당신의 혀는 나침반입니다

Your Tongue Is The Compass

“우리가 다 실수가 많으니 만일 말에 실수가 없는 자라면 곧 온전한 사람이라 능히 온 몸도 굴레 씌우리라”(약 3:2)

잠언 18:21은 말합니다. “죽고 사는 것이 혀의 힘에 달렸나니…” 이는 주님께서 마태복음 12:37에서 말씀하신 바와 비슷합니다. “네 말로 의롭다 함을 받고 네 말로 정죄함을 받으리라” 당신의 성품은 당신이 하는 생각을 통해 형성되고, 당신이 하는 말을 통해 표현됩니다. 당신의 입에서 나오는 말이 곧 당신의 삶입니다.

오늘의 본문 구절에서 보듯이 그리스도인의 완전함이나 성숙도는 주로 의사소통에서 나타납니다. 만일 당신이 삶에서 바른 방향으로 가고 싶다면, 바로 당신의 혀가 나침반의 역할을 합니다. 부정적인 말을 한다면 당신의 삶은 안 좋아질 것입니다. 그러나 건전한 말을 한다면 당신의 삶은 위대해질 것입니다. 당신이 하는 말이 당신을 좌지우지합니다. 잠언 15:4은 “건전한 혀는 생명나무이나…”(한글흠정역)라고 말합니다. 저는 베드로가 베드로전서 3:10에서 설명한 말에 대한 내용을 좋아합니다. “그러므로 생명을 사랑하고 좋은 날 보기를 원하는 자는 혀를 금하여 악한 말을 그치며 그 입술로 거짓을 말하지 말고” 다시 말해, 바른 고백을 유지하라는 것입니다.

당신의 축복이 있는 곳은 당신의 입입니다. 로마서 10:10은 말합니다. “… 입으로 시인하여 구원에 이르느니라” 이것은 원리입니다. 하나님은 여호수아에게 “이 율법책을 네 입에서 떠나지 말게 하며 주야로 그것을 묵상하여…”(수 1:8)라고 말씀하셨습니다. 이는 지속적으로 말씀을 고백하라는 뜻입니다.

주변에서 무슨 일이 일어나든지 말씀이 당신의 입술에서 떠나지 않게 하십시오. 성경은 “사람들이 쓰러지거든 그때에 너는 이르기를, 그분께서 높여 주시리라, 하라…”(욥 22:29, 한글흠정역)고 말합니다. 다시 한번 강조합니다. 당신이 무엇을 말하는 지가 중요합니다. 상황이 어렵고 힘들 때 일이 해결되기를 기다리지 마십시오. 당신은 해결할 능력을 가지고 있습니다. 그 능력은 당신의 입에 있습니다.

당신이 원하는 것은 무엇입니까? 모두 당신의 입에 있습니다. 당신의 입은 당신의 삶을 하나님의 온전한 뜻의 방향으로 올바르게 조종하는 나침반입니다. 하나님을 송축합니다!

기도

나는 건전한 혀를 가지고 있습니다. 내 말은 내 삶을 향한 하나님의 완전한 뜻과 방향에 일치하도록 조정됩니다. 나는 신성한 건강, 번영, 승리, 성공, 재정적 풍요 가운데 삽니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

YOUR TONGUE IS THE COMPASS

“For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body” (James 3:2).

Proverbs 18:21 says, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue….” It parallels what theNMaster said in Matthew 12:37, “For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.” Through your thoughts, your character is formed, but it’s expressed through your words. Your mouth-work is your life.

As revealed in our opening verse, Christian perfection or maturity is expressed primarily in your communication. If you want to go in the right direction in life, your tongue is the compass. If you offend in words, you’re sunk; but if your communication is wholesome, your life will be great. Your speech controls you. Proverbs 15:4 says, “A wholesome tongue is a tree of life. ” I love the way Peter puts it in

1 Peter 3:10; it says, “For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and hisN lips that they speak no guile.” In other words, maintain the right confession.

Your mouth is where your blessing is. Romans 10:10 says, “…with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” It’s a principle. God said to Joshua, “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night…” (Joshua 1:8). That means keep affirming the Word.

No matter what’s happening around you, keep the Word on your lips. The Bible says, “When men are cast down, then thou shalt say, There is lifting up…” (Job 22:29). Again, the emphasis is on what you say. When things are rough and tough, you’re not to wait to be lifted; you have a lifting power; it’s in your mouth.

What is it that you want? It’s all in your mouth. That’s the compass with which you steer your life aright, in the direction of God’s perfect will. Blessed be God!

