높은 부르심
A High Calling
“모든 것이 하나님께로서 났으며 그가 그리스도로 말미암아 우리를 자기와 화목하게 하시고 또 우리에게 화목하게 하는 직분을 주셨으니”(고후 5:18)
베드로후서 3:9은 하나님이 아무도 멸망하지 않고 다 회개하기에 이르기를 원하신다고 말합니다. 하나님은 모든 사람의 구원을 위해 죽도록 예수님을 보내심으로써 그분의 약속을 확증하셨습니다(요 3:16). 그러나 잃어버린 자들을 구원하겠다는 그분의 약속에도 불구하고, 하나님은 그 일을 그분의 성도들인 우리를 통해 하기 원하시며 우리를 “화해의 사역”으로 임명하셨습니다.
마가복음 16:15에서 예수님은 말씀하셨습니다. “… 너희는 온 천하에 다니며 만민에게 복음을 전파하라.” 우리는 이 땅에서 가장 위대한 영광인 복음을 전하는 기회를 얻었습니다. 하나님은 우리에게 세상을 변화시키는 일에 그분의 동역자가 될 수 있는 진귀한 특권을 주셨습니다. 우리는 다른 사람들의 삶을 변화시키는 일을 하는 그분의 동역자입니다.
하나님께서 천사들이 아닌 당신과 저에게 영혼구원을 맡기셨다는 사실을 생각해보십시오. 복되신 하나님의 영광스러운 복음은 우리에게 맡겨졌습니다(딤전 1:11). 복음을 전파하는 일에 충실 하십시오. 끊임없이 복음을 전하십시오. 마치 물이 바다를 덮음 같이 땅이 주의 영광의 지식으로 가득 찰 때까지 멈추지 마십시오.
주님께서 모든 일을 완수하시고, 전 세계에 그 소식을 전하기 위해 우리를 보내신다는 것은 얼마나 놀라운 축복이며 특권이고 영광입니까! 그리고 당신이 그 일을 성공적으로 할 수 있도록 당신에게 성령님을 주셔서 당신과 함께 하게 하시고, 당신 안에 살게 하셨습니다. 성령님은 당신을 능력 있고, 능숙하며, 효과적인 복음의 일꾼으로 만드십니다(고후 3:6). 그분은 당신이 부활하신 그리스도의 담대한 증인이 되고 당신의 부르심을 성취할 능력을 주십니다.
고백
땅끝까지 복음을 전하는 것은 나의 열정이며 그리스도 예수 안에서 내가 받은 높은 부르심 입니다. 나는 영광스러운 그리스도의 구원의 복음을 맡는 영광과 특권과 축복을 받았습니다. 그리고 오늘 그 어느 때보다도 더 능력 있게 복음을 전하며, 그 복음은 듣고 믿는 모든 사람에게 구원을 줍니다. 하나님을 송축합니다!

A HIGH CALLING
And all things are of God, who hath… given to us the ministry of reconciliation (2 Corinthians 5:18).
2 Peter 3:9 tells us that God isn’t willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. He proved His commitment by sending Jesus to die for the salvation of all men (John 3:16).
However, despite God’s commitment to saving the lost, He wills to do it through us—His saints—and has committed to us “the ministry of reconciliation.”
Jesus said in Mark 16:15, “…Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.” We have the greatest honour on earth: the opportunity to preach the Gospel. God gave us the rare privilege of being His partners in changing the world: His partners in transforming lives.
Think about the fact that God didn’t give the charge of soul winning to angels, but to you and me. The glorious Gospel of the blessed God has been committed to our trust (1 Timothy 1:11); be faithful in it. Be on the go with the Gospel; don’t stop until the knowledge of the glory of God covers the earth as the waters cover the sea.
What a marvellous blessing, privilege and honour that the Lord would do all He did, and send us to herald the news around the world! Then to ensure you succeed at it, He gave you the Holy Spirit to be with you, and in you. The Holy Spirit makes you an able, competent, and effective minister of the Gospel (2 Corinthians 3:6). He gives you the ability to be a bold witness of the resurrected Christ and to fulfil your calling.
CONFESSION
Taking the Gospel to the ends of the earth is my passion and high calling in Christ Jesus. I’m honoured, privileged and blessed to be entrusted with the glorious Gospel of Christ’s salvation, and today, more than ever, I preach it with power, bringing salvation to as many as hear and believe.
