Your Knowledge Of Him
“그의 신기한 능력으로 생명과 경건에 속한 모든 것을 우리에게 주셨으니 이는 자기의 영광과 덕으로써 우리를 부르신 이를 앎으로 말미암음이라”(벧후 1:3)
경건한 삶을 위해 당신이 더 필요로 하거나 더 바랄 수 있는 것은 아무것도 없습니다. 그러나 그리스도 안에서 이미 당신의 소유가 된 모든 것을 삶에서 현실로 만드는 방법은 하나님에 대한 당신의 지식이 기능하게 하는 것입니다. 오늘의 본문 구절을 다시 읽어보십시오. 이는 하나님에 대한 당신의 지식에 대한 것입니다. 이런 종류의 지식은 완전하고 정확한 지식, “에피그노시스”(헬라어)입니다.
하나님의 공급이 성경에 기록되어 있다고 해서 당신의 삶에 바로 나타나는 것은 아닙니다. 당신이 반드시 가지고 있어야 할 하나님에 대한 지식이 있습니다. 이는 알고 있는 사람과 알려진 내용을 통합하는 지식입니다.
하나님을 아는 것의 가장 아름답고 강력한 점은 그분이 당신에게 주신 모든 것을 알게 되고 누릴 수 있을 뿐만 아니라 당신 자신에 대해서도 알게 된다는 것입니다. 하나님을 더 알수록, 당신 자신에 대해서도 더 알게 됩니다. 하나님의 말씀은 당신을 비춥니다. 그분 안에서 당신은 스스로를 볼 수 있습니다. 당신이 하나님을 알기 전까지는 결코 하나님이 당신을 아시듯이 자신에 대해서 알 수 없습니다.
하나님을 알고 당신을 발견하는 방법은 말씀을 공부하고 묵상하는 것입니다. 고린도후서 3:18은 말씀이 당신의 진정한 모습을 보여주는 하나님의 거울임을 알려줍니다. “우리가 다 수건을 벗은 얼굴로 거울을 보는 것 같이 주의 영광을 보매 그와 같은 형상으로 변화하여 영광에서 영광에 이르니 곧 주의 영으로 말미암음이니라”
하나님의 거울을 들여다보며 그리고 주님이 어떤 분이신지 앎으로 당신이 진정 누구인지 찾고 발견하십시오. 말씀이 당신이 누구이며 무엇을 가지고 있는 지에 대해 말하는 내용을 깨닫는 순간, 말씀대로 고백하며 반응하십시오. 바로 이것이 하나님의 말씀이 당신의 삶에 이루어지도록 하는 방법입니다.
에베소서 1:3은 하나님이 그리스도 안에서 하늘에 속한 모든 신령한 복으로 당신을 축복하셨다고 말합니다. 그리고 고린도전서 3:21은 “만물이 다 너희 것임이라”고 선포합니다. 하나님은 당신이 승리하고 성공하는 데 필요한 모든 것을 당신에게 이미 주셨습니다.
기도
사랑하는 아버지, 이 세상에서 성공과 승리의 경건한 삶을 위해 필요한 모든 것을 주시니 감사합니다. 나는 축복으로 충만합니다. 내가 당신의 말씀을 들여다볼 때, 나는 변화됩니다. 당신의 영광이 내 안에서, 나를 통해 나타납니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

YOUR KNOWLEDGE OF HIM
“According as his divine power hath given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue” (2 Peter 1:3).
There’s nothing you could ever need or desire for a godly life that’s not already yours. But the way to make all that’s already yours in Christ a reality in your life is a function of your knowledge of Him. Read our theme scripture again: it’s about your knowledge of Him. This kind of knowledge is full, exact knowledge—“epignosis” (Greek).
God’s provisions aren’t going to come to pass in your life just because they’re written in the pages of the Bible; there’s a knowledge of Him that you must have; knowledge that unites the knower with that which is known.
Something so beautiful and powerful about knowing Him is that not only do you get to know, and are able to appropriate all that He’s given to you, but you also get to know yourself. The more you know Him, the more you know yourself. His Word mirrors you; in Him, you see you. You can never really know yourself as God knows you until you know Him.
The way to know Him, and get to discover you, is to study and meditate on the Word. 2 Corinthians 3:18 shows the Word to be the mirror of God that reveals your true description. It says, “…we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.”
Search and discover who you really are, by looking into the mirror of God; by getting to know the Lord. The moment you get a hold of what the Word says is yours, or who the Word says you are, respond by affirming accordingly. That’s how you endorse His Word to come to pass in your life.
Ephesians 1:3 says God has blessed you with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ, and 1 Corinthians 3:21 declares, “…all things are yours.” God has given you everything you require to live victoriously and be a success in life.
PRAYER
Dear Father, I thank you for giving me everything I need for a godly life of success and victory in this world. I’m full and loaded with blessings; and as I look into your Word, I’m transfigured; your glory is revealed in, and through me, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