CONFESSION

I have a wholesome tongue; my words are sculpted in line with God’s perfect will and direction for my life. I walk in divine health, prosperity, victory, success and financial abundance, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Fasting Helps To Maintain Spiritual Focus

“이에 금식하며 기도하고 두 사람에게 안수하여 보내니라”(행 13:3)

그리스도인에게 금식은 여러 가지 영적인 축복과 유익이 있습니다. 금식의 중요한 역할 중 하나는 당신이 영적인 집중을 유지하도록 돕는 것입니다. 금식은 음식을 멀리하는 것이지만, 이는 단순히 음식만 금하는 것이 아니라 한동안 모든 형태의 방해를 금하는 것입니다. 금식은 당신의 영이 하나님의 영에 더욱 민감해지도록 도와줍니다. 당신은 영 안에서 그분의 인도를 더욱 의식하게 됩니다.

당신의 마음과 생각을 세상의 일에서 주님께로 돌이킬 때, 그분의 인도를 받기 쉬워집니다.

만약 당신이 영적으로 깨어 있고 영 안에서 행하고 싶다면 때때로 금식이 필요합니다. 다른 말로, 특정 기간 동안 주님께 집중하는 것입니다. 이렇게 함으로써 당신의 영이 우세해집니다. 중요한 영의 일들을 다루고 싶거나 말씀을 공부하면서 통찰력이나 영의 민감함을 얻고 싶다면 금식하십시오.

FASTING HELPS TO MAINTAIN SPIRITUAL FOCUS

“And when they had fasted and prayed, and laid their hands on them, they sent them away” (Acts 13:3).

There’re several spiritual blessings and benefits of fasting and one of them is that it helps you maintain spiritual focus. It involves putting away food, but it’s not just about abstinence from food but all forms of distraction for the time being. This helps your spirit to become more sensitive to the Spirit of God. You become more conscious of His leading within your spirit.

At such times when your heart and mind are turned away from the things of this world unto the Lord, it becomes easy for you to receive His guidance.

If you’re going to be spiritually alert and walk spiritually, you should fast from time to time. That means to centre your attention on the Lord for the time. By doing this, your spirit gains the ascendency. When you want to deal with certain important things of the Spirit or you’re studying the Word and you want to have the insight and sensitivity of the spirit, fast.

Through fasting and prayer, your effectiveness in the things of the Spirit is improved. Your ability to hear and receive from God is sharpened, and you’re more attuned to the finer signals and instructions of the Spirit that you need for a higher level of life; a life of continuous glory and success. Hallelujah!

PRAYER

Dear Father, my spirit is attuned to your leading, guidance, promptings, direction and voice within me. I’m receptive and responsive to you as you guide me to walk in, and fulfil, your perfect will today, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Compassion Is A Force

“예수께서 불쌍히 여기사 손을 내밀어 그에게 대시며 이르시되 내가 원하노니 깨끗함을 받으라 하시니”(막 1:41)

동정심에 대한 어제 말씀을 기억해 보십시오. 동정심은 다른 사람의 고통을 줄이고자 하는 강한 갈망입니다. 동정심은 행동하게 합니다. 따라서 동정심은 힘입니다.

예수님과 그분이 사역하신 방식을 공부해보면, 그분이 종종 동정심으로 인해 움직이게 되셨다는 것을 알게 될 것입니다. 예수님이 동점심을 가지셨거나 누군가를 불쌍히 여기셨을 때마다 그분은 상황을 바꾸기 위한 어떤 행동을 하셨습니다.

동정심은 사람들을 가르치고, 먹이고, 고치도록 예수님을 움직였습니다. 마가복음 6:34은 말합니다. “예수께서 나오사 큰 무리를 보시고 그 목자 없는 양 같음으로 인하여 불쌍히 여기사 이에 여러 가지로 가르치시더라.” 또한 마태복음 14:14은 말합니다. “예수께서 나오사 큰 무리를 보시고 불쌍히 여기사 그 중에 있는 병자를 고쳐 주시니라.”

동정심이 예수님으로 하여금 나인이라는 도시에서 과부의 외아들을 다시 살리도록 했습니다. 예수님은 과부를 보시고는 그녀를 불쌍히 여기셨습니다. “주께서 과부를 보시고 불쌍히 여기사 울지 말라 하시고.”(눅 7:13) 그리고 나서 관에 손을 대고 죽은 사람에게 일어나라고 명령하셨고, 그 아들은 다시 살아났습니다.

