우리를 향한 하나님의 사랑
HIS LOVE TOWARDS US
“그런즉 누구든지 그리스도 안에 있으면 새로운 피조물이라 이전 것은 지나갔으니 보라 새 것이 되었도다”(고후5:17)
많은 사람들의 생각과 달리 거듭나는 데 많은 시간이 걸리지 않습니다. 필요한 것은 그리스도께로 오는 것뿐입니다. 로마서 10:9은 말합니다. “네가 만일 네 입으로 예수를 주로 시인하며 또 하나님께서 그를 죽은 자 가운데서 살리신 것을 네 마음에 믿으면 구원을 받으리라”(롬10:9) 그것이 죄인이 해야 할 일의 전부입니다.
죄인이 그리스도 안으로 들어오면 그 순간 이전 것은 지나가게 됩니다. 성경은 그가 이전 것들을 바꾸기 위해 노력해야 된다고 말하지 않습니다. 하나님께서는 죄인들이 그분께 오기 전에 그들의 이전 것을 바꿀 때까지 기다리지 않으십니다. 죄인들이 스스로를 위해 바꿀 수 있었다면 그들은 예수님을 필요로 하지 않았을 것입니다.
로마서 5:10은 말합니다. “곧 우리가 원수 되었을 때에 그의 아들의 죽으심으로 말미암아 하나님과 화목하게 되었은즉 화목하게 된 자로서는 더욱 그의 살아나심으로 말미암아 구원을 받을 것이니라” 주님께서는 얼마나 은혜로우신지요! 우리가 아직 죄인이었을 때, 심지어 그분을 알지 못하던 때에 우리는 하나님과 한 번에 화목케 되었습니다. 에베소서 2:4-5은 말합니다. “긍휼이 풍성하신 하나님이 우리를 사랑하신 그 큰 사랑을 인하여 허물로 죽은 우리를 그리스도와 함께 살리셨고 (너희는 은혜로 구원을 받은 것이라)”
그분은 우리가 죄로 죽었을 때에도 우리를 사랑하셨습니다. “우리가 아직 죄인 되었을 때에 그리스도께서 우리를 위하여 죽으심으로 하나님께서 우리에 대한 자기의 사랑을 확증하셨느니라”(롬5:8) 로마서 4:4-5은 이 일이 어떻게 일어났는지 보여줍니다. “일하는 자에게는 그 삯이 은혜로 여겨지지 아니하고 보수로 여겨지거니와 일을 아니할지라도 경건하지 아니한 자를 의롭다 하시는 이를 믿는 자에게는 그의 믿음을 의로 여기시나니”
우리 하나님은 경건하지 않은 자를 의롭다 하신다고 고린도후서 5:19은 말씀합니다. “곧 하나님께서 그리스도 안에 계시사 세상을 자기와 화목하게 하시며 그들의 죄를 그들에게 돌리지 아니하시고 화목하게 하는 말씀을 우리에게 부탁하셨느니라” 이것이 복음입니다. 복음은 그리스도 예수와 온 인류에 대한 그분의 크신 사랑에 관한 것입니다! 복음은 예수 그리스도의 주 되심을 고백함으로써 이 진리를 받아들이는 사람의 삶에서 필수적인 현실이 되는 그분이 모든 사람에게 값없이 허락하신 영생과 의에 관한 것입니다.
기도
사랑하는 하늘 아버지, 나는 전세계의 구원받지 못한 자들을 위해 기도하며, 오늘 그들에게 전파되고 영향을 줄 복음의 길들이 열리기를 선포합니다. 복음을 대적하는 모든 저항이 무너지고, 구원받지 못한 사람들이 그들의 구원을 위해 진리를 이해하고 당신의 말씀을 받아들입니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

His Love Towards Us
“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new”(2 Corinthians 5:17).
Contrary to what many think, it doesn’t take much to be born again. All that’s required is to come into Christ. Romans 10:9 says, “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” That’s all the sinner needs to do.
Once the sinner comes into Christ, suddenly, old things are passed away. The Bible doesn’t say he or she should try to change the old things. God isn’t waiting for sinners to change their old ways before coming to Him. If they could do that themselves, they wouldn’t need Jesus.
Romans 5:10 says, “For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.” How gracious the Lord is! We were reconciled to Him at a time we didn’t even know Him—while we were still enemies. Ephesians 2:4-5 says, “But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved).”
He loved us even when we were dead in sin: “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8). Romans 4:4-5 shows us how this happened. It says, “Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt. But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.”
Our God justifies the ungodly. 2 Corinthians 5:19 says, “To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.” This is the Gospel: it’s about Christ Jesus and His great love for all humanity! It’s about the eternal life and righteousness that He’s freely made available to all, which becomes a vital reality in the life of the one who accepts this truth by confessing the lordship of Jesus Christ.
PRAYER
Dear heavenly Father, I pray for the unsaved around the world, declaring open channels for the Gospel to reach and impact them today. Every resistance is broken, and they receive the truth with understanding and embrace your Word for their salvation, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
