Deal With It With The Word

“그가 그의 말씀을 보내어 그들을 고치시고 위험한 지경에서 건지시는도다”(시 107:20)

대부분의 경우 사람들은 외부의 어떤 힘이 자신의 몸을 공격할 때 아프게 됩니다. 그것은 바이러스일 수도 있고 세균일 수도 있지만 결국 연약함의 영입니다. “연약함의 영”은 아주 작은 존재에서 큰 영적 존재에 이르기까지 모두 포함합니다. 기능은 비슷할 수 있으나 그것들이 결코 당신 몸의 일부는 아닙니다. 그것들은 모두 당신의 몸을 대적(공격)할 수 있는 외부의 힘입니다.

세균이든 바이러스든 귀신이든 모두 동일한 방식으로 다뤄야 합니다. 당신은 그들을 쫓아내야 합니다. 그렇지 않으면, 그들은 당신에게 해를 끼칠 것입니다. 당신은 절대 피해자가 되어서는 안 됩니다. 예수님은 “뱀을 집어올리며 무슨 독을 마실지라도 해를 받지 아니하며 병든 사람에게 손을 얹은즉 나으리라”(막 16:18)고 말씀하셨습니다. 예수님의 말씀을 믿으십시오!

어떤 증상이라도 나타난다면 바로 그때가 말씀으로 증상을 다뤄야 할 때입니다. 당신이 해야 할 방식대로 철저하게 행동하지 않는다면, 고통이 더 심해져서 당신이 기도하기 어려운 상태가 될 것입니다. 사탄의 목적은 당신이 기도하거나 어떤 고백도 할 수 없을 때까지 당신을 약하게 만드는 것입니다.

당신이 행동할 수 있을 때 행동해야 합니다! 성경은 질병으로 인해 모든 식욕을 잃은 사람들에 대해 말합니다(시 107:17-18). 사람이 병에 걸리면 먹기가 힘들어지고, 결과적으로 더욱 약해져서 죽음에 가까워집니다.

기도하지 못할 정도로 너무 약한 상태가 될 때까지 기다리지 마십시오. 당신의 믿음이 역사하게 하십시오. 하나님의 말씀을 묵상하십시오. 하나님의 말씀은 육신의 약입니다(잠 4:22). 오늘의 본문 구절이 “그가 그의 말씀을 보내사 저희를 고치사 파멸에서 건지시는도다”라고 말하는 것은 놀라운 일입니다.

하나님은 약을 보내주신 것이 아니라 말씀을 보내주셨습니다. 그분의 말씀은 아픈 사람들에게 치유와 건강을 주기 때문입니다. 질병이 아무리 심각한 상태이더라도 계속해서 말씀을 묵상하십시오. 당신의 치유와 건강을 계속 고백하십시오. 오래 지나지 않아 연약함은 떠나가고 당신은 승리할 것입니다!

고백

나는 아프기를 거절합니다! 예수를 죽은 자 가운데서 살리신 이의 영이 내 안에 거하시고 그 영이 내 몸을 살리셨습니다. 따라서 나는 내 몸에 아픔, 질병, 허약함에 있을 어떤 자리도 내어주지 않습니다. 나는 내 입술에 있는 하나님의 말씀으로 이 세상의 타락과 부정, 그리고 그들의 부패한 영향력을 쫓아냅니다. 할렐루야!

DEAL WITH IT WITH THE WORD

“He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions” (Psalm 107:20).

Most times, people become sick when an outside force attacks their bodies. It could be a virus or germs, which is a spirit of infirmity. “Spirit of infirmity” refers to anything from very small entities to sizable spiritual beings; they function alike, but they’re not part of your body. They’re all external forces that can come against (attack) your body.

Whether it’s some bacterial or viral, or a demonic force, you ought to deal with all three of them the same way. You’ve got to repel them; otherwise, they’ll cause harm. You should never be a victim. Jesus said, “…if they (Christians) drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them” (Mark 16:18). Believe the words of Jesus!

Once any symptom shows up, that’s the time to deal with it with the Word. If you don’t act as radically as you should, the pain could become so excruciating that it becomes difficult for you to pray. Satan’s goal is for you to get weaker and weaker, until you’re too weak to pray or make any confession.

You’ve got to act when you still can! The Bible talks about certain characters who lose their appetite for all food due to sickness (Psalm 107:17-18). When people fall sick, it becomes difficult for them to eat, and as a result, they get weaker and weaker towards death.

Don’t wait till you get too weak to pray. Put your faith to work. Meditate on the Word of God. The Word of God is medicine to your physical body (Proverbs 4:22). No wonder our theme verse says, “He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.”

He didn’t send drugs; He sent His Word, because His Word produces healing and health for the sick. No matter how severe the sickness might be, just keep meditating on the scriptures. Keep affirming your healing and health and before long, the infirmity will be repelled and you’ll come out victorious!

CONFESSION

I refuse to be sick! The Spirit of Him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwells in me, and that Spirit has made alive my body. Therefore, I give no place to sickness, disease or infirmity in my body! With the Word of God on my lips, I repel the depravities and negativities of this world and their corrupting influences. Hallelujah!