마태복음 20:34은 두 소경의 이야기를 들려줍니다. 그들은 예수님을 따라오며 “다윗의 자손이시여, 우리에게 자비를 베풀어 주십시오!”라고 울부짖었습니다. 예수님은 멈춰 서서 그들이 원하는 것이 무엇인지 물으셨고, 그들은 보게 되기를 원한다고 대답했습니다. 성경은 말합니다. “예수께서 불쌍히 여기사 그들의 눈을 만지시니 곧 보게 되어 그들이 예수를 따르니라.”(마 20:34)

그러므로 우리도 주님과 같이 동정심으로 가득해야 합니다. 우리가 동정심에 의해 움직일 때 변화가 따라옵니다. 우리는 오늘날 그분을 나타내는 형상입니다. 하나님은 당신이 동정심으로 감동되어 도움이 필요한 사람들을 위해 무언가 행하도록 의지하고 계십니다. 이 땅에 있는 사람들의 삶과 상황을 바꾸십시오. 당신은 행동하도록 성령으로 말미암아 능력을 받았습니다. 당신은 상처받은 세상에 위로를 주며 하나님의 사랑과 친절을 전합니다.

기도

사랑하는 아버지, 나는 동정심으로 감동되어 도움이 필요한 사람들에게 치유, 힘, 위로, 소망을 가져오신 예수님의 본이 되신 삶에 감화되었습니다. 나는 행동하도록 성령으로 말미암아 능력을 받았습니다. 나는 이 상처받은 세상에 위로를 주며 당신의 사랑과 친절을 전합니다. 예수님의 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

COMPASSION IS A FORCE

“And Jesus, moved with compassion, put forth his hand, and touched him, and saith unto him, I will; be thou clean” (Mark 1:41).

Recall what we said in our previous study about compassion: a strong desire to ease the pain of others. Compassion compels one to action. Compassion is a force.

When you study Jesus and the way He ministered, you’d observe that He was often moved by compassion. Every time He had compassion on, or was moved with compassion for someone, He did something to change the situation.

Compassion moved Him to teach the people, feed them, and heal them. Mark 6:34 says, “And Jesus, when he came out, saw much people, and was moved with compassion toward them, because they were as sheep not having a shepherd: and he began to teach them many things.” Matthew 14:14 says, “And Jesus went forth, and saw a great multitude, and was moved with compassion toward them, and he healed their sick.”

Compassion moved Him to raise the only son of a widow back to life in a city called Nain. When Jesus saw the widow, the Bible says, “…he had compassion on her, and said unto her, Weep not” (Luke 7:13). He then touched the casket and commanded the dead man to get up, and he came back to life.

Matthew 20:34 tells us of two blind men who cried after Jesus, saying: “Son of David, have mercy upon us!” Jesus stopped to ask them what they wanted and they replied that they wanted to receive their sight. The Bible says, “So Jesus had compassion on them, and touched their eyes: and immediately their eyes received sight, and they followed him” (Matthew 20:34).

So, like the Master, we’re to be full of compassion. Change comes when we’re moved with compassion. We’re His express image today. He’s counting on you to be moved with compassion and do something for those in need; change the lives and circumstances of those in your world. You’ve been empowered by the Spirit to take action, offer comfort and be a vessel of God’s love and kindness to a hurting world.

PRAYER

Dear Father, I’m stirred by the examples of Jesus who being moved with compassion brought healing, strength, comfort and hope to those in need. I’m empowered by your Spirit to take action, to offer comfort, and to be a vessel of your love and kindness to a hurting world, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

동정심 – 고통을 없애려는 강한 갈망

Compassion – A Strong Desire To Remove Pain

“그러하오나, 오 주여, 주는 동정심이 많으시며(full of compassion) 은혜로우시며 오래 참으시며 긍휼과 진리가 풍성하신 하나님이시오니”(시 86:15, 한글흠정역)

성경은 하나님이 동정을 베푸신다고 말하지 않고, 그분은 동정심으로 가득하시다고 말합니다. 동정심은 무엇입니까?

동정심은 다른 사람의 고통을 인식하거나 그 고통을 완화하려는 갈망을 가지는 것을 의미합니다. 이것이 바로 공감과는 다른 점입니다. 누군가를 공감한다는 것은 누군가의 아픔이나 고통에 동기화 된다는 뜻입니다. 하지만 공감자가 그 사람의 고통에 대해 무엇을 할 수 있거나 할 계획을 가지는 것은 아닙니다.

