SEE THE KINGDOM WAY
“우리가 잠시 받는 환난의 경한 것이 지극히 크고 영원한 영광의 중한 것을 우리에게 이루게 함이니”(고후4:17)
방금 읽은 구절에 대해 생각해 보십시오. 정말 놀라운 실재입니다! 지금 당신이 얼마나 많은 핍박과 역경을 마주하고 있든지 상관없습니다. 그것들은 일시적인 “가벼운 환난”입니다. 그것이 끝이 아닙니다. 그 “가벼운 환난”은 당신에게 영원한 영광의 중한 것을 이룹니다. 하나님을 송축합니다!
당신을 무너뜨릴 것 같은 그 위기는 일시적입니다! 당신이 말씀에 집중한다면, 훨씬 더 크고 영원한 영광의 중한 것이 그 상황으로 말미암아 나타날 것입니다.
고린도후서 4:17-18은 이 일이 어떻게 일어나는지 말해줍니다. “… 보이는 것은 잠깐이요 보이지 않는 것은 영원함이라”(고후4:17-18) 자연적인 세상에서 보이는 것들을 바라보는 것을 멈추십시오. 보이지 않는 것을 보고 그것에 집중하십시오. 그 보이지 않는 것들이 진짜이기 때문입니다.
당신의 육신적인 눈이나 감각과 연결된 것들은 진짜가 아닙니다. 그들은 일시적입니다. 오늘은 여기 있을지라도 내일이면 사라집니다. 그것들은 바뀌게 되어있습니다! 마치 우리가 엘리사와 그의 종에 대해 읽은 내용과 같습니다. 그들은 적군의 병거, 말, 큰 군대에 둘러싸였습니다. 그때 엘리사의 종은 겁에 질려 “주인님, 우리가 포위되었습니다. 어떻게 하면 좋을까요?” 라고 외쳤습니다.
엘리사가 대답했습니다. “두려워하지 말라. 우리와 함께 한 자가 그들과 함께 한 자보다 많으니라.” 그리고 엘리사는 기도했습니다. “그의 눈을 열어서 보게 하옵소서.”(왕하6:15-17) 엘리사의 종은 잘못된 것을 보고 있었습니다. 진짜 군대와 병거는 엘리사를 둘러싸고 있는 보이지 않는 천사들의 무리였지만, 그는 그 사실을 몰랐습니다. 따라서 당신의 삶에서 보이지 않는 것을 보십시오! 영적으로 보십시오. 왕국의 방식으로 보십시오! 할렐루야!
기도
사랑하는 주님, 당신의 말씀 안에서 살아갈 때 경험하는 지극히 크고 영원한 영광의 중한 것에 감사드립니다. 오 주님, 당신께서 내 삶의 힘이라는 것을 알기에 항상 기뻐합니다. 당신으로 인해 나는 모든 상황에서 영광스럽게 승리하고, 의와 은혜와 지혜와 그리스도를 아는 지식 가운데 다스립니다. 아멘.

See The Kingdom Way
“For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory”(2 Corinthians 4:17).
Think about what we just read; an amazing reality! It makes no difference how much persecution and adversities you’re facing right now; they’re “light afflictions,” with fleeting lifespans. That’s not all: those “light afflictions” produce for you an eternal weight of glory. Blessed be God!
That crisis you thought came to crush you has a transient lifespan! If you would stay focused on the Word, there’s a far more exceeding, and eternal weight of glory that’s sure to result from the situation.
Then He tells us how this happens in 2 Corinthians 4:17-18. It says, “…for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.” Quit looking at the visible things in the natural world; remain focused, looking at the unseen. That’s because those unseen things are real.
The “things” your physical eyes or senses can relate with are not real; they’re temporary—here today, gone tomorrow. They’re subject to change! It’s like what we read about Elisha and his servant when they were surrounded by enemy chariots, horses and a great army. Terrified, Elisha’s servant cried out, “Master, we’re surrounded, what shall we do?”
Elisha replied, “Don’t be afraid; those who are with us are more than those who are with them.” Then Elisha prayed, “Open his eyes, LORD, so that he may see” (2 Kings 6:15-17). The servant was looking at the wrong thing. The real armies and chariots were the unseen host of angels that surrounded Elisha, but the servant didn’t know it. So, in your life, see the unseen! Look and see spiritually. See the Kingdom way! Hallelujah!
PRAYER
Dear Lord, thank you for the far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory that I experience as I walk in your Word. I rejoice always, knowing that you, O Lord, are the strength of my life by whom I triumph gloriously in every situation, reigning in righteousness, grace, wisdom, and in the knowledge of Christ. Amen.