그러자 어떤 일이 일어났는지 아십니까? 여행 중에는 어떤 문제도 없었습니다. 그러나 집에 돌아오고 나서, 제일 처음 먹은 것들을 모두 다 토해버렸습니다! 복통이 다시 찾아왔습니다. 저는 무슨 일이 일어났는지 정확히 이해했습니다. 저는 여행 내내 친구의 권세 아래 있었고, 그것은 실제로 효과가 있었습니다.

그런 믿음이 삶의 문제들을 다루는 데 얼마나 도움이 되겠습니까? 저는 제 믿음이 역사하도록 해야 한다는 것을 깨달았고, 그렇게 했을 때 승리를 경험했습니다. 당신은 말씀에 대한 지식을 늘림으로써 당신의 믿음을 자라게 해야 하고, 믿음을 행함으로 강화시켜야 합니다. 삶은 영적이며 당신은 자신의 삶, 즉 당신에게 일어나는 일들에 대한 책임이 있습니다.

BUILD AND USE YOUR OWN FAITH

“And he said unto them, Where is your faith? And they being afraid wondered, saying one to another, What manner of man is this! for he commandeth even the winds and water, and they obey him” (Luke 8:25).

Sometimes, as long as you’re under the cover of someone else, that person may exercise authority over you and your circumstances and it will produce results, to a certain degree. For example, as a young Christian many years ago, I went on a trip with a friend of mine and a couple of others. We had some preaching engagements.

This happened at a time when I used to experience serious stomach problems, so while we were on this trip, I wouldn’t eat anything because I would throw up whatever I ate within a few minutes of eating it. So, all the time, I had to watch others eat. Finally, my friend couldn’t take it anymore; so, he asked me, “Are you fasting?”

At that point, I opened up and explained the situation to him. Then he said to me, “In that case, as long as we’re together on this trip, you’ll not have any problem with your stomach; eat.” I yielded myself immediately to his words, more like, riding on his faith and started eating normally,

And guess what? There was no problem throughout the trip. But when I got back home, the very first thing I’d eat, I threw it all up! The stomach trouble resurfaced. I understood exactly what happened. I submitted myself to my friend’s authority throughout that journey, and it worked.

But there’s just how far such faith can go in helping you deal with life’s issues. I realized I had to put my own faith to work and when I did, I got the victory. You’ve got to keep growing your own faith by increasing your knowledge of the Word and strengthening it by putting it to work. Life is spiritual and you’re responsible for your life—the things that happen with you.

When the disciples ran to Jesus in desperation during the turmoil on the sea, as read in our theme verse, Jesus asked them, “Where is your faith?” He made them realize they could have done something about the situation without necessarily coming to Him.

It makes no difference what has happened or is happening with your finances, job and health or in any area of your life; don’t fret or cry for help! Use your faith. Declare words of faith. The Bible says, “Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear” (Hebrews 11:3).

With your faith affirmations, you can repair, arrange and reconstruct things and circumstances to synchronize with God’s perfect will for your life.

CONFESSION

It makes no difference what’s happened or is happening around me; with the Word of God on my lips, I repair arrange and reconstruct things in line with God’s perfect will. With my faith, I frame my life in the path of glory and excellence. I’m healthy and strong! No sickness or disease can fasten itself to my body! I’ll never lose or be a victim in this life, because the Word of God on my lips is God talking! I’m a success! Glory to God!

Tongues Of Praise And Intercession

“방언을 말하는 자는 사람에게 하지 아니하고 하나님께 하나니 이는 알아 듣는 자가 없고 영으로 비밀을 말함이라”(고전 14:2)

사도행전 10장에 나오는 베드로가 고넬료의 집에서 사역하던 이야기를 기억해 보십시오. 성경은 말합니다. “베드로가 계속 말하고 있을 때… 메시지를 듣고 있던 모든 사람들에게 성령님이 임하셨습니다. 성령님의 거저 주시는 선물이 이방인들에게도 크게 주어지고 부어지자 베드로와 함께 온 할례 받은 믿는 자들도 [유대인들] 놀라며 경이로워했습니다. 그들이 [알 수 없는] 방언 (언어)를 말하고 하나님을 찬양하고 높이는 것을 들었기 때문입니다.”(행 10:44-46, 확대번역본)

위 말씀의 후반부를 주목해보십시오. 사람들은 방언을 말하며 하나님을 찬양하고 높였습니다. 당신이 위에 묘사된 것처럼 영으로 주님을 찬양하면, 그분의 영광이 당신을 위해 나타납니다. 사도행전 16:25은 바울과 실라가 하나님께 기도하고 찬양하자, 감옥에서 기적이 일어났다고 말합니다.

TONGUES OF PRAISE AND INTERCESSION

“For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries” (1 Corinthians 14:2).

Recall the account in Acts 10 of Peter ministering in the house of Cornelius. The Bible says, “While Peter was still speaking…the Holy Spirit fell on all who were listening to the message. And the believers from among the circumcised [the Jews] who came with Peter were surprised and amazed, because the free gift of the Holy Spirit had been bestowed and poured out largely even on the Gentiles. For they heard them talking in [unknown] tongues (languages) and extolling and magnifying God” (Acts 10:44-46 AMPC).

Notice the latter part; the people were praising—extolling and magnifying God—as they spoke in other tongues. When you praise the Lord from your spirit like that, His glory will be manifested in your behalf. Acts 16:25 says Paul and Silas prayed and sang praises unto God, and as they did, there was a miracle in the prison.