동정심은 자비와도 다른 뜻입니다. 자비는 특히 범죄자나 처벌할 대상에게 사람에게 관용을 나타낸다는 뜻입니다. 하지만 동정심은 그 고통을 없애고자 하는 강한 열망을 가진 것입니다. 고통을 없애 주려는 갈망이 없다면 그것은 동정심이 아닙니다.

따라서 성경에서 하나님은 동정심이 가득하다고 말할 때, 이는 하나님이 당신을 바라보시고, 당신이 겪고 있는 상황을 아시고, 그 상황을 바꾸려는 갈망이 있으시다는 뜻입니다. 할렐루야! 성경은 우리의 연약함을 동정하시는 대제사장이 있다고 말합니다(히 4:15).

시편 145:8은 “여호와는 은혜로우시며 긍휼이 많으시며 노하기를 더디 하시며 인자하심이 크시도다”라고 말합니다. 하나님은 긍휼이 많으십니다. 그분은 결코 당신에게 화나 있지 않으십니다. 오히려 그분은 항상 당신을 축복하고, 상황을 바꾸는 일을 도우려는 마음으로 가득하십니다.

기도

동정심으로 가득하시고 자비와 진리가 풍성한 은혜로우신 아버지 감사합니다. 끝이 없는 당신의 동정심과 흔들리지 않는 사랑과 보살핌에 감사드립니다. 이 동일한 동정심이 내 안에서 불타오르며 나도 다른 사람들의 고통을 인식합니다. 나는 말씀과 성령을 통해 그들의 고통을 줄여주고, 그들의 삶에 긍정적인 변화를 일으키려는 불타는 갈망으로 가득합니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

COMPASSION—A STRONG DESIRE TO REMOVE PAIN

“But thou, O Lord, art a God full of compassion, and gracious, longsuffering, and plenteous in mercy and truth” (Psalm 86:15).

Notice that the Bible didn’t say God has compassion, which would also have been wonderful, but it says God is full of compassion. What’s compassion?

Compassion means to recognize or to become aware of the sufferings of another with a desire to alleviate that suffering. That’s what makes it different from sympathy. To sympathize with someone means to identify with someone in his suffering or pain. That doesn’t mean the sympathizer is going to or able to do anything about the person’s suffering.

Compassion is also different from mercy, which is forbearance shown especially to an offender or to someone you have the right or power to punish. But compassion has a strong desire to remove the pain. If there’s no desire to take away the suffering, then it’s not compassion.

So, when the Bible says God is full of compassion, it means He looks at you and recognizes what you may be going through with a desire to change the situation. Hallelujah! The Bible says we have a high priest who is touched with the feeling of our infirmities (Hebrews 4:15).

Psalm 145:8 says, “The LORD is gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy.” God is loaded with compassion; He’s never mad at you. Rather, He’s always moved with a desire to bless you, help you, and change your situation.

PRAYER

Gracious Father, you’re full of compassion and abounding in mercy and truth. Thank you, for your compassion knows no bounds, and I’m grateful for your unwavering love and care. That same compassion is ignited within me to recognize the sufferings of others; I’m moved with a burning desire to alleviate their pain and make a positive difference in their lives through the Word and by your Spirit, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

The Express Image Of His Person

“이로써 사랑이 우리에게 온전히 이루어진 것은 우리로 심판 날에 담대함을 가지게 하려 함이니 주께서 그러하심과 같이 우리도 이 세상에서 그러하니라”(요일 4:17)

오늘의 본문 구절을 읽은 후 생각해봐야 할 중요한 질문은 “아버지께서 예수님을 보내셨을 때, 예수님은 어떤 모습이셨는가?”입니다. 히브리서 1:3은 우리에게 “이는 하나님의 영광의 광채시요 그 본체의 형상이시라 그의 능력의 말씀으로 만물을 붙드시며 죄를 정결하게 하는 일을 하시고 높은 곳에 계신 지극히 크신 이의 우편에 앉으셨느니라.”고 설명합니다.

이 구절에서 주목해야 할 두 가지 문구는 “하나님의 영광의 광채”와 “그 본체의 형상”입니다. 예수님은 하나님의 영광의 광채, 즉 빛 혹은 찬란함이셨습니다. 예수님은 나타나실 때마다 그곳에 나타난 하나님의 영광이셨습니다. 또한 예수님은 아버지의 인격을 나타내는 형상이셨습니다.

