새롭고 살아 있는 길
The New And Living Way
“그러므로 형제들아 우리에게는 예수의 피로 인하여 지성소에 들어갈 담력이 있나니 이는 그가 휘장 곧 그의 육체를 통해서 새롭고 살아 있는 길로 우리를 위해 바치셨음이라”(히 10:19-20, 한글킹제임스)
얼마나 굉장한 일입니까! 예수님은 우리에게 아버지께로 가는 새롭고 살아 있는 길을 열어 주셨습니다. 그분은 아버지의 임재로 가는 휘장을 찢으시고 우리가 그 안으로 들어가도록 인도하셨습니다. 하나님을 송축합니다! 요한복음 14:6에 기록된 그분의 말씀을 기억하십시오. “내가 곧 길이요 진리요 생명이니 나로 말미암지 않고는 아버지께로 올 자가 없느니라.”
창세기에서 아담은 하나님께 죄를 짓고 아내인 하와와 함께 하나님의 임재로부터 떠나게 되었습니다. 그들은 에덴동산에서 하나님과 교제했지만, 성경은 하나님이 불타는 검을 든 천사를 보내 그들이 동산에 다시 들어오지 못하도록 동산 문을 지키게 하셨다고 말합니다.
갑자기, 인간이 하나님과 누렸던 풍성한 교제가 끝이 나버린 것입니다. 그것이 종교의 시작이었습니다. 인간은 하나님의 임재를 다시 얻기 위해 그가 할 수 있는 모든 것을 하기 시작했습니다. 오늘날 세상의 모든 종교는 하나님의 임재를 추구하고 있습니다. 그러나 인간은 예수님이 오실 때까지 하나님의 임재로 다시 들어갈 수 있는 길이 없었습니다. 예수님은 우리가 오늘 본문 구절에서 읽었던 것처럼 놀라운 말씀을 하셨습니다. “내가 곧 길이요… 나로 말미암지 않고는 아버지께로 올 자가 없느니라”(요 14:6).
이것이 아담과 구약의 아버지들이 필요로 했던 것입니다. 바로 아버지의 임재로 가는 길입니다. 예수님이 그 길이십니다. 그분이 십자가에서 죽으셨을 때, 성경은 지성소와 성전을 분리하던 두꺼운 휘장이 위에서 아래로 둘로 찢어졌다고 말합니다(마 27:51). 이 일은 우리가 아버지의 임재에 접근할 수 있게 했습니다.
오늘날에는 휘장도, 당신과 아버지 사이를 분리하는 것도 없습니다. 당신은 그분의 임재 안에 삽니다. 성경은 말합니다. “주가 계신 곳에는 기쁨이 충만하고 영원한 즐거움이 있을 것이다!”(시 16:11, 현대인의성경) 만일 당신이 그분의 임재로 가는 길을 찾지 못했거나 아직 거듭나지 않았다면, 더 이상은 죄와 실패와 무지 안에 빠져 있을 필요가 없습니다. 길을 찾을 필요가 없습니다. 예수님이 길이십니다. 당신이 해야 할 일은 당신의 삶에 대한 그분의 주되심을 고백하는 것입니다. 그러면 하나님의 임재 안에서 영원히 신나는 삶을 시작하기 위해 당신의 영이 재창조될 것입니다. 할렐루야!
고백
나는 영원히 기쁨과 영광과 즐거움 안에 살도록 하나님의 임재 안에서 태어났습니다. 그분의 임재 안에 생명의 길이 있으므로 내 삶은 위로 그리고 앞으로만 갑니다. 그분의 빛은 환히 비추며, 나는 오직 축복과 그리스도와 분리될 수 없는 하나됨의 유익만을 봅니다. 주님의 이름에 영원히 영광을 드립니다.

THE NEW AND LIVING WAY
Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh (Hebrews 10:19-20).
How awesome this is! Jesus opened for us a new and living way to the Father; He took off the veil to the Father’s presence and ushered us in. Blessed be God! Remember His words in John 14:6: “…I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”
Recall that in Genesis, Adam had sinned against God and was driven away from the presence of God, together with his wife, Eve. They’d been in fellowship with God in the Garden of Eden, but the Bible says God sent an angel with a flaming sword to stay at the gate of the Garden to disallow them from re-entering the garden.
Suddenly, the rich fellowship man once had with God was over. That was the beginning of religion. Man began to do everything he could to get that divine presence again. All the religions of the world today are seeking the same thing: the divine presence. Man had no way to get back into that presence, until Jesus came. He made a startling statement which we read earlier. He said, “…I am the WAY…no one comes to the Father, but by me!” (John 14:6).
This was what Adam needed. This was what the Patriarchs of the Old Testament all needed?the way to the Father’s presence. Jesus is that way. When He died on the Cross, the Bible says the thick veil that separated the temple from the Most Holy Place was torn in two, from top to bottom (Matthew 27:51), making the presence of God accessible.
Today, there’s no veil, no separation anymore between you and the Father. You live in His presence, and the Bible says, “In His presence is fullness of joy and pleasures evermore” (Psalm 16:11). If you haven’t found your way into His presence, if you’re not yet born again, there’s no need to wallow in sin, defeat and ignorance anymore. There’s no need searching for the way; Jesus is the Way. All you have to do is confess His lordship over your life, and your spirit will be recreated to begin an exciting life in God’s presence for eternity. Hallelujah!
CONFESSION
I was born into God’s presence to live eternally in joy, glory and pleasures evermore. My life is upward and forward, because in His presence is the path of life; His light illuminates and all I see is blessings and the glorious benefits of my inseparable oneness with Christ. Glory to His Name forever.