Furthermore, while you’re praying in other tongues, besides praise or prophetic revelation, some of those tongues could also be coming forth through your spirit as intercession. This means that at such moments, in the spirit, you’re praying for someone or some group; it could be your country, your city, or the church.

Oftentimes, it could go from speaking in tongues into deep sighs and groanings; and you can’t explain it, except the Holy Spirit interprets to you in your understanding what the prayer is about. These and more could happen as you pray in tongues. Glory to God!

PRAYER

Dear Father, I extol your majesty, for you alone are deserving of all adoration. Your grace knows no bounds, and your mercy knows no end. Your love is immeasurable, and your loving-kindness surpasses understanding. Thank you, Lord, for your peace, progress and prosperity reign in the nations of the world, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

구하고, 찾고, 두드리십시오

“Ask, Seek, Knock”

“구하라 그리하면 너희에게 주실 것이요 찾으라 그리하면 찾아낼 것이요 문을 두드리라 그리하면 너희에게 열릴 것이니”(마 7:7)

오늘의 본문 구절에서 주님은 우리에게 세 가지 일을 하라고 말씀하십니다. 구하고, 찾고, 두드리십시오. 이는 이 세 가지의 차이점을 암시합니다. 성경을 공부해보면 차이점을 분명히 알 수 있습니다.

예수님은 “구하는 이마다 받을 것이요 찾는 이는 찾아낼 것이요 두드리는 이에게는 열릴 것이니라”(마 7:8)고 말씀하셨습니다. 당신이 구할 때, 그것은 하나님께 구하는 것이거나 당신의 믿음을 바탕으로 요청하는 것입니다. 주님이 다음과 같이 말씀하신 것과 같습니다. 주님께서 “내게 구하라 내가 이방 나라를 네 유업으로 주리니 네 소유가 땅 끝까지 이르리로다”(시 2:8) 주님은 당신이 구하면 받게 될 것이라고 하셨습니다.

그러자 예수님이 다음과 같이 말씀하셨습니다. “내가 너희에게 말하노니 비록 벗됨으로 인하여서는 일어나서 주지 아니할지라도 그 간청함을 인하여 일어나 그 요구대로 주리라”(눅 11:8) 예수님은 그분의 제자들에게 절대 포기하지 말 것과 믿음은 역사한다는 것을 가르쳐주기 위해 이 세 가지를 사용하셨습니다.

기도

사랑하는 아버지, 충만하고 경건한 삶에 필요한 모든 공급이 이미 그리스도를 통해 나에게 주어졌음을 알고 감사드립니다. 그러므로 나는 무엇이든지 예수 이름으로 구하고 응답을 받으라는 초청의 유익을 누립니다. 아멘.

“ASK, SEEK, KNOCK”

“Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you” (Matthew 7:7).

In our opening verse, the Lord tells us to do three things: To ask, seek, and knock. This seems to suggest a difference between the three of them. When you study the Bible, you’ll clearly see the differences.

Jesus said, “For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened” (Matthew 7:8). When you ask, it’s either you’re asking God or you’re making a demand on the basis of your faith. Like when the Lord says, “Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession” (Psalms 2:8). He says when you ask, you’ll receive.

In seeking, you’re not asking anybody; you’re actually in pursuit of something. For instance, you may be seeking knowledge or information on a subject matter. You may even be seeking for opportunities in a certain industry. He says, “seek, and ye shall find.” Seek, and you’ll get it.

Imagine that you asked the Lord for your community and He gave it to you. Even though you’ve received it in your spirit, you still have to go out as an act of faith to get it. That’s what the Master did: “For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost” (Luke 19:10). As you go out and take your steps by faith, you’ll find what you’re looking for.

“Knock” teaches importunity in prayer. Jesus gave an example of a certain man who had a friend come to him at midnight. He didn’t have bread to give him, so he went to knock on another friend’s door to ask for bread. His friend refused to get up because he and his family had already gone to bed, but the man didn’t stop knocking.

Then, Jesus said, “I say unto you, Though he will not rise and give him, because he is his friend, yet because of his importunity he will rise and give him as many as he needeth” (Luke 11:8). Jesus used these three to teach His disciples never to give up, and that faith works.

PRAYER

Dear Father, I’m grateful to know that all the provisions necessary for a fulfilling life and a godly existence have already been made accessible to me through Christ. Therefore, I take advantage of the open invitation to ask anything in the Name of Jesus and receive answers. Amen.

Set Your Focus On The Word

성경에서는 말씀으로 자신을 세우라고 말하지 않는다는 것을 알고 계셨습니까? 오히려 말씀이 당신을 세울 것이라고 말씀합니다. 그러므로 당신이 해야 할 일은 말씀을 먹고 소화하는 것입니다. 말씀을 당신 안에 넣어서, 말씀을 말하고 행할 수 있게 하십시오. 성경은 “그리스도의 말씀이 너희 속에 풍성히 거하여…”(골 3:16)라고 말합니다.

말씀은 당신을 세울 뿐만 아니라 당신에게 유업을 줍니다. 어쩌면 당신의 친구는 할아버지로부터 큰 유산을 물려받아 부자가 되었지만, 당신은 조부모로부터 아무것도 받지 못했을 수도 있습니다. 상관없습니다. 그리스도는 당신이 이 세상에서 얻을 수 있는 모든 유업을 대신하고도 그보다 더 뛰어난 분이십니다.