하나님이 어떤 분이신지 알고 싶다면 예수님을 보면 됩니다. 예수님은 아버지에 대한 절대적인 묘사이며, 그분의 삶은 끝없는 영광이었습니다. 이제 예수님은 “아버지께서 나를 보내신 것 같이 나도 너희를 보내노라.”(요 20:21)고 말씀하십니다. 그리고 요한일서 4:17은 그분(예수님)이 그러하신 것과 같이 우리도 이 세상에서 그러하다고 말합니다.

이는 곧 예수님이 하나님의 영광의 광채이신 것처럼, 당신도 예수님의 영광의 광채라는 뜻입니다. 당신은 예수님과 마찬가지로 아버지 인격의 정확한 형상입니다. 이것은 종교적인 생각으로 이해하기에는 너무 고차원적이지만, 하나님께서 우리를 어떤 존재로 만드시고 그리스도 안에서 우리가 누구인지에 대한 진리입니다. 하나님께서는 우리를 온 세상으로 보내셔서 그분의 사랑, 친절, 본성, 성품을 나타내도록 하셨습니다.

예수님이 요한복음 15:5에서 하신 말씀을 기억하십시오. “나는 포도나무요 너희는 가지라…” 이는 우리가 동일한 생명을 가지고 있다는 뜻입니다. 또한 예수님은 우리에게 그분의 이름을 주셨으므로 우리는 똑같은 이름을 가지고 있습니다. 그분께 속한 것은 우리에게 속합니다. 우리는 “하나님의 상속자요 그리스도와 함께 한 상속자”(롬 8:17)입니다.

지금 절대적인 확신을 가지고 다음과 같이 선포하십시오. “나는 아버지 본체의 형상이다. 나는 하나님의 영광을 나타내고 드러낸다.” 할렐루야!

고백

나는 하나님의 상속자이며 그리스도와 함께한 공동 상속자입니다. 나는 주 예수님과 같은 생명을 소유하며 그분의 이름을 지닙니다. 따라서 나는 하나님의 사랑, 친절, 본성, 성품을 내 주변에 나타냅니다. 나는 그분의 질그릇으로서 나를 통해 그분의 영광이 빛나고 더욱 강렬하게 나타납니다. 나는 이 진리를 많은 사람에게 전달하며, 그들은 그리스도 예수 안에 있는 구원을 받아들입니다. 아멘.

THE EXPRESS IMAGE OF HIS PERSON

“Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world” (1 John 4:17).

An important question to ask after reading our opening verse is: What was Jesus like when the Father sent Him? The Bible gives us a description in Hebrews 1:3: “Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high.”

Two phrases to notice in this verse are: “the brightness of his glory” and “the express image of his person.” Jesus was the brightness—the effulgence or the outshining—of God’s glory. Each time He stepped out, He was the glory of God manifested. He was also the express image of the Father’s person.

If you wanted to know what God was like, you looked at Jesus. He was the absolute description of the Father, and His life was endlessly glorious. Now, Jesus says, “… as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you” (John 20:21). Then 1 John 4:17 tells us that as He (Jesus) is, so are we in this world.

This means that just as Jesus is the brightness of God’s glory, you’re the brightness of Jesus’ glory. You’re the express image of the Father’s person as Jesus. This is too lofty for the religious mind to grasp, but it’s one of the truths of who we are in Christ and what He’s made us. He sent us to go into all the world and express His love, kindness, nature and character.

Remember what He said in John 15:5, “I am the vine, ye are the branches….” That means we have the same life. He’s also given us His Name, so we have the same name. What belongs to Him belongs to us; we’re “…heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ…” (Romans 8:17).

Even now, declare with absolute confidence, “I’m the express image of the Father’s person. I reveal and unveil His glory.” Hallelujah!

CONFESSION

I’m an heir of God and a joint-heir with Christ. I possess the same life and bear the same name as the Lord Jesus. Who You Are Now

오늘의 본문 구절에 등장하는 “자녀”라는 단어는 그리스어 “테크논(teknon)”에서 유래했습니다. 이 단어는 부모로부터 태어난 자녀를 뜻합니다. 우리는 하나님으로부터 태어났으므로 하나님의 자녀입니다. 세상은 이를 인식하지 못할 수도 있지만 그럼에도 불구하고 사실입니다. 오늘의 본문 구절이 “… 그러므로 세상이 우리를 알지 못함은 그를 알지 못함이라.”고 말하는 것은 당연합니다.

