항상 이깁니다
Always Victorious
항상 우리를 그리스도 안에서 이기게 하시고 우리로 말미암아 각처에서 그리스도를 아는 냄새를 나타내시는 하나님께 감사하노라”(고후 2:14)
모든 집단 중 교회가 가장 박해를 많이 받고 있는 이유가 있습니다. 사탄은 다가오는 일들을 두려워하여 많은 사람들의 마음에 공포를 심기 위해 무척 노력하고 있습니다. 그러나 그는 패배자입니다. 위대한 일들이 예수 그리스도의 교회에서 일어나고 있고, 사탄은 이를 막을 수 없습니다. 우리에게 일어나고 있는 일들은 기술이나 과학, 정치에서 일어나는 일들보다 훨씬 큽니다.
예수님은 마태복음 16:18(한글킹제임스)에서 이렇게 말씀하셨습니다. “…이 반석 위에 내가 나의 교회를 세우리니, 지옥의 문들이 그것을 이기지 못하리라” 여기서 “문”이라는 단어는 “권세와 다스림”을 상징하는 예언적 언어입니다. 그러므로 지옥의 권세와 다스림이 교회를 이길 수 없습니다.
처음부터 교회는 수많은 끔찍한 박해를 견디고 살아남았으며, 앞으로도 그 승리는 지속될 것입니다. 왜냐하면 하나님의 말씀이 분명히 이렇게 말하기 때문입니다. “누가 우리를 그리스도의 사랑에서 끊으리요 환난이나 곤고나 박해나 기근이나 적신이나 위험이나 칼이랴 기록된 바 우리가 종일 주를 위하여 죽임을 당하게 되며 도살 당할 양 같이 여김을 받았나이다 함과 같으니라 그러나 이 모든 일에 우리를 사랑하시는 이로 말미암아 우리가 넉넉히 이기느니라”(롬 8:35-37)
우리는 영원히 승리합니다. 우리는 모든 반대를 부수고 모든 역경을 극복합니다. 이것이 교회에 대한 축복입니다. 성령님은 교회의 최종 권위자이며 그분은 하나님이십니다. 그분은 우리 안에서, 우리와 함께, 우리를 통해 일하고 계십니다. 그러므로 우리가 실패하는 것은 불가능합니다. 우리는 시작하기도 전에 이미 승리했습니다. 우리는 이미 기록된 말씀을 행할 뿐입니다. 할렐루야!
오늘의 본문 구절에 대해서 확대번역본은 이렇게 말합니다. “그러나 이제 하나님께 감사드립니다, 항상 우리를 승리로 이끄시고 (그리스도의 승리의 트로피로서…)” 우리에게 이런 일이 일어나고 있는 것입니다. 우리는 성령님의 승리의 행진 가운데 있습니다. 당신이 해야 할 일은 주님의 일들에 집중하고 그분을 기쁨으로 섬기는 것입니다. 할렐루야!
고백
나는 영광스럽고 승리하는 그리스도의 몸의 지체입니다. 그러므로 나는 파괴될 수 없습니다. 무슨 일이 일어나든지 나는 승리합니다. 말씀이 나를 성공시키며 나의 승리를 보장하기 때문입니다. 내 안에 계신 이가 세상에 있는 자보다 더 크십니다. 나는 오늘 그리고 영원히 그리스도와 함께 다스리고 통치합니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

ALWAYS VICTORIOUS
Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place (2 Corinthians 2:14).
There’s a reason the Church is the most persecuted of the demographics in the world: Satan is afraid of what’s coming, and he’s making so much effort to cause fear in the hearts of many. But he’s a failure. Mighty things are happening in the Church of Jesus Christ, and the devil can’t contain it. What’s happening with us is bigger than what’s happening in Technology, Science, or Politics.
In Matthew 16:18, Jesus said, “…I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.” The word, “Gates” is symbolic in prophetic language for “power and dominion.” So, the powers of hell, the dominion of hell, shall not prevail against the Church.
The Church, right from inception, has survived and endured many terrible persecutions, and will always out-live her detractors. That’s because the Word of God is clear: “Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us” (Romans 8:35-37).
We’re forever victorious. We crush every opposition and conquer every adversity. That’s the blessing upon the Church. The Holy Spirit is the Boss of the Church, and He’s God. He’s working in, with, and through us. It’s impossible for us to fail. We won before we started; we’re just acting out the script that’s already been written. Hallelujah!
The Amplified version of our theme verse says, “But thanks be to God, Who in Christ always leads us in triumph [as trophies of Christ’s victory….” That’s what’s happening. We’re in a Holy Ghost victory parade. What you need is to stay focused on the work of the Lord, serving Him with joy. Hallelujah!
CONFESSION
I’m a member of the glorious and triumphant body of Christ. Therefore, I’m indestructible; no matter what happens, I win, because the Word puts me over and guarantees my victory. Greater is He that’s in me than he that’s in the world. I reign and rule with Christ, now and always, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