SET YOUR FOCUS ON THE WORD

“And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified” (Acts 20:32).

Did you notice that the Bible doesn’t tell you to build yourself with the Word; it says the Word will build you. So, all you have to do is digest the Word. Have it inside you, so that you can talk it and live it. The Bible says, “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly…” (Colossians 3:16).

Not only is the Word able to build you up, it’s able to give you an inheritance. Maybe your friend got a large inheritance from his grandfather that made him rich, but you didn’t quite get anything from yours. It makes no difference. Your inheritance in Christ supersedes and outclasses any inheritance you could ever get in this world.

As an heir of God and a joint-heir with Christ, you’re the inheritor of everything God owns, which includes the whole world. Psalm 24:1 says, “The earth is the LORD’s, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.” In Haggai 2:8, He said, “The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, saith the LORD of hosts.”

Also, read Psalm 50:10-12; the Lord said, “For every beast of the forest is mine, and the cattle upon a thousand hills. I know all the fowls of the mountains: and the wild beasts of the field are mine…for the world is mine, and the fulness thereof.” This should give you an idea of your inheritance in Christ.

The inheritance was given to you in Christ Jesus the moment you were born again. You were given all things that pertain to life and godliness. But Satan, being a rebel, may try to cheat you out of God’s best. But stand your ground and keep your focus on the Word of God. Every so often, you declare, “I’m what God says I am, and I have what God says I have. The whole world is mine. Glory to God.”

PRAYER

Dear Father, your Word is my guide, my strength, and my inheritance. I grow and flourish in every area of my life; I’m built up and strengthened by the Word. Thank you for the power and glory of your Word in my life, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Your Labour Is Not In Vain

“하나님은 불의하지 아니하사 너희 행위와 그의 이름을 위하여 나타낸 사랑으로 이미 성도를 섬긴 것과 이제도 섬기고 있는 것을 잊어버리지 아니하시느니라”(히 6:10)

잠언 14:23은 모든 수고에는 유익이 있다고 말합니다. 복음을 위해 당신이 행하거나 희생한 일 모두 다 기록되어 있으며(말 3:16), 주님은 그것에 대해 상을 주십니다. 수십 년 전, 주님은 제가 한 일과 사랑의 수고를 잊을만큼 불의한 분이 아니라는 사실을 알려주셨을 때, 그 진리는 저에게 엄청난 기쁨이 되었습니다.

저는 외딴 마을들에서 복음을 전하고 집회를 여느라 제 시간과 삶을 낭비하고 있다는 말을 듣곤 했습니다. 그러나 오늘의 본문 구절을 읽고 나서 기쁨의 눈물이 났습니다. 저는 주님을 찬양하고, 소리치고, 경배했습니다.

주님의 일을 하다가 사방에서 핍박을 받는 것 같을 때가 있습니다. 마치 당신의 시간과 삶을 낭비하고 있는 것 같습니다. 그럴 때마다 하나님은 당신이 한 일과 사랑의 수고를 잊을 만큼 불의한 분이 아니라는 사실을 항상 기억하십시오.

그분은 당신이 하는 모든 일과 복음 전파를 위해 한 일에 대해 상을 주실 것입니다. 그분은 영혼구원을 위한 당신의 모든 기도, 복음 전파를 위한 재정적 기여, 그리스도께 영혼들을 이겨오기 위한 개인적인 복음 전파의 노력, 그리고 당신의 모든 헌신에 대해 상을 주실 것입니다.

예수님이 하신 말씀을 기억하십시오. “… 내가 진실로 너희에게 이르노니 나와 복음을 위하여 집이나 형제나 자매나 어머니나 아버지나 자식이나 전토를 버린 자는 현세에 있어 집과 형제와 자매와 어머니와 자식과 전토를 백 배나 받되 박해를 겸하여 받고 내세에 영생을 받지 못할 자가 없느니라 그러나 먼저 된 자로서 나중 되고 나중 된 자로서 먼저 될 자가 많으니라”(막 10:29-31) 당신의 축복은 천국에 갈 때까지 미뤄지는 것이 아닙니다. 당신의 축복은 이 땅에서부터 시작됩니다.

주님을 위해 무슨 일을 하고 있든지 그 일을 지속하십시오. 계속해서 그분의 말씀을 전파하십시오. 그분의 의를 계속 전하십시오. 그분의 영광으로 당신의 세상에 계속 영향을 주십시오. 굳건하고 흔들리지 않으며, 항상 주님의 일에 더욱 힘쓰십시오. 이는 당신의 수고가 주 안에서 헛되지 않은 줄 알기 때문입니다(고전 15:58).

YOUR LABOUR IS NOT IN VAIN

“For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister” (Hebrews 6:10).

The Bible says in Proverbs 14:23 that there’s profit in all labour. Everything you do or sacrifice for the sake of the Gospel is recorded (Malachi 3:16), and the Lord also rewards you for it. This gave me immense joy decades ago when the Lord showed me that He’s not unrighteous to forget my work or labour of love.

I had been told I was wasting my time and my life for preaching the Gospel and holding crusades in remote villages. But then I saw our opening verse and wept for joy. I praised, screamed, and worshipped the Lord.

There’re times you’re about the Lord’s work and there seem to be persecutions from all angles. And it’s as though you’re wasting your time, and wasting your life; at such times, always remember that God isn’t unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love.