예수님이 이 땅에 오셨을 때, 세상은 그분을 알아보지 못했습니다. 사람들은 예수님이 평범한 사람이라고 생각했습니다. 성경은 예수님께서 하나님으로부터 태어났다고 말합니다(행 13:33). 야고보서 1:18에서 볼 수 있듯이 우리도 마찬가지입니다. 성경은 말합니다. “그가 그 피조물 중에 우리로 한 첫 열매가 되게 하시려고 자기의 뜻을 따라 진리의 말씀으로 우리를 낳으셨느니라.”(약 1:18)

우리의 겉모습이 그렇지 않더라도 지금 우리는 하나님의 자녀입니다. 저는 사도 요한이 요한일서 3:2에서 말한 내용의 뒷부분을 좋아합니다. “사랑하는 자들아 우리가 지금은 하나님의 자녀라 장래에 어떻게 될지는 아직 나타나지 아니하였으나 그가 나타나시면 우리가 그와 같을 줄을 아는 것은 그의 참모습 그대로 볼 것이기 때문이니.”

교회가 휴거 되는 순간 주님이 나타나실 때 우리는 겉모습도 그분과 같은 모습일 것입니다. 그러나 이미 우리는 하나님의 자녀이고, 우리 안에 그분의 생명이 있습니다. 이 땅에서의 출신으로 당신을 보거나 설명하지 마십시오. 당신은 영 안에서 예수님과 같기 때문입니다. 할렐루야!

WHO YOU ARE NOW

“Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not” (1 John 3:1).

The word “sons” in our opening verse is from the Greek “teknon,” which primarily refers to one born of parents. We’re the sons of God because we’re born of God. The world may not recognize this, but it’s true nonetheless. That’s why it says, “…therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not” (1 John 3:1).

The world didn’t recognize Jesus when He came; the people thought He was an ordinary man. The Bible says Jesus was begotten of God (Acts 13:33); the same is true of us as seen in James 1:18. It says, “Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.”

We’re sons of God now even though our outward appearance doesn’t show this. But I love how the apostle John sums it up in the concluding part of 1 John 3:2. He said, “Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.”

When the Lord appears at the Rapture of the Church, we shall be like Him outwardly. But already, we’re sons of God and we have His life in us. Refuse to see or describe yourself according to your earthly nativity, because in your spirit, you’re like Jesus. Hallelujah!

God has given us the divine nature in Christ Jesus, so now, as He is, so are we in this world (1 John 4:17). Once you understand this, you’ll realize you’re not living the human life. You’re not ordinary; you don’t belong in this world. You’re in God’s class, born of His Word and Spirit with this transcendent life. Glory to God!

PRAYER

Dear Father, thank you for the great love you’ve bestowed upon me in Christ Jesus. You’ve made me a partaker of the divine nature. I’m uninfectable, impregnable and full of life; I live victoriously to your glory and praise, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Expect Good Things Every Day

자신의 삶에서 좋은 결과를 기대하지 않는 사람들이 있습니다. 그들은 고군분투하고, 고통받고, 실패와 중단을 겪는 일에 너무나도 익숙해져서 더 이상 기대하지 않습니다. 그들은 자신의 삶이 더 나아질 수 있다고 절대 기대하지 않습니다. 그들은 호의를 기대하는 법을 배우지 못했습니다. 그들은 그리스도 예수 안에 있는 모든 사람에게 주어지는 하나님의 은혜와 영광을 활용하는 법을 배우지 못했습니다.

EXPECT GOOD THINGS EVERY DAY

“And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man” (Luke 2:52).

Where’re people who don’t expect good outcomes in their lives. They’re so used to struggling, suffering and seeing failure and stagnation that they never expect more. They never expect that their lives could be better. They haven’t learnt to expect favours; they haven’t learnt to take advantage of the grace and glory of God available to all who are in Christ Jesus.

Our opening scripture tells us how Jesus increased in wisdom, increased in stature and also in favour with God and with man. Some people have increased only in stature without increasing in wisdom and favour. Don’t just be satisfied to grow in stature; grow in wisdom and favour. Always affirm, “I’m increasing in favour!”

Yes! Become expectant that God is favouring you. Expect that favour is being channelled towards you from God and men. Expect to always walk into divine opportunities. It’s good to work hard, but remember what the Bible says, “Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think anything as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God” (2 Corinthians 3:5).

Moreover, the Bible says not of works lest any man should boast (Ephesians 2:9); it’s not about your hard work but by the grace of God. So, always be in a state of expectancy with God; expect good things because you’re a child of God and a child of grace. His grace is superabundant upon your life.

Expect blessings every day. The Bible says He daily loads us with benefits (Psalm 68:19); He does it every day. Psalm 33:5 says, “…the earth is full of the goodness of the LORD.” Who’s the goodness for? It’s for you! So expect good things every day. Make continual proclamations of the favour of God working in your life.

