우리는 예수님과 같은 종류의 자들입니다
We Are His “Manner Of Men”
“그들이 심히 두려워하여 서로 말하되 그가 누구이기에 바람과 바다도 순종하는가 하였더라”(막 4:41)
주 예수님은 이 땅에 계실 때 경이로움 그 자체였습니다. 그분은 상황을 지배하는 분이셨습니다. 어느 날 제자들은 예수님에 대한 경외감 가운데 오늘의 본문 구절과 같은 질문을 했습니다. 예수님이 거센 폭풍우를 잠재우신 다음에 일어난 일이었습니다.
또 다른 날, 제자들은 바닷가 멀리 항해하고 있었는데 그들을 향해 물 위를 걸어오는 사람을 발견했습니다. 그 사람은 예수님이셨습니다. 그들은 다시금 “자연을 거스르는 이 사람은 도대체 누구인가?”하고 궁금해했습니다. 예수님이 승천하신 장면을 생각해보십시오. 그분은 그저 공중으로 떠서 구름에 싸여 하늘로 올라가셨습니다.
예수님이 진정 어떤 분이셨는지 아는 것이 당신에게 유익합니다. 예수님을 알기 전까지는 그분 안에서 참된 믿음을 가질 수 없고 자신에 대해서도 제대로 알 수 없습니다. 놀라운 사실은 예수님을 믿는 자는 누구든지 그분이 가진 생명을 받는다는 것입니다. 요한복음 1:12-13은 말합니다. “영접하는 자 곧 그 이름을 믿는 자들에게는 하나님의 자녀가 되는 권세를 주셨으니 이는 혈통으로나 육정으로나 사람의 뜻으로 나지 아니하고 오직 하나님께로부터 난 자들이니라.”
이 구절의 후반부에서 당신이 하나님께로부터 난 자라고 말한 것에 주목하십시오. 예수님이 되신 그 말씀으로부터 당신도 태어났다는 의미입니다. 베드로전서 1:23은 말합니다. “너희가 거듭난 것은 썩어질 씨로 된 것이 아니요 썩지 아니할 씨로 된 것이니 살아 있고 항상 있는 하나님의 말씀으로 되었느니라.” 야고보서 1:18은 말합니다. “… 자기의 뜻을 따라 진리의 말씀으로 우리를 낳으셨느니라.”
우리는 말씀으로 태어난 자들이기 때문에 예수님과 같은 종류의 자들입니다. 요한이 “주께서 그러하심과 같이 우리도 이 세상에서 그러하니라”(요일 4:17)고 말한 것은 놀랄 일이 아닙니다. 예수님 안에는 신성의 모든 충만이 육체로 거하셨습니다. 그분은 인간의 몸을 입고서 걷고 말한 살아 계신 하나님이셨습니다. 그 동일한 신성의 충만이 오늘 당신 안에 거합니다. 예수님이 그러하셨듯이 당신도 살아 계신 하나님의 살아 움직이는 집입니다. 할렐루야!
고백
나는 오늘 살아 계신 하나님의 성전이며, 그분의 움직이는 본부입니다. 나는 그분 안에서 살고, 움직이며, 존재합니다. 더 크신 분이 내 안에 사십니다. 나는 그분의 충만함으로 가득하며 모든 곳에 왕국의 진리를 전달합니다. 아멘!

WE ARE HIS “MANNER OF MEN”
…What manner of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him? (Mark 4:41).
The Lord Jesus, when He walked the earth, was a marvel; a master over circumstances. One day, the disciples, in awe of Him, asked the question we read in our theme verse. This was after He hushed a billowing tempest to sleep.
On another occasion, the disciples had sailed far out at sea when they suddenly saw a figure walking towards them on the water; it was Jesus. Again, they wondered, “What manner of man is this that defies nature?” Think about His ascension to heaven! He simply levitated and went through the clouds into heaven.
It pays to know who Jesus really is. Until you know Him, you can’t have true faith in Him, and you wouldn’t know yourself. Here’s something most extraordinary: anyone who believes in Jesus receives the same life that He has. John 1:12-13 says, “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God…Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.”
Notice that the latter part says you’re born of God, meaning that you’re born of the same Word that became Jesus. 1 Peter 1:23 says, “Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.” James 1:18 says, “Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth….”
We’re the same manner of men as Jesus, because we’re offsprings of the Word. No wonder John said, “…as he is, so are we in this world” (1 John 4:17). All of divinity was tabernacled in Jesus; He was God alive—walking and talking in a man’s body. That same fullness of divinity dwells in you today. Like Him, you’re the living, moving house of the living God. Hallelujah!
CONFESSION
I’m the temple of the living God, His mobile headquarters in the earth today. In Him I live, and move, and have my being. The greater One lives in me; I’m filled with His fullness, and dispense the verities of the Kingdom in every place. Amen.