He’ll reward you for all that you do, and have done in the propagation of the Gospel. He will reward you for all your prayers for souls to be saved, your financial contributions to the spread of the Gospel, your personal evangelical efforts to win souls to Christ, and all your sacrifices.

Remember the words of Jesus: “…Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel’s, But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life…” (Mark 10:29-31). Your blessing isn’t deferred until you get to heaven. It begins here on earth.

Whatever you’re doing for the Lord, keep at it. Keep spreading His Word. Keep spreading His righteousness. Keep impacting your world with His glory. Remain steadfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord (1 Corinthians 15:58).

PRAYER

Dear Father, my heart is filled with joy to know that my labour and sacrifices in and for the Kingdom are not in vain! I remain steadfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that there’s a great reward for my labour in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

사드락, 메삭, 아벳느고가 주는 교훈

A Cue From Shadrach, Meshach, And Abednego

“… 느부갓네살이여… 우리가 섬기는 하나님이 계시다면 우리를 맹렬히 타는 풀무불 가운데에서 능히 건져내시겠고 왕의 손에서도 건져내시리이다 그렇게 하지 아니하실지라도 왕이여 우리가 왕의 신들을 섬기지도 아니하고 왕이 세우신 금 신상에게 절하지도 아니할 줄을 아옵소서”(단 3:16-18)

사드락, 메삭, 아벳느고는 왕이 세운 금 신상에 절하지 않으면 풀무불 가운데 불타게 될 것이라는 협박을 받았습니다. 그들은 타협하기를 거부했고, 겁먹기보다 죽는 것을 선택했습니다. 우리는 오늘의 본문 구절을 통해 그들의 주님에 대한 완전한 헌신과 확신을 볼 수 있습니다.

하나님을 향한 그들의 흔들리지 않는 믿음은 왕을 분노케 했고, 왕은 그들을 맹렬한 풀무불에 던져 넣으라고 명령했습니다. 불이 어찌나 뜨거웠던지 그들을 던진 사람들 역시 불타 죽었습니다. 그러나, 사드락, 메삭, 아벳느고는 하나도 다치지 않았습니다. 주님은 그들을 보호해 주셨습니다.

느부갓네살은 그들이 맹렬히 타는 풀무불에도 해를 입지 않는 것을 보고 회개하여 이렇게 선포했습니다. “… 사드락과 메삭과 아벳느고의 하나님을 찬송할지로다 그가 그의 천사를 보내사 자기를 의뢰하고 그들의 몸을 바쳐 왕의 명령을 거역하고 그 하나님 밖에는 다른 신을 섬기지 아니하며 그에게 절하지 아니한 종들을 구원하셨도다 그러므로 내가 이제 조서를 내리노니 각 백성과 각 나라와 각 언어를 말하는 자가 모두 사드락과 메삭과 아벳느고의 하나님께 경솔히 말하거든 그 몸을 쪼개고 그 집을 거름터로 삼을지니 이는 이같이 사람을 구원할 다른 신이 없음이니라 하더라”(단 3:28-29)

이것이 바로 주눅들게 하는 극심한 반대에도 당신이 믿음으로 굳게 서 있을 때 일어나는 일입니다. 얼마 지나지 않아 당신의 비방자들은 당신의 믿음과 확신에 감동하여 구원에 이르게 될 것입니다. 그러므로 당신의 삶을 다해 하나님을 섬기십시오.

복음 전하다가 직업을 잃을 지라도 당신의 영 안에 있는 주님의 기쁨은 빼앗길 수 없습니다. 당신의 직장은 없어질지라도, 영은 없어지지 않습니다. 하나님은 전능하십니다. 하나님을 신뢰하십시오. 그리스도와 복음의 메시지에 대한 당신의 확신을 표현하는 일에 주저하거나, 의기소침해지거나, 미안해하지 마십시오. 하나님은 그 어떤 정부, 기관, 권력보다 크십니다. 하나님은 우주를 다스리는 분이십니다.

그러므로 하나님을 위해 믿음으로 굳게 서십시오. 사드락, 메삭, 아벳느고에게서 배우십시오.

고백

내 영에 있는 하나님의 말씀은 매우 강합니다. 말씀은 불처럼 타올라 내 뼛속까지 들어갑니다. 그 무엇도 나의 믿음의 고백과 그리스도의 복음을 선포하는 것을 방해할 수 없습니다. 내 안에 거하시는 성령으로 말미암아 나는 힘을 얻고 강해집니다. 하나님은 나를 완전한 승리자로 만드셨습니다. 하나님을 송축합니다!

A CUE FROM SHADRACH, MESHACH AND ABEDNEGO

“…O Nebuchadnezzar…our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king. But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up” (Daniel 3:16-18).

Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego were threatened by the government of the day to bow down to the king’s golden image or burn in the fiery furnace. They refused to compromise, choosing rather to die than to cower. Their inspiring statement of conviction and absolute commitment to the Lord is what we read in our theme scripture.

Their unwavering faith in God infuriated the king, who ordered that they be thrown into the fiery furnace. The fire was so intense that it burnt and killed the men that threw them in. Howbeit, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego were unscathed. The Lord protected them.

