“또 그들을 위하여 내가 나를 거룩하게 하오니 이는 그들도 진리로 거룩함을 얻게 하려 함이니이다”(요 17:19)
하나님에 대한 경외심을 가지고 있지 않은 그리스도인들이 있습니다. 그들은 자신들이 선택한 방식을 따라 살 자유가 있다고 생각합니다. 그러나 그렇게 하는 것은 위험합니다. 그리스도인에게는 옳지 않은 삶의 방식이 있습니다. 당신의 인생을 향한 하나님의 목적을 성취하고 싶다면 당신은 반드시 심령의 순결함을 지녀야 하고, 그리스도 안에서의 의의 본성과 참된 거룩함을 따라 살아야 합니다.
우리는 여호수아 3:5에서 여호수아가 이스라엘 백성들에게 말한 충격적인 내용을 읽을 수 있습니다. 그는 이렇게 말했습니다. “너희는 자신을 성결하게 하라 여호와께서 내일 너희 가운데에 기이한 일들을 행하시리라” 여호수아는 거룩함의 능력에 대해 이해하고 있었습니다. 그것은 잘못된 것들에서 자기 자신을 분리시키는 능력이며, 당신의 생각과 삶을 깨끗케 하는 능력입니다.
당신은 성령님을 통해 하나님과 교제하도록 거룩하게 된 하나님의 그릇입니다. 나쁜 태도나 세상적인 생활방식으로 인해 그러한 연합을 위태롭게 하지 마십시오. 고린도후서 13:5은 말합니다. “너희는 믿음 안에 있는가 너희 자신을 시험하고…” 항상 말씀으로 자신을 깨끗하게 하고, 시험해 보십시오. 디모데후서 2:21도 이렇게 말합니다. “그러므로 누구든지 이런 것에서 자기를 깨끗하게 하면 귀히 쓰는 그릇이 되어 거룩하고 주인이 쓰심에 합당하며 모든 선한 일에 준비함이 되리라”
삶에서 초자연적인 일들을 지속적으로 경험하고 싶습니까? 그렇다면 성령의 순결함 가운데 거하십시오. 잘못된 삶을 살지 마십시오. 디모데후서의 말씀을 따라 이 세상의 것들에 얽매이지 않도록 하십시오. “자기 생활에 얽매이는 자가 하나도 없나니…”(딤후 2:4)
당신은 복음을 통해 세상으로부터 구별되었지만, 그럼에도 생각과 혼의 거룩함을 통해 당신 안에 있는 세상적 요소를 제거해야 합니다. 이러한 일은 당신이 말씀의 권위와 주되심에 내어드리고 당신의 삶에서 성령님의 인도에 순종할 때 일어납니다. 할렐루야!

나는 하나님께서 사용하실 수 있도록 나를 거룩하게 하고 구별됩니다. 나는 그리스도의 형상대로 마음을 새롭게 함으로 끊임없이 변화됩니다. 나는 말씀과 성령님의 권위 및 인도에 양도되어 순결함을 유지합니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

THE PURITY OF THE SPIRIT
And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth (John 17:19).
There are Christians who don’t have the reverential fear of God; they think they’re at liberty to live the way they choose. But that’s dangerous. There’s a way of life that’s not right for a Christian, and if you’re going to fulfil the purpose of God for your life, then you’ve got to have purity of heart; you must live according to your nature of righteousness and true holiness in Christ.
In Joshua 3:5, we read something striking that Joshua said to the children of Israel. He said, “… Sanctify yourselves: for to morrow the LORD will do wonders among you.” Joshua understood the power of sanctification; the power of separating yourself from the wrong things; the power of purifying your mind and your life.
You’re God’s vessel, sanctified to be in fellowship with Him through the Holy Spirit. Don’t jeopardize that communion because of a bad attitude or worldly lifestyle. 2 Corinthians 13:5 says, “Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves….” Use the Word to purge and examine yourself always. 2 Timothy 2:21 says, “If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master’s use, and prepared unto every good work.”
Do you want to continually experience the supernatural in your life? Then, keep yourself in the purity of the Spirit; don’t live the wrong life. Don’t get yourself entangled with the things of this world, for the Bible says, “No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life…” (2 Timothy 2:4).
You were separated from the World through the Gospel, but you’ve got to take the world out of you, through the sanctification of your mind and soul. This happens as you yield to the authority and lordship of the Word, and guidance of the Holy Spirit in your life. Hallelujah!
CONFESSION
I’m sanctified, set apart, for God’s use. I’m continually transformed by the renewing of my mind, in the image of Christ. I stay on the path of purity, yielded to the Word, and the authority and guidance of the Holy Spirit, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
