go into the most holy place—the inner sanctuary—and he did that once a year. To go into the most holy place, he had to offer sacrifices to God for himself and for others; he could only go in there with the blood of an animal (Hebrews 9:6-8). Moreover, at the end of one year, that atonement would expire, and another sacrifice would be required. Regardless of the sacrifices performed by the high priest every year, sin was never put away; the presence of God still wasn’t accessible to the people. More so, the altar where the high priest performed the sacrifices had to be sanctified with other sacrifices before the gifts were put on it, including all the utensils in the temple. In other words, the tabernacle that was supposed to be so holy and make things holy, was itself not holy enough. Then the Bible says that Jesus, being a high priest in the order of Melchisedec came with a greater and more perfect tabernacle, and offered Himself once and for all. Hebrews 10:5 says, “… Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me.” His body was the greater and more perfect tabernacle, and through Him, the presence of God is now open to all who believe. Now we have boldness to “…enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh” (Hebrews 10:19-20).

PRAYER
Dear Father, thank you for the sacrifice of the Lord Jesus, offered once and for all, for the blotting away of sins! I acknowledge this perfect sacrifice that has brought me eternal and perfect remission of sin, and into union with you forever, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
