일관적인 전진
Consistent Progress
“그러나 의인의 길은 빛나는 빛같이 점점 더 빛나 완전한 날에 이르거니와”(잠 4:18, 한글킹제임스)
인생에서 원하는 것들 중 하나는 일관성입니다. 제가 “나는 항상 위로, 앞으로만 갑니다.”라고 말할 때, 이 말은 과장된 표현이나 앞으로 일어났으면 하는 일에 대한 고백이 아닙니다. 하나님의 말씀의 능력으로 가능한 삶의 실재입니다. 나는 항상 전진합니다. 이것이 그리스도 안에서 우리의 삶입니다.
당신은 일이나 사역이나 삶의 모든 분야에서 전진하는 일에 매우 일관적일 수 있습니다. 그리스도인에게 있어서 상황으로 인해 부유해지는 것은 번영이 아닙니다. 어떤 사람들은 좋은 시기로 인해 부유해질 수도 있습니다. 그러나 그들은 경제 상황이 좋을 때는 호황을 누리지만 상황이 바뀌면 그들의 부는 급락합니다. 이것으로는 충분하지 않습니다.
아브라함과 이삭과 야곱을 공부해 보십시오. 그들은 하나님과 함께 했기 때문에 그 시기의 경제적 상황과 상관없이 번영했습니다. 창세기 26:12-14은 이삭이 어떻게 기근의 때에 온 나라가 시기할 정도로 번영할 수 있었는지 보여줍니다. “이삭이 그 땅에서 농사하여 그 해에 백 배나 얻었고 여호와께서 복을 주시므로 그 사람이 창대하고 왕성하여 마침내 거부가 되어 양과 소가 떼를 이루고 종이 심히 많으므로 블레셋 사람이 그를 시기하여”
우리는 아브라함의 자손이기 때문에 위와 같은 일들이 우리 모두에게 반드시 일어나야 합니다. 하나님과 그분이 우리에게 주신 생명은 일관성을 나타냅니다. 그러므로 오르락내리락 하는 성공에 안주하기를 거절하십시오. “내 삶은 위로, 앞으로만 간다”고 선포하고 말씀 위에 굳게 서십시오. 말씀을 행하십시오. 이것이 끝없는 성공의 삶을 사는 비결입니다.
디모데전서 4:15은 우리에게 하나님의 말씀을 묵상하는 것이 지속적인 발전을 보장한다고 알려줍니다. 바울은 디모데에게 이렇게 말했습니다. “이 일들을 묵상하고 이 일들에 전념하여 너의 진전이 모든 사람들에게 드러나게 하라”(한글킹제임스) 할렐루야!
기도
사랑하는 아버지, 내 삶에서 지속적인 전진을 일으키는 당신의 말씀의 실재에 감사드립니다. 내 삶은 이 세상의 불규칙하고 점점 축소되는 경제 시스템과 상관없이 위로, 앞으로만 갑니다. 나는 예수 이름 안에서 완전하고 지속적인 승리 안에 살아감을 선포합니다. 아멘.

CONSISTENT PROGRESS
But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day (Proverbs 4:18).
One of the things you want to see in your life is consistent success. When I say, “I’m always moving upward and forward,” it’s not an exaggeration or a confession of something that I want to happen; no! It’s the reality of my life, made possible by the power of God’s Word. I’m always making progress; that’s our life in Christ.
You can be very consistent, making progress in your work, in ministry, and in every area of your life. For the Christian, being circumstantially prosperous isn’t prosperity. Some people can be prosperous because of the conditions of the time. When the economic conditions are favourable, they do well, but when there’s a change, their prosperity takes a nosedive. That’s not good enough.
Study Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob; they prospered, walking with God, irrespective of the economic conditions of the times. Genesis 26:12-14 talks about Isaac, and how he prospered so much at a time of famine, that the entire country envied him: “Then Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year an hundredfold: and the LORD blessed him. And the man waxed great, and went forward, and grew until he became very great: For he had possession of flocks, and possession of herds, and great store of servants: and the Philistines envied him.”
This is how it ought to be for every one of us, because we’re the seed of Abraham. Everything about God and the life He’s given us depicts consistency. Therefore, refuse to settle for undulating success. Declare, “My life is upward and forward only,” and then stick to the Word. Practise the Word; that’s the secret to a life of unending success.
1 Timothy 4:15 (GNB) lets us know that meditating on the Word of God is the guarantee for sustainable progress. Paul wrote to Timothy: “Practice these things and devote yourself to them, in order that your progress may be seen by all.” Hallelujah!
PRAYER
Dear Father, thank you for the reality of your Word in my life that causes me to make consistent progress. My life is upward and forward only, irrespective of the dwindling and erratic economic systems of the world. I declare that I walk in absolute and continual victory, in the Name of Jesus. Amen.
