The Active Word From God
“기록되었으되 사람이 빵으로만 사는 것이 아니요, 하나님의 모든 말씀으로 사느니라.”(눅 4:4, 한글킹제임스)
오늘의 본문 구절은 사탄의 유혹에 대한 주님의 반응이며, 이는 말씀을 어떻게 사용해야 하는지에 대한 가장 놀라운 통찰력을 줍니다. 여기서 예수님이 실제로 말씀하신 바는 사람이 빵으로만 사는 것이 아니라 하나님의 모든 말씀(레마)로 산다는 것입니다. 그분은 하나님의 로고스 즉 전체 성경말씀을 언급하신 것이 아닙니다. 로고스(Logos)는 하나님의 생각, 성품, 계획, 목적을 표현하는 계시된 하나님의 말씀입니다. 그러나 “레마(rhema)”는 특정한 사람에게, 특정한 목적을 위해, 특정한 시기에 역사하는 하나님의 말씀입니다.
성경에 어떤 내용이 기록되어 있어도 당신이 그 말씀을 모르거나 자신의 것으로 만들지 못했다면 그 말씀에 따라 살 수 없을 것입니다.
성경에 기록된 말씀은 하나님의 로고스이며 진리의 전체입니다. 그러나 당신은 “지금” 당신의 삶에 주어진 로고스 혹은 하나님의 영이 당신을 위해 사역하고 있는 말씀으로 살아갑니다.
이것이 바로 예언이 중요한 이유입니다. 당신이 예언적인 말씀을 받을 때, 그 말씀이 지금 당신에게 필요한 전부이므로 그 말씀은 당신에게 축복이 됩니다. 예를 들어, 당신이 위태로운 상황에 있을 때 불현듯 “… 내가 너희와 항상 함께 있으리라…”(마 28:20)고 하시는 주님의 말씀을 받을 수도 있습니다.
그 말씀은 오래 전에 성경에 기록된 말씀이지만, 하나님의 영이 당신의 삶에 일어난 특정 상황을 위해 주신 것이므로 그 말씀은 당신에게 “레마”가 됩니다. 순간적으로 그러한 말씀이 당신에게 주어질 때, 당신을 향한 하나님의 약속을 다시금 확언하십시오. 그분은 당신과 함께 하시므로 당신은 이길 것입니다. 당신은 힘을 얻고, 강해지며, 승리하도록 고무됩니다! 할렐루야!
기도
사랑하는 하늘 아버지, 내가 성경에 있는 신성한 진리를 공부하고 묵상할 때 당신의 영을 통해 나에게 주어지는 지금 역사하는 선포된 말씀에 감사드립니다. 당신의 말씀은 내가 모든 상황에서 승리하게 하며 모든 일에 탁월하게 합니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

THE ACTIVE WORD FROM GOD
…It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God (Luke 4:4).
The verse above is the Master’s response to one of Satan’s temptations, and it gives a most remarkable insight on how to use the Word. What Jesus actually said is that man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word (rhema in Greek) of God. He wasn’t referring to the Logos of God, which is the whole body of truth; the revealed Word of God that expresses His thoughts, character, plans, purposes and personality. But “rhema,” on the other hand, is the spoken and active Word from God to a specific person, for a specific purpose, at a specific time.
Even though something is written in the Scripture, you may not be able to live by it if you don’t know it or if you don’t personalise it, being addressed to you. What you have in Scripture is the Logos of God, the entire body of truth, but you live by every word of that Logos that’s addressed to you in the “now” of your life, or every word that the Spirit of God ministers to you for you.
This is the reason prophecy is important. When you receive a prophetic word, it blesses you because it’s what you need for the moment. For example, you may be in a precarious situation and suddenly, you receive a word from the Lord saying, “…lo, I am with you always…” (Matthew 28:20).
Now, those words were written in the Scriptures long ago, but it becomes “rhema” when the Spirit of God brings it to you in the now of your life in whatever situation you’re in. As brief as those words are, they’re loaded, and reaffirm God’s commitment to you. He’s with you, and for that reason, you have it made; you’re energized, strengthened and inspired to win! Hallelujah!
PRAYER
Dear heavenly Father, I thank you for your spoken and active word that comes to me through your Spirit as I study and meditate on the divine truths in the Scriptures. Your Word puts me over and above all situations and causes me to excel in everything, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