CONFESSION

My faith is alive and working, ever ready to receive, and always expecting good outcomes. I walk into divine favour and opportunities today. I’m conscious that God loves to always prosper me and delights in doing good things for me. I’m conscious that I’m walking in the blessings of Abraham. Amen.

Choose To Win

“내가 오늘 하늘과 땅을 불러 너희에게 증거를 삼노라 내가 생명과 사망과 복과 저주를 네 앞에 두었은즉 너와 네 자손이 살기 위하여 생명을 택하고”(신 30:19)

당신이 인생에서 해야 할 중요한 선택은 언제나 승리하기로 선택하는 것입니다. 승리를 선택하십시오. 당신이 승리하기로 선택하면 세상 그 무엇도 당신을 막을 수 없습니다. 하지만 가장 중요한 첫 번째 단계는 당신이 그 결단을 하는 것입니다. 모든 사람이 승리하기로 선택하는 것은 아니기 때문입니다.

주님은 오늘의 본문 구절에서 “네가 괜찮다고 생각하는 것을 선택하라”고 말씀하지 않으셨습니다. 아닙니다! 하나님은 우리에게 무엇이 더 나은지 보여주시고 그것을 선택하라고 말씀하십니다. 삶의 어느 단계에 있든 당신은 승리를 선택할 수 있습니다.

현재 학생이십니까? 일을 하거나 사업을 하고 있습니까? 최고가 되기로 선택하고, 가능한 가장 높은 수준의 성공을 성취하십시오. 하나님은 위로 앞으로 나아가는 성공의 여정에서 당신을 다음 단계로 인도하실 것입니다.

CHOOSE TO WIN

“I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live” (Deuteronomy 30:19).

Tne important choice you have to make in life is to always win. Choose to win. When you choose to win, nothing in the world will be able to stop you. But the first thing is for you to make that decision, because not everyone chooses to win.

Some people go through life just hoping things will turn out right; they don’t consciously think about winning. Such people say, “Well, if I’m lucky, I’ll make it.” No! Don’t wait for luck. God’s children don’t hope for luck or walk by luck; we walk in the grace and blessings of God.

Some others say, “I won’t choose anything, win or lose.” If you don’t choose to win, you have chosen to fail. How can you help others if you don’t choose to win? The world has more poor people than rich people, and more suffering people than those who are sound and prosperous. If you’re not prosperous, you can’t help others to become prosperous.

It’s only people who are up that can help those who are down to come up. So, where do you want to be in life? What side of the street do you want to live? I found out from the Scriptures that God gave us the right to choose, and also points out the right and the best option for us to choose.

Notice that in our opening verse, He didn’t say, “Choose whichever one you think is okay”; no! He shows us what’s better and tells us to choose it. You can choose to win at whatever stage you are in life.

Are you a student? Do you work or do you own a business? Make the choice to be the best and achieve the highest height of success possible. God will take you from one step to another in an upward and forward journey of success.

PRAYER

Dear Father, I choose to walk in your ways and align my thoughts, words and actions with your will. I’m not governed by luck or chance; rather, I walk in the path of victory, promotion, strength, health and excellence, as I navigate my way through life with your Word, to the praise and glory of your Name. Amen.

성경은 주님께서 큰 홍수로 땅을 멸하실 것이기 때문에 노아에게 방주를 지으라고 명하신 일에 대해 알려줍니다. 땅의 모든 사람과 짐승이 다 물에 빠지고 모든 성읍이 물에 잠기게 되었습니다. 경건하지 않은 자들을 멸하려고 임한 심판의 홍수에도 노아의 방주는 꿋꿋하게 버텼습니다. 의로운 자들은 견딜 수 있었습니다.

이 마지막 때에 인플레이션, 재난, 폭력의 홍수가 세상을 덮쳐도 조마조마하거나 두려워하지 마십시오. 당신은 승리하며 살기 위해 자신의 영에 하나님의 말씀을 보관해야 합니다. 당신은 말씀을 알고, 당신 안에 말씀을 가지고 있어야 합니다. 당신 안에 말씀이 있다면 주변에서 무슨 일이 일어나더라도 당신의 성공은 보장됩니다.

당신은 인플레이션 시대에 번영하도록 정해졌습니다. 이것은 그리스도인으로서 당신의 삶입니다. 당신의 확신이 은행 계좌에 돈이 얼마나 있는지에 달려있는 것이 아니라 당신 안에 그리스도의 말씀이 얼마나 있고 또 그에 따라 살고 있는지에 달려있게 하십시오. 말씀이 당신을 다스리게 한다면, 말씀은 무슨 일이 일어나든지 당신이 승리자의 사고방식을 갖고 위에서만 기능하게 할 것입니다.

