The Walk Of A Christian
“그러므로 주 안에서 갇힌 내가 너희를 권하노니 너희가 부르심을 받은 일에 합당하게 행하여”(엡 4:1)
기독교의 힘 중 하나는 오늘의 본문 구절에 나온 “행하다”라는 단어에서 파생되었습니다. 그리스도인이 행해야 하는 것들이 있습니다. 당신이 거듭났을 때 하나님께서 당신이 가장 먼저 배우기 원하셨던 것은 일상 생활에서 어떻게 그리스도 안에서 행하는지 입니다. 골로새서 2:6은 말합니다. “그러므로 너희가 그리스도 예수를 주로 받았으니 그 안에서 행하되”
당신이 날마다 어떻게 살고, 어떻게 다른 사람들과 관계를 맺고, 어떻게 하나님과 관계를 맺고, 어떤 종류의 마음을 갖고 사는지는 하나님께 매우 중요합니다. 그리스도인이 반드시 살아야 하는 삶의 방식이 있고, 그 삶의 방식은 그를 그리스도인이 아닌 자들과 구별되게 합니다. 거듭났음에도 불구하고 그리스도인의 삶을 살지 않을 수도 있습니다. 사실 어떤 사람들은 그리스도인의 삶이 진정 무엇인지 알지 못합니다. 그러나 성경은 “그러므로 내가 이것을 말하며 주 안에서 증언하노니 이제부터 너희는 이방인이 그 마음의 허망한 것으로 행함 같이 행하지 말라”(엡 4:17)고 말합니다.
바로 이것이 교회와 목회자가 중요한 이유입니다. 영적인 삶은 훈련을 필요로 하기 때문입니다. 하나님은 그분의 자녀들을 믿는 자들의 모임, 교회 모임으로 인도하셔서 그분의 마음을 따르는 목회자들이 그들이 훈련하고, 가르치고, 말씀을 통해 그들을 세우게 하십니다. (에베소서 4:11-14를 읽어보십시오.)
하나님은 그리스도를 영접하고 교회의 지체가 된 모든 새로운 사람이 교회 안에서 그리스도인으로서 행하는 것을 훈련을 받기를 기대하십니다. 그분은 우리에게 그래야 하는 이유를 설명해 주십니다. “이는 우리가 이제부터 어린 아이가 되지 아니하여 사람의 속임수와 간사한 유혹에 빠져 온갖 교훈의 풍조에 밀려 요동하지 않게 하려 함이라”(엡 4:14)
그분은 15절에서 훈련의 결과인 성장에 대해서 말씀해 주십니다. “오직 사랑 안에서 참된 것을 하여 범사에 그에게까지 자랄지라 그는 머리니 곧 그리스도라” 그리스도인으로서 행하는 것은 어린 그리스도인만을 위한 것이 아닙니다. 당신이 새로 회심한 사람으로서 이것을 배우게 되더라도, 하나님은 당신이 성숙한 단계까지 성장하고, 믿음에 굳건히 뿌리를 내리고, 그분의 이름의 영광과 찬양을 위해 날마다 승리하는 삶을 살기를 바라십니다.

나는 복음을 통해 세상으로부터 하나님께로, 불의로부터 의로, 어둠으로부터 빛으로 구별되었습니다. 나는 하나님의 일들을 배우고 훈련되기 위해 내 마음과 생각을 엽니다. 그리고 나는 말씀을 통해 성령으로 말미암아 성숙한 단계에 이르도록 성장하고, 믿음 안에서 굳게 뿌리를 내리고, 날마다 승리하며 삽니다. 아멘.

THE WALK OF A CHRISTIAN
“I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called” (Ephesians 4:1).
One of the dynamics of Christianity is derived from a very important word from the verse above: WALK! There’s the walk of a Christian. When you’re born again, the first thing God wants to help you learn is how to walk in Christ in your daily life. Colossians 2:6 says, “As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him” (Colossians 2:6).
How you live every day, how you relate with other people, how you relate with God—and the kind of mind you have—these are very important to God. There’s a way a Christian should and must live that distinguishes him or her from a non–Christian. Someone may be born again and not live the Christian life. In fact, some don’t even know what a Christian life really is. But the Bible says, “This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind” (Ephesians 4:17).
This is one of the reasons churches and pastors are important, because the spiritual life requires training. God brings His children into congregations, church assemblies, and gives them pastors after His heart to train them, teach them, and build them through the Word (Read Ephesians 4:11-14).
God expects that in the Church, every new person that receives Christ, that becomes a member of the church, is trained in the Christian walk. Then, He tells us why: “That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive” (Ephesians 4:14).
In the 15th verse, He tells us the end-result—growth: “But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ.” The Christian walk isn’t just for baby Christians. You begin learning it as a new convert, but God expects you to grow unto maturity and become firmly rooted in the faith, and live triumphantly every day to the praise and glory of His Name.
CONFESSION
Through the Gospel, I’ve been separated from the world unto God, from unrighteousness unto righteousness, and from darkness to light. I open my heart and mind to be trained and educated in the things of God. And through the Word, and by the Spirit, I’m growing unto maturity, firmly rooted in the faith to live triumphantly always. Amen.