When Nebuchadnezzar noticed they were unhurt by the blazing furnace, he repented and declared, “…Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who hath sent his angel, and delivered his servants that trusted in him….Therefore I make a decree, That every people, nation, and language, which speak anything amiss against the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, shall be cut in pieces, and their houses shall be made a dunghill: because there is no other God that can deliver after this sort” (Daniel 3:28-29).

That’s what happens when you stand your ground in faith, in spite of fierce and daunting opposition. Soon enough, your detractors will be inspired by your faith and convictions, which could lead to their salvation. So, serve God with your life.

Your job may be taken away from you for preaching the Gospel, but they can’t take away the joy of the Lord that’s in your spirit. They may liquidate your company, but they can’t liquidate your spirit. God is able! Trust Him. Never find yourself apologetic, intimidated, or reluctant to express your convictions about Christ and the message of the Gospel. He’s greater than any government, institution or power. He’s the Monarch of the universe.

Therefore, stand your ground for Him in faith. Take a cue from Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego.

CONFESSION

The Word of God is in my spirit so strong; it’s as fire shut up in my bones and nothing can hinder the affirmation of my faith and my proclamation of the Gospel of Christ. I’m strengthened and energized by the Holy Spirit who lives in me, and He’s made me an absolute victor. Blessed be God!

Always Exercise Your Faith

“… 하나님께서 각 사람에게 나누어 주신 믿음의 분량대로 지혜롭게 생각하라”(롬 12:3)

오늘의 본문 구절에서 말하는 내용을 살펴보십시오. 하나님은 모든 사람에게 믿음의 분량을 주셨습니다. 하나님은 이미 그 일을 하셨습니다. 그분은 당신에게 “믿음의 분량”을 주셨습니다. 이는 우리 각자가 복음을 받았을 때 동일한 분량의 믿음을 받았다는 뜻입니다.

주 예수님에 따르면, 아주 작은 믿음으로도 불가능한 일들을 할 수 있습니다. “… 진실로 너희에게 이르노니 만일 너희에게 믿음이 겨자씨 한 알만큼만 있어도 이 산을 명하여 여기서 저기로 옮겨지라 하면 옮겨질 것이요 또 너희가 못할 것이 없으리라”(마 17:20) 믿음이란 무엇입니까? 성경은 믿음을 어떻게 정의합니까?

그 대답은 히브리서 11:1에 있습니다. “믿음은 [우리가] 바라는 것들의 보증(확증, 증서)이요 [우리가] 보지 못하는 것들의 증거니…”(확대번역본) 믿음은 어떻게 옵니까? 믿음은 말씀을 통해 옵니다. “그러므로 믿음은 들음에서 나며 들음은 그리스도의 말씀으로 말미암았느니라”(롬 10:17)

주님은 당신이 작은 믿음의 수준에 머물기를 원치 않으십니다. 하나님은 당신의 믿음이 자라고 강해지기를 원하십니다. 로마서 10:17은 우리에게 믿음이 하나님의 말씀을 들음에서 온다고 말해줍니다. 중요한 것은 “듣는 것”입니다. 즉, 당신의 영을 지속적으로 하나님의 말씀으로 폭격하는 것입니다. 그러나 당신의 믿음을 강하게 하고 효과적이게 하는 방법은 믿음을 행하는 것입니다. 말씀대로 행동하는 것입니다.

당신의 믿음은 행하지 않으면 약해집니다. 만일 하나님의 말씀을 계속 받으면서도 행하지 않는다면, 당신의 믿음은 약해질 것입니다. 약한 믿음은 사람을 흔들리게 합니다. 결과적으로 두려움에 사로잡혀 삶의 위기에 패배하게 됩니다. 약한 믿음에 대한 해결책은 말씀을 실천하는 것입니다. 말씀대로 행하는 것입니다.

하나님의 말씀을 더 많이 묵상하고 실천할수록, 당신의 믿음은 더욱 크고 강해집니다. 성경은 아브라함에 대해 이렇게 말합니다. “믿음이 없어 하나님의 약속을 의심하지 않고 믿음으로 견고하여져서 하나님께 영광을 돌리며”(롬 4:20) 작고 사소한 일에도 믿음을 사용하여 당신의 믿음을 강하게 세우십시오. 항상 당신의 믿음을 행하십시오. 말씀대로 행하고 당신의 믿음을 강하게 만드십시오.

기도

사랑하는 아버지, 내 믿음을 세워주고, 보이지 않는 것을 보게 하고, 불가능한 일들을 하게 하는 당신의 말씀에 감사드립니다. 내 믿음은 세상을 이긴 승리입니다. 그 믿음으로 나는 오직 건강, 번영, 승리, 가능성의 그림만 봅니다. 나는 말씀 안에 있는 믿음으로 그리스도 안에 있는 나의 유업을 활용하고, 복음의 충만한 축복 가운데 삽니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

ALWAYS EXERCISE YOUR FAITH

“…God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith” (Romans 12:3).

Observe what our opening verse says: God has given to every man the measure of faith. He’s already done it. He’s given you “the measure of faith.” This means each one of us was given the same measure of faith when we received the Gospel.

According to the Lord Jesus, with the smallest ounce of faith, you can do the impossible: “…verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you” (Matthew 17:20). But what is faith? How does the Bible define faith?

The answer is in Hebrews 11:1. It says, “Now faith is the assurance (the confirmation, the title deed) of the things [we] hope for, being the proof of things [we] do not see…” (AMPC). How does faith come? It’s through the Word: “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God” (Romans 10:17).

