새로운 당신
THE NEW YOU
“그런즉 누구든지 그리스도 안에 있으면 새로운 피조물이라 이전 것은 지나갔으니 보라 새 것이 되었도다”(고후5:17)
거듭난 당신의 삶은 새롭고 신성하다는 것을 알고 계셨습니까? 그러므로 새로운 당신을 받아들이십시오. 에베소서 4:24은 새로운 당신은 의와 참된 거룩함으로 창조되었다고 말합니다. 당신은 그리스도 예수 안에서 하나님의 의입니다. 예수님이 그러하셨듯이 당신도 이 땅에서 그러합니다. 당신은 그분의 상징입니다.
스스로를 하나님을 기쁘시게 하기 위해 애쓰는 “죄인”으로 보지 마십시오. 이런 생각은 당신이 그리스도인의 삶을 효과적으로 살지 못하게 합니다. 당신이 그리스도 안에서 하나님의 의라는 의식을 가지십시오.
골로새서 1:22을 항상 묵상하십시오. 이 말씀은 당신을 위한 그리스도의 대속적 희생의 놀라운 결과가 무엇인지 알려줍니다. 예수님은 당신을 하나님 앞에 거룩하고, 흠 없고, 책망할 것이 없는 자로 세우기 위해 그 일을 하셨습니다. 그리고 예수님은 그 일을 성취하셨습니다. 당신 안에 있는 그분의 생명과 본성은 당신이 죄를 초월하여 살아갈 수 있는 능력을 줍니다. 새로운 당신은 말씀의 다스림에 내어지고 그 결과 의의 일들과 열매들을 맺도록 만들어집니다.
사도 바울은 일부 고린도 성도들의 삶의 방식이 그들의 새로운 의의 본성을 나타내지 않는다고 책망할 때도 그들을 죄인이라고 부르지 않았습니다(고린도전서 6:9-11을 읽어보십시오).
바울은 그리스도 안에서 우리가 모든 불의에서 깨끗케 되었음을 이해했습니다. 우리는 깨끗케 되었고, 죄로부터 하나님께로 분리되었고, 주의 이름 안에서 그리고 우리 하나님의 영으로 말미암아 의롭다고 선포되었습니다. 할렐루야!
새로운 당신을 인식하고 그에 맞게 사십시오. 말씀을 더 공부하십시오. 말씀은 진짜 당신을 보여주고 알려주기 때문입니다. 말씀은 그리스도 안에 있는 당신의 참된 영광을 보여줍니다. 하나님을 찬양합니다!
고백
나는 깨끗케 되었고, 죄로부터 하나님께로 분리되었고, 주의 이름 안에서 그리고 우리 하나님의 영으로 말미암아 의롭다고 선포되었습니다. 나는 의 안에서 행하며 의의 일들과 열매를 맺습니다. 나는 이 어두운 세상의 빛이며 죄인들의 길을 비추어 그들이 그 빛을 보고 왕국에 들어갈 수 있게 인도합니다. 할렐루야!

THE NEW YOU
“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new”(2 Corinthians 5:17).
Did you know that being born again, your life is new and divine? Therefore, embrace the new you. Ephesians 4:24 says this new you is created in righteousness and true holiness. You’re the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus; as Jesus is, so are you in this world. You’re His icon.
Don’t see yourself as a “sinner” who’s struggling to please God; it’ll make you ineffective in your Christian walk. Rather, have the consciousness that you’re the righteousness of God in Christ.
Always meditate on Colossians 1:22; it tells of the amazing result of Christ’s vicarious sacrifice in your behalf! He did all that He did so as to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in God’s sight. And He succeeded. His life and nature in you gives you the power to live above sin. The new you is fashioned to yield to the dominion of the Word and as a result, produce fruits and works of righteousness.
Even when the Apostle Paul rebuked some of the Christians in Corinth because their way of life didn’t reflect their new nature of righteousness, he didn’t call them sinners (read 1 Corinthians 6:9-11).
Paul understood that in Christ, we’ve been cleansed of all unrighteousness. We’ve been washed, separated from sin unto God and declared righteous in the Name of the Lord, and by the Spirit of our God! Hallelujah!
Recognise the new you and live accordingly. Study the Word more, for it mirrors and describes the real you; it shows your true glory in Christ. Praise God!
CONFESSION
I have been washed, separated from sin unto God and declared righteous in the Name of the Lord, and by the Spirit of our God! Therefore, I walk in righteousness and produce works and fruits of righteousness. I’m a light in a dark world, lighting the paths of sinners so that they may see and be ushered into the Kingdom. Hallelujah!