PUT YOUR CONFIDENCE IN THE WORD

“By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith” (Hebrews 11:7).

The Bible tells us how the Lord told Noah to build an ark because He was about to destroy the earth with a great flood. All the people and animals on earth drowned and whole cities were submerged in the flood. Yet, the very flood of judgment that came to destroy the ungodly bore Noah’s ark up; it bore up the righteous!

As the floods of inflation, disaster and violence beat on the world in these latter days, refuse to fret or fear. What you need to live victoriously is the deposit of God’s Word in your spirit. You’ve got to know and have the Word in you. With the Word in you, your success is assured, no matter what happens around you.

Colossians 3:16 says, “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom….” That’s it! Inundate your spirit with the Word and you’ll stay afloat like the ark of Noah, and the circumstances responsible for sinking businesses, careers and finances will be for your promotion.

The floods of economic and natural disasters in the world aren’t against you. God has ordained your promotion and prosperity. He already planned that you’ll be a success irrespective of what’s going on around you. Remember Isaac: he reaped a hundredfold harvest even when there was famine (Genesis 26:12).

You’re ordained to prosper in a time of inflation. This is your life as a Christian. Let your confidence rest only in how much of the Word of Christ you have in you and live by, not in how much money you have in your bank account. As you allow the Word to dominate you, it’ll give you the mentality of a victor such that no matter what happens, you’ll stay above only.

CONFESSION

The entrance of God’s Word floods my heart with light and brings brilliance and beauty into my life. I do not fret over the hardship, inflation and evil in today’s world, for they’re not set against me! I’ve ascended above the economics of this world! I’m in my place of inheritance in Christ Jesus, where I prosper continually. Hallelujah!

누군가 당신에게 “모든 게 너무 비싸요. 물가가 올랐어요.”라고 말한다면, 웃으며 그에게 “나는 물가보다 더 올랐어요. 나는 인플레이션보다 더 오르고 있어요.”라고 말하십시오. 당신이 한 그 말이 당신의 사고방식이어야 합니다.

우리는 어둠 속에서 더 밝게 빛납니다. 밝을 때는 모든 사람의 빛이 눈에 띄지 않지만, 어두울 때는 아주 희미한 반짝거림도 눈에 띕니다. 모든 빛은 어둠 가운데 빛납니다. 성경은 말합니다. “보라 어둠이 땅을 덮을 것이며 캄캄함이 만민을 가리려니와 오직 여호와께서 네 위에 임하실 것이며 그의 영광이 네 위에 나타나리니”(사 60:2) 이제 당신이 빛날 때입니다!

기도

SOAR HIGHER

“Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord, and whose hope the Lord is. For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit” (Jeremiah 17:7-8).

When someone says to you, “Things are so expensive now; prices have gone up.” Smile and say, “I’ve gone higher than the prices. I’ve ascended beyond inflation.” That should always be your mentality.

From experience, we’ve only known prices of goods and commodities to always keep going higher. The cry has always been that things are getting more expensive. So, if it’s happening again, why do you care? Don’t let it trouble you, because you’re the seed of Abraham. Your life is different.

I found out in my Bible that God’s people always soared in hard times. Isaac prospered in the midst of extremely harsh economic conditions (Genesis 26). Don’t be troubled; just raise your standard higher; soar higher than the world’s market forces. Let your mind soar beyond the country where you live. Think how big God is, and what He can do with and through you.

We shine brighter in the dark. When everything is bright, not everyone’s light will be noticed. But when it’s dark, even the dimmest flicker will be noticed; every light shines in the dark. The Bible says, “For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the Lord shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee” (Isaiah 60:2). It’s time for you to shine!

The Bible says, “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose” (Romans 8:28). When inflation skyrockets and the prices of commodities increase, don’t cry or complain. It’ll only create opportunities for you because your faith will get you the money you require. Your prosperity isn’t based on what your company pays you or the available opportunities in your country; your prosperity is a function of who you are: an heir of God and a joint-heir with Christ.

PRAYER

Dear Father, I affirm that I excel beyond inflation and financial uncertainties. Your Word empowers me to flourish regardless of external circumstances, for you are my true source. I am not a victim of the economy of my nation. I am among those creating opportunities for others. I have already overcome the world and its systems, so I am reigning in life, in the Name of Jesus. Amen.