The Lord doesn’t want you to remain at the level of small faith; He wants your faith to grow and be strong. Romans 10:17 tells us that faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. The emphasis is on “hearing,” that is, the continued bombardment of your spirit with the Word of God. But the way to build your faith strong and make it effective is by exercising it; that is, acting on the Word.

Your faith will be weak if you don’t exercise it. If you keep receiving God’s Word and do nothing with it, your faith will be weak. Weak faith causes people to stagger, and as a result, fear grips them and they’re defeated by the crisis of life. However, the cure for weak faith is putting the Word to work; acting on the Word.

The more you meditate on God’s Word and put it to work, the greater, and stronger your faith. The Bible says about Abraham, “He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God” (Romans 4:20). Build your faith strong by using it even in the seemingly small or simple matters of life. Exercise your faith all the time. Act on the Word, and build your faith strong.

PRAYER

Dear Father, I thank you for your Word that builds my faith and causes me to see the invisible and do the impossible. My faith is the victory that overcomes the world, for with it, I see only pictures of health, prosperity, victory, and possibility. By faith in the Word, I consciously take advantage of my inheritance in Christ, walking in the fullness of the blessings of the Gospel, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Exalted With Him In Glory

“긍휼이 풍성하신 하나님이 우리를 사랑하신 그 큰 사랑을 인하여… 우리를 그리스도와 함께 살리셨고… 또 함께 일으키사 그리스도 예수 안에서 함께 하늘에 앉히시니”(엡 2:4-6)

그리스도와 함께 하늘에 앉혀졌다는 것은 당신이 권세, 통치, 능력의 가장 높은 위치로 높임을 받았다는 의미입니다. 에베소서 1:21은 그리스도 안에서 높아진 당신의 위치에 대해 더 많은 통찰을 선사합니다. 당신의 위치는 다음과 같습니다. “모든 통치와 권세와 능력과 주권과 이 세상뿐 아니라 오는 세상에 일컫는 모든 이름 위에 뛰어나게 하시고” 얼마나 대단한 말씀입니까!

주 예수님은 모든 종류의 영적 존재들보다 훨씬 위에 계십니다. 정사와 권세와 능력과 주권 위에, 그 어떤 이름보다 뛰어나십니다. 그리고 당신은 그분 안에 있습니다. 아버지께서 그분을 영광의 높은 곳에 두시며 만물을 그분의 발 아래 복종하게 하시고, 그분을 만물 위에 교회의 머리로 삼으셨습니다(엡 1:22-23).

교회는 그리스도의 몸입니다. 따라서 당신은 이 영광스러운 권세의 자리에 그분과 함께 앉아 있습니다. 당신은 영광 중에 그분과 함께 높임을 받았습니다. 누군가는 “너무 멀리 간 것 아닌가요? 우리 자신을 그렇게 높이 평가해야 하나요?”라고 말할 수도 있습니다. 당연히 그렇습니다! 우리가 요구한 것이 아닙니다. 하나님의 은혜와 사랑의 결과입니다. 오늘의 본문 구절을 다시 한번 읽어보십시오.

성경은 마땅히 생각할 그 이상으로 자신을 높게 생각하지 말라고 말합니다. “내게 주신 은혜로 말미암아 너희 각 사람에게 말하노니 마땅히 생각할 그 이상의 생각을 품지 말고…”(롬 12:3) 하나님은 당신이 스스로를 높게 생각하기를 원하시지만, 마땅히 생각해야 할 것보다 더 높게 생각하지 않기를 원하십니다.

즉, 그리스도 안에 있는 형제자매보다 당신이 더 높다고 생각하지 마십시오. 우리 모두 그리스도 안에서 이 높은 자리에 함께 앉아있기 때문입니다. 우리는 모두 하나님께 평등하고 가치 있는 존재입니다. 우리는 선택받은 자이며, 하나님의 왕족이고, 독특한 존재입니다.

EXALTED WITH HIM IN GLORY

“But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us… hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus” (Ephesians 2:4-6).

To be seated with Christ in the heavenly realms means you’ve been exalted to the highest position of authority, dominion and power. Ephesians 1:21 gives further insight into your exalted position in Christ. It describes where you are as, “Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named….” How profound this is!

The Lord Jesus has been set far above all the different classes of spiritual beings: principalities, powers, might or thrones, dominions and every name that is named, and you’re in Him. The Father set Him in this high place of glory, placed all things under His feet, and legally declared Him to be the head over all things for the benefit of the Church (Ephesians 1:22-23).

The Church is His body; therefore, you’re seated with Him in this glorious place of authority. You’re elevated with Him in glory. Someone might say, “Isn’t that going too far? Should we really think so highly of ourselves?” Emphatically yes! We didn’t ask for it; it’s the result of His grace and love. Read our opening scripture again.

What the Bible says is that you shouldn’t think of yourself more highly than you ought to think: “For I say,…to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think… (Romans 12:3). God wants you to think highly of yourself, but not more highly than you ought to think.

In other words, don’t think you’re higher than your fellow brothers or sisters in Christ, because we’re all together in this exalted place in Christ. We’re all equal and valuable to God. We’re chosen, royal and peculiar.

