예수님은 당신을 대표하십니다
He’s There In Your Name
“내 아버지 집에 거할 곳이 많도다 그렇지 않으면 너희에게 일렀으리라 내가 너희를 위하여 거처를 예비하러 가노니 가서 너희를 위하여 거처를 예비하면 내가 다시 와서 너희를 내게로 영접하여 나 있는 곳에 너희도 있게 하리라”(요 14:2-3)
어떤 사람들은 오늘의 본문 구절을 예수님이 우리의 집을 짓기 위해 천국에 가셨다는 의미로 해석합니다. 그래서 그들은 누군가 자신의 삶을 그리스도께 드리면 하나님께서 그 사람을 위해 천국에서 집을 짓기 시작하신다고 생각합니다. 그들은 성경에서 다음과 같이 말한 것을 기억하지 못합니다. “… 세상을 창조할 때부터 그 일이 이루어졌느니라”(히 4:3). 천국은 아름다운 장소이며 이미 지어진 곳입니다. 그렇다면 예수님께서 말씀하신 곳은 어디입니까?
답은 간단합니다. 성경은 예수님이 지옥에서 승리하시고 갈릴리에 있는 제자들에게 모습을 나타내셨을 때 “평안하냐”(마 28:9)고 말씀하셨다고 말합니다. 그리고 나서 그분은 하늘로 가셨고 한 자리를 받으셨는데, 그것은 그저 아버지 옆이나 가까운 자리가 아니었습니다. 그분은 아버지의 자리를 받으셨습니다! 그분은 하늘에서 아버지의 위엄의 보좌에 앉으셨습니다. 그것은 가장 높은 권세의 자리입니다.
그리고 성경은 이렇게 말합니다. “그러므로 너희가 그리스도와 함께 다시 살리심을 받았으면 위의 것을 찾으라 거기는 그리스도께서 하나님 우편에 앉아 계시느니라”(골 3:1). 예수님께서 하신 모든 일은 우리를 위한 것이었습니다. 그러므로 그분이 우리를 위해 예비하신 거처는 아버지 우편의 자리였습니다. 그분은 영광 가운데 그분 안에서 그리고 그분과 함께 우리가 그 자리에 있게 하셨습니다. 이제 우리는 하늘의 영역에서 그분과 함께 앉아 있습니다.
히브리서 9:24은 말합니다. “그리스도께서는 참 것의 그림자인 손으로 만든 성소에 들어가지 아니하시고 바로 그 하늘에 들어가사 이제 우리를 위하여 하나님 앞에 나타나시고.” 예수님이 하늘에 계시는 한 우리도 하늘에 나타납니다. 그분은 하늘에서 우리를 대표하십니다!
이것이 하나님께서 우리에게 예수 이름 안에서 살라고 하신 이유입니다. 골로새서 3:17은 말합니다. “또 무엇을 하든지 말에나 일에나 다 주 예수의 이름으로 하고(in the name of the Lord Jesus) …” 그분은 우리 이름 안에 계시고 우리는 그분의 이름 안에 있기 때문입니다. 우리는 그분의 이름 안에서 사탄과 어둠의 무리들을 통치하고 다스립니다. 할렐루야!
고백
주님은 나를 영광스러운 자리 곧 권세와 다스림의 자리에 두셨습니다. 그곳에서 나는 모든 정사와 권세와 능력과 주관자와 일컫는 모든 이름을 다스립니다. 내가 말할 때 모든 피조물이 응답합니다. 내가 예수 이름 안에서 살고 있기 때문입니다. 지금도 나는 사람들에 대한 사탄의 영향력을 깨뜨리며 그들의 심령에 영광스러운 복음의 광채가 빛나도록 예수 이름으로 선포합니다.

HE’S THERE IN YOUR NAME
In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also (John 14:2-3).
Some people interpret the above scripture to mean that Jesus went to Heaven to construct our mansions. So, they think when someone gives his or her life to Christ, God starts building a mansion for that person in Heaven. But they forget that the Bible says “…the works were finished from the foundation of the world” (Hebrews 4:3). Heaven is a beautiful place, and it’s already been built. So, what place was Jesus talking about then?
The answer is simple: The Bible says Jesus was victorious in hell, and when He came to the disciples in Galilee, He said, “…All hail” (Matthew 28:9). Then He went into Heaven and was given a place! That place isn’t a chair beside or close to the Father; no, He got the Father’s seat! He’s set on the Father’s throne of Majesty in the heavens. It’s the place of the highest authority.
Then the scripture says, “If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God” (Colossians 3:1 NKJV). Everything Jesus did was for us. The place He went to prepare for us is the place at the right hand of the Father; He got us a place in, and with Himself in glory. Now we’re seated together with Him in the heavenly realms.
Hebrews 9:24 says, “For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us.” As long as Jesus is in Heaven, we’re well represented in heaven.
He represents us there! That’s why He told us to live in His Name. Colossians 3:17 says, “And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus….” This is because He’s there in our Name, and we’re here in His Name. We reign and rule over Satan and the cohorts of darkness, in His Name. Hallelujah!
CONFESSION
The Lord has brought me into a glorious place, a place of authority and dominion, where I reign and rule over all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named. When I speak, all of creation responds, because I live in Christ. Even now, I break the influence of Satan over men’s lives, and declare that the light of the glorious Gospel shines in their hearts, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
