The Thrust Of Christianity
“하나님이 그들로 하여금 이 비밀의 영광이 이방인 가운데 얼마나 풍성한지를 알게 하려 하심이라 이 비밀은 너희 안에 계신 그리스도시니 곧 영광의 소망이니라”(골 1:27)
기독교의 본질적인 메시지와 비전은 “당신 안에 계신 그리스도”입니다! 그러나 모든 그리스도인이 이 실재를 완벽히 이해한 것은 아닙니다. 어떤 사람들은 기독교에 대한 포괄적인 이해가 부족하기 때문에 기독교가 진정 가지고 있는 것이 무엇인지 알지 못합니다.
하나님의 말씀을 배우고 성령으로 말미암아 계시를 받지 않는다면, 그 누구도 기독교의 본질을 온전히 이해할 수 없습니다. 많은 사람들이 기독교를 세상에 존재하는 수많은 종교 중 하나로 여기지만 그것은 잘못된 생각입니다.
기독교는 종교에 관한 전통적인 정의와는 거리가 멉니다. 사실 성경으로 인해 종교가 가지고 있는 여러 특징 중 하나에 기독교가 부합하는 것은 맞지만, 그렇다고 해서 기독교가 종교는 아닙니다. 예를 들어 기도와 비슷합니다. 기독교에서도 기도를 하지만 기독교가 “기도”는 아닙니다.
구원에 대해서도 생각해 봅시다. 구원은 누군가 그리스도 안에서 거듭날 때 일어납니다. 고린도후서 5:17은 말합니다. “그런즉 누구든지 그리스도 안에 있으면 새로운 피조물이라…” 우리가 아직 주님을 알지 못하는 이들에게 복음을 전하고 구원으로 인도할 때, 그들은 그리스도 안에 들어오고 영생을 얻습니다. 그러나 기독교는 여기서 더 나아가 구원으로 시작된 삶을 사는 것입니다.
따라서 구원은 당신을 그리스도 안으로 인도하며, 당신은 “그리스도 안에 있는 자”가 됩니다. 하지만 진정한 그리스도인의 삶은 “당신 안에 계신 그리스도”입니다. 이것이 기독교의 추진력입니다. 당신 안에 그리스도가 거하고 계신다는 사실을 발견할 때, 당신은 영광스러운 인생을 살며 자신의 삶을 향한 하나님의 목적을 이루며 살아갑니다. 당신 안에 계신 그리스도의 임재를 발견한 그 순간부터, 당신의 삶은 선율이 되고 기쁨의 교향곡이 됩니다. 기독교는 단지 신념이 아니라 경험할 수 있는 실재입니다.
기독교의 진정한 본질은 이것이 단순한 종교가 아닌 예수 그리스도로 인한 아버지와의 신성한 교제임을 이해하는 것에 달려 있습니다. 이것이 바로 당신이 말씀의 실재를 공부하는 일을 진지하게 받아들여야 하는 이유입니다. 이 말씀을 통해 지금 당신 안에, 심령 깊은 곳에 그리스도께서 거하신다는 이 위대한 실재를 이해하는데 필요한 계시를 얻게 될 것입니다.
기도
사랑하는 아버지, 그리스도께서 내 안에 거하신다는 이 영광스러운 실재와 위대한 진리를 계시해 주셔서 감사합니다. 나는 영원히 이 실재를 인식하며 나의 세상에도 이 똑같은 진리를 전합니다. 나는 많은 사람들을 기쁨과 끝없는 승리의 삶으로 인도합니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

THE THRUST OF CHRISTIANITY
“To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory” (Colossians 1:27).
The ultimate message and vision of Christianity is “Christ in you!” Yet, not all Christians have fully grasped this reality; some are unaware of what Christianity truly entails because they lack a comprehensive understanding of it.
Without being taught the Word of God and enlightened by the Scriptures through the Spirit, one cannot fully comprehend the essence of Christianity. Many perceive it merely as one of the world’s religions, but they’re sorely mistaken.
Christianity stands far apart from the conventional definitions of religion. In truth, the Bible elucidates that Christianity incorporates certain aspects of religion, but itself isn’t a religion. It’s like prayer for example; there’s prayer in Christianity, but Christianity is not “a prayer.”
Let’s also consider salvation: Salvation occurs when one is born into Christ. The Bible says in 2 Corinthians 5:17, “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature….” When we witness and share the Gospel with those who have not yet known the Lord and lead them to salvation, they come into Christ, receiving eternal life. But Christianity goes further to living the life initiated by salvation.
Thus, salvation brings you into Christ, which is “you in Christ,” but the Christian life is “Christ in you.” This is the thrust of Christianity. When you truly discover Christ dwelling within you, you live a glorious life, fulfilling God’s purpose for your life. The moment you uncover the presence of Christ within you, your life becomes a melody, a symphony of joy. This is not a mere ideology but a tangible reality.
The true essence of Christianity lies in understanding that it is not merely a religion but a divine relationship with the Father by Christ Jesus. This is one of the reasons you must take your study of “Rhapsody of Realities” seriously; in it, you can receive the enlightenment needed to grasp this profound reality that Christ now dwells within you, in the very quarters of your heart.
PRAYER
Dear Father, I thank you for the revelation of this glorious reality and profound truth that Christ dwells in me. I’m ever conscious of this reality, permeating and penetrating my world with the same truth; ushering many into the same life of joy and unending victory, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
