Continuous Transformation
“그를 창조하신 분의 형상(모양)을 따라 [더 충만하고 더 온전한] 지식 안에서 새롭게 된 새 사람[영적 존재]을 입었으니”(골 3:10)
오늘의 본문 구절에서 “새롭게 된”이라고 번역된 헬라어 “아나카이노오(Anakainoo)”는 새로움과 특성에 있어서 질적으로 다른 것을 의미합니다. 고린도후서 3:18의 핵심 단어를 설명하는 단어이기도 합니다. “우리가 다 수건을 벗은 얼굴로 거울을 보는 것 같이 주의 영광을 보매 그와 같은 형상으로 변화하여 영광에서 영광에 이르니 곧 주의 영으로 말미암음이니라”
위의 구절에서 “변화하여”로 번역된 헬라어 단어는 “메타모르포오(metamorphoo)”인데, 이는 상태와 형태와 종류와 질과 영광에서의 지속적인 변화를 뜻합니다. 그런데 어떻게 이런 변화가 일어난 것일까요? 그 일은 “온전하고 정확한 지식(헬라어: 에피그노시스epignosis)”을 통해 이루어집니다. 여기서 말하는 지식은 어렴풋이 알거나 동떨어진 지식이 아니라 직접적으로 깨달은 정확한 지식입니다. 당신은 묵상과 계시를 통해 얻은 이 하나님의 온전한 지식 안에서 새로워집니다.
“에피그노시스” 안에서 당신은 아는 그대로가 됩니다. 당신에게 주어진 지식이 당신의 삶을 변화시킵니다. 하나님의 말씀을 받아들일 때 당신의 영은 새롭게 되고, 새 힘을 얻고, 빛이 납니다. 당신은 더욱 더 빛나게 됩니다! 이것이 하나님의 말씀이 당신 안에 풍성히 거하게 해야 하는 이유입니다. 당신이 그분에 대해서 더 많이 알수록 더 많은 영광과 은혜와 지혜와 성령의 역사가 당신의 삶에 나타나고 증가됩니다.
주 예수님은 요한복음 6:33에서 이렇게 말씀하셨습니다. “살리는 것은 영이니 육은 무익하니라 내가 너희에게 이른 말은 영이요 생명이라” 인간의 영에 영향을 끼치고, 변화시키고, 빛나게 하고, 영광스럽게 할 수 있는 것은 오직 하나님의 말씀뿐입니다.
기도
사랑하는 아버지, 말씀에 대한 지식과 그 지식이 내 영에 가져오는 변화에 감사드립니다. 내가 말씀을 묵상할 때 나의 심령과 생각은 말씀과의 완전하고, 깊고, 친밀한 교제를 받아들입니다. 그러므로 나는 은혜 가운데 성장하며, 지속적으로 당신의 영광과 능력과 아름다움과 온전함이 내 안에서 그리고 나를 통해 드러납니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

CONTINUOUS TRANSFORMATION
And have clothed yourselves with the new [spiritual self], which is [ever in
the process of being] renewed and remolded into [fuller and more perfect
knowledge upon] knowledge after the image (the likeness) of Him Who created it (Colossians 3:10 AMPC).
The Greek word translated “renewed” above
is the verb “Anakainoo,” and it means a
qualitative difference, in terms of newness and quality.
It’s a word that describes a keyword in 2 Corinthians
3:18: “But we all, with open face beholding as in
a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the
same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit
of the Lord.”
The Greek word translated “Changed” is
“metamorphoo”; a change in state, form, kind,
quality or glory; a continuous transformation. But
how is it done? It’s through knowledge, full and exact
knowledge (Greek: “epignosis”). This isn’t just the
knowledge of mere or distant acquaintance, but one
that relates with that which is known. You’re being
renewed in this full knowledge of God which you gain
through meditation and revelation.
In “Epignosis,” you become what you know; the
knowledge that’s granted you transforms your life.
As you receive God’s Word into you, your spirit is
renewed, refreshed, polished anew; you glow more
and more! It’s the reason you must let the Word of God
dwell in you richly, because the more you know Him,
the more the glory, grace, wisdom and effectiveness
of the Spirit are manifested and increased in your life.
The Lord Jesus said in John 6:63, “It is the spirit
that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words
that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are
life.” It’s only God’s Word that can impact, transform,
brighten and glorify the human spirit.
PRAYER
Dear Father, I thank you for the knowledge of the Word and the transformation it brings to my spirit. As I meditate on the Word, my heart and mind are open to have a full, deep and intimate relationship with the
Word. Therefore, I grow in grace, and continually, your glory, power, beauty and perfections are manifested in and through me, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