See how Paul describes it in Ephesians 2:6 AMPC: “And He raised us up together with Him and made us sit down together [giving us joint seating with Him] in the heavenly sphere [by virtue of our being] in Christ Jesus (the Messiah, the Anointed One).” Hallelujah! How could you read this and not think highly of yourself? You’re exalted with Him in glory; it’s a joint seating in the heavenly sphere.

CONFESSION

I’m seated with Christ, far above all principality, power, might, dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come! I’m exalted with Him in glory; I know who I am: chosen, royal, and peculiar!

The Glory In Us

“하나님이 그들로 하여금 이 비밀의 영광이 이방인 가운데 얼마나 풍성한지를 알게 하려 하심이라 이 비밀은 너희 안에 계신 그리스도시니 곧 영광의 소망이니라”(골 1:27)

오늘의 본문 구절 가운데 강력한 부분을 잘 보십시오. “너희 안에 계신 그리스도시니 곧 영광의 소망이니라” 이 구절은 “당신과 함께 있는 그리스도” 혹은 “하늘에 계신 그리스도”라고 말하지 않습니다. 이것이 비밀입니다. 성경 전체에 걸쳐 일관성 있게 유지되는 계시입니다.

우리는 창세기에서 바람이 불 때 동산에 거니시는 하나님의 음성을 들은 아담과 하와에 대해 읽을 수 있습니다(창 3:8). 하나님은 아브라함, 이삭, 야곱과 같은 사람들에게 여러 차례 나타나셨습니다. 하나님이 자신을 나타내실 때마다 그분을 만난 사람들은 하나님을 만난 장소를 상징하는 제단을 쌓았습니다.

하지만 그런 만남은 자주 일어나지 않았습니다. 그들은 하나님과 지속적인 교제 관계에 있지 않았습니다. 그러나 하나님은 새로운 계획을 가지고 계셨습니다. 하나님은 모세에게 자신을 나타내시고 여호와 – 장막 안에 계신 주님 – 그분의 백성들의 하나님이라고 소개하셨습니다. 하나님은 모세에게 백성들을 만날 수 있는 장막을 지을 것을 지시하셨습니다. 주님의 영광이 성막에 있었고, 모세는 그곳에서 하나님과 교제했습니다.

백성들은 여정을 다니는 내내 여호와의 임재를 상징하는 성막을 가지고 다녔습니다. 이후, 다윗은 하나님을 위한 영구적인 성전을 건축하기 원했습니다. 그러나 하나님은 다윗의 아들인 솔로몬에게 그 계획을 맡기셨습니다. 솔로몬은 웅장한 성전을 건축했고, 하나님은 성전이 완성되자 그곳을 하나님의 영광으로 채우셨습니다(대하 7:1-3).

그러나 하나님께 감사드립니다. 오늘날 솔로몬의 성전에 나타난 것보다 더 큰 영광이 있습니다. 모세가 하나님의 임재 안에서 산에서 본 것보다 더 큰 영광이 우리 안에 거합니다. 할렐루야! 낮에는 구름기둥, 밤에는 불기둥으로 나타나셨던 성령님이 이제 우리 안에 거하십니다. 오, 우리가 얼마나 영광스러운 존재가 되었는지요!

기도

사랑하는 아버지, 내 심령 안에 있는 당신의 놀라운 임재에 감사드립니다. 내 안에 계신 그리스도는 영광의 소망이십니다! 나는 모든 상황을 다스리고 통치할 은혜와 능력을 받았습니다. 나는 나에게 힘주시는 그리스도를 통해 모든 것을 할 수 있습니다. 내 안에 계신 그리스도는 지속적인 승리와 끝이 없는 성공에 대한 나의 보장이십니다. 하나님을 송축합니다!

THE GLORY IN US

“To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory” (Colossians 1:27).

Observe the powerful construction in the verse above; it says, “Christ in you, the hope of glory.” It doesn’t say, “Christ with you” or “Christ from Heaven.” This is the mystery—a revelation that remains consistent throughout Scriptures.

In the book of Genesis, we read of God’s voice walking in the garden in the cool of the day, as Adam and Eve heard His voice (Genesis 3:8). At various times, God appeared to individuals like Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Whenever He revealed Himself, they built altars as symbols of the places where they met with Him.

However, such encounters were occasional; they were not in constant fellowship with Him. But God had a new plan. He revealed Himself to Moses and introduced His name as Jehovah—the Lord in the camp—God among His people. He instructed Moses to build a tent, where He would meet with them. The glory of the Lord entered the Tabernacle, and Moses communed with God there.

As they journeyed, the tabernacle was carried with them, symbolizing the presence of the Lord. Later, David desired to build a permanent house for God, but God gave the plans to Solomon, David’s son. Solomon constructed the magnificent temple, and when it was completed, God filled it with His glory (2 Chronicles 7:1-3).

But thanks be unto God; today, a greater glory than what was manifested in the temple of Solomon; a greater glory than the one Moses saw on the mountain in the presence of God resides in us. Hallelujah! The Holy Spirit, who manifested as the pillar of cloud by day and the pillar of fire by night, now dwells within us. O, how glorious we have become!

PRAYER

Dear Father, thank you for your amazing presence, in the quarters of my heart. Christ in me, the hope of glory! I’ve been granted the grace and ability in Christ to reign and rule over all circumstances! I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Christ in me is my assurance of a life of continuous victory and unending success. Blessed be God!
