Direct Their Course Through Prayer
“그러므로 내가 첫째로 권하노니 모든 사람을 위하여 간구와 기도와 도고와 감사를 하되 임금들과 높은 지위에 있는 모든 사람을 위하여 하라 이는 우리가 모든 경건과 단정함으로 고요하고 평안한 생활을 하려 함이라”(딤전 2:1-2)
오늘의 본문 구절은 성령님께서 사도 바울을 통해 교회에게 주신 훈계입니다. 그분은 모든 사람과 우리가 살고 있는 나라와 지도자들을 위한 진심 어린 중보기도의 중요성을 말씀하셨습니다. 우리는 중보기도의 결과로 하나님의 평안과 부요의 축복을 강력하게 경험하게 되는 것입니다. 당신의 나라와 전 세계에 있는 사람들의 심령을 위해 기도하고 주장하여, 하나님의 의가 세워지고 모든 형태의 악과 혼란과 부정과 공포가 저지되는 것은 당신이 순종하여 해야 할 일입니다.
오늘날 세상에서 일어나는 일들은 큰 걱정거리입니다. 그러나 교회는 해결책을 가지고 있습니다. 교회는 지금 이 땅에 있는 악을 대적하는 유일한 세력입니다(살후 2:7). 그러므로 당신은 불평할 게 아니라 기도해야 합니다. 만일 당신이 자신의 나라, 지도자들, 사람들을 위해 기도하지 않는다면 평안이 어디에서 오겠습니까?

도전에 대응하여 기도의 책임을 지십시오. 당신이 살거나 일하고 있는 나라와 전 세계 국가들과 지도자들을 위해 성령 안에서 열렬히 진심으로 기도하십시오. 하나님의 의가 승리한다고 선포하십시오. 그리고 담대히 복음을 전하며, 사람들의 심령에 그분의 영광이 임하고 영향을 끼친다고 선포하십시오.
또한 사역자들이 담대함과 능력으로 복음을 전하도록 더 많은 은혜를 받고, 더 많은 영혼들이 전 세계 교회에 더해지도록 기도하십시오. 휴거가 일어날 때까지 우리는 나라를 다스릴 진정한 통치권을 가지고 있고, 기도를 통해 그들의 경로를 지시할 권세가 있습니다.

하늘에 계신 아버지, 나는 당신의 평안과 진보와 번영이 전 세계 나라들을 다스리고, 복음의 사역자들이 당신의 말씀을 담대히 전하고 사역하도록 기도합니다. 그들의 메시지가 사람들의 마음에 당신의 사랑을 불 붙이기를 기도합니다. 오늘 복음을 통해 많은 사람들의 삶에 나타날 대단하고 영광스러운 변화에 감사드립니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

DIRECT THEIR COURSE THROUGH PRAYER
I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty (1 Timothy 2:1-2).
Our theme scripture is the Spirit’s admonition through Paul to the Church on the importance of earnest intercession for all men, our countries of domicile, and the leaders therein. The result of such is an overwhelming experience of God’s blessings of peace and prosperity. This is part of what you do in obedience?praying, contending for the hearts of men in your country, and around the world?that God’s righteousness be established, and all forms of evil, turmoil, wickedness and terror, be thwarted.
Today, the happenings in our world are a great source of concern. But the Church holds the solution.
The Church is the only restraining power against evil in the earth today (2 Thessalonians 2:7). So, you must pray and not complain. If you don’t pray for your country, the leaders and people, where would peace come from?
Read our theme verse again; God’s directive on how we must pray in order to experience peace in our nations is clear; it’s not by bearing arms or becoming riotous. Rise to the challenge and take up the responsibility of prayer. Pray earnestly and fervidly in the Spirit for the nations and leaders of the countries where you live or work, and the rest of the world. Declare that God’s righteousness prevails, and His glory rests on, and influences men’s hearts as God’s people boldly proclaim the Gospel.
Pray also for ministers, that they’d be granted more grace to preach the Gospel with boldness and power, that many more souls would be added to the Church all around the world. Until the rapture takes place, we hold the true reins of power in the nations, and have the authority to direct their course through prayer.
PRAYER
Dear heavenly Father, I pray that your peace, progress and prosperity will reign in the nations of the world and that you’ll grant the ministers of the Gospel the courage to preach and minister your Word boldly. I pray that the power and influence of their message will kindle your love in people’s hearts. Thank you for the tremendous and glorious transformation of many lives through the Gospel today, in Jesus’ Name.
