말씀을 바라보십시오
Look To The Word
“믿음의 주요 또 온전하게 하시는 이인 예수를 바라보자 그는 그 앞에 있는 기쁨을 위하여 십자가를 참으사 부끄러움을 개의치 아니하시더니 하나님 보좌 우편에 앉으셨느니라”(히 12:2)
주 예수님께서는 요한복음 3:14에서 상징적인 말씀을 하셨습니다. “모세가 광야에서 뱀을 든 것 같이 인자도 들려야 하리니” 이것은 광야에서 유대인들이 불뱀들에 물려 타는 듯한 고통과 죽음을 겪었던 일과 관련이 있습니다.
하나님은 모세에게 놋뱀을 만들어 장대 위에 매달도록 지시하셨습니다. 그리고 누구든지 그것을 보면 살 것이라고 하셨습니다. 하나님께서는 놋뱀을 보고 기도해야 한다고 말씀하지 않으셨습니다. 어떤 의식이나 행위도 필요 없었습니다. 그들은 놋뱀을 바라보기만 하면 사는 것입니다. 그리고 그들이 놋뱀을 보았고, 그들은 치유되었습니다. 할렐루야!
이것은 십자가에서 예수님이 당신의 슬픔, 고통, 낙담, 질병, 실패를 대신 가져가셔서 당신이 절대 그것들을 가져서는 안 된다는 것을 상징했습니다. 우리는 이제 십자가를 넘어 그분의 생명을 가지고 있습니다. 그분이 사시기 때문에 우리도 삽니다.
예수님의 부활로 말미암아 우리는 새로운 생명 안으로 인도되었습니다. “그러므로 우리가 그의 죽으심과 합하여 침례를 받음으로 그와 함께 장사되었나니 이는 아버지의 영광으로 말미암아 그리스도를 죽은 자 가운데서 살리심과 같이 우리로 또한 새 생명 가운데서 행하게 하려 함이라”(롬 6:4) 지금 우리가 가진 생명은 신성한 생명입니다.
따라서 오늘 당신이 바라봐야 할 것은 십자가가 아닌 하나님의 말씀입니다. 하나님의 말씀 안에서 당신은 그분께서 당신을 위해 하신 일, 그분이 만드신 당신의 정체성, 그분 안에서의 당신의 유업을 보게 됩니다. 오늘의 본문 구절은 믿음의 창시자이자 완성자이신 예수님을 바라보라고 말합니다. 예수님은 어떤 분이십니까? 그분은 말씀이십니다!
당신이 얼마나 끔찍한 상황과 환경을 직면하고 있는지는 중요치 않습니다. 불평하거나 울지 마십시오! 말씀을 바라보십시오! 말씀을 보며 당신의 영광스럽고 영화로운 삶을 바라보십시오! 말씀을 보며 당신의 성공, 승리, 번영을 보십시오. 말씀을 보며 당신이 실패할 수 없는 사람임을 보십시오. 당신은 성령과 능력으로 충만합니다. 할렐루야!
고백
말씀을 먹을수록 내 삶에 성공, 호의, 은혜가 배가됩니다. 내 삶은 끝없는 축복과 기적의 물결입니다. 내가 말씀 안에서, 말씀으로 살고 있기 때문입니다. 아멘.

Look To The Word
“Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith…”(Hebrews 12:2).
In John 3:14, the Lord, Jesus said something symbolic. He said, “And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up.” This had to do with the Jews in the wilderness, when they were bitten by fiery serpents that caused them burning pain and death.
God then instructed Moses to make a serpent of brass, raise it on a pole, and everyone who would look at it would live. He didn’t say they should look at the serpent and pray; there were no ceremonies; no rituals; all they had to do was to look at the brazen serpent and live. And when they looked, they were healed. Hallelujah!
This was symbolic of Jesus at the Cross, taking your place of sorrow, pain, disappointment, sickness, and failure, that you should never have them. But beyond the Cross, we now have His life. We live because He lives.
By reason of His resurrection, we’ve been brought into a newness of life: “Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life” (Romans 6:4). The life we have now is divine.
Therefore, what you have to look at today isn’t the Cross, but His Word! In His Word, you see what He’s done for you, who He’s made you, and your heritage in Him. Our opening verse says looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith; who is Jesus? He is the Word!
It makes no difference the dire situations and circumstances that you face; don’t gripe or whimper! Look to the Word! Look to the Word and see your glorious and glorified life! Look to the Word and see your success, victory, and prosperity. Look to the Word and see that you’re indomitable; full of the Holy Ghost and power. Hallelujah!
CONFESSION
As I feed on the Word, success, favour, and grace are multiplied in my life. My life is an endless stream of blessings and the miraculous because I live in, and by the Word. Amen.
