예수님의 부활로 말미암은 구원
SAVED BY HIS RESURRECTION
“너희는 그 은혜에 의하여 믿음으로 말미암아 구원을 받았으니 이것은 너희에게서 난 것이 아니요 하나님의 선물이라”(엡2:8)
로마서 10:9은 말합니다. “…네가 만일 네 입으로 예수를 주로 시인하며 또 하나님께서 그를 죽은 자 가운데서 살리신 것을 네 마음에 믿으면 구원을 받으리라.” 이 구절은 예수 그리스도의 부활이 곧 기독교의 시작인 것을 알려줍니다.
그리스도인이 되기 위해서는 부활을 믿어야 합니다. 만약 부활을 믿지 않는다면, 그리스도의 죽음도 믿을 수 없습니다. 죽음이 부활 전에 일어나야 했던 일이기 때문입니다. 사실 로마서 10:9의 가장 좋은 번역은 이것입니다. “당신이 자신의 입으로 주 예수를 고백하고, 하나님께서 예수를 죽은 자 가운데서 살리신 것을 마음으로 믿으면, 당신은 구원을 받을 것입니다.”
당신은 이렇게 말할 수도 있습니다. “크리스목사님, 하지만 성경은 고백을 먼저하고 그 다음에 믿는다고 말합니다.” 아닙니다. 당신이 고백하기 전에 먼저 믿습니다. 이것이 원리입니다. 그 다음 구절은 이 원리를 명확하게 설명합니다. “사람이 마음으로 믿어 의에 이르고 입으로 시인하여 구원에 이르느니라”(롬10:10) 할렐루야!
당신이 마음으로 믿을 때 하나님 앞에서 의롭게 됩니다. 우리는 예수 그리스도를 믿음으로 의롭게 되었고, 예수님의 주되심을 고백함으로 구원에 이르게 되었습니다. 이것이 단순한 원리입니다.
고린도후서 4:13은 말합니다. “기록된 바 내가 믿었으므로 말하였다 한 것 같이 우리가 같은 믿음의 마음을 가졌으니 우리도 믿었으므로 또한 말하노라.” 이 말씀 역시 당신이 믿고나서 말한다는 사실을 보여줍니다. 지금까지 태어난 모든 남녀노소 그리고 아직 태어나지 않은 사람들까지 이미 모든 사람들은 예수 그리스도에 의해 법적으로 “구원” 받았습니다. 예수님은 모든 인류를 구원하기 위해 죽으셨습니다. 하지만 그 구원은 오직 예수님께서 죽으셨을 뿐 아니라 우리를 의롭게 하기 위해 죽은 자 가운데서 살아나셨다는 것을 믿는 자들에게만 실제적 경험이 됩니다. 하나님을 찬양합니다!
기도
우리는 주님의 재림을 기다리며 의가 구름에서 내리는 비처럼 계속 쏟아지기를 기도합니다. 예수님의 말씀처럼 이 땅이 열리고 구원이 열매를 맺으며 의가 함께 싹트기를 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

Saved By His Resurrection
“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God”(Ephesians 2:8).
In Romans 10:9, the Bible says, “…if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” It lets us know that the resurrection of Jesus Christ is where Christianity came from.
To be a Christian, you’ve got to believe in the resurrection. If you don’t believe in the resurrection, you can’t believe in the death, because the death had to occur before the resurrection. Actually, the best rendering of Romans 10:9 is, “If you’ll confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, believing in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you’ll be saved.”
You may say, “Pastor Chris, but it says you confess first, and then you believe next.” No; you believe first before you confess. That’s the principle. The next verse explicitly clarifies it: “For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation” (Romans 10:10). Hallelujah!
When you believe with your heart, you’re made right with God. We believed in Jesus Christ, and we were given right standing, and with the confession of His lordship, we were catapulted into salvation. That’s the simple principle.
2 Corinthians 4:13 says, “We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak.” It shows that you believe, and then you speak. Every man, woman, boy, and girl ever born, and that’ll ever be born into this world has already been legally “saved” by Jesus Christ. When He died, He died to save all humanity. But that salvation becomes a vital experience—active in the life of the one who believes, not only that Jesus died, but that He was raised from the dead for our justification. Praise God!
PRAYER
As we await the soon return of the Lord, may the clouds pour down righteousness continually; may the earth open up and salvation bear fruit, and righteousness sprout with it, according to the Word of the Lord, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
